Exceptional quality of ingredients and total commitment to vegan and raw foods. We had the buffalo wrap, sunny burger, tropical smoothie and blueberry pie - the flavor and texture of every item was perfect. Gotta love leaving a restaurant feeling satisfied, not weighed down, ready to face the day with a smile!

This was my first visit to the Loving Hut. I am not vegan but consider myself to be a healthy eater. The taco salad was amazing! It's hearty and flavorful enough that non-vegans would enjoy as well.

I have been to Loving Huts all over the world. They are a cult chain that are consistently good, and affordable. This was by far the worst food that I've had at a Loving Hut. My BBQ wrap was salty but flavorless-store bought BBQ sauce, raw gardein strips, and some lettuce. Cold and kinda slimy. My friends ordered the tempeh sandwich and udon noodles, both of which were mediocre at best. Served on paper plates. The service here was so sweet and friendly, so I feel bad for leaving a mediocre review. This is clearly an establishment that is trying their best, and for the great cause of veganism. Other pros were free water/tea, free wifi, and very affordable prices.

Meat eater here and I loved this place...though I don't like getting shamed by the cow poster in the bathroom. I'm not sure how they made pho taste so good without meat, but theirs was very good. I also had the spring roll meal which I enjoyed the sides more than the rolls. The rolls were a little small and didn't wow me with flavor.

The food was AMAZING!! I had the sunny wrap, pumpkin chili, and split a piece of raw blueberry pie. I can't decide which I liked the best because it was all that good. The husband got a BBQ wrap and said it was as good as any meat BBQ wrap he'd had. They also have free iced tea if you eat in. The pricing is also really reasonable considering the fresh and organic ingredients. I do think when I go back I'll probably just get it to go though. 99% of the seating is in the strangely lit, no window back room that I wasn't a fan of.

The Loving Hut is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. Healthy, organic, sustainable, what's not to love about this place. Back when I was eating a mainly Vegan diet, the Loving Hut was my savior. Anything I enjoyed with meat and cheese could easily be replicated vegan and in the most delicious way possible. The staff that works there are extremely dedicated and passionate about what they produce. Talk about a friendly bunch. I've tried a good portion of the menu and the one item I can't help but repeat is the Spring Roll meal. It's very healthy and very addicting, I didn't know that was even possible! The Spring Rolls are cooked to perfection, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside stuffed with perfect ratio of veggies. The jasmine rice that comes with the meal borderlines the best rice concoction I've ever consumed. Sweet and nutty with peas and carrots, it's heaven. The garden salad served on the side is fresh and crisp. You must get the ginger almond dressing to put on top, I'm not sure what's all in but it's my favorite dressing I've had. I wish it was bottled and sold, I think the world would consume more veggies because of it. Even if you describe yourself as a meat and potato kind of person, the Loving Hut has something to offer everyone. Plus their desserts are the bomb, check out the marble "cheese" cake. You can't even tell the difference.

I love everything about Loving Hut. The people who work here REALLY care about this food, and whether you are just trying vegan food on for size or a full time vegan, you will appreciate that effort greatly. Everything here is vegan, so I can order without the usual questions and hesitations. Freedom!! I particularly like ordering from the raw menu, and can't recommend the Lucky Sea Kelp dish enough. I call it a salad....it's such a tasty combo of flavors. I have also enjoyed the Spring Roll Meal. My dining mate last time had the Vegan Sloppy Joe, and raved about it (he's not vegan). Now, I have to tell you about the desserts- don't skip the desserts!!! I have tried both the Organic Carrot Cake (good, but the icing was a little sweet for me). But that Chocolate Cake omg...omg. Let's just say that it's a good thing I don't live within walking distance of LH. If you have kids, you can't beat the kid's menu at LH also. I plan on working my way through the entire menu over time. With pleasure. : )

Vegan. Ranch. Dressing. It's so good. I think that may be my number one argument for you to go. I feel like Melissa McCarthy in the SNL Hidden Valley Ranch skit (if you haven't watched it, do yourself a favor and do so now), any time I eat it. On a more serious note: I don't care if you're a vegan or if you're a meat-loving omnivore, everyone can find something to enjoy at the Loving Hut. They also have some great options for carry-out/party hosting too. I brought their spring rolls as my contribution to a party & everyone raved about how good they were. They come frozen with a sauce for dipping, and I just had to pop them in the oven for a while to re-heat them up!.

My friend and I had the sloppy Joe, raw Reuben sandwich, dumplings and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was not well seasoned and tasted really bland but the sandwiches were amazing and the dumplings were really yummy too. They use a seed based bread replacement for the Reuben and it was soft and very flavorful! Affordable too given the high quality of the ingredients.

I am a firm believer that if you pass by a business that catches your eye, you should stop and at least poke your head in instead of telling yourself you'll go back. So when we were driving by the Loving Hut, a place I had heard about for a long time and never had the chance to visit, I parked the car and we went inside the Hut. Besides a slightly weird name, the interior is kind of odd, sort of part restaurant and garden. There appears to be a much larger dining area in the back but we were there for carryout and will have to explore it later. We had a Green Smoothie and a cookie. The Smoothie had a fresh taste that healthy homemade food has and the cookie was only ok. The cookie was vegan chocolate chip and really needed butter/eggs/etc. So, I know I will try to revisit and eat some of the very good smelling food and to drink some more smoothies. Pros: healthy, reasonable cost, friendly staff, gluten/meat free options Cons: some desserts might miss the mark

Holy Shmoly. This place is amazing. My wife was recently doing a New Year's cleanse, so I Yelped 'Vegan' and this place came highly recommended. I ordered the Seitan Panini, which was amazing. So good, in fact, that I ordered it again a week later. And if my wallet permitted, I would order it once a week for eternity. It was that good. The only downside was that, despite calling in an order for carryout on a Friday night, I waited in a line for about 15 minutes to cash out. But the following week (on a Tuesday) I walked in and was out within 5 minutes. But whether you have to wait 5 minutes or 15 minutes, Loving Hut is worth it.

First off, Lynn was extremely helpful and great to talk to. She helped me quite a bit and is very friendly and professional. Cincinnati needed a place like this. I visited on a short trip recently and wanted a lot of things on the menu and purchased quite a few items. First, my wife rarely finishes any meals, ever. She got the sloppy joe and loved it. She ate every bite. I can't speak for it because she ate it all! Second, we had some spring rolls and mac n cheese. I make awesome vegan mac n cheese and this is almost as good as fresh homemade. It is nearly perfect. The spring rolls were good to start with for .75 each. Third, I had the crispy burger. The patty is awesome and the sauces and veggies they put on it is tasty as well. It would be comparable to a higher-end chicken burger. The next day, I had the buffalo wrap. It was very good, but probably my least favorite of the lot. I wish I could try more of the menu and will be back as soon as I can.

2 words: PUMPKIN CHILI! If you're vegan come to this place, if you aren't vegan still come to this cafe. My boyfriend is in love with their pumpkin chili. It is soooo good. I've tried to make my own but it doesn't compare. So please, for me, get the chili. You won't be disappointed. For dinner I had the CK Panini. It was very good and surprisingly filling. The bf had the Udon Noodles with veggies, which is pretty much a stir fry. Oh and he got the chili...duh. I'm looking forward to eating here again and trying some new!

A wonderful place to get great vegetarian or vegan food!! Since moving about 45 minutes away to a rural setting , I don't get to come as often as I would like, but it is always a stop I make when I am in town for something else. Everything I have tried has been wonderful!!

I'm fond of Loving Hut. To be honest, I find the food just OK and the interior a little depressing. It's kind of out of the way down Montgomery, past Kenwood Mall, past the Trader Joe's. But there are just some days when you want to enjoy a light meal in peace, and that's why this little place is special to me. If you are Vegan, a health nut, or dabbling in the art of raw food, this place won't disappoint. As I'm none of the above, I can't come here every day, but I do enjoy it once in a while when I'm feeling adventurous a la kelp noodles. The vegan mac n cheese is quite good, but not the best I've had (see vegan shells and cheez at Melt). Thanks to the wonderful people who run this place, it lives up to its name. Service is always friendly and quick. It's no wonder they seem to have a loyal following! They are always busy packing to-go meals for people, so clearly quite popular, despite its off-the-beaten path location.

I am not even vegetarian and I love this place. The food is healthy yet very filing. I have not had anything on the menu which did not taste great. The menu is very diverse. Very clean, very nice staff. Although prices recently went up here, it is still well worth the money.

Outstanding. I am from Columbus and wish this place was there! I would eat here every day. I got the spring roll meal and the portion size was pretty large. I practically licked the plate clean. I will definitely come back in the future.

Are these guys big fat liars, or what? With every taste of everything I try here, I simply can't believe they are creating things without meat or dairy. The vegan macaroni and cheez is astounding -- creamy, rich, delicious. How do they do it? It was hard to make up my mind when officemates and I would order in for lunch, so I'd always get way too much food. Fortunately, the prices are as awe-inspiring as the food, with sandwiches around $6 and Pho for $4. While everything I've had here is top notch, other great dishes include the grilled dumplings (not too gooey/sticky, as these can tend to be), the American panini (think a vegan Reuben) and the raw taco salad. The atmosphere isn't much -- think your typical deli or bakery -- but it's more of a carryout place anyway. One gripe: they close super early. 7 pm! So if you are planning dinner there, plan for an early bite (or take carry out back to your place).

A friend & I ate lunch here for the first time and really liked everything: the food, the service, the atmosphere, etc. I had the House salad with almond ginger dressing, which was not only pretty to look at but tasty, fresh, and a lot of salad for $4. I also ate the Pho, GF, soup which was good - I had to cut the long noodles but it was all good. The best vegan / vegetarian place that I've been to or know of anyplace. My friend also had the House salad, with a different dressing. She really liked it, and she also said the 2 spring rolls that she ordered were good but only 2 bites each - she wished they'd been bigger. The desserts looked really good but we resisted temptations. The restaurant was busy and we waited in line to order. The service at the counter was friendly, as was the server who brought us our order. The place was clean and organized, and offers free tea and water that you help yourself to, as well as earth friendly disposable utensils and recycling bins. The bathroom was spotless. We ate in the back room that held 6 4 top tables and 4 2 tops. There were several tables in the front as well as outside. The decent size parking lot is in the back down a narrow driveway that served both incoming & outgoing traffic. I think I will try parking in the library next door next time.

LOVE that everything here is vegan! The chocolate cake was gluten-free too! Always love their smoothies and mushroom panini! The back room has quite the inviting decor!

I'd been wanting to try The Loving Hut for a very long time, but had sort of been afraid because I'd heard that most of their dishes were based on fake meat...which I'm not a huge fan of. However, I am so glad that I did try them. My vegan friend and I went one night for dinner. She had been there before, but this was my first visit. They have a parking lot in the back, which I wouldn't have known about if she hadn't been driving (and been there before). The inside is a little run down looking and didn't look super clean. You order at the counter, choosing from the menu on the wall. They give you a number and you go sit down to wait for them to bring your food out. There's a larger dining area in the back. We went on a Thursday night and I was very surprised and impressed at how brisk business was. I was not impressed, however, by how long it took to get our food...I mean...it's not like anything was getting cooked. I ordered the raw vegan Reuben, which came with a salad. It was absolutely delicious. I was very impressed. I don't remember what my friend ordered for her main dish, but she did order a side of vegan mac and cheese, which I tried. Very tasty! On the way out, she suggested we get a cookie for dessert, but my eyes were drawn to the refrigerator case on the right...I was what looked like a chocolate cheese cake and a carrot cake...and...so many delicious looking desserts. She got a vegan cheesecake and I got whatever the chocolate looking creamy dessert was (it was super delicious...so who cares what it was really called.) I got a piece of the carrot cake to take home (it was good, but not as good as the chocolate dessert.) I honestly wasn't too sure what to expect from the Loving Hut, but I was duly impressed by the delicious food if somewhat unimpressed by the interior. However, the tasty food more than made up for the unprepossessing interior. I can't wait to go back...now if I can just convince the BF to go.

This placed changed my whole perception of vegan food, my friend talked me into going a couple of years ago and I have been going since then. The Buffalo wrap is amazing and I always have to get the gluten free carrot cake.

I was excited to try this place - I'm vegetarian, so I can't help but get excited walking into a place and knowing that I can eat anything and everything on the menu. My husband was less excited, worried things would be bland, but he ended up loving it! The parking situation is a little odd - you pull into a small parking lot in the back, but it is a single lane entry and exit which makes me a bit anxious. You order at the counter. I went with a Vegan A1 Hoagie with a cup of Vegan Macaroni and Cheese, and my husband had a Buffalo Wrap. The food was all really good. The burger was probably one of the best I ever had, and the vegan mac and cheese didn't just taste like plastic like they tend to do. The only complaint on the Buffalo Wrap was all the hot sauce kind of pooled at the bottom, so there was this unexpected pocket of spicy. We ate in the back of the restaurant where there is a decent-sized eat-in area...with loud acoustics. I normally have a rather soft speaking voice, but it felt like every word I said was amplified. Or heck, maybe it was just my excitement at eating such yummy food! :)

This is just the most incredible place. We have recently gotten back on the vegan wagon and when I checked for vegan places on yelp I was so excited that this was fairly close to where we stay every week. We're weekly visitors from Nashville. I had their American panini today, my daughter loves their pho, and the spring roll plate is great for a hungry teenager apparently because my oldest devoured hers today :) the staff is always lovely and the energy is so nice in there. Wonderful vegan dishes. Not too salty, not bland, perfection.

Love this place. I took my mom when she came to visit and she was in heaven. The staff was very helpful in explaining ingredients and menu items to us. We were probably a bit annoying with all of the questions we had, but they were very patient and helpful. My mom got the sloppy joe and loved it. The mac and cheese was great. I got the American Panini and it was also delicious. I will definitely be back. Great food and even better people!

This is for the people who want their vegetarian food to taste like it is the real thing. The restaurant is set up deli style where you order at the register and there is a nice trickling water fountain in the back. The spring rolls, mac-n-cheese and fried rice are fantastic as well as most of the local treats they sell in the coolers. Great place to get a healthy meal on a Saturday afternoon.

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall shop when you first drive by, but it is way more than that! There are plenty of vegan options, and everything I tried was fantastic! I was very satisfied with this shop, and I would go back again in a heart beat!

I have just one word... AMAZING!!! Fresh, healthy, vegan food that tastes great and is made by friendly people. I've died and gone to heaven! The American panini is a must!!

I come through town a lot. A lot you guys. This place is a life saver cause I live in California and am half a bitch so I need a lighter diet than what the Midwest dishes out. I stay nearby so this is perfect. They run a tight ship. Inexpensive. Healthy and healthy vibe. If I could date a vegetarian restaurant, it would be this place. Maybe even marry. I'm getting my head around the marriage thing more and more. In a community of great burger joints, this place survives. Get involved. I don't know if Martin Lewis and Andy Dalton are the answer for the Bengals. Would also like to see Israel recognize 1967 borders with Palestine.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Cincinnati! Even though it is only vegan you would never guess it with these meals! Some of my favorites are the Grilled American Panini, the Sunny Wrap, all of the paninis are amazing actually. Oh and I always make sure to grab a dessert especially the carrot cake, cherry cheesecake, and chocolate cake. I love them so much I haven't tried the raw cakes yet but I'm sure they are just as delicious! If you try it, you'll love it! Also it's super reasonable!!

If I lived closer then I could eat here every day! The food, from starters to desserts was very good. I may need to take home a dozen of the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies!! Great service, great food (vegan!), and great prices. I'm in love!

So good. I'm not vegan but I love this place. Very good food... the grilled cheez with red pepper pesto is great, cookies are amazing.. :-) everything I've tried is good.. my dog even likes their vegan doggie treats. He atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable and the service is great. Can't wait to go back!

This place is delicious! I'm not vegan but I have vegan tendencies. I got a Mediterranean sandwich and they were so kind as to make it into a wrap for me! I also had the spring rolls. Very yummy as well. The decor is kind of dated but the food was great. The prices are decent too. If I lived in Cincinnati, I'd definitely go back!

I have loved everything I've tried from here, and will continue to go here. The back room is kind of awkward, no natural light. But, no reason not to try the fabulous ALL VEGAN food!

They make so many amazing vegan options here. I can get my Mac n cheese fix, great pho, and sandwiches, desserts etc.... The owner is awesome too. She remembers us each time we come through the city!

I tried Loving Hut for the first time a couple weeks ago and have been back 3 times since. The spring roll meal is surprisingly delicious and filling. The black rice burger is flavorful and different from any veggie burger I've tasted and the pho, to me, is lighter and tastier than Cincys famous PLTs. There's free tea abd a whole swarm of desserts I can't wait to try. I think I'm in love...

Even though I haven't tried everything on the menu but I'm never disappointed when I'm at this place. If you want something Asian, they have vegan Pho, and vegan spring roll. If you like chocolate, get the vegan chocolate cake. ENOUGH said.

I was crazy excited to try this place. I'm vegan, and when I found out there was a 100% vegan restaurant around where I live I was ecstatic! My girlfriend and I went--she ordered a burger which came with chips and a side of mac and cheese. I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to come with chips but didn't, as well as a side of mac and cheese. We both started with spring rolls. The spring rolls.. well, they were spring rolls. My sandwich was flat and boring. All I tasted was pickle. My girlfriend's burger had so sauce that nothing would stay on it. They both tasted horrid. And the mac and cheese? It tasted like someone melted a gallon of cheddar Daiya and mixed it with some noodles. We both felt ill afterwards and were highly disappointed. I was so excited, and didn't ask for a refund because I want to support an all vegan restaurant, but damn. Also, what's with the fountain pond thing in the back? Upside is that the staff was the bomb. They were very nice.

I was out and about a few days ago. I am transitioning to a vegan (what I call "humane") lifestyle. My spouse is having a harder time than I, but I always like to check out local business and try out some humane aka vegan options. I ordered everything "Togo". Sick spouse was at home. Damn cold and flu season, but I like to be as useful as possible. It was tedious to find because Google Maps was being a bitch. Parking is in the back, but I missed the driveway the first time. Walking in, I was a bit overwhelmed. The menu is extensive! They seem to be sensitive to any dietary allergies a person may have (I try to avoid soy due to the natural hormones it produces, but I was trying something new so, not too concerned with my limitations). The staff was friendly and understanding while I took my time deciding what I want. I ordered a Buffalo Wrap and Mac n Cheez for spouse and Grilled Cheez and Sweet Potato and Bean Soup for myself. They asked if I wanted my sandwich or soup heated since it was "togo". I didn't. When I got home I heated my food. The Grilled Cheez was not for me. Not terrible, just not what I was into. The soup was excellent (but I LOVE soup in general)! The spouse thought it was "just okay". He found the texture of the CK a little strange and thought it would be better with Seitan. I don't like buffalo sauce so I can't offer an opinion. I had a bite of the mac n cheez and found it was pretty damn good! Spouse thought the creaminess and texture was good, but would have liked it to be a little "tangier". If this place wasn't so far from home, I'd be there more often for sure. I'll probably go back on occasion when possible. Food was decent. Service was good. Staff and patrons were friendly.

While the place is humble, prices are fair, portions are decent and food is tasty. It's not the healthiest vegan food. The Chickn' is breaded and deep fried served with BBQ sauce, and I asked for brown rice and got brown FRIED rice instead. Again, all very tasty but not super healthy. Cabbage soup was delicious. Servers were friendly though service was slow. I'm sure for Cincinnati this place is great, but when compared to other vegan spots across the US, lets just say this one doesn't make the top 10. But hey, if in Cincinnati I might chose to eat here again if I find myself in the neighborhood though no need to go out of your way to eat here.

  • Andrea C.

Oh so good. The black rice burger is awesome and the raw almond-ginger salad dressing is amazing as well. The only uncool thing about this place is the weird-ass hours; I'd go much more often if they were open after 7.

How sweet it is. Arrived in Cincinnati, went straight to The Loving Hut and was blown away. Food is amazing, Prices Rock, and the people working there are the best. Friendly as it gets. I've tried 4 different item on the menu so far and every one of them are awesome. I can't wait to go back try something else. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for working so hard to be the best. It's so nice to be able to walk into a place and get vegan food without having to ask a million questions. The Pho here is amazing! The smoothies are fresh and taste like a dessert. We drive quite the distance to eat here and are never disappointed!

I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but this place might make it easier to consider. Great Pho and Sloppy Joe. Very reasonable prices give this place the fifth star. Please take a chance on a healthier option and try the Loving Hut. Great food, staff, and experience overall. Can't wait to return to this location.

I have to admit that when I first heard of Loving Hut I immediately thought it was part of the Pizza Hut chain. So imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting to get a Meat Lover's Pizza only to find a completely meat-free restaurant. I am, of course, kidding. I have known what Loving Hut is for quite some time. In fact, if you're vegan and you live in Cincinnati, then you know what it is too! Why? Because it's the only fully operational vegan restaurant in town! What does this mean for you? It means that no matter what you order on the menu it's going to be free of any animal meats or products. Which means no cholesterol, less fat, less damage to your heart, etc. Which means you might actually live to see the year 2075 or witness the Bengals win a Super Bowl, whichever comes first. The great thing about Loving Hut is it's not all super healthy raw vegan food. That's not to say that they don't offer that type of food because they do. What I'm saying is you can come here and eat a barbeque wrap, an A-1 steak burger, chicken wings, fried rice, mac n cheese, and chocolate cake, all at once or over multiple sittings depending on your appetite. And you would think that being vegan would make the aforementioned delicacies taste bland or inedible but you would be wrong. The food here is simply money. Being vegan myself I can say without question that this will be my go to spot for eating out for quite some time! Not only because I love the food but because I want to support this enlightened establishment as much as possible.

Outstanding casual little gem of a restaurant here. All vegan food and all so flavorful. I enjoyed a wonderful raw pasta with complex textures and flavors. It was my birthday when I stopped in over six months ago and was treated to a dessert called the raw fruit cake which was incredible. It was a mix of kiwi, grape, pear, and apple layers with cashew creme filling. Best vegetarian restaurant I ever been too. I wish it was in my hometown.

I spent my college years (plus some) in a crunchy, hippy, often-vegan/veg focused town. Prior to that, I had never experienced the range of vegan fare-both good and abhorrent- out there. After living there I learned to really like some of the raw, whole, non-meat options out there and decided to give this joint a try. It's in a odd area for me, a bit difficult to find the real parking lot, but in the end I was in the area of the Loving Hut running some errands a few weeks ago and decided to have a vegan/veg throwback, and hopefully reenergize for the rest of my errands. Walking in, the environment was fine, but confusing. The menu is on the wall but busy (and I later learned it's also written in a pamphlet) and I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted. Then I saw these quotations on the walls as I waited for a confused 80 year old with her family, trying to explain the concept of a faux-meat sloppy joe. Given these messages and my previous experience, I was looking for the soulful hippy types (dreads, cords, etc). who might have decided on this decorating avenue. Looking around, all I saw was a hard working mix of folks, mostly Asian, none seeming too crunchy. I shook that expectation off and tuned back into the 80 year old orientation to faux meat, deciding that vegan Cincinnati is certainly entitled to being different than vegan-Eugene, OR. I ended up ordering the spring rolls and salad dish and a vegan sweet potato chili. I'm not one for too much fake meat or soy product, I was really just hoping for some solid, real food, and I wan't disappointed. The spring rolls rocked, the salad was fresh with great dressing, and the soup rounded it all out. I really liked my food. It was a good throw back to my college days and I left satisfied. What wasn't so satisfying was the decor. There is an Asian inspired theme in the lamps and lighting in the back, a pretty cool water fixture, and those darn sayings all over the place. In my reading, as I was eating alone, I learned from a brochure (and the TV's advertising this) that the Loving Hut is a franchise. I guess that explains the odd mix of decor, but it was still a bit strange. I, ultimately, don't go to restaurants for the decor- though it does play a role- so I'm happy give this place a good review. I'd be hard pressed to find too many dishes without faux meat product, but the food I had and a few other dishes did look worth checking out.

My husband and I are both meat eaters but we wanted to try something different. We had the grilled dumplings, The Golden Burger, Raw Pizza, and chocolate cake. All organic and amazing fresh. We will be eating there again soon!

A vegetarian or vegan person certainly appreciates an all-vegan restaurant. But this place was slow, kinda dirty, and the food was pretty boring. My dining buddy ordered udon noodles with veggies. It came out as a flat stack of noodles that were pretty stuck together - no pillowy delicious udon noodles here. And the veggies consisted of a few stalks of broccoli and some sliced carrots. Similarly my chik'n panini was ok but not too exciting. It pains me to not give a better rating given the vegan menu and the all-compost dining accoutrements but, alas, I can't lie. Other details: decent-sized parking lot, but watch out for the single lane exit/entrance. They close kinda early on Saturdays (7pm).

I don't normally like imitation meat products so I avoided those items on the menu and opted for the sushi and spring rolls. Both were good. They offer some fun treats and sweets along with smoothies that are also very good. Everything you eat on or out of is either reusable or recyclable, and they provide the necessary recycling containers including compost. You order at the counter, take a seat and they bring your food to you when it is ready. You bus your own table unless they happen to come around and do that for you. The decoration within the restaurant is made up of reclaimed items from local buildings. They follow a strict green philosophy, though it is not in your face if that bothers you. They use produce from local farmers and they plan to offer cooking classes in the near future as well.

Normally, because of my food sensitivities, I have to be very careful about what I order on a menu. Most places are not explicit about their ingredient list, so in order to stay a healthy and happy Kaisa S, I have to ask the servers a ton of questions about anything that I order. Not so at this place. The Loving Hut is exactly that...a loving place. A co-worker and I were bored of the same old tired lunch. We wanted something healthy, delicious, and affordable. Enter The Loving Hut. A quick Google for vegan restaurants and we were on our way. If you are not looking for this place, you just might miss it. It's tucked away on Montgomery Road near Ridge Avenue. There is ample parking in the back, although the driveway is a bit dodgy. The staff is friendly and courteous. They allowed us to peruse the menu at our leisure without having us feel like we were wasting their time (you know the feeling, you walk into a restaurant and the staff are giving you that impatient look that says, " hurry up and order something so that I can move on to the next customer without having to deal with you a moment longer). The menu (like the seating at this locale) is expansive. Go to the website and check it out! We got the quinoa burger & corn chips (delicious), black rice burger w/ corn chips (delicious), spring rolls (delicious) and a smoothie (delicious). Did I mention that it was delicious and all of the items were under $7 each? We will definitely go back to try other menu items. I'm sure they are going to be delicious as well.

The Loving Hut has the most amazing food, even when the service is slow. The last time I went, I waited almost 30 minutes for my meal, but I immediately forgot about the wait when it arrived. The menu is so extensive - you can eat raw, all vegetables, or enjoy Gardein and other vegan "meat". My favorite is the barbecue wrap and the pumpkin chili. Parking is not a big deal - there are always spots on the street, don't worry about the narrow driveyway!

Prospective visitors should be aware that unlike other "Loving Hut" and "Loving Cafe" vegan restaurants in other cities, this restaurant does not have an Asian-themed menu, other than a few items. Rather, it is mostly a (hot) sandwich place. That said, it's a good one. What we liked a lot: macaroni and cheese, sunny burger, crispy burger, sloppy joes, cole slaw. Not so much: cabbage soup, buffalo wrap. I was intrigued by the vegan dog treats on display and hope to check these out in the future. Good place for a casual yet hearty lunch.

I would have never gone to the Loving Hut if my husband didn't insist because I usually associate vegan with tasting bad. Now that I've been, I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong. While there is still the same bamboo flute / handwritten signs / overwhelming amounts of color and exotic descriptions that you would expect from any vegan restaurant or neighborhood head shop, The loving hut defies expectations by actually tasting great! Even the heartiest of carnivores would be able to find something they enjoy on the menu. Top it off with free unlimited tea and you'll find your inner peace. The prices are fair considering the well-known fact that money can't buy me love and the staff is incredible friendly. Be aware that their hours can sometimes be limited (especially on the weekend) so check to make sure they are open before you drive over! Parking in rear.

I was looking for other vegan options in the Cincinnati area as I have burnt myself out on the eateries downtown and in Northside. I drove a little bit up 71 to find the Loving Hut. Instantly I'm struck at how reasonable their prices are. The place was very clean, inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the spring roll meal and the absolute best vegan mac n' cheese I've ever had in my life. I have a new favorite spot to hit up now, and bonus, there is a Trader Joe's right down the street!

Great place to grab a bite to eat. Food is delicious - I had avocado and portabella sandwich and my girlfriend had quinoa burger - both of which were delicious. Ice latte was also really good, but comes with a lot of ice and a little bit of latte. Free water and iced tea. Outdoor seating. Will definitely be going back.

I visited The Loving Hut after reading other Yelp reviews about this place. It did not disappoint! It is a little difficult to locate, but it's right next to the library. Parking is around back. I ordered the sloppy joe sandwich - regular (there was also a mild option), and it was served on a whole grain bun. Let me just say, it was scrumptious! It came with organic corn chips and cole slaw, but I substituted the cole slaw for a side salad. I also had a cup of three bean and sweet potato soup, it was also delightful! I wanted to take home a cup of vegan Mac and Cheez but they had sold out of it for the day, maybe next time. I will definitely be back to this place and recommend anyone else who is looking for tasty vegan food give it a try.

I discovered this place because of Yelp! I was tired of going to my other tried and true vegetarian places and needed a new place. I then discovered this gem only 10 minutes from my home. I wanted the whole menu, but decided to try the Raw Pizza - the flavors are delicious and a perfect combination. I will be back to try the other items such as the Black Rice Burger, Blueberry Bliss Smoothie and others! My friend and I also realized the most important aspect of this place, EVERYONE there is happy! From the staff to the diners. There is a calm and mellow peace there. So go try it!

I've been back and The Loving Hut still does not disappoint. This time, we had one of the workers take time to explain the menu options to my friend who hadn't been there before and she made sure to tell us the dessert options for the day. The food came out very quickly and was amazing, as usual. There was a delay in bringing out my friend's smoothie, but as soon as we pointed it out, her drink was brought to her just a minute later. You get so much food for you money here, as well, especially if you get the dinner option that comes with rice and a salad. Next time, I need to branch out to some of their raw options because they sound amazing.

I am not a regular at vegetarian/vegan restaurants, so take that as you wish. I ordered the A1 burger and walked away content. My companion had the American panini, which they described as above average. The place could use some interior design work. It had a very rundown/hole in the wall feel, which I do not enjoy at restaurants. I would consider this a decent place for lunch.

This place freaks me out! No I am not a vegan but I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the summer rolls which were good. I also ordered the mac n cheese which was surprisingly tasty. The place is pretty clean. The restaurant is weird because it seems like it is a cult of vegans that own it. It is really weird because the employees there seem to be keeping some sort of secret from the rest of society. They also always keep the TVs on this weird channel that has this Asian lady known as "the supreme master" on it that talks about how everyone should be vegan because being vegan will somehow save the world. I feel like the people that work here and the people that frequent this place worship her or something. I just got a weird vibe from this place overall.

This is a place you can enjoy even if you love meat like I do. My vegetarian wife took me here a few years ago and I was skeptical, but after eating their buffalo wrap I have been hooked since. I always say that if i could eat here at every meal I would never need meat again. We go here about once a week if we can find time as their hours are kind of limited (my only complaint whatsoever). They get kinda busy at times but they keep the line moving pretty well for only having a few employees on the line making food. They have a huge menu, all meat free but you would not know it by how good the fake meat is. They have awesome smoothies also. The spring rolls are awesome as are their fake meat burgers- lets just put it simple, there is not a bad thing on the menu that I have tried so far. It is a nice place to sit down and eat at, the rear of the building has a nice little indoor fountain with a bunch of fishies and plenty of tables to sit at. The front also has a few high top tables as well as a few outside tables on the sidewalk. Do yourself a favor and try this place even if you have no intention on being a vegan or vegetarian, this place may just convert you to being able to eat delicious food without hurtin cute lil cows:)

I LOVE this place. As a vegetarian it's a great thing to be able to walk into a restaurant and not have to skim through the menu to see something I want to eat. Everything on the menu is vegan. I've brought meat-eating friends here as well as they've liked: American Panini, "Chicken" Patty, Sloppy Joe, and the Spring Roll Meal! If you eat 100% RAW - get the Raw Taco Salad (Cashew Cheese Dressing!! MMmm!). If you're going here for the first time I don't think you'd be let down from anything, but I'd say try the Spring Roll Meal or American Panini if you're hesitant about eating Vegan Food *Also, for those that have mentioned the "weird" atmosphere because of the Asian Woman they used to keep on the TV's. They don't do that anymore. They play 'normal' everyday things on the TV's now and keep them on silent. :)

My husband and I love this place! I've been a vegetarian for over 15 years and he has just recently gone vegan/raw. We need more places in the Tri-State like the Loving Cafe. As a vegetarian or vegan it is wonderful to enter a restaurant and think, "oh my, I could order ANYTHING on this menu, be able to eat it and be satisfied." Although I haven't tried everything on the menu the dishes I do enjoy (veggie sloppy joe & brown rice burger) are good enough to eat once a week (and boy do we ever!).

Great find, we had a wonderful light dinner there last night. I will recommend this to all of our foodie friends. My wife had a wide selection of gluten free food, including gluten free desert. We shared a veggie roll appetizer, fresh and well prepared with a delectable sauce. In season now they have a raw veggie lasagna, fantastic fullness of flavor that came with a salad. I had the best panini I've ever had with mushroom and pesto. The crew there is very nice. We were surprised with an extra treat of a zucchini roll. I can't do this justice in describing, it's a mouthful. I'm sure we will go back and I hope this little place makes it, it's a one of a kind for our area.

I WANT MORE. This place is unreal. An all vegan restaurant is already a dream come true in its own right, but then you look at the menu and they've got everything you could want. I went there with my vegan girlfriend and a couple of non-vegans, we all loved everything. I had the American panini and demolished it in record time. Seriously. DEMOLISHED. Definitely a place to hit up if you're a vegan or veggie, or even a carnivore. My only gripe is that they aren't open later (till 7), but oh well.

OH.... MY.... GOODNESS. This place is so amazing, I can not wait to go back again and again and again until I have tried everything on the menu. The food is just plain mouth-watering. I had the Vegan Pate sandwich and sampled the American Panini and the spring rolls. Everything was stellar. The menu is extensive and everything is vegan! It was literally a dream come true. The atmosphere and decor was simple but cute.

This place is so wonderful although the parking is a little scary. It has a single lane to the back parking lot with not much room to see pulling in and out due to the closeness of the building to the street and parking drive. There is parking right in front on the street. It is very clean and the people are SO FRIENDLY & helpful. They have bus pan, trash, recycling, & composting options for when you are finished with your meal! Public library next door makes this a great spot for moms with small children to get together for lunch. They also do some great fundraisers and have specials from time to time. this place is as good as it gets when it comes to delicious vegan cuisine in the cincinnati area! it's basically a paradise for anyone who enjoys a plant based diet, ranging from the health conscious to the all around foodie. their diverse menu offers everything from salads and soups, to comfort foods, to smoothies, raw entrees and the most DELICIOUS selection of deserts [including raw options!!!]. i have never tried something here that was short of fantastic, and the cozy environment & friendly workers top off the experience. everyone there is super happy to explain the menu and suggest something based on your likes. i love their small assortment of 'take away' vegan grocery goods -- particularly the 'love force' bars and kelp noodles. there's parking in the back, and right out front on the street. i highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a diverse vegan dining experience -- whether it be takeout or dine in :)

Loving Hut has wonderful all vegan food! They even serve a raw vegan menu! When I come here everyone is always so happy and in a very cheery mood. The food is amazing and they are also very nice about educating the public about a vegan lifestyle. I would suggest getting any of the sandwiches and also the smoothies are out of this world!

So, I have been meaning to review this place after stopping in a couple months ago. I was on the #4 bus, on my way to Kenwood from downtown one late afternoon, and was super, super hungry! I knew this little cafe was on Montgomery Rd. so this became a slight detour for my friend and I. When we got to the entrance, we were surprised to see they were closed in the middle of the afternoon. I wasn't aware, but they do close for a couple hours between lunch/dinner. Fortunately, as soon as the owners saw us they rushed over to the door and very graciously encouraged us to come in. We were apologetic and said it was fine if they were closed, but they insisted it was not a problem. This was incredibly sweet of them and I was very thankful, being that I was in desperate need of a lunch fix. We quickly ordered so as to not be more of an inconvenience than necessary - I got the spring roll, fried rice, and salad and found it to be very satisfying and tasty! I am unsure what my friend got, but I do remember that she also enjoyed her meal. We sat outside on a small table with our food to-go, since the restaurant was technically closed, and only moments after sitting down the owner brought out two glasses of water for us. The service/hospitality of the owners was exceptional and didn't go unnoticed! I can't wait to go back and try some of their other items.

This is the only vegan restaurant in Cincinnati, and I am so glad it exists! It is so nice to be able to be able to eat everything on the menu :). I first started going when it was "The Loving Cafe", and was so nervous that when it became "The Loving Hut" that the menu would change to more of a vegan fast food theme (like other loving huts), but they kept all of their usuals :). They have raw dishes too (they are all awesome). I would definitely recommend! My only wish is that there was music playing in the dining room!

Had trouble deciding what to order on the menu because of all of the selections. Excellent choice for a tasty plant based meal and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed the quinoa burger with house salad...tasted the raw Rueben which was also really flavorful. Plenty of parking in the back of the building and lots of seating. Wish it was closer to home!

As a vegetarian I was very excited when I found out that there was an all vegan restaurant in Cincinnati. And as a person who tries to do their part to reduce, reuse and recycle, I was happy to find that the interior of the restaurant was built using a lot of reclaimed materials and that they have recycling and compost bins. While the vegan options and prices are right the actual food and atmosphere are not. The quality of the food was equivalent to that of a vegan school cafeteria (if such a thing existed). The spring rolls were greasy and the fried rice was bland and crunchy. I am interested in other cultures, belief systems and ways of life, BUT I do not like to have someones beliefs shoved down my throat....especially when I'm trying to eat! The never-ending play of Supreme Master TV on the large-screen TV in the dining area accompanied by the many portraits of the Supreme Master herself made for a very awkward and uncomfortable meal.

i think this place is properly named. loving hut. there are a few reasons why "loving" comes to mind when I visit this place. For starters, i love the food. Im not a vegi myself, but I like to eat healthy. I always feel like I can trust the food they prepare. Everything is always made fresh, with fresh produce. From what I can see, the staff always uses proper food handling, keeping cooked and uncooked food separate. If this is your first time eating here, I'm going to take a guess that the menu is going to be very confusing. How can a vegan restaurant have drumsticks? or turkey? or burgers? The things that they do with meat alternatives is amazing. Their menu reads as normal deli style restaurant, Sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. I like to get the buffalo rap, which has faux-chicken and plenty of veggies. The buffalo sauce is great to, not to spicy. They carry plenty of desert items as well brought it from local bakeries. Their location is a bit hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for. They have plenty of parking in the back lot, so you won't have to fight for one of the few street spots P-ridge has to offer. the seating is decent, though I have ran into a crowd around lunch. The staff also has a lot of love. They are knowledgeable about the items they are preparing. they are incredibly friendly, especially when you bring a newbie in for their first taste of vegi-cuisine. Today, their credit card machine was down, and they took an IOU. What kind of place does that? They take great care of their customers.

I just love this place! Very clean, very good feeling when you walk in the door. The food and drinks are freshly made and yummo deluxe. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. And the folks there are sweet and friendly. Support the local establishments!

The Loving Cafe isn't all in your face with their "Go Green. Save the Planet." style message but they are backed by the questionable motives of self-titled Supreme Master Ching Hai and several of her products and images adorn the otherwise colorful and modern cafe. But whether you believe in her Quan Yin Method of meditation or not, you'll find some wonderful food at The Loving Cafe. For curious carnivores and those of us who remember the days of meat there are plenty of replacement choices like the convincing Sloppy Joe and Sweet Orange Sour that's almost indistinguishable from a plate of sweet and sour chicken. There are also vegan versions of spring rolls (both baked and fresh), Vietnamese Pho, sushi, and more. There are also loads of original recipes that take vegan ingredients like veganaise and vegan cheese and layer on vegetables and dressings to create some incredibly tasty food! The selection of thick smoothies and vegan desserts rounds out the menu that is constantly being added to and supplemented with daily specials. The service is a little slow right now as the team gets things off the ground and the prices are a little high for the amount of food you get, but knowing that anything on the menu is vegan (and usually delicious) is a convenience that us veg-heads rarely get! Well worth a visit!

Loving Cafe has my favorite salad dressing ever. I'm not a big salad person, but I could eat their salad every visit. I recommend the sloppy Joe to a non veg/vegan, it is really tasty! I have taken my manager here three times and she's liked everything she's had (she isn't veg or vegan). On Saturday's they have specials. One visit my boyfriend got a sweet and sour chicken type meal (special on a Saturday). He thought it tasted pretty believable. They also have smoothies and great cookies and cake.

I think to speak badly of a place called the Loving Hut brings the risk of bad karma so I am thankful that this little spot is a jewel and all my words will be kind. This was my first visit and I had not looked over the menu on line in advance. The menu is on a large chalk board behind the register, so for the novice, ordering feels tricky. Simply ask for a copy of the printed menu at the register, it gives more details on the components of the various dishes offered. The woman at the register was kind and patient when I asked several questions about ingredients. We ordered and went to the back room where our food was delivered in a fairly reasonable amount of time. We had split pea soup with barley which was excellent, a side of vegan mac and cheese which I give average marks due to being overcooked and bland, as well as a grilled vegetable panini and a sunny burger made with brown rice, both quite good. The atmosphere is shabby meets Zin, but clean and for me a dirty place is a deal breaker. I saw the T.V in the corner but it wasn't on, so we missed the "indoctrination" program another reviewer mentioned! I was looking forward to that experience. Overall, good marks for the casually crunchy and cruelty free loving from the ovens at Loving Hut. I'll be back for more.

The only completely vegan restaurant I know of Cincinnati! The staff was amazing and the food was even better. Vegan grilled cheese + peanut butter smoothie = the best lunch ever!! I will say, the ambiance is kind of weird. The place looks like it used to be a Chinese restaurant, and instead of changing the decor, they just left it as it was. Still, I don't mind a few crazy decorations if it means eating this great food!

Horrible. Sure, it may be the only ALL vegetarian restaurant, but the selection and quality of the food was awful. I went with several people and tried about half the stuff on the menu and none of it was good. Why not just go to a restaurant like Melt that can't claim to be EXCLUSIVELY vegetarian, but still has a better selection of vegetarian and vegan food than this place. Apart from the bad food, the atmosphere added nothing, and the staff was nosy. She asked us if we were vegans and tried to convert us. I was like, "You're a stranger and we're customers. Please let us eat is peace." The whole experience was a bit like having dinner at your pushy vegan friend's house, if that friend is a bad cook, charges you for your food, and has a house with zero coziness and charm. No thank you.

I ended up here on a late Friday lunch whim. I'm sure I have driven past without giving it any notice before - but despite some issues, I'm glad I stopped in. The space itself was bright and cheery and the concept is fairly simple - go up to the counter and order your food. They have ample seating for those who want to eat in. The prices are definitely affordable and they also have a special board. In addition to all of the vegan eats available - they have some vegan baked goods for an indulgent end of the meal. I ordered the spring roll dinner with a slice of chocolate cake. The dinner was only $6 and extremely filling with a large salad, fried rice and three spring rolls. The cake slice only added $3 to the tab. I later shared the cake with my husband and we enjoyed it. My biggest issue with the place came when I first walked in...I quickly decided what I wanted and a woman behind the counter said that she would be with me in a minute. No big deal...there was a gentleman at the counter along with a lady. The gentleman and lady had apparently already placed orders and as each was completed, they made their way out. Suddenly another woman came in grabbed two cookies and then just told the employee two items she wanted to order and they quickly put together her order. By this time, a table decided to come up and order dessert and did so...finally, a gentleman came from the seating in the back and asked for another summer roll and for his plate to packed to go as well....once all of these people, many who approached the counter service area after me, were served, I was finally asked if I could be helped. Once I actually placed my order, it was quickly prepared and packed up for me (it was to go.) I'll definitely come back and check it out with hopes that my service experience was just a one time hiccup.

The food is really good...soups are hearty and the sandwhiches are rich without being too heavy. Most of the sandwiches are done panini style and served with tortilla chips. You really can't go wrong whether you are vegan or not!

Vegan paradise in Cincinnati! Everything on the menu is vegan,(which I am not but appreciate the cuisine) I have experienced about 90 percent of the menu and it was all delicious. The prices are CHEAP. It's wonderful to go to a place where you can order anything off the menu guilt free due to the low prices AND nutrient value with no suffering to your dinner or wallet. They also serve the BEST locally produced drinks from Five Star Foodies. The Hibiscus Cider is my favoirite!

Went today with my sister, I had a turkey panini sorta thing that tasted kinda like a Reuben, and she had the fried chicken, we were both very happy with the meals. Followed it up with vegan chocolate cake that was also great. Pricewise this is one of the most affordable vegetarian restaurants I've ever been to. Oh and the counter girl thought I looked like Morrissey.

This place has a huge variety of food, sort of a mix of various Asian and American cuisines. What I liked initially is their menu is FULL of pictures of the food, which is helpful to the curious at heart. The staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. Meghan the owner is always happy to educate, inform & direct you to menu items that might excite you based on your culinary likes. My partner & I are not fully committed Vegans but we ALWAYS choose Vegan items whenever they are offered. I guess in a way, you could call us closet Vegans. My favorites include: the Black Bean Rice Burger, the Avocado, Coleslaw and Tofurkey sandwich & Chocolate cake. Zacks favorites: The Raw Pizza, Pho Soup & The Green Monkey Smoothie. We are all lucky to have an outstanding Vegan restaurant within walking distance of our home. Make a trip to The Loving Hut and experience quality food cooked with integrity, compassion & Love.
