I've been spending a lot of time in Cincinnati this summer, and falling into ruts. I found a cupcake store I adore, but **maybe** a little burned out on cupcakes after over indulgence. So on my last trip, I remembered some wonderful little cookies I had in the Diamond Lounge at Harrah's. Think about tiny little cookies your grandmother would have served with tea. So I went searching and ended up at the home of the famous Pretzel sandwich (which I intent to try someday). I was surprised they didn't have any prepackaged cookies to go. That seems like a missed opportunity to me. So I asked for two cookies each - there were two whole tiers of little cookies...Mexican Wedding Cookies, Thumb print cookies. I admit, I wasn't paying attention...and she put them in a bag and told me $6.01. Holy cow...only $6? I should of checked...when I got to the hotel it was only 1 small container of cookies. They were good...but they didn't rock my world. These aren't the cookies I was looking for. Not nasty or anything...just not eyes rolling in the back of your head good. Does anyone know where to get THE cookies in Cincinnati are? I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!

I have had mostly good experiences with my visits to this location. They usually have a great selection of bakery items. (if you haven't had one of the desserts/tea cookies you must try) I have gotten both bakery items and lunch. Only disappointment is that they don't always have all the listed sides available for box lunches. My favorite sandwich is the Asiago Supreme which is a asiago bagel with ham sundried tom. mayo lettuce and tomato. You can order hot or cold and as box lunch (get two sides) or sandwich only which will come with 3 tea cookies. They also have a frozen yogurt bar with toppings which I haven't tried yet as always find a bakery dessert to try.

I'm a sucker for pretty desserts with a good price point. So this place is pretty much like the holy land for me. I will try to grab lunch here one day since it's so close to my office.

I am pretty excited that they opened this new Servatii location on Fountain Square! It's a great addition to the downtown lunch options.... except for the fact that it doesn't have any seating. I went for the first time today and got the stuffed pretzel plate. I will buy anything that involves their pretzels- they are AMAZING. The plate comes with a sandwich on pretzel bread, a pickle, small side salad... and a bonus, 3 butter cookies! The sandwich would be pretty basic except that it's on the pretzel bread which really sets it apart. They have a nice selection of salads to go with it and obviously, being Servatii, the cookies are yummy. I am saving those for an afternoon snack at my desk. All of that for only $6.25. I think that's a steal! No need to review all the Servatii pastries in depth, suffice it to say there's little in Cincinnati that comes close. I am definitely adding it to my lunch list, but only if I need a lunch to bring to the office or if the weather on Fountain Square is actually nice... come on, where is the spring?!

The best pretzels ever. Friends from Philadelphia agree that these are the best pretzels you will ever have. Also, excellent cakes and pastries, including a very nice selection of European pastries. For a nice treat, try the German Chocolate Wedge, and don't forget that on Tuesdays, pretzels are buy-1, get-1 free! Certainly hits the carb spot for comfort food!

I hate to have to give the new Servatii's on Fountain Square a poor review. I like other Servatii's locations, but the one on Fountain Square just falls flat for me. There is some good about it and I will start with that. The food is decent. Of course there are the legendary pretzels. I like the deli sandwiches with the pretzel buns. I try to avoid the sweet stuff when possible, but I like the 3 tea cookies you get with the sandwich. I haven't tried their froyo yet, but it looks good. It might be a hard sell for them though with Graters right next door. However there are two big things that bring down my rating. First is the layout. I hate the layout. It's basically a pick up and go store. Which is fine, wouldn't be the first deli to have this set up. But the other sandwich shops in the area have seating, so if the weather isn't pleasant (which can be quite often in Cincy) I'm gonna choose the one with indoor seating. Also if you get there during the busy lunch downtown lunch hour, it gets very cramped in there because the space is pretty narrow. I'm not a fan of its V shape. The other setback are the workers. They seem nice enough, but there have been a couple of instances where my order was screwed up. The best was when they decided I should have an egg on the turkey and ham sandwich I ordered. It appears to be a first job for most the of staff. Its a service industry, so that can happen, but there should at least be a manager or two there with some experience, I haven't seen that at this location. Despite my negative review, its a place I will still visit. If I'm in the mood for a sandwich and the weather is nice enough to eat on the square, I will definitely consider Servatii's. Unfortunately the layout problem can't be fixed, but it could be a more pleasurable experience once the staff gets some experience.

Always friendly and sometimes a little busy. Make sure you are not in a rush as conversation and crowd could put you behind. Staff is great and nice variety. Usually a morning stop for my donuts.

Yall are all pieces of garbage. I drove for 12 hours from New Orleans to get pretzels here and you were closed. I got here at 4:15. When does it say you close on here? 5:00. Guess what? You aren't open on the weekends either. Cool. Go FYFs

Please go to any other location. A good portion of the staff is highly unpleasant and the food is a total craps shoot. When you make a "grilled" cheese sandwich in less than a minute with no discernable evidence that the cheese and bread were anything but microwaved, something is seriously lacking either in the training of the staff or the staff's ability to care. The last time I was there two of the cooks prattled on about how one customer obviously didn't know what chicken salad was supposed to taste like because he didn't care for it. That person had happened to walk in behind me and I heard him say it was his favorite thing on their menu but something was off about it today. He was extremely polite as he asked to exchange it but these two women would not stop acting like they were personally insulted... and then I get a microwaved grilled cheese today. Maybe if they spent less time acting appalled themselves fewer people would be appalled by their food. Just my opinion.

Their sandwiches and desserts are really good (pretzels are amazing). I have had the occasional somewhat stale bagel, but still never a bad experience.

We got a combo and chose a Reuben, pasta salad, and fruit cocktail. It came also with three mini cookies and a pickle. The total ended up being about 10 bucks. The cashier asked me if I wanted my sandwich warm. I have never heard of having a cold Reuben. I asked for it warm. We got our food and when I bit into the sandwich, it was lukewarm and tasteless. There was very little meat for what a Reuben is supposed to be. The pasta salad was bland and consisted mostly of broccoli. The fruit salad was a typical fruit cocktail in heavy syrup. The cookies were okay. There are a ton of other restaurants in fountain square that I feel would be a better choice in spending 10 bucks at.

I think I'm going to stick to Servatii for what they do best-- pastries. I went on Friday for lunch, and I left feeling fairly underwhelmed. The deli menu doesn't seem terribly extensive-- there are a few salad and sandwich options, but that's about it. They do have salads and quiches in a cooler that are probably great for a quick takeout option. I asked for the stuffed pretzel plate, which comes with a side and tea cookies. I wanted broccoli slaw, but they were out, so I went with a fruit salad instead. Since this location is a deli as well as a pastry shop, we expected that we would be able to dine in (similar to the Servatii on Court Street), but the one on Fountain Square only has a few tall chairs at a bar-type area near a window, and they were already taken. We ended up heading across the street to eat at the Westin, but when I opened my lunch box, there was no fruit salad. Oh well. The stuffed pretzel sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. This location still has a full array of sweets, so if I go back, that's what I'll get. It's just not set up well to be a deli, in my opinion.
