I'm still searching for a great, cheap, taco joint in Cincinnati. Lime is alright. I like the great hot sauce and salsa selections. They only offer grilled chicken (which is good) and ground beef. Where's the carne asada, or carnitas? I would just consider this place more tex mex. The service is good and they do give chips with your meal which is nice. Prices are fair.

WTF! Wednesday, Thursday & Friday they have happy hour with $2 tacos, 2-for-1 beer, and $3 margaritas and sangrias. With a variety of salsa's to go with your meal, what's not to like?

I love it here. I recommend the avocado bacon quesadilla. - I get my bacon on the side -

Lime, is what it is. It is not Chipotle, which I think is what people walk in expecting. Its just not. That being said, it's not bad. I usually get their salads, as their quesadilla's are a little too rich for my taste, the fiance however, loves them! The thing that I really like is the salsa bar, and the hot sauce bar... delicious. It's fast, affordable, and filling. Again, don't go in expecting Chipotle, and I think you'll be pleased.

Lime has a great quesadilla, excellent hot sauce choices, and a nice salsa bar. Their burritos and tacos are ok, but rather expensive for lunch. Definitely worth a trip, but I'd rather eat chipotle.

I went here for lunch on a Sunday. It was a good serving size for an affordable price. You order at the counter and they give you a number to bring to your table. It's seat yourself. It's in Rookwood so sometimes parking can be a bit crowded. I liked that they had their salsa bar available to you. I got the chicken soft tacos. They were large tacos. I was able to have some leftovers. It also came with tortilla chips that were warm and perfectly salted. There is plenty of food and it came out pretty quickly. The ambiance has a typical charm with warm yellow walls. There is a darker area in the back of the restaurant for a more intimate meal and high tables in the front. The staff was friendly and had suggestions for when you don't know what you want. I heard the quesadillas are also delicious! I would definitely go back!

This is a retroactive review.. from January of 2014.. In a nutshell if you read Rose K's review from 8/29/2015 you'll get the picture.. 1. Guacamole was too limey. 2. Salsa bar was good. 3. A bit pricey. 4. Burrito bowl was *meh*. 5. Why so many chips? Sheesh This is *not* an authentic Mexican grill. Uh..was I wrong to expect such? Dunno.

Lime is conveniently located at Rookwood right near the Hyde Park Taste of Belgium and Bravo. I will say the food is okay but nothing stand out. All entrees come with chips and there is a delicious salsa bar where you are able to choose from a wide variety of salsas. Love it. The food is average. I can't say that my burrito bowl was anything stand out. It was mostly rice with a few pieces of chicken, black beans, cheese, and a scoop of guac (which honestly tasted like it came from something prepackaged). I think my major disappointment with the burrito bowl was that it wasn't very salad-y. I'll have to order an actual salad next time. I'm a fan of Lime for the nights they have specials. On certain weeknights, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I believe, they have 2 dollar tacos, 2 dollar cerveza (aka the Mexican beers) and 3 dollar margs. I've had the tacos--my favorites have steak--and they are pretty good. In addition, they have a fantastic outdoor patio and is great to sit out and dine on during the warmer months. Lime has some good deals which will keep me coming back but the food isn't anything special. If you are looking for authentic Mexican in the similar fast casual style, Mazunte is my pick every time.

I'm a taco fanatic and Lime is sufficient to cure those Mexican cravings in a pinch. I'm not the biggest fans of chains, but Lime delivers fast and offers a variety of options. I recommend taking advantage of the multiple deals Lime has to offer: burrito monday, taco tuesday, and happy hour $2 tacos on wednesday, thursday and friday. They're all a steal. Of everything I've tried, the steak and queso taco is my favorite. Be sure to get the fried peppers and onions on top. The seasoning they use on them is addicting. The salsa bar and plethora of hot sauces is a nice touch. Sometimes the chicken they serve is a bit dry, bleh. The only problems I have with Lime is the fact that I can never, and I mean never find the trash can in the place (I think they move it constantly) and the fact they play the strangest collection of music on loop, super loudly. Carry out is the way to go.

I really wanted to like this place but I can't say that I did. They run pretty decent specials during the week. I got the tacos with chips and a drink on a Tuesday for only $5.99. However, the tacos tasted like something I'd throw together in 5 minutes. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning and all the other ingredients tasted like they came from a can. The salsa bar, for which they're known for, wasn't all that impressive either. I expect bolder flavor and even a tiny bit of innovation amongst all the Mexican options out there.

Good food and the obvious selection of all of the different salsa's was incredible. I would give them 5 stars with the exception of the mini plastic salsa containers. I get that they are trying to keep from people wasting salsa, but you can only fit a very small broken chip into the container to get salsa.

My mom dragged me into what I expected to be another Chipotle/Qdoba place. But Lime gets points for being a little different. We stuck with tacos, which were delightful and decently sized. Especially the surfer taco was great. I also tried the steak and queso which I wasn't very impressed with. We started with guacamole, which kind of tasted like it came out of the wholly guacamole bag- not terrible, but kind of gushy. I really like the salsa bar, and the variety of beverages they have: pacifico, corona, margaritas, sangrias. The major points come in when we noticed their happy hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (fondly called WTF)- $2 tacos, beer, and $3 Sangrias and Margaritas. I'm looking forward to coming back for that!

Went here with our 2 dogs after being denied entrance onto the Bravo! patio (they don't accept dogs?). The food was good and the service was great! We were greeted with a water bowl and immediate refill of water for the tired pups. The server helped is get our order in without waiting in line and the food was tasty. The patio itself is really nice with umbrellas and heaters. We will be back!

Ya had me at self serve salsa and hot sauce bar. I enjoyed a "nude" Big Cali Burrito. I had it vegetarianified (sorry that's not a real word, but you understand). The huge scoop of homemade guacamole, cilantro-lime rice, salsa asada, black bean corn salsa, tortilla strips, and cheese made for a perfect lunch. With my own personal concoction of random hot sauces and salsa choices, I can't wait to return and try some more combinations. The patio, once the weather warms up, will be a great place to relax and chow down on some food. If you want some negatives, I guess if say that the men's baño is undersized in that there is only one toilet and no urinals. So you better hope that one person is not having, ahem, Montezuma's Revenge and you just need to tinkle. Ha ha. In closing I would say that the service was excellent. My party had about 7 people and the waitstaff were very friendly and even refilled a friends chips. I'd like to see Chipotle and the other burrito places take a lesson from this place.

Pros: The major plus is the sizable salsa and hot sauce bar. They sell beer, frozen alcoholic and non alcoholic margaritas, tequila, and frozen sangria. Every entree comes with chips. They sell bottomless chips and salsa. Baja fish Tacos, XL Burrito with spicy beef, Taco salads, sizzling fajitas are pretty good! There is outside seating. No annoying servers(get in line order what you want, get your salsa and drinks, and they bring your food to you. that is it) Cons: The music is too loud inside. Also, if you prefer the "subway/Chipotle" style of assembling your tacos or burritos, you may be disappointed. It is a semi closed kitchen. However, they will make any substitutions or special requests you have. Depending on what you order, it can be more expensive than Chipotle. Some of cooks had some gnarly and dirty uniforms/ aprons on, kinda gross

The food was average, but it was nice to have a fast food Mexican grill that offers fish. I wish they added shrimp to their menu. Portion size is nice, and their salsa bar was lovely thanks to the chips that come with your order.

Ever since we lived in San Diego and got hooked on Rubio's Fish Tacos (baja crispy with white sauce and shredded cabbage -- mmm) I've lived for biannual visits back home to the coast to get my fix. While Lime crispy baja tacos aren't exactly the same -- they're dang close. Scoop up salsa verde and a Pacifico and you might just be in Cabo.

For being a chain restaurant they are good, as you would expect of a Chain that has standard processes and approaches. They get a huge huge A+ for being dog friendly. Their food is good, but as with every Mexican joint they are going to be compared to Chipotle. Sadly, Chipotle wins over Lime Fresh Mexican in the category of fast-casual dining. We got the XL Burrito and we love how they have lots of veggie options. Also, they have more adult drink choices than Chipotle so that is a PLUS. I recommend you try this place to decide for yourself. In the end it is a close walk with the dogs for us, so we will continue to go here from time to time.

I liked Lime but mostly for all of the hot sauces available. The food tasted fresh but I didn't think it was special. The salsa bar is just okay. I really like some of the hot sauces which are served in their containers from the store. I would feel a little guilty returning to a place mainly for an item which I could purchase myself. I don't have any complaints though really.

This place is like a Moe's. You go to the register and order your food and they bring it to you. I got the Cheese quesadilla for only $5.99. Came out hot and delicious! I love their salsa bar! I can get a variety of salsas and fresh cilantro. Place is extra clean, staff is quick and friendly. They also serve alcohol here. Great atmosphere and would definitely come back.

I like this place! I don't understand why it has a low rating. Cheap, good tacos along with salads, burritos and quesadillas. Cheap sangria, beer and margaritas. It has a good patio with plenty of seats and very fast service. The happy hour is w-f from 4-7 which is pretty late in my opinion. Would definitely recommend - never had a bad experience here!

The BF and I ate here recently. It was early on a Sunday afternoon and we managed to hit it just before it got crowded. My first impression from outside was that it had a nice outdoor seating area that looked inviting. Once I got in the door, however, I was a little unhappy because of the vast menu board above the cash register. This being my first visit, I had no idea what to order and, because it wasn't crowded, felt pressured to make a decision because some people came in behind us. If there had been a line in front of us, I might have had enough time to review the selections, either that or I would have felt even more pressure to make a decision. I chose to order vegetarian tacos (not specifically listed on the menu, which I did not like). Apparently, their vegetarian style is to have both refried beans and regular beans. I found it a little weird to have both, so ordered my tacos without the refried. The BF ordered a queso burrito without meat. The whole process was a little confusing as they just hand you a number without telling you they'll bring it to your table. I also thought the prices were a little high, but I guess that's so they cover the delivery to your table and the free salsas. We headed for a seat outside as it was a nice day. Most of the diners were outside. They have a large patio area and a generous inside seating area (however, the seats outside looked way more comfortable than those inside.) I went in to get my drink and some salsas. After two trips back inside for the napkins and forks, our food was already ready and at our table. My tacos (crunchy) were over-topped with sour cream, guacamole and pico. It was hard to figure out how to pick them up and eat them, because there was so much sitting on top of them. They were messy. They were okay tasting. I honestly don't remember the beans on them (maybe because I didn't get the refried?) The BF seemed to enjoy his queso burrito and said he would go back again. I guess I will go, but I don't think I'll be saying "Lime! Let's go there!" any time soon...or maybe, even, ever.

So my girlfriend and I could not decide what we wanted to eat for dinner... We searched the web for something close by. We decided on Lime, and it was a great decision! It was our first time and the staff was very helpful and friendly! The food was EXCELLENT! It was a pleasant surprise!!! The salsa bar was amazing!! I ordered the beef tacos and she had a burrito bowl, and we shared the not yo mommas nachos!!!! We both also got one of the frozen drinks!!! All in all, this is a great restaurant!!!

This place is a chain, and I've mentioned before on a previous review that on principle, I very rarely, if ever, bother to revuew chains. However, this place is a chain new to Cincy. Plus, I enjoy it. Therefore, I feel justified with breaking my own rule on this occasion. Lime is in the same vein of chain (ooo, I'm a poet who didn't know it) as Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. However, Lime does have more unique choices with items such as baja fish tacos. Also, it isn't set up assembly line style as it is in the aforementioned places, they actually bring your food out to you. Plus, they have a variety of alcoholic beverages, which is always a plus in my book. They have plenty of outdoor seating for larger groups of people as well as tons of indoor seating. The negatives: the music they play is terrible. I mean it is absolutely horrific. It is the most random mix of songs from mid 2000s and on. Every time I've been here, it's been difficult to get beyond it. Second negative: the staff isn't the brightest or the friendliest. I've noticed a few people working here who have provided normal, friendly customer service; this average level of service was only noticeable because of the complete lack of service from other individuals. The 12-year-old girls who take orders and the registers act as though you coming in to their establishment to order food it's completely putting them out and being a complete inconvenience to them. Why do I keep coming here? The food is fairly decent, plus they give a 20% discount to nurses. I'll like most places that give me a discount for wearing scrubs.

Fresh ingredients, homemade chips & salsas! Tried the queso burrito and guac with chips - very tasty and filling. Speedy service. Music too loud. Fish tacos were very good too!

The layout of this place is a mess. If there are more than 4 ppl in line, then you are waiting outside. The one sided salsa bar is small and there is only room for one person deep so you have to wait for ppl at the salsa bar to leave before you can get to the soda fountain. Otherwise you can walk around to the other side of the restaurant to skip to the soda fountain. The salsa bar is a challenge to navigate. They use ladles that hit the top of the salsa bar when you try to pour your salsa into a tiny "to go" cup. Move the salsa bar to a more open space with access to 2 sides. The rice is gummy. Chicken is dry, flavorless, and overcooked. Steak and cheese taco was good. If Chipotle opened next door, Lime would surely go out of business.

1st and last lunch @ Lime. burrito full of flavorless rice barely enough chicken to notice, the chicken I was able to find and taste had no flavor, would of had a better experience at Taco Bell. Definitely not on the same playing field as chipotle.

Great fresh food for a decent price. Cool hot sauce/salsa bar to put on anything your want. wash it down with a Dos Equis and you got yourself a meal.

Let me first start off by saying that I have always loved this place. I went to a nearby college and came here probably once a week for delicious taco and margarita specials and sprung for the amazing quesadillas once in awhile. I have also always liked their chips and salsa, though those aren't really that great. The reason that I am giving it a 2 and even writing this review is because of the experience that I had tonight. My friend and I went around 6pm so it was prime dinner hour. It wasn't packed, as in there were still tables available, but it was reasonably crowded. I opened the door to walk in and was immediately greeted with smoke. It seemed to be as if something had been badly burned, but the whole place was visibly and noticeably filled with smoke. When going up to order, no one said anything such as sorry about this or anything. I thought I would get used to it or that it would clear out, but I noticed that no one in the restaurant had thought to prop open a door or anything. I don't know how they expected the smoke to leave the restaurant if there was no one where for it to go. Our food game out very quick, as usual, and the staff is great and friendly, but the smoke filled atmosphere made it difficult to sit there and eat. My friend and I were going to order drinks or at least stay and have some more chips, but decided to go somewhere else so that we could both breathe better and relax in a clean environment. Like I said, I would give the staff at least a 4 and the food a 4.5, but because of my awful experience tonight, I had to give a review that focused on the atmosphere. Hopefully, someone from Lime will read this and know to open a door next time because it really is affecting their customers.

I've ate at Lime twice now. Both times food was delicious, and staff was very helpful. We walked in and said we have never ate there and the lady at the register was really nice and explained everything to us. The price is great and you get a good sized quantity of food for the price. I would and have already recommended this place to my friends and family! Their lunch specials look awesome, hoping to make it to one.

The food was ready quickly and seems fresh. The only issue was that everyone in our group felt that all our meals were extremely salty.

I have had Lime twice once in Clifton and this one. I have to say this one trumps the Clifton location by far. The service is a lot better and there is actually salsa in the salsa bar. On both occasions I visited during Friday happy hour, the two dollar tacos are a pretty good deal. On top of that the five dollar margaritas are made really strong. I had the chicken and beef tacos on both occasions, the chicken tacos were a bit bland to me but with the vast variety of salsa and hot sauces to choose from I did not fret too much. The beef carnitas tacos was on the other hand delicious on its own. I topped both tacos with corn salsa and mild pico de gallo. My friend had the same but instead of the soft tacos she had hard. Speaking of tacos they have flour and corn tortillas. Thank god because I am not a fan of corn tortillas.

Lime is a fun new place to have your quick Mexican fill of tacos or burritos. The best part? The meals come with chips! I had the most popular burrito that has queso within, and it was super delicious. You can't go wrong w/ queso. I'd definitely go back and have that again! Service was great. A bit overwhelming at first to have to order right when you walk in, so you have to awkwardly stand in front of the register staring at the menu before you can go sit down. Downside, the salsa bar. All the salsas were pretty terrible. Seriously. Not one was very good. I'm amazed that a Mexican restaurant can't get that figured out.

This place is right down the middle for me. Pros: - an awesome patio area so you can sit outside in the nice weather - a free salsa bar with some pretty decent salsas - plethora of hot sauces - fish taco option - great happy hour deals ($2 tacos and beers) Con: - the food is just not that good; pretty flavorless honestly (maybe why they provide so many hot sauces) I'd go back for happy hour but that's probably it. There are lots of other Mexican joints to explore.

A few months back we saw the Lime coupon in one of the many mailers we get at home and thought, "Another 'fresh-Mex' chain!!! iAhora vamos!!" OK, not exactly. But Lime sounded sorta interesting. Lime is not like mundane or boring Chipotle or Qdoba. It tries to up the ante on the atmospherics: When you walk in, you get the evocative impression that you're about to have a casual meal at a fabulous shopping center in an anonymous Los Angeles or Miami suburb! You can even pretend that across the asphalt parking lot, a gridlocked freeway leads to an ocean beach 15 or 20 miles away! And the dishes have rad names, like "I Wanna Tijuana Taco" and "Nudie Burrito"! And the cashiers wear less clothes than their counterparts at Chipotle and Qdoba! And there is a free salsa bar! And although you have to order at the counter, the staff brings your food to you! Because of these amenities, Lime is a little more expensive than its competitors. Whether or not the above description sounds appealing, Lime's food, unfortunately, is quite blah. On the our visit, the exception was the "surfer" (i.e. SoCal-style fish) tacos, which were actually pretty tasty: crispy batter and tasty fish, and tangy cilantro salsa blanca was a very good complement. Chicken and beef tacos, though, were so bland that I can't even remember what they were like except for overcooked, flavorless meat. On the second visit, the "surfer" tacos weren't as good; even if the fish was still nicely cooked, the batter lacked the crispness, the tortillas and pico de gallo were bland, and the cilantro salsa had lost some kick. The flour tortillas seemed below room temperature. The overarching and textural and flavor profile was fried fish and raw cabbage, which really isn't very interesting. The wife's nachos looked pretty limpid, and she said they were. Although Lime offers a half-dozen very different salsas to choose from at the free salsa bar, I agree with Sally Y. that, amazingly enough, every last one of them is lackluster. The habanero one was mouth-scorching the first time, but the heat was barely detectable the second time. On the first visit, the mallrat contemporary pop music was so execrable as to almost cause physical pain. On the second visit, it was only a tiny notch better: The system was apparently tuned to XM's "Most Egregious Pop Hits of the Nineties" station, with a full serving of New Jack Swing and Wilson Phillips. Jeebus. After we got home after the first time, I went on the Lime website and told my wife that Lime started in South Beach. Her response: "Oooh, gross." Not awful, but subpar: 2.25 stars. P.S. Don't do this if you don't want to get annoyed, but check the website and read the section "About Us" for some of the most inane, desperate-to-be-"cool" corporate copy you'll see. Sample: "So, yeah. If you want delicious, freshly-prepared Mexican food with a precocious, often-offends attitude ... then welcome. We like you already." I don't even know what the hell a "precocious, often-offends attitude" is, but I do know that this is the prose version of Lime's excruciating music. P.P.S. Lime has "lines out the door," as at least one prior review notes. But this is not what you think: Lime's cash-register line starts about FOUR FEET feet from the damn "door" to the outside, which should be really interesting in Ohio in January. (Evidently, the South Florida originators of Lime forgot about the concept of "winter" when they started opening stores up north.)

The staff is nice, my burrito reminded me of the amazing burritos I used to get in San Diego...awesome. The chips were just ok, otherwise this would've been a 5 star review. I had the queso burrito which had some jalapeños in it. I still added some salsa. They have a great fresh salsa bar and some ridiculous amount of hot sauces. Worth a visit for sure.

I've been to this location on several occasions. The cashiers are without fail always fast, friendly and patient. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed with high top wooden tables with the best tunes from the 90's playing. Nothing is quite like enjoying a steak and cheese taco and bopping your head to *NSYNC's "Girlfriend." That said, I would suggest the steak and cheese tacos. They're delicious. Medium cooked steak with onion - squeeze some lime and sprinkle some of the cilantro available at their salsa bar and you've got a solid taco. What keeps this from being a four-star review are a couple things. The chips provided with every meal, at least from my experiences, have been quite stale. It's a little deflating when you scoop up some pico de gaio and the chip simply doesn't crunch. :( Lastly, Lime can be a little pricey. I'd advise to skip the salads and take advantage of $2 tacos and beers at their Happy Hours on Wed, Thurs and Friday! Also, their $1 taco deals on Tuesdays are a "Can't Miss!"

There is good and there is not so good. I love the inviting, hip, indoor/outdoor feel and the general energy of the place. Decor is a big part of this. It's off-putting as a newcomer to have to stand just inside the door, trying to make sense of the huge menu, while irritated people are pushing past you to order. I like that they offer beer, but their frozen "margaritas" are an abomination. As is the sangria "Slurpee." Not to mention they are WAY overpriced for something out of a gas station dispenser. The overall pricing was extreme for what you get IMO. Still, you get chips with your meal and they have a salsa bar. However, you have to wait in line amidst the hustle and bustle of the cramped space for your turn to use the baby spoon sized ladles to extract salsa into equally tiny and wasteful plastic cups. Each one holds about 3 chip dips worth. Almost all the salsas were either bland or just didn't taste good. The pineapple would be better if cut smaller and more tomatoes were added. The black bean one was decent. The habanero was not particularly flavorful but definitely spicy! The soft corn tortillas should be lightly heated so that they don't crumble and melt away in the watery taco mess. The "double decker" tacos had promise, but very little inside ingredients. The guacamole was good, expensive and large. They need a half portion, even for sharing. The chips were thoroughly unimpressive. They should have been crispier with a touch of lime and salt, but not the oily limpness they had. Overall a fun experience, food was fairly good, definitely overpriced. Better than Chipotle? Probably.

For dinner this past Friday my family and I headed to the newly opened Lime Fresh Mexican Grill in the still expanding Rookwood Exchange project. Lime is a new chain of restaurants that started in Florida and now has nearly 20 restaurants in 6 states. It is hard not to immediately start comparing Lime with Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. As with the other restaurants in this category, orders are placed at the counter immediately upon entry. However at Lime you do not walk down a line while your food is assembled. Instead your full order is placed, you are handed a table number, and your food is brought to you within a few minutes. After placing our order, I immediately stopped at their extensive salsa bar. Chips are provided on the side with all orders and the self-serve salsa bar provides an array of dips. I tried nearly all of them and found the majority of them to be underwhelming. They all lacked any heat, with the exception of the super spicy Habanero. I found myself gravitating back to the pico de gallo the most. The pineapple was my wife's favorite. If I had to pick one from the others I think the Verde was the best. I ordered the 8th Street Burrito, a flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, homemade organic black beans, rice, crispy bacon, sour cream, pico de gallo salsa and tortilla strips ($7.99). I did not know that the burrito was going to be grilled after assembly, but that was a pleasant surprise. I am not sure if all burritos are served that way. The first few bites of the burrito left with me nothing more than bland rice. Once I finally made it to the meat of the sandwich, I enjoyed the mix of flavors. A large selection of hot sauce was also available at the counter, which I used to add some spice. My wife tried both varieties of fish taco. The first was a soft flour shell stuffed with fresh grilled fish, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo salsa and topped with a special sauce ($3.50). The second, surfer taco, was a soft flour shell stuffed with baja-style fresh fish, finely shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and cool cilantro sauce ($3.50). She enjoyed the surfer taco more than the original fish. I had small bites of these and would have to agree with her. The cilantro sauce on the surfer was great and added a lot to the taco. Either style of taco could be made a meal of 3 tacos for $8.49. Our two-year-old son had a chicken taco with only cheese on it ($2.00 during happy hour, $3 otherwise). Also available is kid taco with just meat and cheese for $2.50 any other time. We also shared a trifecta appetizer of homemade pico de gallo salsa, fresh guacamole and creamy queso dip ($5.49). It seems dumb to me to include the pico when it is available to everyone at the salsa bar, but we did not realize that at the time of our order. The queso dip was my favorite of the three and I think I would just order a larger serving of that on another visit. The guacamole was alright, but not as good as Chipotle's. They offer four different kinds of guacamole, so maybe another variety would be better than the classic. We ate our dinner on their spacious and shaded patio. This space is nearly as large as the entire indoor portion of the restaurant. There was a cornhole game setup on the side, which provided my son with some entertainment while my wife and I finished our meals. The patio was awesome and I hope to visit again soon. Overall the food at Lime Fresh Mexican Grill was hit and miss. I don't think the burrito was as good or as big as Chipotle's, despite the higher price. The fish tacos were good and a very nice addition to the menu. I saw some of the other customers eating salads, which actually looked really good, so I might try one of those on a future visit. I'm sure we will be back, their Friday happy hour with $2 Mexican beers, $3 frozen margaritas, and $2 tacos is reason enough.

Outdoor seating area is beautiful! When you walk in, you order right away, so I suggest checking out the menu ahead of time. Menu is pretty basic (burrito, salad, or quesadilla with either chicken or beef and then the usual fixins). Beer is a little pricey, but they gave us coozies and let us keep them! Honestly, the food was mediocre. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Everything was bland, and at the end of the day my wife and I both thought "Chipotle is more flavorful, slightly cheaper, and closer to home; why would we come back here?"

So I was super excited to try a New Mexican restaurant in Cincy because... Let's be honest... There really isn't much here. I went in within expectations and came out relatively satisfied. Is it five star authentic Mexican? No. Is it pretty darn good fast food Mexican? Yes. So I had what I always have at a Mexican restaurant... A steak burrito. The steak strips were a bit long for my taste (which makes it hard to not take out a huge strip leaving a big void in my burrito) but it was cooked well and was pretty delicious. My chips were a bit stale but I liked them all the same. As for the hot sauce selection... Fantastic. I love and know my hot sauces pretty well, but if you don't this could be a bit daunting. There was no clear way to tell how hot they were. If you've never had Dave's Insanity sauce... It's not for the weak of heart. But if you're like me and love that amazing burn it brings... Jackpot. All in all... I'll be back with a stomach waiting to be happily sated.

Pretty decent food just wish the salad didn't come in a giant feminine looking green bowl. It is embarrassing!

My salad was okay, but it would be nice to have some better green, not just the stuff that goes in burritos.

Good food fun atmosphere and duper friendly cashier. The salsa bar is good and has a nice variety. I had the mahi 3 taco platter. Tasty all the way around. Looking forward to stopping back in.

Hola Amigos! Chipotle comparison: Ambiance = much better Food = more choices, but not as flavorful Beer selection = way more options One of the best things that happened was upon arrival, the lady at the cash register asked if it was our first time. She then proceeded to take plenty of time to explain the menu, talk about their most popular options, and help us to agree on our order. Tiffany had the Big Cali burrito bowl. She says, "it was filling, but lacking on the kick. I wanted a fiesta for my mouth and this party shut down early." Jim had the queso burrito bowl. He says, "they make their own queso sauce and sour cream - huge plus. I really liked both sauces, but felt the portion was a bit on the small side for the price. As a huge queso fan, I would go back for this on a quesadilla." If you do go, there is a free salsa bar for the chips that are provided. Lots of choices here and a great compliment to your meal. All in all, if you are looking for middle of the road, order at the register mexican, this place isn't bad. We have also heard that they have WONDERFUL happy hour specials.

I had the Lime Burrito and it was a fresh combination of ingredients. The salsa selection was comprehensive. Bonus outdoor patio made the linch even more enjoyable. Summed up: quality good, burrito's unique and left satisfied.

I don't feel like I can even give this place a one star because of what happened but in order to give a review I have to give at least one... The place looks nice and has a great hip vibe with big bar of salsas but the food itself doesn't taste all that great AND my husband found a STAPLE in his burrito. Yes, A STAPLE!!!! It was a open half chewed STAPLE. Don't be fooled by the hip clean vibe of this place. This is a serious issue that is representative of major restaurant-kitchen management problems. Ironically the restaurant had a big sign in the front window of their store saying "healthy never tasted so good"... here's a message to this restaurant manager: no matter how healthy your food may be it totally negates the strength of your food if you put a STAPLE IN IT. Even if this restaurant were to sort out these basic issues, I wouldn't go back because their food wasn't that good to begin with.

The meat is unseasoned and cold the food is flavorless. That must be why they have a huge hot sauce display. The salsa station is a mess and the salsa is at room temperature. The only "good" part was their chips but even those we're lackluster. I will not be coming back.

Lime looked promising but ended up being really overpriced for the quality of food we were served. I got the Abuela's guacamole (almost $6) and it was not as good as what I buy for $2.50 at the grocery store. My dad got a burrito that hardly had any beef inside. Another annoying thing for me- the bathrooms only have hand dryers, no paper towel. The bathroom doors can't be pushed open either- you have to open with your hands. It would be nice to have paper towels available to do that so you don't get your hands dirty again before you eat your overpriced chips and guacamole.

My friend and I stopped here for the first time yesterday, and we were both very pleased with everything. This place is not Chipotle, and that is a good thing. I am a Chipotle fan, but this place is in another category in my eyes. The menu features several options, several of which sounded really tasty! Chips are free with your meal which is obviously a bonus. Another bonus would be the huge salsa/sauce bar, there are several options ranging from mild to HOT. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, for virtually the same price as Chipotle you can get something tastier and different! PS - they throw away your trash for you, another positive thing!

I really like the salsa bar here and if you need cheap, above average mexican- I'd say this is the place to go. It is extremely laid back but good for those on a budget.

My wife and I tried Lime Fresh Mexican Grill hoping it would be comparable to Rubios, a chain of restaurants famous for its fish tacos on the west coast. In terms of restaurant size and style, Lime is a close match. The interior feels hip and there's a large outdoor seating area. Our food was pretty good, but the main letdown was the Lime fish taco, which my wife ordered. The fish was simply three soda-cap sized skewer chunks tossed into the taco. For the price, we were thinking the fish would have more of a leading role. My wife also got a tortilla soup, and we both loved that. I'd come back and order that again in a heartbeat. On my side of the table, I quite enjoyed my Steak N Cheese Tacos. The homemade queso on the taco had a smokey twist that I really liked. My tacos came with green peppers and onions when I had requested them be left off. I assume an error like this occurs due to Lime's relative newness. It wasn't a big deal to me, so I didn't bring it up with anyone. However, if you have any food allergies and request something be left off, it might be best to double check when your food arrives while Lime is still on its training wheels. We had fun trying lots of the different salsas that are available. The house red was probably our favorite. The prices are a little higher than we wanted to see, but Lime does have a smattering of special timed offers to help with that. For example, on Taco Tuesday you can order any two tacos + chips + drink for $4.99.

Lime I think can best be described as "Mexican food's version of Noodles and Co." The menu has tremendous variety and the wait time is quite short. I have had fish tacos, a chicken queso burrito, and the fajitas. All have been good with the fajitas being my favorite. Lime also has several kinds of guacamole (which I want to try) and very good frozen Margaritas. They also have frozen sangria but I have not had it. The salsa bar was the main reason I tried Lime. There are about a dozen different kinds but most taste rather bland to me. You can still find a couple that are good, including the house salsa.

I have been here so many times since they open and every time I went here there is always a line outside the door. The concept is great and I like the out door patio area. They do have a great staff that work there I always get the grill fish tacos and a Margarita

Been to Lime many times. Always good. The guac is good as well as I recommend the fish tacos. I did once receive an underdone fish taco, which they quickly corrected and apologized profusely for. Great service and an odd selection of 90's music if you're dining in.

Great food for big and little kids and it won't break the bank. I only wish their margaritas were fresh.

Edible, but unexciting. The salsa is decent, the food is eh - forgettable

Lime is in the same vein as Moe's, Chipotle, etc. Service was fast and efficient and the food was solid - about what you would expect, not terrible and not fantastic, although I did think the salsa was quite tasty. I was there on a Sunday evening and they were having trouble with their speaker system, but we were able to take refuge outside where they have some outdoor heaters set up. One thing I was surprised at was the restroom. Who, in 2013, doesn't put a urinal in the men's room? Do you want a messy floor? It is a universal constant that guys have bad aim, so why tempt fate?

Lime is very quickly beginning to be my favorite dinner hot spot for those nights when I just don't have the time or energy to cook something up myself. Their burritos aren't quite as large as Chipotle - which in my opinion is a wonderful thing- and they are filled with grilled chicken that actually tastes like chicken!! The ingredients they use are so fresh and tasty, it makes you want to come back every night. We just found out that they have Burrito Mondays where you can get any burrito ($7.99) with a drink for $5.29 (ish - I can't remember the exact amount). Talk about a deal! My favorites are the Lime Burrito and the Queso Burrito -mmmm Queso - they are quite delicious. If you're eating in, they have the salsa bar which is stocked full of seasonal, hot, medium and mild salsas, along with a plethora of hot sauces from what looked like all over the country. They definitely have something for everyone here! I have not had it - but I have heard amazing things about their frozen sangria - I can't wait to go back and try that next week!

Overpriced. Least authentic Mexican I've ever had. Doesn't even come close to Chipotle. Or even Moe's.
