I finally tried Kitchen Factory. It's a little store front, nothing to write home as far as ambiance is concerned, but its the food that matters, right?. The first thing I noticed on the menu was the Braggs Aminos used in the salad dressing. Only those who care about what they serve would use a more expensive type of soy sauce. Anyway, I tried the pizza. The crust was homemade, New York style, and very good! I ordered the pepperoni with salami and chorizo. It was 18 in, enough for the family and delicious! I ordered another large pizza, this one was chicken saag. Sometimes when cooks try to go outside the box, they overdo one or more of the ingredients, attempting to emphasize the flavor of the unique dish. The chefs at kitchen factory do a really good job of creating this Indian version of pizza. It was very good! It was well balnced with a touch of heat fron the Shiracha sauce. The chefs were really nice and even offered water while I waited. The price was acceptable. A little gem in Northside, it's really good pizza and stays on on Friday and Saturday until 3 AM!

Northside has come a very long way since I went to UC (back when Clinton was in office). Over the years visiting my old friends from college, we've expanded our palettes to include a variety of restaurants that work for all of us - vegetarians, vegans, and meat-eaters. Melt, in Northside is a perennial favorite. So, when I learned that there was another veggie/vegan restaurant in the neighborhood that had ties to Melt (a former employee), we decided to give it a try before an evening event. My college pal is a vegan who tends to eat a low gluten diet. I'm a vegetarian who loves carbs. We both found items that appealed to us on this Italian menu. She had the Tempeh Cowboy and I went for the vegetarian meatball sandwich. We shared a side of the Crack and cheese. Her Cowboy was a cutlet of tempeh with spicy BBQ sauce dressed on a toasted bread (may have been sprouted). She was pleased that the bread was whole grain and fairly thin (similar to Ezekiel brand). My ginormous, vegetarian meatball sandwich consisted of large, homemade balls chocked with fennel and spices. The marina was spicy and delicious. The "meatballs" were covered with cheese and nestled in a yummy roll. I couldn't believe all the food on my plate for $7.50! The crack and cheese is vegan and gluten free. It's made with rice penne. After much discussion between us, we decided that the "cheese" sauce must contain nutritional yeast (but that wasn't listed on the menu). The recipe is a house secret. I'm excited to try out there pizza and salads, especially the vegan Caesar, next time I'm in town. These folks work very hard to make delicious, nutritional food with a conscience that is also convenient and economical. Way to go!

The veggie Meatball sub at Kitchen Factory is getting 5 stars from me!! I'm not a vegetarian, but I do love veggies. I love how this place has so many vegetarian and vegan choices, while still serving a few meat items. It feels very inclusive, so everyone can get something they like. Like I said, the meatball sub I ordered for lunch was fantastic. The portion size was huge, the bread was great quality, and the meatballs were the perfect flavor and texture. I could not tell there was no meat!! I was very satisfied and happy at the end of my meal. The ambiance in here is nice and quiet, since it's away from the main road. There are some unique decorations/art that really give the restaurant personality. One of the owners was working in the kitchen by herself when I visited and she was really sweet and friendly. Heard good things about their late night pizza as well. I'll be back!

I've never had a bad pizza here. The crust is amazing, the toppings are fresh and the customer service is A+. When a small establishment can accommodate 15+ people at the last minute and bend over backwards to make sure everyone is happy, well, that says a lot. Pizza pies are the best in 45224. Love ya'll.?

A Northside staple and by far one of my favorite pies far and wide. The thin crust and premium toppings make for an unforgettable experience. The spinach, ham and fresh tomato is one of my favorite combinations. The fact that they offer daiya mozzarella for those lactose intolerant folks is awesome as well , as my wife is and she loves this option. If you are around and you have a hankering for pizza this place will not disappoint. Thanks KF! Keep on doing your thing!

What a find! The pizza is outstanding and a great value for the size and quality of these pies. The Le Sigh Pie and Margherita were SOO good.Their homemade brownies are perfection in chocolate--when they ask if you want them heated say yes (they heat them in the oven not just microwave them). Melissa and Heather are both so talented as chefs but they are just such cool people they are the quintessential Northside--unique, fun, rewarding and worth the effort to get to know. The story behind what this business also does as an incubator for other aspiring chefs is worth understanding--and makes a great place even more appealing. Check this place out...you can even go to their late night window for a slice of pizza!

Eclectic Furniture, check, Friendly crowd. Check. Delicious food? well, it was on Wednesday, it seems like there's a bit of a rotating chef crowd during the week, and pizza on the weekends (paneer pizza? OK! we'll be back on a thursday...) It's in an unassuming store front around the corner from the main drag, but that's ok, because the food is AWESOME... it's whatever comes out of the mind out of those crazy fools at pop up taqueria and the rest of the kitchen factory. (are there oompa loompas?) locally sourced, down to the sauerkraut and bread bowls we had. Do yourself a favor and check it out on a wednesday, Jose is a food ACE!

Kitchen Factory is one of the most unique 'restaurants' I've ever eaten. I've never seen anything like it... the chefs are regularly changing. The food is different each time. And there are no waiters/waitresses or busboys. We went on a Wednesday night when Jose of Pop-Up Taqueria is the chef extraordinaire. The food is all fresh and as local as possible. This past Wednesday the dinner was local beef chili in a fresh bread bowl. In addition to one of the most delicious meals I've had there was some great music courtesy of Twig and Leaf. As far as drinks, no alcohol is served here, but you can BYOB. Otherwise, they have bottled water and various soft drinks, including Mexican coke. On the weekends, the Kitchen Factory is home to gourmet pizzas. I've never tried them but the menu sounds delicious! I definitely plan to sample all the deliciousness Kitchen Factory has to offer!

Haven't been to the main establishment yet but if the Pizza by the Slice is anything to go by, reserve that weekly spot for me!!! Friendly service, the tastiest thin crust slice of spinach and feta and an awesome cheese pizza!! All you late night Northside Tavern party people, hit this spot for your midnight (or later) snack, cos they are open till 3 am!!!!

We have been looking for not just NY style pizza but also late night pizza and this is the place. I only found it once because I was driving by but I got a cheese slice and it was amazing. I have always been wondering why Cincinnati doesn't have late night NY style pizza but now I can finally say it has one! This is our new go to place!

Vegan pizza by the slice (or whole pizzas)! In the past the quality of the crust was a bit erratic but more recently it has had consistently good taste/texture. Slices always have plenty of melty vegan cheese. Slightly spicy sauce (sometimes they have a vegan smokey cheddar sauce that's great, too.) And they're open late! They used to have a vegan lasagna pizza (noodles, faux sausage and faux ricotta on a deep dish crust) by the slice option that was freaking amazing- I can't tell you how satisfying it was to get my noodle and pizza fix in one package :') Then they started making it with fewer noodles and thin rather than deep dish crust and it just wasn't the same. Not sure if they still offer it but if they bring it back in it's original glory and allow whole pizza orders later (sometimes they don't allow carry out pizza orders after 11pm) then I'd say they will have easily earned a fifth star. Overall, best vegan pizza in Cincinnati.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
