I was out in the area for a training and figured I give the place a try. The location was lovely. There were giant windows around this corner building. It provided a ton a natural light as well as showcased the cleanliness of the restaurant. I went with the chicken and Brie quesadilla with the cranberry chutney. It was very good and priced reasonably ($10). The services was polite and very attentive although admittedly it was slow while I visited. Bottom line, I hope I'm in the area again so o can go back.

Pros: special banana walnut pancakes were real, i.e., homemade batter. French toast w/ mango butter---yum! Friendly wait staff!! CLEAN/nice ambient atmosphere. Quiet!! No music, so one could converse easily. Just very pleasant! Coffee could have been stronger tasting; was a little weak. Scrambled eggs were a bit dry. Bottom line: yes, we will return!!!

Half day café is a consistent local gem. Great food, best breakfast and impeccably clean restaurant. Highlights of this restaurant include: fresh baked muffins, sausage patties, all the made-from-scratch pancake varieties (mango butter rum, sweet potato pancake pie are the standouts) make this a far cry above even the better breakfast chains. Mouth watering yet? Love the service that includes carry out when I'm on the run. Only warning is they require your entire party be present for seating because of the smaller size of the café. Enjoy!

Was driving up and down the little town of Wyoming and just praying there was somewhere to get a breakfast sandwich or bagel in a hurry and stumbled upon Half Day Cafe's "Half Day Takeaway." What a brilliant idea! Especially in a tiny town with not much to offer in a hurry. The menu has a full range of coffees, latte & espresso drinks. I opted for a regular coffee and a breakfast wrap. I chose the bacon, egg, and cheese for $3.99. It came out pipping hot and home made! It was "egg-actly" what I needed this morning. I also saw runners and even kids popping in for smoothies etc here. What a great alternative in case you can't sit down and enjoy the restaurant. Also heads up the owners -- the man working this morning (I didn't catch his name, he said he had been working there for 5 years or so) was delightfully cheery and enthusiastic about his job and what you guys are doing there. Those kind of people are rare, and he deserves a high five and a shout out at a meeting or something for being friendly without even being prompted. Very impressed and will definitely be back!

The fact that I've now been to Half Day Cafe twice and dug into my food before taking a picture both times is a testament to how good this place is. The biscuits and gravy is quite possibly the best breakfast dish I've ever had but is more food than any one person should eat for breakfast. This little place fills up quickly so the earlier you get there the better. And beware, they're closed on Sundays!

Breakfast time is my absolute favorite and this place has nailed it. They have regulars and welcome new people as if they've always been around. Personally, the snickers latte is like dessert for breakfast and the breakfast burrito is delicious!

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious from their coffee drinks to quiche. I love how they do a seasonal menu and use locally sourced ingredients! Cute location, great service.

Hands down fresh delicious food, great atmosphere and great service. When you go, get their specials. I really enjoyed the mango butter pancake combo. It was such a great deal for the price. I even took some leftovers home.

Bacon is good, potatoes are dry, crusty a little burnt, Coffee good, Latte weak. Especially noisy. It is difficult to hold a conversation. Wait staff rude!!!!

Delicious breakfast! Tiny place that stays packed and today I figured out why. Had a party of 4 and only waited for 15 minutes so they move fairly quick. I tried the sweet potato pancake pie and it was just glorious. Perfect flavor and I couldn't stop eating it. Found it interesting that they served the pancakes with syrup already on them but it was just enough. If you're looking for brunch this is the place to go.

Half Day Cafe was a 2-for-1 discovery because my visit there was also my first time in the charming town of Wyoming (described as "Mayberry-like" by my dining companion). It does feel a bit like walking into a television set of a charming cafe in a fictional small town--sunny yellow walls and small bunches of fresh flowers on every table. Service was very gracious and it was clear that many customers were regulars. Everything on the menu looked good so the waitress steered me toward the "one of everything" Egg combination dishes so I had scrambled eggs, turkey sausage links, home fries and an incredible sweet potato pancake--an unbelievable amount of delicious food for the price! I would order everything that I had again, and the sweet potato pancakes twice on Sunday (the waitress told me everyone that works there "is kind of addicted to them" in a confidential tone, when I ordered). I also got a huge, well-made cappuccino to top it all off. I loved this unpretentious neighborhood cafe with quality, fresh ingredients and friendly service and can't wait to come back!

The cutest little cafe' known for their fresh and local ingredients! Every customer appears to be a regular. I've been here twice and service is always great. My most recent visit was strictly for coffee, it was great. The menu is mostly a la carte with a few combo options. Parking in the back of the building.

Great little breakfast place and a good variety of offerings including great mango rum pancakes. Space is a little limited so there may be a little bit of a wait.

Breakfast is always served at the Half Day Cafe, where I know I can reliably get a soy latte, avocado wrap and a side of bacon. Being allergic to eggs, I normally skip breakfast places, but the menu at Half Day is varied enough that I don't feel like I'm having to 'make do'. And the latte was good. Parking is a little bit thin, but they do have a small lot aronud back. It's near lots of the other shops and the library there in Wyoming, so if they weather is nice, you're probably well served to park a ways away and walk.

I am not a pancake lover but it was looking yummy so I orderd it. It was delicious Rosemary potato was also good!

  • Ashina S.

Love this cute little place. The food is fresh (they use local fresh ingredients) and its tasty. Got the sweet potato pancake and it was divine, like a dessert really. The apple wood bacon is my favorite bacon in the whole city. The mango butter rum syrup is sweet but delicious. Can't go wrong with the rosemary potatoes and the local coffee they brew is delicious. Service is also excellent, sweet wait staff, and owner is very personable :-)!

Amazing service; the owner himself came to greet us at our table--very cheerful. There was a short wait, but worth it. Wonderful experience.

Half Day Cafe is very cute, it's a small restaurant with limited, but comfortable seating. They have a larger menu than I anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I had lunch here. I ordered the Avocado Club Wrap, but on wheat bread instead of a wrap. They were happy to accomodate that request. The service was friendly and attentive. What I didn't love about the lunch options is that the sanwiches are served with tortilla chips with nothing to dip them in. Maybe there's a group of people that I'm not aware of who eat plain tortilla chips, but I'm not one of them. All in all, I would love to visit again to try the soup combos and their breakfast.

I adore this neighborhood cafe. The strawberry stuffed French toast was plenty and very tasty. My companions had the sweet potato pancakes and the other had sausage gravy and biscuits. We all enjoyed our meal.

So let me start out by saying I am one of those weirdos who has an issue of food with a texture....I can not eat wet bread...it grosses me out. That being said, I could eat the Mango Butter Rum French Toast from this place for every day of my natural life and be in heaven! Just go and order it and be amazed. I have never been impressed with french toast and this stuff blew my socks off! My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict and was impressed with it. Half Day Cafe serves it on a croissant instead of the traditional english muffin and it was a great upgrade! The coffee was also impressive. They have a list of specialty drinks and I was a little leery of ordering one for fear that they would be way too sweet but it was really well made! We will definitely be going back!

This is the neatest small restaurant! I had the tomato basil soup with the fig, gouda and bacon grilled cheese. I can't rave enough about that combo. They had some tortilla chips and vegies and dip as an accompaniment It was fantastic. My friend had the soup and pulled pork sandwich. She was really pleased with it. Another friend had the build your own breakfast. The dessert was the Orange Dreamsicle -- a hit! The coffee was great! We loved it. The only reason that it got four stars was the fact that parking is at a real premium and I have mobility problems. I had to park quite a bit away. Next time, I'll get a taxi. We are making plans for our next visit.

Half Day Café is a solid brunch spot. My girlfriend and I decided to give it a shot after stopping by Sugar and Spice and refusing to wait in the line that stretched into the parking lot. The menu has a nice variety of items ranging from traditional egg and breakfast meat combos to pancakes to French toast to breakfast burritos and skillets. The coffee was surprisingly good and the service was sufficient. Our server was a little tardy on coffee refills and forgot my English muffin but she was so damn nice it was impossible to stay mad. The price is very competitive and I enjoyed the slower pace of life in good ole' Wyoming, Ohio.

My fiance and I ate there this morning and it is a wonderful mom and pop restaurant. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very homey. He ordered the French toast which was amazing. They get their bread from a local bakery and it was super thick sliced. He also had a side of sage sausage patties which were perfectly spiced. I had the frittata with an English muffin and it was delightfully seasoned. We will definitely become regulars here!

Went here for my second visit this morning, even though it's -4 out and snow is still left everywhere.... yes it's that good. My favorite breakfast dish is the stuffed orange French toast; sooo good. They are stuffed with what I think is cream cheese and then drizzled all over with an orange sauce. I add their real bottled maple syrup to mine, and total yumminess! The coffee is ever-flowing - and for "restaurant" coffee it's pretty good! - even with the crowd they get here, service is great, attentive but certainly not annoying. And the best part is, I meet friends here who've never been, and they really love it too! (So it's not just me!) As stated, service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and typical of a busy morning cafe - lots of window booths to sit at as well. Prices are what I believe to be fair, but I'm from L.I., where we paid mor for a breakfast like this..... I highly recommend Half Day, and in my opinion, it blows the socks off First Watch.....

Half Day Cafe is the sweetest little place. My mom and I were driving and we stopped at the red light and she said, " I'd love to eat there one day." Me being the wonderful daughter that I am said, " I'm hungry let's go now. " They were closing in 15 minutes but we were seated with a smile as if they'd just opened. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the buttermilk pancakes. Huge delicious servings came to our table in no time. Our waitress was great and the atmosphere was very quaint. My mother and I hadn't spent time together in awhile but after our cozy meal at Half Day Cafe, we ended up hanging all day long.

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it..." This is the inscription above the bar top at the Half Day Cafe. I have to say that is one of the more interesting bible verses I've read in a while (it comes from Hebrews 13:2 if you're wondering). Now there's something I can get behind. I could also get behind this bar top again and nosh another Fig, Gouda, and Bacon sandwich -a new seasonal item available at the Cafe. This was a delicious sweet and savory combination of bacon and fig, with the nice textural addition of Gouda - the seitan of cheeses in that it takes on the flavor of the items around it. This sandwich was basically a grilled cheese with added deliciousness and is certainly worth a second trip by itself. If you've never been, you should make a stop to Half Day. Sometimes it's hard to make the trip because they close daily at 2:00 (hence the name). Situated in the heart of Wyoming, Half Day occupies a unique brick and mortar at the corner of the Pike and Wyoming. The door sits smack on the corner of the building which is fenestrated with some massive windows allowing for sunlight to pour into the dining space like a greenhouse. Half Day is light and airy and the perfect place for a breakfast, lunch, or a hybrid of the two. The staff is friendly and attentive making this a comforting visit for all friends and strangers alike.

Fabulous place. We stopped in shortly before the scheduled close time of 2 pm and the crew was so accomodating. Really nice vibe and great service. The quiche was great.

I took my boyfriend to breakfast for his birthday. It was a rainy Wednesday and the place was still busy. I had my favorite, the egg strata and it was perfect. He had blueberry pancakes, light and fluffy with side of crispy applewood bacon. We both left very satisfied and ready to return another time. They have items on the menu that vary by season.

I'm in the minority here, but I wasn't impressed at all. The breakfast options looked better, and maybe I should have listened to my gut and stayed away from their lunch offerings. I had the carnitas - served over a corn tortilla w/ a bland shredded romaine salad covered with a boring yogurt dressing. My meal was barely edible. The grease was pouring off the carnitas all over the wannabe salad. The flavor was average at best. The end result was four hours of heartburn. My co-worker had the breakfast scramble. It looked okay... I guess. There's not a lot of competition in the area, which must be why this place is so popular.

We stopped in for lunch based on Yelp reviews for the area, so I feel obligated to weight the ranking a bit lower (read: realistic). The thing that stood out to me was how fresh and clean it felt. Although tables were close together, it has a nice airy feeling. Plus, for a local cafe, I was surprised to see an automatic sink and toilet in the bathroom. Pretty snazzy... But I have to say, nothing else really stood out to me. As expected, the menu had pretty normal offerings, portion sizes were on the large side and service was friendly. Nothing really bad, nothing really great. It was two dollar signs and I think you get what you pay for. In summary, a fair deal.

Really cute place on the corner of one of the main streets in Wyoming. Brunch is one of my favorite meals, so going there was enjoyable. I can recommend the French Toast highly and found the decor to be cheery and interesting.

Half Day Cafe is my restaurant of choice for breakfast, so I wasn't really surprised that lunch was wonderful as well. Bright and sunny describes not only the decor but the service as well. The grilled zuc & eggplant sandwiches was entirely yummy and I can't wait to go back for another!

No joke, these people understand the sweet and savory dance. During my short Cincinnati vacation, I've tried a whole lot. The service was very friendly, albeit a bit slow once the restaurant is full. -Egg Strata (5/5, touch of sweetness from the egg bread balances well with the savory sausage) -Chicken and brie quesadilla (5/5, AWESOME. the flavors of the brie and cranberries balance nicely) -Half Day benedict (3/5, good, but the tomato hollandaise wasn't as tasty as traditional hollandaise) -Bacon, onion, swiss quiche (4/5, good stuff, lots of bacon, otherwise exactly what it sounds like) -Mango butter rum french toast (4/5, not too sweet) -Mango butter rum pancake (3/5, wasn't the same syrup as on the french toast and had a funny texture to it) -Sweet potato pancake (will let you decide, don't think sweet potatoes are my thing, but my sister liked them!)

Really good food and friendly service. The pancakes with mango rum butter syrup were very tasty. My egg was perfectly cooked, and the bacon had a great flavor. The restaurant itself has cheerful decor and is very clean and tidy.

Half Day has an exceptional take out option. It is my favorite coffee in the city. The people are warm and friendly. Nice to run into a friend or two before heading out. If you stay the sweet potato pancakes are great. If you are a cyclist, they have a welcoming club that meets there regularly.

There are one or two options for vegetarians. Good food, nice, airy atmosphere. Casual, but quality service. Very homey, genuine and authentic feeling. They aren't big and they get busy, so plan accordingly. Food doesn't take too long to come out, but I'm glad they take the time to make it right. All that said, the food comes out with presentation with up-scale plating. It's a good combo of casual, but you can still bring a date and have it be a special experience.

This is the best breakfast place I've ever eaten at. First, the atmosphere is delightful. Bright, high ceilings and clean as a whistle. Second, the rosemary potatoes are a must have. I will go back every time I'm in the Cincinnati area, you shoud too.

We were out-of-towners looking for an exceptional breakfast place in the North Cincinnati area. Half-Day Cafe delivered! Menu was enticing, varied and unconventional. Service was courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious, generous but not excessive. Would definitely go again! Thanks, Yelp!

Great service! Delicious food! Really cute local dive. Really loved the mango butter rum pancakes. My husband enjoyed the western omelet. My son loved his bacon. I was not a huge fan of the broiled grapefruit. The sugar topping is too crisp. We will definitely be going back soon to try something else on the menu!!

  • Samantha T.

This place is WAY over rated! The service was great, but the food was ok. There was nothing great about it. I had the stuffed pumpkin French toast and I felt like it was very poor on taste. I feel that adding some cinnamon sugar, or flavored syrup would spice it up more. Everyone in this towns talks about it like its a gem, I honestly wouldn't dive far out your way for it if your a foodie like me.

Half Day Cafe is as legitimate a breakfast place as it gets that balances it's relaxed homey space with comfort food with a twist. Try pancakes with a mango syrup. Or a breakfast burrito with eggs, carnitas and lime creme fraiche. My first time here, me and my friends tried their strata, pancakes as well as their eggs benedict, and all 3 were great. Just really solid, well-prepared and well thought out plates with enough flavor and uniqueness to set this place apart for a run-of-the-mill diner. The second time around I had their breakfast burrito which was modest in size (a good thing) and the aforementioned lime creme fraiche was a nice upgrade over the usual sour cream at most places. If I was to have a gripe though, and I know I'm digging a bit, the salsa my burrito came with was clearly store bought. A fresh pico de gallo would've really elevated it to another level. And in a similar vein, if I was to add one more criticism, it would be that sometimes the plates looked a bit boring. Some fruits on the side would be nice. Or even some parsley. Hell, parsley fakes. Yeah, I sell that cheap. I'm not going to dock them real points for plating, because really who cares if the flavors are all there and on point, but it still is something I can't help but notice. A little green goes a long way. Of final note, the staff were very pleasant, attentive and the service and seating pretty quick. All in all, Half Day Cafe is a place I would frequent much more on the regular if it wasn't for my considerable drive but if you live nearby or could care less about a detour, then you can't really go wrong with Half Day Cafe.

Great breakfast in a clean, well-lit place. Delicious food, very good service, and a nice neighborhood. The sweet potato pancakes are great, as is the mango rum syrup. The location is easy to get to; there isn't much parking in the back, but there is a small public lot nearby and plenty of on-street parking. It's a smaller restaurant, so you won't be able to linger, but the food more than makes up for it. I think this will be our brunch spot of choice, and it's especially excellent for a Saturday morning outing when visitors are in town. Highly recommended.

5/5 for atmosphere - super cozy diner feel. :D 3/5 for the Brie and chicken cranberry quesadilla: did not have even distribution of cranberries which did not give the right taste. I asked for more, but by that time the cheese got cold and could not replicate the initial WOW! It came with a side of tortilla chips, but had no salsa. Ultimately, it ended up being too much fried stuff for my taste. All in all it was good enough to eat until I was full, but not good enough to order again. 5/5 for the butter chicken soup and 5/5 on the Mulligatawny Stew :D! Some people have raved about the Mango Rum French toast - but it simply did not cut it for me 3/5. I would have preferred berries and confectioner sugar.

Of course the notorious Alex S took me to Half Day Café upon my request to start our day with brunch. It turns out that half Day Café was voted best brunch recently by one of the local publications, and I'm not surprised at all! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere clean and welcoming, and the food fabulous! Oh, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious too. I debated for awhile between ordering an omelette, pancakes, or French toast (the old sweet or savory debate). Savory won this time and I had the perfect Greek Omelette made with egg whites. Alex had the egg strata, which looked delicious too, and I saw some customers nearby eating pancakes and French toast. I guess you can't go wrong at Half Day Café. If I lived in town, I'd be a regular here for sure. It was the perfect fuel for my adventures in Cincy!

This place is lovely! Our party of four showed up a little after 11:30 on a Monday, and I was impressed by how many people were in the restaurant. We were promptly seated and our waiter came over in seconds. We were taking a leisurely lunch, and he was respectful of our space, but remained aware. We were able to put our orders in right when we wanted to, and all dishes came out promptly. Two of us got breakfast and two of us lunch. The eggs were cooked just right, the strawberry stuffed french toast was a big hit, and I enjoyed my huge roasted vegetable salad so much that I boxed it to go, even though I was traveling. And the prices were fair to boot! All four of us left happy- great food and service, no drama. Why can't all restaurants operate this smoothly?! If I were a local, I'd stop in all the time.

I'm not from aroun' here...I'm West-Coast born and raised, so this place kind of reminds me of old ladies. I don't know why. It must be the color of the walls. It's like super contemporary-1950s-house-in-20th-century kind of feel. I mean, it's the era of post-modernism...anything is possible. Anyway... we got one sweet potato pancake, almond ricotta stuffed french toast, egg strata, and coffee. Coffee was divine. Please say yes to coffee. Plus free refills. Sweet potato is a must try-- albeit not Annabel's corn cakes. Egg strata is yummy, but ask for salsa. And I don't recommend the french toast. It just wasn't worth the calories, because it's super stuffed and huge. But if you like a ton of cheese in french toast, I suppose it's the right choice for you. Now that I look back, I don't know why I got it because I don't like cheese. God, people do stupid things in foreign places. They have real flowers on your tables. Do not touch them. Just admire them. A pretty modest breakfast joint, but a pleasant visit nonetheless-- PLEASANTVILLE, that is. (oh dear...)

This place will be for sure one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. It was sunny Saturday morning about 10:00 AM. The Half Day Cafe was about 2/3 full - not too busy, not too slow. The parking lot is rather small, but I could park with no problem. I knew I would like this place when I saw the building and the inside as I walked in. The place is cozy, clean, and has this warm atmosphere. The people work here are friendly and nice. When I read the history of the cafe in the menu, I realized that this restaurant is family run business which I always love about. My girlfriend and I shared Sweet Potato Pancakes and CC Omelette. The pancake was amazing. I did not order syrup to just taste of it, and I did not need anything to add to the pancakes. The pancake itself tasted excellent. It's somewhat sweet naturally and has touch of cinnamon. My girlfriend who always prefers natural taste loved it. And the omelette, I ordered the CC because it has almost everything I like - Spinach, Swiss Cheese, Mushrooms, and Turkey meat and hollandiase on top of it. I have to say this is the best omelette I had in a restaurants. I like this one better than Original Pancake House's. The ingridients tasted so fresh and the texture was perfect, too. The omelette was not dried which can happen sometimes in other places. I think Half Day Cafe will be the No.1 place in Cincinnati I would go for weekend breakfast!

I was traveling on business when I had some free time around 11am. I didn't have breakfast that morning and it was a little too early for lunch so I pulled out the iPhone and opened Yelp to find this breakfast joint close by. Half Day Cafe had some good reviews and it was pretty close by. I drove over and walked into the place and sat right down at the counter. The menu looked pretty good and simple (exactly what a breakfast cafe menu should be...in my opinion). I ordered a coffee and the huevos divorciados which is an Ohio play on huevos rancheros consisting of two crispy corn tortillas, two eggs, black beans, and two types of salsa with sour cream (the dish was surprisingly excellent and I was completely full by the end of the meal). I ordered a side of crispy bacon (very crispy and fairly thick) and white toast (amazing!! very similar to sourdough and extremely dense). I'll be back the next time I'm in town when I'm craving some breakfast. Great job!

Went here for brunch today and it was overall a pretty good place. Pros: 1) Really friendly and courteous staff 2) Nice atmosphere 3) Very reasonably priced for some unique brunch dishes Cons: 1) They don't serve pancakes on Sundays, I had to take a star away for this because pancakes are an integral part of brunch for me. Nice atmosphere, unique and creative menu, will definitely try it out again!

Your day will just run better after breakfast at Half Day - heck, even if you just get a cup of coffee & a muffin from the side door walk-up counter. They switch the menu up a bit with the seasons, and that isn't something you normally see in a breakfast joint. My favorites: the broiled grapefruit with ginger sugar, the carnitas & egg burritos, the winter pear salad and the butter chicken - all delicious. What gets them the 5th star, though, is consistency and cheerful service. You won't ever feel taken for granted here.

Here's what I love about Half Day Café - They feel like home. There is a sense of comfort in the place when you walk through these doors that can't be faked. You go to other, bigger, chain breakfast/lunch/brunch spots that try to capture the feeling of being in a warm, safe, loving spot (you know who they are), but it always feels so forced. It's either there naturally or it's not ... and it is at Half Day. I was looking for breakfast and I didn't want it at home, so off my gal and I went to this spot I'd heard of, seen while driving by, but never actually stopped in. And so, we stepped in. It's your classic café. There's a bar you can sit at and watch them cook, booths all around and some tables near the window. We took a table and ordered up some juice and coffee and water - you know, the reg. The menu isn't large by any means - it's basically just one side (and another side for lunch if you're there after 11), but oh, what a side! Sweet potato pancakes and apple butter stuffed French toast and egg strata and potatoes and everything your heart could desire! Mmmm!!! Double mmm!!! I got the regular pancakes and some eggs and Allison got the sweet potato. We both got two pancakes and it turns out one would have been fine - these babies were giant and filling! Lesson learned, Half Day café. Plus, they make their own friendly squeezed orange juice, which may be the best I've tasted in all of Cincinnati. The staff is friendly and eager to help, even when I spilled my orange juice all over the table (whoops.) In fact, the only thing that bothered me (and it didn't really bother me ... ok, maybe a little), it there's a semi-religious quote above the breakfast bar ... something about angels ... which put me off a little. I know it shouldn't matter and people are free to say whatever they like, but it weirdly got to me all the same. I'm kind of a fan of my breakfast being dogma free, ha. Still, if that's the only real complaint I have, then that's very small in the long run of things and not going to stop me from giving this place the hard 5-stars it deserves!

I got the pumpkin stuffed French toast, it was incredible. I also got a side of bacon, which was thick cut, also very good. The service was wanting, but the food was so good I didn't care. I will defdinately be back.

The Huevos Divorciados were excellent. I removed everything from the tortillas and made a wonderful "soup". The server even gave me a soup spoon! It was worth the wait on this busy holiday Saturday.

I've been here for many families brunches, as it's near my brother's house and pleases everyone. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is cozy, though often crowded (and for good reason - the food is great!) I always struggle to choose between savory and sweet, but whatever I order, I'm happy. Any of their stuffed french toasts are a good choice if you love complex palate-pleasing flavors. Also, I always get a broiled grapefruit on the side. The caramelized sugar and ginger make it a favorite treat!

Very disappointing. From the website: "We're making every effort to put out the best breakfast in Cincinnati--right here at the corner in Wyoming, Ohio. You know that quality and freshness aren't the cheapest and easiest to prepare, so we trust you'll recognize our efforts to provide you with something special." This place supposedly specializes in breakfast, but the sausage patties are Jimmy Dean and the "rosemary potatoes" are crumbled frozen O'Brien potatoes straight from the Sysco bargain section. Omeletes are horrible. I don't consider low grade ingredients "something special" - they are making the same choice that other mediocre restaurants do when business is slow - buy cheap ingredients and hope no one notices.

Half Day was one of the first places recommended to me when I moved here 3 years ago, and it's definitely one of my top 3 breakfast/brunch/lunch places in Cincinnati. The owner, Dale, is super friendly and always on-hand to chat and check in on you. He prides himself in running a family-friendly local establishment and providing fresh ingredients in unique combinations. The environment is bright, cheerful, and clean -- just like Dale and his staff. My faves are the One of Everything combo, the chicken and brie quesadilla, the bacon quiche, the yogurt and fruit parfait, the egg benedict, and the Sunday sausage and dumplings (warning: the dumpling sauce is SWEET). I would basically go here every weekend (and maybe twice in the same weekend!) if my boyfriend wasn't adamant about "mixing things up." Half Day has the perfect mix of dishes you can count on, with seasonal specialties you'll be dying to try. Tips: There is a side takeout counter if you just want to pick up some muffins or bagels and beverages. There's usually plenty of street parking on Route 4, but there's also a small lot around the corner behind Half Day. There might be a short wait on weekends, depending on if you hit a lunch rush or the just-got-out-of-church crowd, but 15 min or less is totally worth it.

I took the little boy I was baby-sitting here for lunch, it was walking distance & right across the street. He talked about the smoothies the whole way from the house to the restaurant so I figured we should order one. The waitress was very nice about splitting it in half. I ordered the combo plate with tomato basil soup & the chicken Brie quesadilla. He got a kids breakfast plate with 1 pancake, 1 sausage link & 1 egg. His meal was plenty, mine could have been a bit more substantial. When we first walked in the place was packed. We put our name on the list & waited outside. I kept an eye through the window & we came back in when the line died down. We were seated right away & got our food pretty quick. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

We traveled to Cincinnati from the Northeast and used our trusted yelp to get us fed! Great decision!! Food was delicious, filling and well presented. Environment was fun, friendly and very comfortable to hang out in with friends. I had the eggs benedict and my special egg request was cooked to perfection. Iced coffee was strong and flavored & they offered a soy substitute to milk/cream. Thank you for acknowledging that people will come in with food allergies!! If I lived in Cincinnati - I would be a regular here!

The food and ambiance were just spectacular. I had the Half Day Benedict with toast and it was excellent! I also got a latte which was nice and strong (not to mention that you got a lot to boot!). The ambiance is very pleasant with a lot of yellow and a cool mural on one of the walls. The only two downsides were the parking: we went on a Monday and there was next to no parking. Normally I hate listing parking as a negative but there seriously was no place to park (they maybe had 4 or 5 stalls near their restaurant) on a freakin' Monday! The second downside was the service. While cheerful and friendly, they weren't very attentive. They never came by to ask how everything was and also never refilled any of our waters. Finally, when we wanted to pay we put the check down on the table with our credit card. After waiting for about 15 mins we realized that we probably had to go up front. But couldn't at least one of the servers have mentioned this when they passed our table? So all in all, great food, hopefully you get better service and easier parking!

I'm a big fan of the mom-and-pop cafes, and this place exemplifies the best of them. The staff makes you feel right at home, and the food is creative without being pretentious. Some of our favorites include: 1) Huevos Divorciados - ok, so this sounds pretentious. It's not. Think super crunchy tostada (fried tortilla), topped with a few eggs (suggest over easy, but have it your way), cheddar cheese, black beans (more of a black bean salsa), then lime crema (how to describe -- sour cream that has graduated to another level, with a hint of lime?), and red and green salsa (red is more spicy, green less but great flavor). And of course a side of rosemary potatoes. Add one cappuccino, and I'm set for the weekend. 2) Mango butter rum french toast - this is my oldest son's favorite, and a specialty of the place. Suggest getting the sauce on the side, as it can get a bit heavy when ladled on top. Not something you can eat everyday without visiting your cardiologist, but a nice treat. 3) Burrito Con Carnitas - I'm a meat eater as you can tell. The Latin spiced pork is very tender, juicy, and not greasy. Goes well with the eggs and peppers/onions. 4) Orange juice - trust me. Like you just literally ate an orange.

As anybody knows I'm a big fan of breakfast and brunch in particular so Half Day Cafe is one of those places I've eaten at a few times. When you go in it looks like a breakfast diner place, definitely more homey than flash, which is the way I like it. It really has a nice balance between traditional favorites with enough of a twist to make it interesting. In terms of food, I've tried a few things and I've never been really disappointed at all. The strata and eggs benedict both had good flavor and real no complaints at all. The breakfast burrito is definitely filling and outside of the complaint about the lack of fresh salsa, the addition of creme fraiche make it taste wonderfully. And the single best part about the meals is that their roasted potatoes are awesome. Add on the fact that the ppl who work there actually pay attention when you need refills for drinks and ask you about your meal (what a thought!) and you have a place that I'll go to whenever I can despite the far drive from where I am.

I've been a regular for Half Day Cafe for awhile, and it's neve been a disappointment. All their items on the breakfast and lunch menu are more than average - and their service even better. My favorite meal consists of: 1) freshly squeezed OJ and 2) Quiche with 3) fruit. Yum, yum, and double yum. I think every suburban neighborhood needs a Half Day Cafe. So down to earth, great atmosphere and friendly service. I forgot to mention that I once showed up with no wallet. I went through the whole meal and when I went up to pay, I was empty handed. I felt terrible and embarrassed enough - but the manager was so kind to write an "IOU" and next round I would pay them back. The next day, I had the exact same breakfast menu and paid them back in double for their trust and flexibility.

This place is a gem! Why can't it be closer to where I live :( The food is great and the staff is always very helpful. I've not a bad meal here. I would go with the Strawberry and ricotta stuffed french toast. IT WAS HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH! I've also had lunch here. They have great sandwiches and it comes with veggies and ranch. Lunch is served pretty quickly and you can even order off the breakfast menu. Who doesn't love pancakes at 1:00pm? They are usually very busy on the weekends so I try to only go during the week. Its a great place to have a business lunch or to bring clients. Parking is street only, but not hard to find. I wouldn't recommend going here if you don't know the name of the guy you just woke up next to, or if you are wearing his boxers and University Hoodie. You will just look like a hooker in this nice family place. Great Atmosphere! Great for business meetings or brunch with mom and dad!

We found this place by accident trying to find another restaurant, but were so glad we stopped here instead for brunch. On one of our adventures into Cincinnati from Dayton, we were semi-lost and looking for a way back onto I-75 after exiting the highway and not being able to get back on the same way. We exited at a shady neighborhood and kept driving but then we crossed the railroad tracks and literally found ourselves on the nice side of town. In this case, it was not just a saying! The nice neighborhood had lovely humongous houses and there stood the Half Day Cafe on the corner for this little friendly town. It looked so bright and cute; so inviting, that we just had to stop and eat there (we were also starving at this point). The inside was like a happy little coffee shop/breakfast place that you see in the movies, yet everything seemed so natural. Tons of natural light poured in from the windows and the smells of delightful food and coffee filled the air. People were talking happily and families were chatting about their morning and what they were doing next week; it was so nice! The service was just as good - friendly, attentive, and fast. No airs, and all natural. The food was amazing. I ate the Mango Butter Rum French Toast and it tasted so good, nothing comes close, and obviously, from the name, not many places probably serve it. Usually I get sick from eating sweet breakfast foods for some reason, but not this time. The french toast was not too sweet, which is probably why I did not feel sick and I did not feel overly full. I just love breakfast places that differ in their menus but do not go overboard and try to overwhelm you. The flavours involved in the menu are simple but different. They do not taste or sound artificial or ridiculous. It is good to know that some places know the line between tasteful and overdone.

Half Day Cafe could be my new favorite restaurant place. I've been looking for a new breakfast joint that could fill the empty hole in my stomach. This place is everything you want in a breakfast/brunch spot--unique menu selection, fresh ingredients, breakfast staples done exceptionally well, welcoming atmosphere and great, friendly service. Everything we had was perfect, but most notably unique and delicious was the eggs benedict, served over croissant halves with prosciutto di parma. We also enjoyed the broiled grapefruit (bruleed with a candied ginger topping), [very] fresh squeezed orange juice that feels/taste like you're drinking an orange, a cinnimony sweet potato pancake (not sure how they get the sweet potato into the batter and still keep it smooth like a regular pancake texture). Also enjoyable, yet less exciting were the banana-pecan pancake and the wildberry smoothie. Naturally, it's going to take more than one visit to become my absolute favorite, so I'll be back for more while I audition some of the other new breakfast places around town.

i walked in with higher expectations, and they weren't quite met. +1 for friendly staff. the owner/manager stood outside the door (on the streetcorner) and bid us farewell. +1 for a great brunch atmosphere. -1 for serving my meal in 3 batches. the kitchen goofed up my order for 4 scrambled eggs, so i got my other 2 eggs a few minutes late. my toast came 2 minutes after that. -1 for my food coming out warm, not hot. surprising since we were the first kitchen order for the day. -1 for scrambled eggs that were dry. if you don't serve good scrambled eggs, then i question the quality of your breakfast establishment. +1 in their defense, my friend's breakfast looked fantastic. he had the "strawberries and cream stuffed" french toast. presentation was great, and the proportions were generous. +0 for mediocre coffee. +0 for a location that's a bit hard to reach from most parts of the city. +1 for neither being a breakfast chain, nor operating like one. -1 for being a bit on the pricey side. quick tip: pay your bill at the counter, not your server. our server didn't make this clear. a respectful tip of the hat to the other yelpers who gave better reviews ... maybe my experience today wasn't the norm. recommended, but with reservation. if i return, it'll likely be due to location (not food).

Mango butter rum syrup? NOM NOM...I could leave off there, but I feel that I should give this place all the due credit that it deserves. As mentioned above, I got French toast with the mango butter rum syrup, which by the way, who came up with such a crazy good concoction? I'm not usually a big syrup fan, as I think it's generally too sweet, but this is delish. Great service, great coffee, and great price. Nothing bugs be more than overpriced brunch, because by the time you are done, you've already shot your budget for the day. Come eat here!

Love it! My sister took me to Half-Day after meeting friends from nearby GE there several times for lunch dates. When we got to Half-Day there was little parking, the lot is tiny but we did find a spot in front of the restaurant on the street. The corner cafe was filled with both business people on their lunch breaks and seniors enjoying breakfast or lunch. It's a family owned business, you'll be able to see the resemblance between the hostess, servers, and managers! Half-Day's menu consists mostly of breakfast, which looked and sounded superb, but we decided that lunch sounded better. I chose the Pear Salad, a good portion of mixed greens topped with crispy slices of sweet pear, Gorgonzola cheese, and walnuts. The salad was served with a homemade vinaigrette that was tart and the perfect compliment to the rich cheese. I also ordered a cup of the soup of the day, a curried chicken chowder. The soup was thick and creamy but didn't quite have the spice I expected. My sister ordered the Grilled Cheese & Tomato, which was served on thick homemade bread and featured a couple different kinds of melted cheese. Her sandwich came served with chips and she ordered the Tomato Basil soup, which she now claims as her "favorite soup ever.:

I went to the Half Day Cafe today for Sunday brunch. I was excited to see that they had vegetarian goetta. I didn't think I would ever be able to try goetta! The goetta was served in a dish called the Cincy Stack. Oh my word, it was seriously the best breakfast I have ever had! And breakfast is my favorite meal to go out for! It was made with fresh biscuits, vegetarian goetta (thin and pan-fried), white cheddar, a sweet tomato relish (delicious!), topped with two poached eggs and just a bit of hollandaise sauce. It was the perfect mixture of creamy, salty, savory and sweet. Mmm. I also had a side of the white cheddar grits, which are equally amazing. Good coffee too! I am going back next Sunday for sure!

This is an eatery designed for the enjoyment of food and conversation. The space has no TVs, no pop music piped in, no fake peppy servers. It's a super clean, friendly place to enjoy your company while eating. As for the food: My 3 favorites are from each menu. The Sunday brunch has a biscuits and gravy the likes of which I've only had from the hands of my southern born grandma. For lunch I often can't resist the Thai chicken wrap. For breakfast it's their bacon bagel that has not just me, but my wife and 3 yr old addicted. I often meet clients, friends, and family here. It's quite accommodating. My only wish is for longer hours - they close at 2pm, the the name.

I was pleasantly surprised on several occasions. The atmosphere is bright and airy, and the mood is calm and homey. The tables can be a bit cramped when it gets busy, but the waitstaff is quite accommodating. The pancakes were delicious and their variety of syrups and toppings took it to a new level.

I really like this place! Just after we moved to Cincy, we had to get our windshield replaced and the insurance co sent us to Wyoming. Since we had to wait a couple hrs while it was being fixed, I looked around for a nice place to eat during our wait. I found it! Half day is one of those places with tables really close together (a bunch of two-tops around), but the service was really friendly and the owners were there and we had a nice chat. It was a couple months ago so I don't remember exactly what I ate, but I just had a warm fuzzy feeling when we left. Something about this place made me feel like a person, a friend even, and not just a ticket. I can't imagine a situation where I find myself in Wyoming again, but if I do and I'm hungry--I'll be back to Half Day!

My wife and I recently started a 'tradition' of, every once in a while, taking a little motorcycle trip somewhere for breakfast. I thought I'd give you my opinion of the places we visit... It was Yelp that helped us find this gem! What a wonderful breakfast we had. The place is absolutely charming. We had a window seat and could see families biking and walking while we ate. If you go there, you MUST have the sweet potato pancakes. They are indescribable. No syrup needed nor wanted. I ordered just one along with my Meat Omelette, and it was more than enough to fill up this ol' tummy. My wife had the Orange Stuffed French Toast. Oh my gosh! Again, indescribable! Unfortunately, I made this stupid rule that we are not allowed to return to the same restaurant for breakfast - I'm pretty sure we're going to break THAT rule here.

My wife and I live a few minutes away from Half Day so we take any visitors we have there for brunch. They are just a mom & pop place that serves fresh ingredients in a creative brunch menu. The service is great and while they don't have a lot of space, you never have to wait too long. The only little complaint is they have a limited set menu on Sunday and it doesn't include standard menu items. The food us still delicious, but if you're just looking for a simple Sunday breakfast, they don't offer it. Other than that, we look forward to going again and again.

Half Day is a cute, local place. It's cozy and small with a super chatty proprietor. The service has always been a bit inconsistent and they have a tendency to run out of things like the egg strata. But, the food is good. I love their sweet potato pancakes, their egg dishes are tasty, and their fresh baked muffins- if you can get them when they're hot out of the oven- are delicious. Overall, a good place to go if you want breakfast but don't feel like cooking for yourself. It's not extraordinary, but it works perfectly for the neighborhood.

Sad to say I am not impressed with Half Day after eating there 6 times in the past 2 years. The feeling of the place is frenetic and uncomfortable and the food is expensive and mediocre. $3 for a cup of hot chocolate? $3.50 for 3 strips of bacon? This visit I ordered the western omelette which was low on ingredients and it was obvious the hash browns were frozen. My companion had pancakes with mango syrup which he said was the best part of his breakfast. I so want to love this place, I appreciate the backstory. Obviously I am in the minority since others' ratings are so much higher than mine. We were unimpressed with the waiter who was dismissive and forgetful although the woman at the cash register was friendly and chatty, the owner maybe? In any case, we won't be back. As yucky as it is Frischs down the pike has GREAT coffee and reasonable prices for their mediocre food.

Having just moved "up the street" and having passed by this cute place a few times, I decided to check it out this morning. Such a good choice! It's a very friendly, warm spot. The decor is clean and inviting with fresh flowers on every table. They really do make you feel like you're an "invited" guest. I started with fresh-brewed coffee and the "broiled grapefruit with vanilla-ginger sugar"....that was "to die for"!! What a tasty idea...they put the "vanilla-ginger sugar" on top and then stick the grapefruit under the broiler and voila...you have this delicious warm grapefruit with a caramelized crust on top!! It's almost like "creme brulee meets grapefruit"!! I will definitely be back for this dish alone. Then I had the "egg strata", which was a wonderful combination of flavors baked especially for me...eggs, bacon, gorgonzola cheese, egg bread, rosemary and orange zest! I will have to come back for the sweeter options...like the "sweet potato pancakes" or the various "stuffed french toast" dishes! It's a neighborhood spot that's family run..and in these hard economic times..I like to frequent little places like this. Makes you feel warm inside...

Delicious food, huge portions, friendly staff, nice neighborhood, and cute decor. What's not to love about this place? Took my boyfriend here for brunch the other day and we ordered the 3 of everything which little did we know was WAY too much but we know next time. But they were awesome and it was brought to us in a timely manner and we didnt feel rushed or bombarded. So will definitely be going back :)

I'm really upset at Half Day Cafe, they have set the bar way too high and now I can't even step into IHOP because I know if won't even be half as good. My family and I love this little place down in Wyoming. I've been going there for about 3 years now and I have never been disappointed. The food is solid, fresh squeezed oj is a plus, great coffee and always a friendly server. The breakfast potatoes are great, they always bring out Tabasco with them, it's like they're friggin mind readers. I could go on and on but I think you get my point. This place is great and as good as it gets period.

Stopped on our way through town. Very near to the freeway, which was a plus. We went at about 11 in the morning on a Thursday, so it wasn't very busy. Seated right away and the staff was very nice. The owner (I believe) noticed my fiance's Michigan shirt and commented on it, showed us some pictures of his son in Michigan gear (it was cute, not overbearing). The food was really, really good. Fresh squeezed oj: get the bigger size, the little one is just a bit more than a shot glass. Biscuits and gravy: some of the best I've had; big, fluffy, buttery, melt in your mouth. Huevos Divorciados: amazing concoction; my only dislike was that the sour cream and salsas made the already lukewarm dish cold pretty quickly and the tostadas were difficult to break apart and eat; but the combo was so good I might try to make it at home. Would definitely stop there again. A very non-greasy-spoon homestyle place.

Wyoming resident speaking here- Half Day is a great little place. Good atmosphere- bright and warm, and very well lit. The service is good and though the prices aren't as good as when they first opened, they're still very reasonable. Personally, I think their breakfast and brunch outshines their lunch, though they do have some good soups. I'd recommend one of their "_ of everything" combo plates, one of their breakfast quesadillas, or some specialty french toast or pancakes. Get the fresh-squeezed OJ if you are a pulp fan, and definitely go for the applewood smoked bacon- its thick and just crispy enough IMHO. I wasn't a fan of the roasted red pepper quiche for lunch, but almost everything else I've had from there has been good. If you're in the area, Half Day is definitely worth checking out. It's not your everyday breakfast place, but it's also not straying too far from the classics- they've taken the ordinary breakfast, tweaked it a little in some cases, and absolutely nailed it, and a lot of their lunch stuff is good too.

I can't believe I'd overlooked reviewing Half Day until I saw the latest review. A friend and I've been meeting there at least once a month for several years. Everything about it is outstanding, from the tasteful, comfortable furnishings to the cheerful, efficient servers, to the friendly, personable owner, to the ample breakfast and lunch menu which should have something to satisfy every taste. The only down side is its popularity, which can lead to a wait for a table if you don't time your arrival carefully.

In a small town of about 8,000 people what a joy to have a restaurant Half Day Cafe that exceeds your expectations. What do I mean by exceeds expectations? First and foremost they are consistent in service, delivery of food, quality ot food and price. I feel qualified to make this statement as I have been a regular customer since they opened 4 years ago. The management is not afraid to try different food items. Menu's can get boring and Half Day Cafe changes the menu by season. We just returned from 3 1/2 months in Palm Desert, CA. My wife and I both are lovers of their pancakes. Joyce had the blueberry and I had the banana w/nuts. They did not disappoint....it's a joy to be home.

Half Day Cafe is fantastic. Wyoming is really ritzy. It really is a hard location to make a space for yourself, but the Half Day Cafe has been able to appeal to the upper crust that live there, as well as provide a great homestyle menu that appeals to everyday folks. The breakfast menu is full of all sorts of standards. The pancakes are great! I usually get lunch though. The cobb salad is delicious and fresh. I usually get a smoothie to accompany it and it's never too thick. Of course the name isn't just in place because it rhymes. It closes just after lunchtime everyday.

Great place, I will be back. Charming decor with bright colors and a menu to match. The grilled chicken salad was very large, the Thai chicken wrap was delicious. Tomato basil soup was almost perfect, great flavors. The mocha smoothie was really really good. I would recommend this to my mother, who enjoys delightful fare without the saturated fats and oils and appreciates reasonable pricing. Note: "Half Day Cafe" means only open for breakfast and lunch!!

Wyoming has a long history of failing to support businesses. Even the great Sturkeys found its location subpar at best, so they moved their main restaurant (mesh) to West Chester. Half Day Cafe confronts this immediately, claiming their neighborhood roots right on the menu. If this appeal doesn't work, the food should. This is great breakfast, which explains why it's regularly packed for weekend brunches. Of course there are the usuals (eggs however, blueberry pancakes, omelettes), but Half Day makes sure to add some independent touches, like the Mango Butter Rum sauce, which was a revelatory addition to buttermilk pancakes which were marvelously fluffy. The Half Day Egg Strata was a little bland to my taste despite the savory promises of bacon, gorgonzola cheese, and rosemary. If you're not from Wyoming, you might feel a little like an intruder; everybody knows somebody else, and intertable mingling is de rigeur. But it's OK. You're welcome here. After all, it was mostly outsiders who supported Sturkey's for so long.

After a few friends told me great things about Half Day Cafe, my friend and I drove 20 mins for Saturday brunch. I ordered an omelet that I built myself with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, avocado and cheese that came with potatoes. The omelet was good but not great. Despite a plethora of ingredients that I included in my order, the omelet was bland. Perhaps a more generous amount of cheese in the omelet could have helped with this. I had never eaten ketchup with eggs prior to this meal, but for the first time decided to because it was devoid of flavor. The texture of the omelet was unusual as well; the egg was more firm and solid than usual. My friend ordered pancakes and I had half of one. The pancake was very good but again nothing amazing as other reviewers described. Maybe my expectations were too high but the meal didn't leave me particularly impressed. I would definitely be open to returning and trying out another menu item because the service was friendly, the ambiance was homey and the food was decent enough to warrant another chance.

Half Day Cafe is a bit of a drive out to Wyoming but we will be back! My husband and I went for Sunday brunch yesterday and had a very delicious relaxing meal. The staff was great. The room was full but not crowded. Plenty of seating. Their coffee was above average. My husband who usually states "ehh the coffee is terrible" at most restaurants said "wow, good coffee". The room is sunny and there were fresh flowers on the table which is a big plus in my book. I had the Huevos Divorciados (two eggs separated by a red and green salsa on black beans and crispy corn tortillas). It was very tasty. The winner was my husbands biscuits and gravy. The dish came with two sausage biscuits covered in gravy. Our only mutual complaint was the potatoes were a little underdone. They were soft but not browned enough. We grabbed a couple butter rum muffin on the way out. One of my best friends told me over a year ago about the muffins from this place which somebody had brought to work. She is a strong hater of the muffin but declared this one too good to stop eating. Overall, a great experience. WIll be back to try some of the sweeter choices.

The food isn't bad, but $30 for two children under 8 and one adult is my definition of an over-priced breakfast. Not worth it, I'll go to First Watch and pay 1/2 that.

Super charming Martha Stewart breakfast. A little bit of Keenbunkport in Wyoming. Food was top-notch breakfast fare, like you'd make if you did your own shopping. Creative use of mundane ingredients yields dishes like the strata. I'd eat one right now. And they use real butter, always a good sign for breakfast. I'd give them five stars if the coffee matched the food. It can get crowded, so plan accordingly.

The half day café. So we found you on the net and I am so glad I did. Standard breakfast, but with extras. Oh, the extras. So, omelets, eggs your way, meat, toast, BORING! No, you have those and Strata, the Mexican stuff, wild French toast that wife, daughter, and friend got, and then my cheddar grits with a side of turkey sausage. To me, French toast is French toast. But they loved it. Me, I'm not a big egg man. Hence my choice of grits and sausage. It was perfect. So go there, if you can find a parking spot. Or create a parking spot, it's worth it. Did I say the grits were perfect? I'm a northern boy and grits are not on our menu up here. But I've been trying them lately and when they are done right, they're great. And these were done right.

I tried the egg strata based on another Yelper's review. I did not find it good. It was dry and disappointing. My daughter, however, got the egg dish with the vegetarian homemade sausage patties and biscuits and it was very good. I will go back, but try something new next time.

Love the small, homey feel of walking away with a true connection. A full belly with great, creative/ food is one thing, but Half Day Cafe really gets what great service means. Wish there was a Northern Kentucky location!

This is one of the best breakfast/coffee place I know. It's not a "joint" but a mom-and-pop restaurant done well, from the menu, service, and price.

Wonderful service, great coffee (raspberry white mocha and white chocolate mocha) and delicious fruit and yogurt parfait with granola. Definitely coming back again!

Really cute place on the corner of one of the main streets in Wyoming. Brunch is one of my favorite meals, so going there was enjoyable. I can recommend the French Toast highly and found the decor to be cheery and interesting.

The prices are reasonable, and the portions just right. I can't say that this place is particularly unique or the food unbelievable. It's overall just A-OK.
