I visited Redtree this afternoon for a mid-work day caffeine break. I love the concept of an art gallery and coffee shop as they meld together beautifully. The inside is a little industrial but the spectacular art pieces and local works brighten up the space nicely. I ordered the Blended Honeysuckle Latte, delicious. I completely recommend it. I'm excited to stop back and try a few different coffees and possibly order a few things off their small lunch menu. Service was a tad slow, but I think they were in the process of training a new barista. This gave me extra time to spend perusing the locally made trinkets around the gallery, can't complain about that.

The biggest aspect that Redtree Art Gallery & Coffee Shop has going for it is the collection of art, knick knacks and jewelry on display, making it the perfect place to shop a little and grab coffee on the way out. As I am still on the search for my go-to coffee shop (judged by quality, speed, and proximity to my job), I have been trying out several different coffee shops in Oakley. Redtree had a decent espresso macchiato, but it took five minutes for me and my coworker to get our drinks, despite being the only two in the line. Overall, love Redtree from a shopping aspect; average from a coffee aspect.

Coffee, art, and sweet treats - all supporting local goods. Excellent combo! Low key spot with free WiFi and comfy couches throughout the space make it ideal for a work spot or just a nice little break in your day. Love their espresso based drinks and they have some great rotating coffee roasts. The owners are super friendly, so feel free to chat away and ask for their recommendations!

Cute coffee shop/art gallery. I usually enjoy the art on display/for sale here. That says a lot because how many times have we all walked into a coffee shop and seen strange "art" on the walls and thought "not only could I paint better, I do." Red Tree isn't great for groups if you all plan on arriving at the same time and ordering breakfast sandwiches, for example because it is a small coffee counter and all the sandwiches would need to be heated individually, which takes time. But as a meeting spot for a church's small group, study group, or stitch-n-bitch, it would excel. I like the artsy environment for studying or meeting a blind date; it's quite inspiring. Plus, it is female owned. Hooray for women!

I'll admit, I judge a coffee shop by compostable cups, fair trade offerings, and outlets. Redtree delivered on all three! They also have Donna's Cookies. Even if they sold me Folgers in a styrofoam cup and the whole room shared one outlet, I would probably give four stars for the Donna's Cookie. A colleague recommended Redtree as a place conducive for working so I checked it out with a stack of articles in my bag. There are some good sized tables-I need to spread everything out to be effective, but the space is on the smaller side, so it only takes one pair having a conversation above average volume to make it feel loud and distracting. If I would have had my headphones with me, it would have been fine; lucky for me, the pair left about 20 minutes after I sat down. The staff was great; friendly, helpful, conversational. PS: There's parking in the back!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Cincinnati! I'd give the Redtree 6 stars if I could! The staff is very friendly, the art is beautiful and always changing, and the drinks are creative and tasty. I especially like the Fresh Prince and the coffee coolers. This is a great place to work with a laptop or to visit with a friend.

Loved the atmosphere, but my americano was supposed to be "half caf" (I know that's a pain- I used to be a barista, and I asked her if she would make it that way before I officially ordered it), and I think she just put half the number of shots instead of half of them decaf and half regular. So I had a very watery americano. Also my friend that I was with waiting about ten minutes for his drink before asking the barista about it, and she had completely forgotten about it. Also the music was hit and miss, I thought the mix was kind of strange. Bon Iver followed by Dave Matthews Band?

I stopped by Redtree for an iced coffee on my way to an appointment. While waiting for my coffee I pursued a nice set of unique notecards and gifts. The art within the coffeehouse was both interesting and pleasing to the eye. The coffee was delicious and served with a smile. Redtree makes for a nice place to stop for coffee and perhaps one of the delicious sweets available :)

This is one of my favorite local coffee shops. I haven't tried much more than the house blend and sugar-free vanilla latte, but both are very good. I've also purchased quite a few gifts for friends here. With all of the local art work, jewelry, paper products, etc., you know you're going to find something unique. Add to that a friendly staff and reliable WIFI connection. I only wish they were open later!

Art, handmade goods and the best coffee in the area. My favorite is the flavored Highlander Grogg which they make every Mon, Wed, Fri & Saturday.

Redtree is kind of little hidden on Madison just across from Maribelle's, so if you didn't know it was there, you might miss it! But if you wander in, you'll find a cute little shop that doubles as an art gallery. They also have lots of little knick-knacky items for purchase -- mostly homemade items, and lots of local Ohio love (they sell those HOME shirts where the "O" in "HOME" is actually the state of Ohio). Of course, all of the art on the walls is available for purchase, and is a great way to support local artists. There's actually a good amount of seating, and would be a great place for reading or studying. I can't speak for their food (they have breakfast sandwiches and pastries, including -- gasp! -- Donna's Cookies), but their coffee is pretty decent, and their vanilla lattes are cheaper than Starbucks. Woot!

Been here once and had the Americano. Wow! Best I've ever had. It was really well done. Besides his barister-ing skills, the barista was great. He struck up a conversation and gave me some great advice on where to take my family camping in the Tri-State area. On a Tuesday morning there were not many people around. There were plenty of tables and chairs, and I saw quite a few power outlets available. It's a great place to enjoy some coffee while getting some work done on your laptop.

When think "local coffee" I tend to think "strong coffee," the kind that's unbearable to drink. Not so here. The blends are a wide variety for just about any coffee drinker. I think their Honeysuckle Latte is worth a decent drive to try. The staff is friendly. The prices are fair. It's the place you can meet a friend, a client, or camp out solo for a couple hours. Great local coffee shop.

Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. I cannot give this place five stars though because of one crucial issue... Parking is terrible. Over 90% of the time I've tried coming here there's been no parking. I can't spend money here if I can't find a location to park my vehicle without parking a mile away or risking getting my car towed by the businesses across the street that have lots of extra parking. Overall I'd easily recommend this place for studying, working, enjoying some really nice art, having good conversations with the helpful and cool baristas, and enjoying some delicious coffee.

This is is happy shop-and it made me happy! I loved everything from the honey soy-latte to all the local art around. It is a great atmosphere and there was plenty of room for a full house! The guy that was working there was super friendly and was talkative, which always makes the place seem more homey. Check it out!

I do love the feel of this gallery/coffee shop. It's more a coffee shop with great local art up on the walls than a gallery where you can get coffee (if that makes sense). I think I'm very likely to become a regular with my laptop here. Their coffee is very good 4*, and their service is also 4*. You can feel totally comfortable to pull out your laptop and spend hours getting work done. And one of the best parts is that when you get ADHD and look up from your work to zone out, there's great art to stare at! Another reason this place can't earn a 5* in my cafe rankings is the lack of food. You can't sit here long enough that you'll get hungry, because there's no food served here. They have a few pre-packaged brownies and a few muffins, but that's it. The perfect coffee shop has to have awesome coffee, great service, an environment where you can sit comfy for hours and work, and eat when you get hungry/want dessert. If you get hungry, go next door for some great food and tea and dessert @ Essencha. =) You can sit over there and work with a small change in scenery and no need to drive/re-park! ----------------------------------- Explanation of my rating system - 5*: Epitome of something, the best I've had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great food and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Food is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either. 2*: If you insist, I guess I'll come along. I'll find something to eat. But I wouldn't have picked it. 1*: No plans to come back. I'll try to talk companions out of going.

Red Tree has a local charm that makes coming here an enjoyable experience combined with feeling like you are doing something good for the local community. The coffee is very good. I asked for a recommendation and got a nice almond milk latte with honey and hazelnut. It was a bit sweet for my taste but I could tell they used quality ingredients. I love that they offer almond milk, it's so much tastier than soy and easier on the belly than udder-juice. It's a pleasant place to sit and work or mosey through the cool crafts made by local artists. I love the Ohio themed gifts, unique jewelry, and adorable cartoon art by Buck and Libby. Red Tree is Oakley's best kept secret!

Out of all the coffee shops in the city - Redtree has created an environment of community and creativity. With new art shows each month, tons of outlets, delicious food and drinks - everything you need out of a coffee shop can be found here. The bearded barista is pretty awesome, too ;)

Consistently good coffee, and consistently friendly, kind, and above-and-beyond staff. I love Redtree! I put this place on my regular rotation of work-away-from-home coffee shops; there's a bit of a background buzz, but it's chill enough that I can concentrate. The space is large, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, the wifi is reliable, and there are plenty of outlets. There's a free lot around back (the entrance is right before the storefront, if you're coming from Ridge Ave), though it does get crowded at peak times, like mid-morning on a Friday.

Great atmosphere here for a meeting over coffee. Now, the coffee on the other hand, you may want to bring your own. I've not had a good cup here. (Important: I'm somewhat of a "coffee snob" as friends and spouse tells me). Last cup (americano, tried to stay safe) tasted like burnt corn & I only drank one sip before I had to pitch it. Order some lunch: the lunch burritos/wraps are a good option and different from the typical lunch item. They have a large table on the right of the space for meetings - call ahead if you'd like to book it. This is a good 'third place' - but, again, grab coffee elsewhere.

Seating space is limited but you cannot beat the atmosphere. Being able to buy the local artwork is a really nice touch. This is my favorite coffee spot in the city. Parking can I've difficult during the weekend as the back lot shares space with several different shops and restaurants.

I am absolutely in love with this place. As a coffee-shop-studier, I've found it extremely difficult to find a "go to" place to study... Starbucks is always too crowded, with loud customers and music. Coffee Emporium doesn't have seating designed for laptoppers and note takers.. There are also few functioning outlets. FINALLY I discovered Redtree Art Gallery and Coffee Shop. A little gem in Cincinnati, with kind staff, large study areas, tables, and functioning wifi and outlets! To think that these would be a commodity, but I have not discovered another coffee shop to rival the atmosphere and amenities here. Cherries on top include the beautiful art displays and their support to community organizations. I am particular about my coffee as well, but I think everyone has their tastes and preference of a "perfect cup of coffee." I generally go for their lattees or mochas, both of which have been delish! (Boyfriend says his americano is yummy too :) ..) Drop by and have a look around- for those seeking a good study environment or relaxed ambiance for intimate conversation.. Look no further.

Nice size, fair amount of coffee and for options. Also has interesting local art (jewelry, photos, crafts...) for sale.

I walked in yesterday afternoon killing time after a walk in Ault Park because I've been wanting to check it out. It doesn't look like much from the front - that stretch of street has a bunch of businesses, but looks kind of dead. It's not in the middle of a lot of stuff. Nice atmosphere... not your usual cozy coffee joint - very minimal and intentional decorations - local art displayed on the walls as well as displays of things you can buy and take home - jewelry, clothing, photographs. There were quite a few people in there - seemingly having meetings. It seems like the place regulars go. The coffee was delicious. I got the house blend - perfectly balanced and easy to drink. Though I don't live in the area, if I was there again I would stop in for a coffee or even kill some time on the internet or reading a book. Chill spot. Thumbs up.

Red Tree Art Gallery is a beautiful little spot! If you haven't been, Red Tree is exactly what it sounds like. They have rotating local Art that is usually themed (which is so neat!) hung throughout the space. They have a full spread of coffees, teas, and some eats available. I had a breakfast burrito and it was really great! Oddly enough, what I loved most about the space was the mix of music playing. It was soothing, but not distracting. A great little work spot!

Whoa, there's a shop with tea, coffee, and local art? Redtree is exactly as it's advertised. The interior, although organically bare, gives a feeling & atmosphere of open space, which feels great when you just want to concentrate on your conversation or laptop work. If you become bored or need a break from studying, you can walk around & admire the numerous wall art by local artists. Redtree has another perk: locally made handiwork & cute, cuddly souvenirs! A lot of local coffee & tea shops have crowded or meter parking, but at Redtree you may park in the back for FREE. There's usually ample space, so there's no need to frantically spot one before it's gone. I would visit again just for the great work tables by the windows & away from the center. if you're looking for a mellow place to study, or have quiet conversations with a friend, I can't think of a better place!

Though some may disagree, this is the best cup of coffee I have purchased in Cincinnati. The coffee is fresh, tasty and bold, the baristas are really friendly, and the space just has a calm, peaceful vibe that is missing from more buzzy places like Coffee Emporium. When I need to get serious reading/writing done, this is where I go. I think they are working on more food options, which would be great (especially vegetarian ones!) But again, Redtree is a wonderful space, and it's always pleasant to browse the work of the local artists, featured throughout the store.

Art and coffee! We had a nice work offsite for team master planning here. The ambience was great, but the noise was distracting. All in all I would return personally with a significant other to have a nice conversation.... I would not reuse this place for a work offsite due to noise. Good coffee.

It took me long enough to get around to visiting Redtree after seeing them at the Yelp Bazaar, but I finally went and am so glad! Redtree has a great combination of coffee, food, local art, and local goods for sale. I had a delicious quiche and chai tea latte. I'm planning to go back for some coffee next time (this visit I was already over-caffienated). The staff is friendly and it's a great place to meet with friends, get some work done, or read a book. Great place to buy unique gifts, too.

This darling little coffee shop is on a stretch of Oakley which I whiz past frequently. Once taking the time to slow down and smell the espresso, Redtree became one of my favorite escapes in central Cincinnati. Perfect for business meetings, getting some work done, or brunch with a friend, Redtree sells coffee drinks, small bites, and local artisan goods. It's like Crafty Super Market or Fabricate but with java. Greeting cards to Cincinnati-themed tee shirts, to phone coozies, and paper toys for kids, Redtree boats a variety of crafts from the Queen City. My favorite item to order is the Carmen Miranda. It's a new concoction that's best described as an Italian soda meets bananas foster. Refreshingly sweet, I find myself looking forward to it every time I'm in Oakley. Food-wise, the counter is filled with Donna's Gourmet Cookies, peanut butter bars, and other homemade snacks. They have a small sampling of sandwiches, quiches and burritos. I had the bacon, egg, and potato breakfast burrito which was made-to-order and came with a side of salsa. The burrito innards were hearty and flavorful; I didn't even need the salsa to spice it up. With plenty of tables and natural light, Redtree is my favorite spot for meetings outside of Downtown. Price per person: $4.00 - coffee $10.00 - coffee and food

I ended up stopping in here when I had to kill time in Oakley. I wasn't expecting much but honestly anything was going to be better than sitting in my car for as hour. I was really impressed with this shop though. I asked the the barista what she recommends and she suggested their Honeysuckle Latte (real honey and hazelnut). While I waited for my drink I wandered around the shop and found all sorts of delightful locally made crafts and art. I ended up purchasing a bird pin for $7 and a pair of fabric button earrings for $10. There were several other items I wanted but I'm supposed to be being frugal right now. I sat at one of their many tables and hung out for almost an hour. Their music was at the perfect volume where you could enjoy it but you could also talk over it or tune it out if you weren't into it. I noticed on my way out that they have a somewhat closed off space with some larger tables which could be cool for an out-of-the-office meeting. Anyway, seems like a nice place whether you're just wanting to get out of the house or meeting with others.

Who doesn't love Oakley? It's important now, more than ever, to get out and support this side of town because the recent road construction has hurt local businesses. Polished concrete, hand-worked steel, large tables, and open space, all framed in with beautiful artwork. Rustic modern with a touch of class. Free Wifi. The tables and atmosphere are great for really digging Into your work, a book, or some good conversation. They also sell some handmade items like jewelry, accessories and assorted sundries. They have a full coffee menu and some healthy snack items. They close at 6pm weeknights in order to make the space available for rent for private events. So, if you are looking for a venue for your next gathering, look no further.

coffee, art, coffee, art, coffee, art, lunch. All that and more in a spot you could almost miss, but don't. Great coffee, all fair trade ingredients, and local artists to stimulate your senses, imagination, or mojo. Haven't tried the food, but it's just a matter of time. only draw back is they close early for customers, 6pm M-S, and 3pm sundays. so it's not quite ready for prime time in my book. But if I can start coming here in the evenings, look out Emporium, there's another coffee slinger in town.

  • Laurel D.

What a great place. The coffee is decent and they have a choice of almond milk if you're lactose intolerant. Very chic setting with the things on display mostly being for sale. Only one person working there which works most of the time, but sometimes it backs up for a few minutes. They aren't super busy but I think that's because they are really not within easy walking distance of much past that point on the street. Before them, going back toward Oakley square, you have The Spotted Goose and Blue Manatee. It's a bit of a walk with a Fresh Market on the way, but it's been a pleasant day each time I've done it. They are also right next to Sewn studio. The parking lot in the back is for both and there is usually parking on the street too.

Can't believe I'm just discovering this gem of a coffee shop in Oakley! My young professionals group decided to host a speaker here and we reserved the great big table behind the counter for everyone. This was my first time at Red Tree and I loved it from the moment I walked in. We ordered a carafe of coffee, medium roast, which was pretty good. I noticed they also have a great selection of baked goods including Debbie's Gourmet Cookies! I would definitely like to come back and meet up with a friend and try a cappuccino or latte.

I have stopped in to Redtree multiple times and some things I really like and other things are not as good. I really enjoy the espresso based beverages I have had here such as cappuccino and the dirty chai. The first time I had the dirty chai it was really good and the second time it was okay. The second time it was sweeter (I prefer less sweet drinks) and the spice flavor was not as good. I was informed that they normally have a house-made chai mix and that is most likely what I had the first time I ordered the drink. They had run out and were using a store bought mix. The barista asked about the beverage and said he would pass the information on about the better taste of the house-made chai mix. The taste of the drip coffee has not impressed me at all. I used to come in the mornings sometimes to fill my thermos or travel mug of standard drip coffee and was always turned off by the bad bitter taste. I always drink my coffee black if I'm not having an espresso based drink so I really do appreciated the taste of plain coffee. I tried it several times and had the same experience every time. I don't know if it was the quality of the coffee or something with the brewing but I was not impressed. It has been a while since I tried the regular coffee so I do plan to try it again to see if anything has changed. There are some baked goods on the counter from some local bakeries. I ate a pecan shortbread cookie from Donna's Gourmet Cookies and a lemon poppy seed muffin that was good. The shop is filled with little crafts for sale and there are a lot of nice things to pick up for yourself and as gifts for others. It's all appears to be made by local artists. There is also art on all the walls. All the times I have been in I have been very impressed with the service. Every employee I have interacted with has been super nice. I will certainly continue to stop in for espresso based coffee drinks and overall I do really like the place. If they bring back the house-made chai mix or if I like the drip coffee better the next time I try it I will happily give another star because that is all that is holding me back.

The Red Tree is just great. A perfect place to study or work on your laptop or read and a fantastic place to meet with a group if you reserve the side room. Service is always charming and friendly - no attitude ever. The music is never too loud or intrusive to focus on what's in front of you, always just right. Coffee and food consistent. My favorite "office-away-from-home" freelancer spot in Cincinnati be far, and trust me, I've looked!

Woww, for a self diagnosed coffee snob, I was impressed by their latte! almost as good as Collective Expresso (though the cafe au lait was just so so) Love that they support and promote local art community & local coffee (La Terza). There are so many handmade and local gifts displayed throughout the store that you can browse. If you're looking for a cool & unique gift, most likely you can find one here. This is an awesome space, nice & spacious, lots of tables, chairs & sofas. They even let you rent out their venue to host events. My very first time here was actually for an event and it was great, lots of space to mingle and sit. Free wifi, a great place to study or just catch up on that book you never finished w/ a nice cup of joe on a lazy Sat afternoon, too bad they close quite early, 6pm...

  • Marie E.

The space is open and not too busy. There is art but it isn't overwhelming. Lots of places to spread out. The music and conversation is the right volume. They also have some snacks if you get hungry as well as some local goods for sale if you feel like shopping. Overall I will use it to come when I need to study.

Redtree would earn 6 stars in my review if: 1) 6 stars were possible, and 2) its hours of operation were extended to fit beyond my 9-5 work schedule. Redtree hires friendly and knowledgeable baristas who brew locally roasted beans from Seven Hills Coffee Co. and offer great recommendations on their latest featured flavors (i love the hummingbird latte). Additional bonuses being great food/snack options (sandwiches/quiches, of the like) and yes, they do have the Taste of Belgium waffles that i love. The space offers large tables to spread out books and papers for ample work space. Other patrons are fairly quiet/low-key. While not a stiffly silent coffee shop, folks who are there for conversation are good about not disturbing the students and workers scattered about. While i've never purchased art here (but have been tempted on countless occasions), I've bought more than my fair share of hand-made greeting cards, coffee koozies, and cute cincinnati t-shirts. All in all, everything i would ever want in a coffee shop...if only it had longer hours so I could make it in after a work day.

I've been here 5 minutes so far, to get some coffee and do some work, and I had to stop and write this review. Met Justin, he made me a great iced coffee and I have found the atmosphere to be great. This is my first time here and I am glad to have found this little gem. Was worried about the two dollar signs but the prices all seem to be the going rate for a coffee shop, nothing more.

I'm a grad student who spends a lot of time at coffee shops. This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Cincinnati. I don't drink coffee, but their Chai is good and the tea just fine. The space and the service really stands out. I love the monthly rotating art exhibits, the owner/curator has excellent taste. She is also an very friendly person, and has done a good job in hiring a welcoming staff. The space also provides multiple types of spaces for studying, chatting with friends, and enjoying a good read. I have yet to join them for one of their monthly Friday art opening events, but I look forward to doing so sometime soon. Without Red Tree, Cincinnati would be a lesser place for me.

A coffee shop. An art gallery. A seller of local goods. Red Tree is all these things. And I liked it. I went here for a meeting and it was a welcoming spot as soon as you walk in. Small coffee counter to my right, lots and lots of tables for sitting around the room. There was a line when I walked in and the barista was actually having trouble with the machine, so I gave up my immediate coffee and went to have my meeting (I did later get a latte and it was delicious.) Red Tree is a great spot to meet. It's quiet but not too quiet that you feel you have to talk in whispered tones. The seats are comfy and the tables are large enough for both of us to have our computers out and still have plenty of room. All good things. I wish they had a little more art and local goods actually. It was a nice touch, but it ended up feeling like a great coffee shop that's trying to do local on the side. When I heard of Red Tree Art Gallery I thought it would be a real celebration of Cincinnati art, and it was, just on a smaller scale. Oh well, you can only do so much with the spot you have. The WiFi wasn't really working for me that day and I had to connect with my portable USB device, which was kind of annoying as I was having a meeting. Still, no one else has complained about that, so it may have been a one-off occurrence. Still, these annoyances are small - very small, as I had a wonderful time sitting and drinking me coffee and having my meeting. This spot is a little out of my way to go to all the time, but when I'm in Oakley, I know where I'm getting my cup of coffee.

Redtree is my go to local spot for networking meetings. Morning, lunchtime or afternoon Wendy and her team run a wonderful coffee shop and gallery. Two friends have had their birthday party here and I love going to their monthly art openings.

A friend held a fundraiser/bday bash here this past Friday, so in support of said friend, and finally getting a chance to check out the place, I headed out to Red Tree. First things first, if you've never been to Red Tree be aware, the sign for their old location, in the old building (a block away, right next to the store NEST) still hangs...so don't go looking for the place there...cuz you won't find anyone there. Go one block up, walk past all the whos whos in Cincy dining at BOCA, past a few more doors, THEN you'll arrive at Red Tree and it's new space. Why they haven't taken down the sign for the old space is beyond me. (Hey, Red Tree owners! If you're reading this...take the old sign down! kthxbai!) Red Tree is deceptively small-looking from the outside, but once I was inside I was surprised at how well-allotted the space was. Typically, galleries in "strip malls" that also house a coffee shop, tend to get the whole gallery/cafe space continuum all wrong...but everything works in RT. It's an open, airy, free-flowing space that beckons you to come in explore their wares, both of the artistic kind and of the culinary and caffeinated kind. While I didn't get to sample the cafe's menu, looking around at all the art and wares of artists was enough to satiate my love for local, unique crafts and creativity. As the fundraiser/bday party raged on, I couldn't help but think of what a great space this would be to host an event of my own. I'm always looking for great venues for Tweetups and movie screening venues and I totally could see a bunch of tweeps enjoying Red Tree's space. As far as art galleries/coffee shops go, Red Tree definitely has a good thing going for it fo sho. I'll definitely be back, laptop in tow, to relax and sample their coffees and menu items.

Redtree is one of my top-10 places in Cincinnati - the combination of art gallery and coffee shop is a definite win! As a teacher, I'm often looking for places to go to grade that aren't my living room couch. Redtree is the best place I've found in Cincinnati for just that. They have excellent specialty coffee drinks (I'm not a plain coffee drinker - but others tell me that it's great there too) and an excellent atmosphere. The artwork on the walls is for sale and constantly changing. Several artists also display their jewelry and t-shirts which are also for sale. And in my experience the place is always reasonably quiet with great background music at a great volume.

I'm not a coffee snob, so I can't tell you if their coffee is better than any of the other shops or not. But I hate going to Starbucks or any other big chains (hey - I'm a small independent shop type of guy), so I do my best to stay away from those places and search for my holes-in-the-walls. What I absolutely LOVE about this place is that it's spacious and it's comfortable and the service is friendly. And more importantly, it's not over-crowded (like Coffee Emporium can unfortunately be). I also really love that they have a cute & somewhat quirky set of gifts and other wares - kind of like a museum shop. They also seem to take a vested interest in supporting local commerce - from the art on their walls to the items for sale in the shop to even the baked goods. The banana mocha baked item I had was wonderful and is sourced from an individual, not a company. I don't know about you, but I really think that's kinda neat.

Many reviewers have mentioned Red Tree's reduce hours as drawback. While this is true, the reduced hours also enables Red Tree to provide their facility for community events. I am a member of the Continuous Web Development Group in Cincinnati and we use Red Tree for most of our evening meetings. The facility is very accommodating and the owner was around to service coffee and tea. Like everyone else has said the atmosphere is very welcoming, cookies are amazing and the art provides a great surrounding.

I'm surprised I haven't heard or seen more about Redtree with all the talk about local coffee shops in Cincinnati. All coffee is labeled as fair-trade and organic. They brew Seven Hills Coffee - a local roaster. I had a regular coffee and they offered a ceramic mug or to-go cup. I liked the interior space. It's a little bit contemporary, little bit cozy. Lots of folks chatting and web-browsing. They have art and crafts for sale by local artists. The items range from original paintings to adorable etsy-style crafts. You could spend as little as $2.50 up to $500 on the art for sale. They also have wraps and other meals there, but did not try them during my visit.

This is a really neat place. I went here for a baby shower and the food was excellent. It was a really great space for a small party. The staff was awesome and made every accommodation. Big plus is the showcase of local artisans. Coffee shop/cafe/art gallery. Pretty cool!

This place is my "office away from home office" and I absolutely love it! I come here often when I need to get out of the house and get some work done in a quiet, comfy place. The staff is very friendly, the soy hazelnut lattes are my fave, and there are tons of great handmade items to browse when I need to take a break from working. As an artist, I've also shown some work in a few of the Redtree shows and the owner, Wendi, is very nice and down to earth. Sometimes it can be hard to find a non-pretentious art gallery, but the Redtree Gallery is very helpful even for newbie artists.

Fantastic space, EXCELLENT coffee, wonderful art, jewelry and crafts and an esteemed business "citizen" of Oakley. Very warm and inviting place; Oakley's very lucky to have them. Brave the construction and dip inside.

This is absolutely my new favorite place to go on the weekends to hang out. The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is just chill. Delicious coffee, beautiful gallery, and good food too. I will be coming here a lot.

It'd probably better to call it a coffee shop first and an art gallery second, but even so, redtree has a lot to offer. 1) Friendly baristas who are very relaxed and willing to jump into a coversation with you. 2) Good study spot - They seem to have a good number of regulars, so the shop isn't eerily quite, but definitely not overcrowded. There are several large tables if you need to sprawl out too. 3) They play pretty standard coffee shop music if that's your thing. By that I mean norah jones and acoustic guitars.

Lovely place to hang out, grab coffee, sit and work for a while. I love the atmosphere and the various little spaces to sit. Been to some special events here too and I love how flexible the space is.
