I live and work by this chipotle and it's consistently decent. They keep the line clean and the food is average for Chipotle. It can't get busy, especially around typical lunch/dinner hours so there can be a long line. Often you'll have to wait about 5 minuets for chicken or rice too.

Everyone is familiar with Chipotle's fine, expensive cuisine by now. So, i'll speak on the atmosphere of this particular location. There's a secret code to enter the bathroom. (They want to ensure only patrons use their mildly-clean restrooms. Yet, I've never seen this at any other location.) The service is divinely slow. The staff is always in a rush. (I really can't understand the conundrum.) Basically, if you're in Clifton or at the University of Cincinnati...visit Stetson Square's location...or drive out to Hyde Park's Chipotle. Thank me later.

I got a burrito bowl and chips to go! Everything was great, but the pop machine never seems to work when I go there.

This location is awful. Maybe one of the worst Chipotles that I've been to. It's close to my house so when the craving hits this is the easiest one to go to but I will probably drive a little further from now on. Literally every time I come to this location (usually in the early evenings) the line gets backed up because they run out of meat! Last night I went in and the line was to the door and yet the staff was standing around talking to each other and nobody was actually doing anything. They were out of everything! And no apologies or acknowledgement of the long wait or anything. Definitely not going to keep returning to this particular Chipotle.

Very good food! Prices are okay and value for money is good. All meats are great and fresh. Staff is friendly. Place is clean, you can literally see people cleaning as they go the whole time you are there.

Luv chipotle but this location is the dirtiest one I ever seen. Nothing was prepared so I had to wait, but the made up for it a Lil by offering more steak a free drink, and charging me for a chicken burrito instead a steak. Really hope this location can get it together

This Chipotle is ok. It's not the very best but it's not bad either. Parking can be a little difficult at this location (you may be able to find room in the lot behind it otherwise it's off to search for a street spot or pay for a garage spot). The line is usually pretty long but usually moves at a decent speed. I have ordered ahead with about an 80% success rate of my order being ready on time. The quality of the food is good. The rice is sometimes a bit over salted but in general the food is well prepared. Some employees are friendly, some may not even acknowledge you. Customer service is really the improvement place at this location, but I imagine being constantly busy may take a toll. Chipotle at Stetson Square is worth a stop but is not really going to knock your socks off.

I frequent this Chipotle location because it's close to my work. It's always busy during lunch but surprisingly the line always goes quick. Everybody is nice. I really like the online ordering system that way I don't have to wait in line when I come to pick it up. Parking can be a pain unless you want to pay to park at the garage underneath.

This place is just terrible. There's no sugar coating it. Some of the rudest employees I've ever dealt with . I understand no one is happy everyday they return to work, but I come here because it's the closest chipotle in the area I'm able to get to before closing, and its usually the same terrible employees. I can never get a full bowl of my choice because they never fail to be out of something. I have yet to recall a time where I had a full bowl of my choice because they actually had all the ingredients I wanted. Why am I waiting on rice ? You can't have a bowl without rice . The way a employee handled a customer was obscenely rude. The customer was mad because they didn't warn her they were out of something she had order on 4 burritos. The employee acted as If the customer did something wrong in complaining about that... This place is Jersey shore: Ghetto Version. I personally don't recommend this place to anyone . Two stars because it's chipotle. They need a new and improved staff. Hats off to the chipotle in Delhi . Love it

This review refers to this place on the weekend. It is quite good during the week during lunch. This restaurant is normally very well run with good quality food during weekday lunch time. It become very slow and poor in quality on the weekend. I had the misfortune of entering the store to wait 30 minutes for slow service of poor quality food. There were several items improperly made or missing due to lazy workers on the front and back lines. This is easily to worst Chipotle experience I have had, but not the only bad experience I have had at this location on the weekend. The Chipotle franchise standards were definitely not met at this location on this day. I wasted my money and time at this location based on Chipotle's reputation that this location could not deliver.

I wish I could give no stars! I have had rude altercations with some of the workers there where some of them act like they can't give you more than two pieces of chicken and a tsp of sour cream?? I always ask for extra sour cream and corn, and when I tried that here they tried to rush me and act like they didn't hear me. I didn't care though I stood there and still repeated it and then they finally got it!! They are very inconsistent where some days I have had okay customer service with basic manners while other days they are so rude! Food is nothing I would have a festival over, it's just edible. I've come here a couple of times because I get chipotle cravings and its of walking distance after work (near hospitals) but if I could go to another one I would! I always try to avoid it whenever possible!! It's an all around very poor service and food combination. Expect little food that is questionable, and rude glares/ remarks by workers, in a typical chipotle environment.

This place is never consistent. sometimes the service is really nice and quick and sometimes they are very rude and make you feel uncomfortable (awkward stares from male cooks, rude comments) also the food is also never consistent. Sometimes its good sometimes its really bad to the point that I found a plastic wrap in my rice. like a plastic WRAP. not safe. the only reason I keep coming back is because I love chipotle (just not this place) and its very close to school (UC). though now I go to the the one that is on Calhoun which is very close to UC.

Typical Chipotle. Gets very busy since it's across from the hospital. Chipotle never gets brown rice right, but this one did the first time I tried it. Good enough to impress me.

  • Brian X.

Definitely the WORST chipotle I've ever been to. I will never go to this one again. This is the one across from the hospital on Martin Luther King. The first thing I noticed was grease running down the OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING! Down the concrete and glass windows. Lots of it. Coming out of the large exhaust vent for the grills and fryers. There was also grease running down the walls behind the grills from the hoods. I'm not talking about some backsplash stuff. It was coming from the top of the wall down. That much grease/oil/whatever takes time to accumulate up there. There is a tray that runs around the whole thing that catches any grease before it can run down the walls, which means those trays are overflowing with nasty goo. Oh yeah and did I mention THERE WAS GREASE RUNNING DOWN THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING!?! The place is also just generally dirty. Nothing is consistent. The employees are the worst. You will stare at your half-made burrito sitting there while they dilly dally. Cashier will disappear right when you're ready to pay. Oh yeah, this one time my tortilla ripped when they were wrapping it, so they just slapped a second one on. Thanks for the extra 400 calories. And this one time when I was like "No chicken" "No chicken" "No chicken" the dude put a big ol spoonful of chicken on it. But to his defense, he apparently didn't speak English and I DO know how to say pollo.

I haven't had any problems with an order being incorrect as some of the other reviewers have, but I can second any claims about this being a substandard location. Was great when they first opened and has gone downhill since. I think the only reason they still get traffic is because of their proximity to the Hospital. There clearly hasn't been any effort to keep up with maintenance. My visit last night saw a menu board half unhinged, waiting to fall, and no one attempting to correct it. The line wasn't clean, rice and cheese scattered everywhere, and the two guys working the line couldn't stop arguing with one another. I used to rely on this location as a way to avoid the crowds at the shop closer to UC but I don't think I'll be back.

This location is horrible!!! I have visited this location numerous times and my experience has been awful. The food is of poor quality, poor customer service (employees are unfriendly), and the parking situation is terrible. In addition, there was an instance where I found hair in my food and the manager stated "its only a eyelash" and was not apologetic at all. I will never return to this location. I rather drive to another location than to throw away my money! This location needs to go out of business!!

Went for lunch today. Consistent food, mostly friendly staff, nice patio area, convenient location. Lacks parking but I enjoy a little walk. I don't know what else to say other than it's Chipotle... nothing unique or exceptional but it serves its purpose. 4 stars!

Gotta love Chipotle. I don't know how they make their chips, but whatever they do, they are doing it right!

If you enjoy cold chicken and uncooked rice, head over to this Chipotle!!! I usually love this place, but this location must of had their b team working or cooking. Seriously my chicken was cold, and the rice was hard, so Im assuming it was under cooked.

I've been a huge fan of chipotle ever since I moved to the continental United States back in 2005. I was very excited when this chipotle opened up in Clifton as it would be close to school and now work.. At first, I felt that this place took some time to get acclimated as the food and service were not up to par with the other locations. Recently I am glad to say that the chipotle here in Clifton has been able to maintain a great level of service, and their food is up to snuff with the other locations. I'm also a huge fan of the vegetarian pinto beans, as only having black beans as an option for vegetarians was getting old. I have also heard that chipotle is experimenting with soy options for vegetarians, which I look forward to.

Came in to get a wonderful lunch and when it came to check out the lady seemed as though she brought her troubles to work. As we went to pick up our drink cups, that weren't handed to us, she began to demand we dont touch the cups because flu season is here, which we understood and respected. As we sat down to eat it became clear that the flu was the least of her worries as she went about her time itching her weave and pulling her shirt up a bit to itch her stomach. After these gestures she continued to ring out customers without a worry. As if we were not grossed out enough she continued to itch her head while grabbing her sweatshirt to go out and smoke. She was back and forth going inside and out while slowing keeping up with others that needed rung out. At the end of our meal all we could smell was the smoke from her cigarette because the door was opened so many times and with her smoking a foot outside it was awful. Needless to say you would be better off driving a few extra miles to eat at another Chipotle location where the staff is actually worried about your food, washes their hands and respects the need to smoke in the correct locations. I will NOT return here.

Decent portions. If you go during lunch it will be mobbed with hospital staff... if you go too late you'll get the 'busline' clientele... so time it to hit the sweet spot. Salt shakers are stolen on a regular basis so get ready to give your first born as collateral if you want to borrow one.

This particular Chipotle always has a line, but it usually moves pretty quickly, and the counter staff are always smiling...standard Chipotle fare (including margaritas...never tried them cause I'm usually picking up food on the way to work!). The parking lot is tiny and for 15 min only, but you can usually street park on the street on the right just after the actual parking lot. Just found out about ordering Chipotle online (you pick a time to pick it up)...so I'm sure I'll be enjoying this location a lot more!

While I try to avoid fast food chains, I am a Chipotle fan. I find their food to be some of the most tasty "fast food" out there. I appreciate the healthier options (hint, ditch the 290 calories, 9g of fat flour tortilla and go for the burrito bowl) and their commitment to "Food With Integrity", a pledge to (whenever possible, hey at least they're honest) respect the farmers, animals, environment and ingredients. chipotle.com/en-US/fwi/f… I also like that my order is made fresh and to MY specifications. Cool, so if you decide to visit this location, it will certainly be PACKED at lunchtime. The University Hospital, UC, and Hoxworth employees will comprise the majority of the customers. Heck, if you're feeling sick, strike up a conversation with a doctor while you both wait, ha! As others have mentioned, the line will move fast, so even if the line is out the door, you should still be able to get your food with plenty of time to enjoy in your lunch "hour". The outdoor patio area is nice and you can watch the steady stream of MLK traffic. While I think about it, be very careful crossing this very busy street. People drive a little crazy in Clifton. So, check this place out. They have no parking lot, so either locate street parking in the surrounding streets, or park in a hospital lot/garage. Some miscellaneous tips and links: One of the earliest Chipotles opened in our neighbor to the north, Columbus. Wanna invest in them? Stock symbol: CMG (trading at almost $400 a share, up from $98, 2 years ago!) They actually have tounge-in-cheek "How to Order Instructions" chipotle.com/en-US/order… *There are 7 Flavors of McIlhenny Company Tabasco Sauce, you will most likely only see the 3 main ones at a Chipotle: Pepper Sauce, Green Pepper, and my favorite Chipotle Pepper Sauce. (While writing this I found you can buy up to a gallon of the stuff for $40! countrystore.tabasco.com… ) Download their iPhone/iPod app here: itunes.apple.com/app/chi… You can place your order ahead of time (useful if ordering for your coworkers), although the last time I used it, you couldn't ask for things like: extra salsa, chicken, etc. They may have updated the app, not sure... Watch their cool video "Back to the Start" with a haunting Coldplay track sung by Willie Nelson. chipotle.com/en-US/fwi/v… Nutritional info: chipotle.com/en-US/menu/… No surprises here... Special Dietary Needs Info: chipotle.com/en-US/menu/… *They use no nuts of any kind in their food. *Vegans should avoid the Pinto Beans (they are cooked with a small amount of bacon).

I work at the hospitals and have gone to this location since its opening. I have seen its degradation over the years and tonight will be my last visit. After waiting in line for 15 minutes (at 8pm) behind a guy "holla'in at a shawty" behind me, I give my order to miss attitude. I felt as though I was bothering the "workers". I quietly moved down the line trying to ensure my order was correct in between the loud "singing" of Aretha Franklin Jr as she chopped the chicken. Next thing I know, the guy in front of me and the salsa station worker start arguing about the amount of toppings he was given. Honestly, it was heated enough that I stepped in, a position I should not have to be placed, if it were civilized. I agree the food is good, if they feel like making it. If you can't go to another location, prepare for a ghetto treat.

I have never tried a Chipotle before but I can sure say it taste pretty good. I've had authentic Mexican food where all the employees don't speak a speck of English and this fast food restaurant comes close to their authenticity. The price is reasonable too. I purchased the Barbacoa bowl which consists of spicy shredded beef. For 5.95 it came with rice, beef, corn, tomatoes, salsa and lettuce. They also pack it up to make it a large meal. The taste was incredible; it tasted like Mexican food from my neighborhood. The beef was marinated and prepared well. I like the optional Tabasco sauce that came with it too, you get to choose between the red and green sauce. This Chipotle in Cincinnati is large and can accommodate inside and outside seating. The selection of styles is small though.

The chain is great, this particular location sucks. It's gross and dirty. They rarely wipe down tables or anything in the kitchen, it seems. Grease dripping from the walls, literally. Staff is typically rude or aloof, at least. Cashier is pretty much never there by the time you get to the end of the line. Food is not consistent. There's a much better location just up the street in Clifton, it's worth the extra 4 minute drive to avoid this one.

this chipotle is legit, as are most all chipotles. i basically just wanted to write this post to point out that chipotle is better than currito.

It's Chipotle, 6-7$ for a burrito, a few more bucks for chips and guac or a drink. A bunch of meat, rice, burrito, and veggies. Fast service and you can watch as it's made. Also delicious and huge. It's a big one too, lots of seating indoors and a few tables outside.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
