I've been waiting to experience this restaurant for awhile. I was able to visit for my wedding anniversary. I would first like to say the service was superb we were treated with the upmost respect & were told very explicit details about what meats we want and also explained the salad bar. The meats were cooked to perfection or cooked to your specifications. I'm not a red meat eater ; however I did taste the filet and sirloin and it was good and cooked to my liking. I fell in love with the rotisserie styled chicken legs, my husband loved the pork. Ohh the salad bar had a lot of good choices one could eat that alone. My cocktail was very good you could tell it was fresh and made to please it was a Brazilian Mojito. Since it was our anniversary we were able to pick from one of their delectable desserts free of charge. My next feat is to experience their happy hour!!

I took my husband here for Valentine's and was really disappointed. I love Churrasca's especially Portuguese restaurants in Newark NJ and was excited to try this one out. They had a decent salad bar, and lots of meat- but it was just that just cooked meat, none of the usual flavor I was used to. And deserts were still a la carte. Save your money and go to Jeff Ruby's for some meat with flavor. I can't believe this place is still open.

All you can eat meat with a side station buffet.. The sides were good but who wants to fill up on broccoli and cheese when you can have 10 different cuts of steak, lamb, and chicken?? The meat was amazing and the service was impeccable. If you're a carnivore, this is definitely the place for you.

Last week, I took my girlfriend to Boi Na Braza for "Cincinnati Restraunt Week 2015" with 5 other couples (12 person group). I've been to BNB before, but it was my GF's first time; so I was interested to see what she would think of a Brazilian style restaurant. Let me start by saying that the service was 5-star. Between the waiter and the food staff, there was never a wait for anything that we needed. Also, the salad bar is such a tease. There are so many options that it is hard to resist, since you are trying to save room for the unlimited meat. With that being said, even though there were a lot of options, the salad bar (which includes all the sides) was very average at best. The sides were lukewarm and lacked any noticeable flavor and seasoning. The meats!! Who can resist unlimited meat?! It was just how I remembered; an endless supply of meat until you are completely stuffed. The meat isn't always the best quality. With the way it is cooked, it is the luck of the draw on how good each piece is. Some pieces have more flavor than others, while other pieces are dry and overcooked. But some pieces are amazing, like the 3rd bacon wrapped fillet I had. My GF, on the other-hand, was not very impressed. She would prefer a really, high quality steak, in lieu of endless above average meat. I think this is just a preference and is probably more suited for the pallet of most men. All-in-all, Boi Na Braza is worth the money!!

This has become a "must do" staple each time I visit. We were there for his birthday in June, and now for my birthday in August. Good timing that it was Restaurant Week, so we got a great price, and dessert too! We are in love with the lamb chops and leg of lamb. We let a lot of meats pass us by in order to save room and fill up on lamb. We never miss out on the picanha or filet either. Yum! On this trip, we ordered mojitos. They were flat and not sweet enough. We brought it to the attention of the manager, and he replaced them with the best mojito I've ever had. They made it right, and that's what counts, so with the previous experiences I've had here, I'm keeping it at 5 stars. Papaya cream with cassis is another "must have" at each visit, and because dessert came with each dinner during Restaurant Week, we also had a piece of the chocolate torte. Both were delicious. For obvious reasons, they also add an 18% tip in to all tables during Restaurant Week, so that the outstanding servers and gauchos don't get short-changed. We added more because they earned it. It's filling, and you can't do this place every week, but rest assured, we will be back.

Have eaten at this chain and other Brazilian places before. Lived up to my expectation. Delicious meats, a beautiful salad bar with so many choices, nice people serving food & drinks. Try to go when there's a special offer or the cost becomes quite high with booze. Still, it was a nice meal and a good time.

Not bad... The meat and salad bar was amazing! I especially Loved the caprese salad. I am afraid the Columbus Brazilian restaurant is a lot nicer... The wait staff there is extremely charming and interactive, and the variety of meats is better (ham, chicken wings, grilled pineapple). Additionally, the french fries are greasy and limp in the Cinci place. Overall, it is still a very fun experience and if we wanted to entertain in this area, we probably would come here agin.

Come prepare to eat till you drop... If that's not your thing, than pace yourself and hope for the best! Boi Na Braza offers 15 types of meats and it's really hard to pick favorites because they are all very well done. Seasoned to perfection, juicy and tender. If I had to choose I would say that the rib eye and the chicken breast wrapped in bacon where my favorite. Gauchos bring the meats around and you have a little card at your table that is stop and go for them to bring stuff around when you want it only. They are very nice and aim to please the clients. Their salad bar is ginormous, but remember you are really there for the meats! The have everything from cheese and hams, to mash potatoes and rice. So pick and choose your favorites. Last but not less important, if you have room for dessert at this point hey have a rolling cart full of fantastic options. My personal favorite was the carrot cake, it was moist and the creme cheese frosting was delicious. I went during restaurant week, who in included everything and dessert for $35. I think that's the best pricing I have seen from this place. Is definitely not a restaurant to go every month, but if restaurant week has it again next year I may stop by.

Delicious everything! Only problem is that I couldn't eat more. Dessert was fantastic! I think I'd rather go to a normal steak place next time because I'm not the best at portion control...

Just a great steak house. We have experienced this restaurant twice and just amazing. The service was Fantastic, they treated us with so much respect. There is always such a great variety of meats, from lamb chops to NY strip to a house special. Just amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to experience a great place to go for dinner.

The concept of all Brazilian steakhouses is one that is fun and very much appeals to me, and Boi Na Braza is no exception in this area. However, with the grandeur, fun and originality aside, sadly the food at this restaurant misses the mark, especially in terms of the cost. It generally runs around $50 a person and you do get quite a variety options between the buffet and different meats but in my opinion, everything was just kind of so-so. I think the highlight of my 3 different trips to this restaurant is the large salad bar. It has a bevy of different choices- cured meats, cheeses, every kind of salad topping you could possibly imagine... it really is pretty spectacular. The problem is that when you get down to the nitty-gritty of things nothing really struck me as being very fresh, unfortunately. A prime example would be the salad dressings- the don't seem to be house made (my thoughts are, actually, that they come in large plastic jugs). With that aside, the salad bar really is a lot of fun and it gives diners an opportunity to try a large variety of different items. As for the meats, there are approximately 12 different cuts and you are welcome to have an unlimited amount of each. All of the meats are cut right at the table by their special "Gauchos" which makes for a fun presentation. Several of the cuts are quite good, most notably the filet mignon and beef ribs. However, I found that the majority of the meats were slightly on the dry side and tended to be over-salted. Nothing was inedible, but none it was spectacular either. As for the service I will say that it was quite good. Our server was friendly and quickly made suggestions in terms of wine and offering us their classic caipirinha, which was excellent. Overall, Boi Na Braza is good, but with a price tag of $160 for two of us (including wine and the 2 drinks) I felt that it fell short and I'm not sure that I will be clamoring to return.

Steaks. It had a very impressive salad bar that everyone ignored. Desserts were sub-par but that may be because I had to wobble back to my hotel room..

It's so hard to get a baby sitter these days. Anyhow decided to chance it and take the dynamite baby out for dinner with my visiting mother. First impression, host was very accomodating! Opened the door, took the stroller, set us down! Waiters were eager to please got the baby some juice, fruit and whatever she needed. Food was plentiful. Although I did not have the desert, my mother did, and she loved the creme brulee. No one complained from my party. Even though my child was fussy, she was well accommodated. Service was great, food was plentiful. Expensive but worth it.

The food is all you can eat of some of the best meats you can eat. Plus the hot/cold appetizer selection could be worth a visit in itself. The Guachos serve the meats from skewers right off the grill. The house special and the filet are top choices for me. The servers are also excellent and attentive. Definitely worth the visit and the price is well worth it. Just come ready to Eat!!

***This review is for the Happy Hour only.*** Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 7:00pm Specials: 1/2 off Brazilian Caipirinha's (org. $12 hh. $6) 1/2 off wells 1/2 off all beers 1/2 off bar appetizers Sounds amazing right? Rumored to be one of the best happy hours in the city we ventured upon this biz on a cold rainy Thursday when neither of us felt like cooking. First of all the atmosphere - it looks like a totally unauthentic 90's chain steakhouse. Wooden everything. White tablecloths etc. If I were having dinner here for $50 a pop I would appreciate a little ambiance. Also the restaurant was dead. For a Thursday night I thought this was a little odd. The drinks - holy happy hour! We got a dirty martini, a Brazilian Caipirinha, and three beers for the price of two drinks in OTR. Also our bartender was friendly and approached us before HH was over to ask if we wanted to ring in another round for the price. I loved that he asked and didn't just let us run over the time. The food - oh dear god if this is any representation of what they do here BEWARE. I ordered the shrimp cocktail org. $12 I got it for $6. To my surprise, it came out with 8 JUMBO Shrimp. My bf and I looked at each other and said, no where in the city can you get 8 shrimp for $6. There has got to be a catch here. And there was. These shrimp were rancid and inedible. Frozen (obviously) but past even being able to serve them. Anyone who let these shrimp go out like this should be ashamed. They were so old and tasted like chewing on tire rubber. You could not bite into them with your teeth and old foul smelling water oozed out of them. We took two bites and left the rest. All I could think of was Gordon Ramsey walking back into that kitchen and finding a cooler full of god knows what back that. For our next appetizer we got the "filet mignon dip with crostini" what came out looked and tasted exactly like a box of hamburger helper. It was laughable. Again, completely inedible. I am never this harsh, especially on a happy hour, but I could not believe the level of quality that was passing here. I was completely offended and will never return. I don't care how cheap the drinks are.

I've dined here maybe 6 or 7 times mainly for the 1 hitter no quitter Caipirinha.they use classic technique and ingredients for these. Best I've ever had. During happy hour they are half off. One of these and you will be very happy... Anyways. You can order just the dining bar or the bar plus the meat. The dining bar is incredible. Simply put amazing. Variety of vinegars, infused oils, fresh sale vegetable stacked, blocks of imported cheese, hearts of palm, etc. warm exotic mushrooms, mashed potatoes, beans. I gave up on ordering the meat and just eat the aforementioned. The meat ALWAYS disappoints. ALWAYS. It's either chewy, over cooked, undercooked, flavorless, blah. The atmosphere is really really drab and reminds me of attending a post funeral wake. Like just not good. And it's expensive 50+ per person. Happy hour drinks yes. :)

Boi Na Braza is meat heaven. If you know a meat-aholic, bring them here. If you like your steak well done (first of all I suggest you hit an Applebees because good steak should never be cooked well done), skip this restaurant. Not only will you be disappointed that you'll be forced to stick with chicken (for the steep price of $50) but they'll also scoff at you for even asking. This place isn't just for meat-aholics. The salad bar is divine! Shiitake mushrooms, mashed potatoes, caprese salad, and Waldorf salad are just a few items that are offered. You can snag the salad bar for just $19 if you are vegetarian or are just looking for a lighter option. Let's also not forget the Caipirinha. If heaven could be served it a glass, it would be a Caipirinha. A little tip, for dessert request the Papaya Creme. They don't always have it, but it's worth the request because it is incredible. Don't forget the Cream de Cassis on top.

Boi oh boi! Boi Na Braza, you had me at 'Brazilian BBQ' and 'all you can eat'! Make sure you come here with a good appetite, actually, just skip breakfast & lunch and come with an empty stomach! Came here for downtown restaurant wk since I felt like this was the best bang for my buck. Normally it's $48.95, but during restaurant wk, it's only $35, and you get dessert! (which the normal $48.95 does not include). They have an awesome salad bar, but tread lightly, it's easy to get full just by eating their salad bar. They give you this bomb ass basket of bite size cheese bread when you sit down (which I ate too many of and filled up half of my stomach, rookie mistake..). All the meat are orgasmic, yes, orgasmic (you get 15 different kinds of meat). The service was great and the restaurant is quite elegant. It was a perfect experience. I will be back, hungry for more Boi Na Braza!

Terrible terrible experience. The food was good-however a group of 8 of us went here for dinner-and all eight of us got our CREDIT CARD INFO STOLEN. Within hours, fraudulent purchases were made using ALL of our cards. When we called management to inform them-they were very rude and would not commit to investigating the incident. I wouldn't advise anyone eating here...

Fantastic, unique way to eat meat. Carnivores unite!!!!! I visited for a birthday celebration, and it was an amazing way to celebrate 20 years on Earth. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the side-bar was delicious and well-curated. The staff and General Manager were quite pleasant. Try the polenta! ...or the frozen pineapple drink. (non-alcoholic) Perfect place for older kids.

We trekked downtown to celebrate with friends for a pending retirement. His restaurant of choice? Boo Na Braza. It was the first time for all of us, a party of six. We were seated promptly, and the service was excellent throughout the evening. The waters were always filled, and as soon as a drink was empty we were asked if we would like another - not in a pushy way though :o) The waiters were happy to explain anything, and they were enthusiastic to boot! We all began with the Caipirinhas, traditional lime, though they also had strawberry (and another flavor I can't remember). They were made table-side with the squeezing of the limes, etc. Can't get fresher than that! Refreshing and delicious! We perused the salad bar which was a wonderful spread of practically anything you can imagine! Our favs: hearts of palm, prosciutto, arugula, caprese, soybean salad, just to name a few. There were also hot dishes, including rice and mashed potatoes. There were others, but these were the two that I tried. Rice was plain, but I am a rice-lover, so I was glad that they offered it. And I LOVE mashed potatoes, and there's was delish but were a tad on the salty side. Back to the table, and there were baskets of fried bananas, cheese puffs/bread, french fries, and fried polenta. The cheese puffs were yummy and definitely a must try. I would skip the fries and polenta, since they were ordinary and you don't want to fill up! Didn't get to the bananas.... Let the meat begin! There are small cardboard discs at each place setting. Green side up and they will continue to offer you meat. Red side up and they stop. Our favs: filet mignon, lamb chops, their specialty sirloin Picanha, and the rump roast with garlic. Unanimous at the top were the lamb chops and Picanha. You really need to be careful of your choices. Why have chicken when you can have filet? Desserts were shared by all, including the key lime pie and papaya cream. Very good if you have room left! One teeny surprise was that as a party of six, they automatically added a 22% gratuity. Not a problem, but you should be aware. As the bill was picked up by our friends, I did not see the cost of all that we ordered. Would I go again if paying? Yes!

Not Chicago by a LONG SHOT! The salad bar was good? But this is not Friches. So, who cares right? Same price as Chicago. Different experience and quality of food. And the atmosphere quietly ruined my birthday lunch/dinner. Never felt so ignored and rushed in my life. And it was empty. Reservations were made before the expected dinner rush (4pm). The food was SO salty. COULD NOT BARE IT. and was running out the door. $275 wasted. Happy birthday to me. And I'm going to just say it. I did not feel welcomed at all. My family are very mannerable and respectful. My girls know how to behave. And I still left a $30 tip. Whoa! Over $300! If YHWH/God/Jehovah+Yeshua/Jesus do exist, how is this mistreatment of people continue. I hate these moments in this evil country. More terrible moments than good ones. But this is a franchise place. So...

I love this place! The wait staff has always been quietly attentive and the food is always delicious. There are so many typed of meat to choose from! Each waiter comes around to your table with a different meat and you use a small card indicator to let them know you are ready for more (they know by the color of the card whether or not to approach your table). They cut your choice of meat from the skewer (medium, medium-well, well-done, etc.) and place it on your plate. Delicious. They also bring you fries, fried bananas (I didn't care for these), puffy cheese bread and fried polenta. It's all very good. You will get your fill of meat here, for sure. If you've never eaten Brazilian before, this is definitely the place to try it.

Me and my husband went here for our first wedding anniversary! I told them when I did my reservations I want a nice romantic time, and that's what they gave us. The salad bar is great! Love the broccoli and the rest was good! Now the meat was great the steak was my fav. My husband love all the different steak they had. They have so many different kinds of everything. The staff was very sweet to us and made sure our breed and drinks was alway full. And if we wanted more of a meat they send them over! Over all we love this place! We are so thankful for them making our first anniversary a remember one!

I have never been to such a place before. Me and my wife, In T-Shirts and jeans decided to go in, and have dinner. We felt a little under dressed for this place, but no one seemed to mind. The Salad bar was a little lacking in "Normal" salad items, but that quickly went to the back of mind. We flipped over the token thing on our table, and got swarmed with meaty goodness! I got to try things I would normally not order. If something wasn't cooked to my liking, they quickly returned offering more, but cooked right! The staff was very nice here, and we really enjoyed our dinner this night. It was a memorable expirence.

This was quite the experience and for the most part everything was fine. Food was good, service was good, decor and view of fountain square was nice, but it just wasn't worth the cost. Food: I could speak about the salad bar but no ones coming for that. On to the meat! My favorites were beef ribs, filet (not the bacon wrapped), garlic steak and the house special. Skip the chicken and pork options. All of the food was generally salty, and the scale showed it in the morning. I had read some previous concerns of service, and thankfully we experienced the complete opposite. Waiter was prompt and friendly. Managers were walking the room consistently supporting the servers and asking tables what meats they want delivered. Three stars isn't bad (though sometimes it feels that way if I go to a place hoping for a five) but overall they do a lot good but nothing extraordinary. For two people we added wine and dessert and our total would have been just under $200. However we had a $50 CincySaver coupon. FYI- they add 18% tip automatically for CincySaver users- be sure to add a few bucks. We may go back but at that cost more likely to go elsewhere.

The best meal on my visit to Cincinnati. Celebrating my Goddaughter's graduation here could not have been more fitting for a great gal. As if you cannot go wrong with all the tasty meats you want until you cry uncle, but each bite was nothing but savory Brazilian goodness that was nicely complimented by the glass of Argentinean malbec. When dessert came, I had the papaya fruit blended into the freshly made homemade ice cream that was topped with Creme de cecci I think.. But the liqueur combined with this blended ice cream was an extraordinary conclusion to a celebration dinner. Thanks, Boi for being such a fantastic host to my neice's special dinner. If I lived in Cincinnati, I would return over and over again.

We were going out to dinner with friends to celebrate my husband's upcoming retirement and this is where he choose. Because he has been to Brazil and tried their Churrascarias, he thought it would be fun for the rest of us to try. If you love meat, this is definitely the place for you. As a matter of fact, they will keep bringing it around until you let them know to stop. My favorite was the filet and the rumproast with garlic. A couple of tips are to eat very lightly the day you go and be patient for the filet mignon to come around. It felt like they came around with the chicken & pork quite often - you can ask for the filet though. But I am getting ahead of myself because before the meat portion, you will enjoy an amazing salad bar! You almost need to stop yourself from filling up on it before the entree because of all the wonderful offerings. Think salmon, prosciutto, lots of cheeses, caprese, hearts of palm, artichokes, cornichon, and some hot sides, too. My daughter and I might go back and just get the salad bar because it looked that tempting. Also, there were little bites of deliciousness known as their cheese bread. Oh my! You would be doing yourself a disservice if you skipped them. We all tried Brazil's national cocktail - Caipirinha made table-side with fresh limes, sugar and cachaca. They are both refreshing and delectable! Finally, we ended our meal with desserts shared of Key Lime Pie and a Papaya Cream made with a blend of fresh papaya fruit with vanilla ice cream, served with creme de cassis. Yum! I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the service was exceptional. They were eager to make it a pleasant dining experience and it showed.

It was a fun, unexpected place to visit. My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. It was unexpected because it was all you care to eat salad bar and 15+ meats to choose from brought directly to your table and carved in front of you

I have wanted to go here for a long time now, and it surely did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in the service is impeccable. Our server was diligently attentive, yet knew when to keep his distance, he kept us with clean plates regularly and the attendants made sure our glasses were never empty. The meet was well seasoned and varied greatly. I loved the tenderloin and the bacon wrapped filets, and the Salad bar was exceptional and extensive. We had the signature fruity rum drink and it was unique and very well put together, I highly recommend it. Overall, it is well worth the money, and the experience and service is worth going back for!

It didn't take long for the "meat coma" that I was in to wear off for me to come to my senses and have a clear opinion of what I thought of Boi Na Braza. It's simply not worth the price of admission. My wife said it best (and she was being serious), "I mean... I would go back if it was free". It wasn't that Boi Na was terrible food. I think it was a combination of the food, service, and price that really mixed for a big thumbs down from my crew. First, hopefully everyone knows what to expect when you go to a Brazilian themed restaurant. I was prepared having been a half dozen times during my travels, and I also filled my wife in on what to expect. For me, Boi Na was actually the best quality Brazilian place I had ever been to. However, it was also 4x the price of any of the others that I went to, and not at all 4x as special. As for the food... The meat was good. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They made the rounds with loads and loads of fresh inexpensive cuts of meat that were well cooked and properly seasoned, and fed you until you could nearly eat no longer. Then, every once and a while they would send a server around with a "higher end" cut, which on the night I went was either a filet mignon "straight up" or bacon wrapped filet. I like to think of myself as a meat snob - one that can taste what I'm eating (in terms of quality). I could wax poetic about what you get a various levels, but for me, what I tasted when I ate Boi Na wasn't "prime" and it wasn't "select"... It was mostly "choice", which is the bottom of the food chain. As for the buffet... That really irritated me. I would have never imagined I would go to a restraint that charged $50 per person and see such terrible selections on the buffet. Imitation mashed potatoes? You got it! Pasta + sauce straight out of a "bag" to the warming pan? You got it! How about a nice wilted salad to go with your copious amounts of meat? You got it! All joking aside, I can get how a dressed salad can get away from you, but it's not difficult, nor is it expensive to make fresh mashed potatoes or fresh pasta with fresh sauce. Instead, Boi Na insisted on embarrassing themselves in my book. Now - probably the most annoying part of my evening was the service! We walked in and had a server we could barely understand. His accent was Eastern European, but it wasn't because of his accent that we couldn't understand him - it was because he was mumbling. We placed our drink orders, he dropped them off, and we literally NEVER saw him again! We went the entire dinner without a refill on our drink, or any of the other tasty offerings they put on your table to accompany the meat. It wasn't until the end that we asked if someone had seen our waiter to which we were told that "he had left, but it was no big deal since they all helped out". Great helping out supporting wait staff! You really sucked on our trip! As for the dessert - I think we paid $7.50 per (which we thought was free) - and really didn't enjoy ours that much. We got the key lime pie and the cheesecake, and neither were special or merited the price they fetched. The key lime pie crust was frankly bad and likely quite old, and the cheese cake tasted processed and not hand crafted / individually made... I may head back if I'm hosting a large group of guys, but if I'm shelling out $50 a head (and it's usually more), I'd rather go somewhere that puts a much more thoughtful dish in front of me, provides me good service, and gives me nothing that is fake or processed.

Beginning of a nightmare... My fiance brought me here for our first date. Since then, we've spent every anniversary dinner here and Saturday night decided to celebrate our engagement at boi na braza as well. Unfortunately it was a disaster. The meats were all over cooked, some were even burned. I prefer medium rare meat myself, but am perfectly okay with a good medium cook of meat (my fiance eats his steak well done and even he felt that everything was over cooked). Finally after I realized that the chefs were sending out everything well-done to charred I requested a rare filet, it came out well done, not one bit of pink. The insulting thing was, the manager himself had been asking customers for special requests, so I told him I'd appreciate a rare filet, the manager saw the filet the server brought out for me, and stated "that isn't rare!" but did nothing to fix it! When a couple goes to a restaurant that is easily $50 a person (more if you have a drink), they expect a good quality meal. The fact that the manager saw that I had received a well done steak when I'd asked for rare and did nothing shows how little the customer is appreciated. What saved the night from only getting one star: our personal server did a fabulous job helping us figure out what amazing malbec we had ordered our last visit. Based on our description and his knowledge of the wine menu, he nailed it! Some of the meats were quite good, the only meats that were charred and horrid were the steaks (this is steak house!) The sausages and the lamb chops were phenomenal! Our water glasses stayed full and the salad bar was clean and fully stocked. We are hesitant to return, as this isn't a cheap place to eat and honestly this time it wasn't worth the money you would spend on a dinner at applebees.

I love this place. So much meat. Favorite, bottom sirloin. It may be one of the best steaks I've ever had. I wouldn't waste steak space on sausage next time. Ready to go back.

So I'll admit this was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse but I kinda knew what to expect. Massive salad bar which really serves just to distract you from eating the meat which is constantly - and I mean constantly - brought around to your table. Some of the salad bar options were quite excellent I have to say. Loved the sun dried tomato and the caesar salad and the squid salad. But my advice is to eat very little of these, just a taste because you're not going to a brazilian steakhouse for anything except endless amounts of meat. Boi Na does have a very wide variety of meats which is great. Obviously the emphasis is on steak, and I think there were roughly 5 different cuts of steak. They were just sort of average with the one exception being the house specialty picanha. All cuts were extremely fatty though, something to keep in mind. I'd cut around the fat on just about every cut and avoid maybe 1/3 of whatever they gave me. None of the meat was of great quality. They also brought around two types of lamb, two or three types of chicken, and two types of pork. The lamb was probably the best cooked of the meats while the pork tenderloin was my favorite meat of the night. It was cooked with some parmesan cheese and actually had great flavor. It's the only meat for which I asked for seconds. Dessert was included in the restaurant week deal so I had the caramel cheesecake. It was pretty good, but tasted very generic as if they'd bought it from some store or outsourced it and just left it around the freezer instead of making it in-house. Not bad, but not worth paying for.

I came here on Friday for my sister's rehearsal dinner and we were in the back room. there were probably about 25 in our party. We had 2 waiters in our area taking care of us and they did a great job taking care of everyone. You definitely have to come here hungry since it's all you can eat meat with sides and salad bar. The bacon wrapped filet was my favorite meat of the night. This restaurant also has a great location being right across the street from Fountain Square.

I dined here on Easter Sunday with several of my girlfriends. The food and service were good and we had a great time. That said, since that date all four of us that used credit cards for our payment have had our cards flagged for fraudulent charges. The card numbers were copied and used by someone. Too much of a coincidence since two of us rarely use those cards. We all called the restaurant and were told of similar complaints... But the manager said "good thing your credit card company will cover you, so no big deal." What about the time and hassle of changing cards, disputing charges, etc.!? They referred us to "corporate" and they did nothing. Don't go here...the food is NOT worth the hassle to come. Plus, they clearly condone and cover for shady employees.

Try the caprahinas, they are amazing!! The cheesy bread is a warm, amazing, bite-sized vice. I could eat an entire tub of these by myself. The dinner is also good, but I always feel like my stomach is not big enough to take full advantage of the delicious meats and buffet bar. It is nice, but I would not recommend it for date night ( you will be too full to do anything after...). A lot of people seem to be here on business diners and the dining room dress code is pretty formal. The bar has really good happy hour specials and the bartenders are very skilled.

We went on the recommendation of our hotel clerk. We arrived at 6pm and was promptly seated. No menu, we were told it was a buffet style eatery and they explained the meat cards. It seem interesting to us, so we stayed. We went to visit the buffet and gathered a plate of sides and then started awaiting for the meat on skewers to wander around. At first it was allot of fun. We had a blast trying new meats and they all tasted fine. Then our glasses emptied and there we sat. No waiter. No refills. We sat for twenty-seven minutes. No one stopped by to offer us our dessert (since it was included in the $50 per person price tag). No one stopped to offer us another alcoholic beverage since that is what we ordered with our meals. No one stopped to refill our glasses of water. Nothing. Finally, a waiter made eye contact with me, mainly because I stared him down and was about to wave my hand at it and I said, no one has stopped by to check on us and 20 minutes ago we would have loved our glasses refilled. He apologized and said he get the manager on duty. The manager on duty, Brad arrived with our check in his hand and said, "you want your check?" I explained word for word what I told the waiter. Brad handed us our check and walked off. No apology, no asking if we'd like a to go dessert (since I overheard the waiter serving the couple behind us that the dessert is the only thing that can be boxed up. He said NOTHING! I was contacting our driver asking for a pick up and Brad returned. He told my husband that he was sorry, they just got so busy and offered us two complimentary appetizers should we ever decide to try them again. If I hadn't been on the phone with our driver I would have lost what good manners I had been taught and let Brad know that his lack of skills shows through in his very poor staff. He may have said, we just got so busy, what I heard was, we have other customers so you're not of any significance. One trip to the buffet, a small portion of rib-eye, filet mignon, sausage and chicken wrapped in bacon, no dessert and two drinks $124 for two people. A letter to corporate will follow this review and I will post their response.

you will have 3 or 4 waiters and receive any cut of meat when ever you want, as much as you want, at the flick of your red light green light table card. Try the Brazilian Xenga beer. and there is a salad and hot bar with item ranging from smoked salmon to portobello gravy for Brazilian rice. very pricey $45 to$50 per person. worth trying at least once. we were very satisfied

This place is amazing. The food is great and it is all you can eat. There are so many meats for you to try there is something for everyone and they bring the meat right to the table. The salad bar is also amazing. The mixed drinks are great and so is the beer and alcohol selection. For the price it is worth it for what you get. The setting is gorgeous, make sure to get a little dressy!

Expensive, but worth the treat for a special occasion. It's basically a meat and sides buffet with the sides being self serve and gauchos that walk around with different styles of meat. My favorite meats are the top sirloin and the filet. They also have pork, chicken, and lamb options - all good! The sides are all somewhat to be desired, but no one really goes there for the side dishes! I always leave stuffed beyond capacity.

Please don't let this place deter you from other Brazilian Steakhouses. With that being said, here goes my review. We took my son there for his birthday because I took him to a Texas De Brazil in Las Vegas earlier this summer while on vacation and he LOVED it. They are offering a promotion to buy a $50 for $25 as well. The initial waiter asked if we had gift cards immediately and we showed them to him. He took them to his manage and came back and said they were good. He wanted to check because they were offering a special price if $38.99 this week instead of the normal $48.99. The salad bar was mediocre compared to the other one I had went to. The only thing really decent was the smoked salmon. I was unimpressed. The cuts of meat were not as flavorful, especially the lamb chops, which tasted like gyro meat. The service was great, you never are lacking for the meat, except for the filet which we had to ask twice for them to bring. The bacon wrapped chicken was the best thing I had. Time for desert, the waiter told us it was included and all 7 at our table ordered. Their deserts were decent, I went with the creme brûlée. I give it a B-. Time for the bill, the waiter hands it to me and said that in order to use the gift cards, he would have to charge us full price, thus negating all the savings advertised in their promotion, and we were charged over $50 for the deserts. I would have been happier going to graeters instead. Due to the false information given and the mid quality if the food, I will never go back. I could have spent a little more and experienced the amazing Jeff Ruby experience. But I will advise you if you ever come across a Texas De Brazil (they are a chain) to never hesitate to eat there. It is truly amazing and in an entire different league!!!!!!

Boi Na Braza has a strong reputation in Cincinnati, but unfortunately, I'm not so sure it lives up. The meat at this place is really good, better than your average. But if you're a normal human, you're probably not going to eat $50 worth. That's really the main problem with this restaurant, the price doesn't totally meet expectations. The meat is good, but not 'prime' cuts. The buffet is ok, but not amazing-- lots of the food on the buffet tasted kind of generic. The service was good, lots of rounds of meat, and a good waiter, but nothing over the top. It was a good experience, but your money would go a lot further at lots of other Cincinnati restaurants.

We enjoyed a Saturday evening supper for four after a long conference week. I had never had Brazilian style but it was exciting. The yes/no chips let us pace the supper so we had plenty of time for chatting in between having the gentlemen come to the table. The salad bar was full and well organized. Selections ranged from prosciutto to smoked salmon to various salads and cheeses. Best bets on the meats: the filet in bacon and the sirloin. Wine list was comprehensive.

I like to go during restaurant week when the price is lowered anywhere from $10-$15 dollars a guest. I receive excellent service anytime I come here, and enjoy the large soup/salad/side bar that you start out with. My fiancé likes to get the bar only, because she is not the biggest fan of meat, and the bar is so big you can make quite a meal from it. The selection of meats are amazing, and the gentleman that bring It to you do a good job of asking whether you want rare, well done etc. I try sometimes to make it through every cut of meat, but its hard. The price you pay is for the quality cuts of meat you receive as well as the fine dining experience. It can get pricy if you stray from what is included in the meal. Desert is included by the way. I will return anytime I want to impress an out of town guest or someone looking for a great steak.

Steak lovers unite at Cincinnati's Brazilian steak house in downtown Cincinnati. This place features everything that you would expect at a Brazilian steak house - full salad bar, approximately 15-20 cuts of meat, a full dessert tray, etc. Our favorite meats are always the center cut wrapped in bacon, the house special, and the top sirloin. From the salad bar, be sure to try the cheeses and and the cheesy broccoli. If you make a reservation, you can expect to be seated on time. The only downside is the price....$49.95 per person for the meal alone. While the food is good, this is a bit on the high end for our casual dinners. We only go here to celebrate special occasions (like Jim's birthday). You might be able to save a bit of money by going to Cincysavers.com and looking for a $25 for $50 coupon. This will need to be purchased in advance and the coupon is mailed to your home.

My rating would really be more of a 4.5 if I could. The service was fantastic. The waitstaff was very attentive and seemed to work like a well oiled machine. The buffet portion of the meal was fantastic. Enjoyed the different salads and cheeses as well as the variety of side dishes. Never had to wait long for meat to be brought to the table. The meat selections were great and a variety was available. I can't remember them all, but the prime rib was my favorite. Was a bit pricey, but may have been our fault as we thought dessert was included in the price as it had been at other Brazilian steak houses we had been to. Our bill was around $120 for 2 dinner courses, 2 beers, 2 desserts, and 2 cappucinos. The atmosphere was very nice. Upscale without the attitude. We will go back, but maybe only for special occasions due to price.

I went here about a month ago with my boyfriend. Let me tell you... It was fantastic! You start off with drinks and the server has you go to the buffet where you can get salads, sides, and breads. You bring your food back to the table and chow down. You have a card on your table that has a red and green side. Flip your card to show green, and that means your open to eat meat. I recommend keeping it flipped to green the whole time you're there until you're ready to pay out so you don't miss out on the meats. Servers will come with skewers of meats and ask you if you'd like to try what they have to offer. If yes, they'll cut you off a piece and stick it on your plate. If no, they'll leave. This is constant. Each time there is a new meat; this is why I suggest keeping the card green so you don't miss out :) The buffet and meat is limitless. Go as much as you want! I suggest not eating for a few days so that you may stuff your belly up ;). They'll even offer you dessert. This place is pretty pricey, but it's casual. I saw people wearing graphic tees from American Eagle and flip flops, so you're probably not under or overdressed. The service is fantastic and is top notch. Now you can flip your card to the red side ;) I'll be coming back and recommending to friends!

I would like to give Boi Noi Braza a 3.5. Each of the meat choices tasted delicious. The service was attentive and swift. There were several points during the meal that my date and I were opposite on the card flip, one of us ready for another helping and the other not. However, we were served seamlessly, neither of us being interrupted when it wasn't requested. The atmosphere is very nice, great seating and decor. What we found less impressive are similar to what the other yelpers mentioned. Having to pay for a soft drink by the bottle is absolutely ridiculous for a restaurant by this. I expect that when I order Chinese take out, not when I'm paying $50/plate. The buffet is disappointing as well, everything tasted generic and slow to be refilled. The desserts looked terrible, so we didn't try them. All in all, if someone else wanted to experience it, I would go back, but it wouldn't be on my suggestion.

Horrible service. Crazy expensive. Argumentative staff. Their corporate office doesn't care about the poor experience- offered a pittance of reimbursement to make up for their incompetent staff's behavior.

Mmm...meat! I think Boi Na Braza should start offering wheelchairs after you eat to help roll you out of the place from being so stuffed! I could barely walk! Realistically though, the food is delicious. I would say my favorite meats of the night were the ribeye, pork rib, and the parmesan pork loin. Seriously. Make sure you try those while you're there! Additionally, the side item selection they have at the bar is fantastic, and you have to eat the heart of palm while you're there! It's a special delicacy from Brazil! For Cincinnati, Boi Na Braza is pretty legit. The food is great and the staff is excellent. I would also be sure to cancel any plans for the hour after eating. You might not be able to move.

Every meal here ends the same way: elbows on the table, heavy breathing, and eyes glazing over in ecstasy. Boi Na Braza translates to "steer over embers" in Portuguese, the language of Brazil. The restaurant is based on the churrasco cooking of Brazilian Gaúchos who roasted meat on skewers over an ember fire pit. Families would gather for dinner, and Gaúchos would cut the meat from the skewers Rodízio style, meaning around the table, until the meat was finished. My friends and I came during Restaurant Week where the normal $50.00 per person meal was discounted to $35.00. We definitely ate our money's worth. The meal starts with a basket of cheese bread and a basket of fried bananas, both of which were delectable. For drinks, we each had the house specialty: a Caipirinha, which is the national cocktail for Brazil. Made with rum, sugar, and lime, it tastes like a Mojito without the mint. Served in a lowball glass, this 8-ounce drink came with a $10.00 price tag. Next, head over to the salad bar which features artisan meats and cheeses, hot sides, and the traditional salad greenery. Don't fill up at the salad bar. If you see something you must try, take a small, tablespoon-sized dollop instead of the whole serving spoon. My favorites included the shitake mushrooms and the white cheddar broccoli. Finally - bring on the meat! Flip the paper coaster next to your plate over to green to cue the Gaúchos. Very quickly, you will be surrounded by servers slicing off meat from skewers. Fifteen cuts of meat are served throughout the meal including beef, chicken, lamb, and pork. You have the option to say "no thank you" if you want to wait for a different meat. Finished gorging? Just flip your coaster over to the red side and the Gaúchos will let you be... until you flip it back to green again. The house specialty Picanha (tender top sirloin cut), Filet Mignon, and Garlic Rumproast are my top picks, each juicy, flavorful, and cooked with the right amount of pink. Pass on the bacon wrapped foods, they're overkill. Speaking of, each slice of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. By the end of the meal, one can easily can consume about 12 portions. How so? Boi Na Braza is competitive eating against two tough rivals: your stomach versus your brain. The goal: how much meat can you stuff in your face before your brain realizes you're full. The answer: a lot. As you feel the pending doom of the "meat sweats," a server will approach with a dessert cart. Suddenly, somewhere under all that beef, you find room for a slice of cake. I opted for the Key Lime Pie, which was light, creamy, and a wonderful digestive after such a hefty meal. Other options included a fudge mousse cake and a chocolate caramel cheesecake. Boi Na Braza is definitely a special occasion restaurant, but you can often find a good deal through special events or Groupon. Come hungry and prepare to be rolled out the door after your gigantic meal. Restaurant Week Price + Drink + Gratuity: $56.00 per person TIPS: - Don't order soda. It's served by the bottle and you are charged for each. You'll be thirsty from all the salty meat. Drink water instead. - Check the bill for an included 18% gratuity. Our table had it automatically added with only four people. - The latest reservation time for ideal meat selection is 8:30pm. The Gaúchos seem less active after 9:15pm. - It's a nice restaurant, so be sure to dress up. You also eat a lot, so be sure to wear something forgiving. Ladies, a maxi dress is your best friend.

I went here for dinner last night, and I was nothing short of amazed. On a Tuesday night at 7:00, we were able to be seated immediately by a window with a great view of Fountain Square. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. The one shortfall for me was in the selection of beers, but they do have several Brazilian imports I'd recommend you try. The salad bar is massive, with many different options for salad toppings and sides. The meats that they bring to your table were mouth-watering delicious. Everything they brought by was cooked to perfection with spices that complimented the meats well. After dinner, the dessert options were all tempting, but the Key Lime Pie won me over and was almost as good as what I had down in the Keys. I'd also highly recommend the coffee/Kahlua to enjoy with whatever choice you make. It is a little on the pricey side, but the atmosphere, staff, and meal made it more than worth it. If you're looking for a nice restaurant to check out, put Boi Na Braza at the top of your list!

This was my first experience with a Brazilian steakhouse, and objectively it was great, but I'm more of a sides person than a meat person, so this place just isn't going to appeal to me as much as it might to someone else (like my boyfriend, who was in heaven the whole time we were there). Check reviews from Alex S and Larry N to get an idea of how this place works. I'll just say that service was great, and the ambiance was nice. On a very bright sunny Friday night, there was a mix of casual and dressed up people, but I would guess that (for the price point) it trends fancier as the night gets later/darker. For me, the food highlights were the fried bananas (omg!), the fluffy cheesy bread, the top sirloin, the rump roast, the sausage, the mashed potatoes (hey, I liked them even though they seemed like fancy instant potatoes), the key lime pie, and the flan.

Arrived at Boi Na Braza with 6 others on a busy Saturday night. There was a good crowd there. We had reservations and were immediately greeted by the manager who showed us to our table. We started with polenta fries, cheese puffs, fried bananas, and the famous made-in-house empanadas. Fantastic! Next we hit the salad bar. Everyone found great options there... Especially the vegetarian in our group! For us carnivores, the choicest cuts of meat started coming out in mouth-watering waves of top sirloin, filet mignon, chicken, lamb, and pork. Am I forgetting anything? The food and service was "spot on"! Here's a tip: come hungry and pace yourself.

Le sigh. I wanted this place to be amazing. I really, really did. I wanted to give them an amazing review. Such will not be the case so I'll be brief. Good things: the meats are amazing and can't be beaten in my book. You'll be amazed at the variety and the overall tastiness. Also, it's a charming sort of atmosphere. Bad things: Everything else. The side dishes are obviously just frozen vegetables. The salads were horrible and everything was overpriced. I'm pretty sure they even charged me for water. I might be convinced to take a date her again, and if my job ever wanted to take me out, I might recommend Boi Na Braza. However, I don't think I'll ever eat there again.

Oh dear god, I think I'm still full ... I don't think I'll ever not be full again ... and yet, somehow, I want more! My god, I want more meat! (Please insert whatever joke you'd like here, I don't care. Meat! I must have more meat!) I only sort of knew the concept of Boi Na Braza before walking through the doors. Something about skewers and waiters and a red or green card? I don't know. But here is what I learned. This is a Brazilian steakhouse. The waiters dress in gauchos. Everything is mood-lit like crazy and you sit down at a comfortable table with a little red circle at your plate. There are three courses to your Boi Na Braza experience. The first is placed on your table: fried palenta, fried bananas and cheesy bread. Go light! Better is to come. The second course is the all-you-can-eat salad bar. If you're trying to build a typical salad, you're going to be somewhat out of luck (they do have your regular lettuce and tomatoes and such and some nice toppings but nothing that's going to blow you away.) However, the antipasti is really nice! Meats and fancy cheeses and whatnot. Delicious. But again ... I'd go light. The best is coming now. Whenever you are ready, flip that card on your table over and a red circle turns to a green circle. At this point, the waiters who have been walking around with swords full of meat will swarm to your table, asking if you'd like a cut. Yes, yes and more yes! Overall they have 15 different types of meats walking around, from tenderloin to rump roast to chicken to sausage to lamb to more! So much meat. They give you little tongs that you can pull the meat off after the waiter has cut it. And then you eat. Looking for sides? Back to the salad bar for typical sides. Some are fantastic (like the shitake mushrooms in a dark sauce.) Some are not (like the disappointing almost-from-a-can mashed potatoes.) Still, a fantastic addition to the piles of meat you have collected. All of that is about $45 a person. Expensive, but absolutely worth it. Can eat some more? They have a dessert cart wandering around which can be called to your table. We shared a creme brulee, which was amazing, and a flan, which was actually disappointing (too much egg, not enough sweet.) But ah well, still delicious. I also had a fantastic Brazllian beer that I loved so much, I ordered a second - and I rarely order a second beer at dinner. Not my style. Tonight though, I was all about it. Wow! What an expereince. I know it's a chain but it's a chain that blew me away due to never having anything like it before. Boi na badass.

I don't mind forking out money for fine and dining restaurant, but I will never come back to this place. We spend $150.00 dollars Salad buffett with meal and a $30.00 bottle of wine. The food was horrible. The salad buffett was messy and didn't refill the stations quick enough. There was so much fat on the meats, that my husband had a pile of fat on the side of plate and when we showed the manager, he did not do nothing about it. Also the meat was not tender, it was hard.

We went during Restaurant Week with friends, expecting a pleasant experience. Were we ever wrong. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. From there it went completely downhill. Our server acted as though we barely existed; he was inattentive, indifferent, and acted as though he was preoccupied with other things. We were never asked if we wanted dessert, which came with our three-course meal, and after waiting for a long time to find him, he whizzed past our table and we had to yell to him to ask for our check. As for the food, it was nothing to write home about. The salad bar had so-so items that can be found on most salad bars. The floors around the salad bar were sticky from food having been dropped. The meats were dry and fairly tasteless. The worst experience of the evening was when a bus boy cleared my salad plate, pulling the plate away so quickly that beet juice on the plate flew all over the tablecloth, barely missing my white blouse. The white tablecloth had big blobs of beet juice and the server and bus boy threw a black napkin over the mess, after which the bus boy simply threw my dirty utensils back on the table and walked away. When the bill came we could not decipher the charges. It appears that they added a 'service charge', which we interpreted as an 18% tip, with a line for an 'additional tip'. with no explanation whatsoever. Our server really didn't warrant much of a tip and this charge was not in keeping with the tip we had planned to leave. We do not plan to return to this restaurant. it was an insult to our group. For a city with so many good restaurants, Boi Na Braza is not one of them.

Had dinner here with a large group recently which is the only way I would probably go to a place like this. The novelty has somewhat worn off for me and I just don't gorge myself on meat the way I used to. The salad bar was large and had a number of hot and cold salad options. The selection of meats was good. I saw some other posts that suggested waiting until later passings because the "better selections come later." We did not find that to be the case, and in fact filet and prime rib were nearly the first thing to come out of the kitchen, while sausage and chicken were near the end. It was all good what you would expect.

So full. Bring on the animal protein. The meats are great. They will try to give you the cheap stuff first (a standard tactic of all buffets). It will be hard to take it easy on the mouth-watering salad bar. It will be hard to say no to pork chops, bacon wrapped chicken breast, and chopped beef. You can do it. Go for the beef rump and tenderloin. Worth the wait. Then, you won't want to stop. It's so good, but it's so much food. And yet you keep eating. Do keep in mind that this is about $55/head. Bottom Line: I'll be back when I'm not full any more. In like a week.

Nom Nom Nom. This was my first experience with a Brazilian steakhouse and I am in love. This is a protein lover's heaven. The bacon wrapped filet Mignon...there are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the flavor and tenderness of this piece. I am a weight loss surgery person and very sensitive to textures of meat. Anything too dry or tough simply wont go down. The rib-eye was awesome if not slightly bland but that bacon wrapped filet Mignon!!! Sweet baby jebus.!! The chicken was nice and garlic pork (i think). The salad bar was nice but not my focus. The desserts and coffee were also good I loved the atmosphere but it was the service that was incredible. You really have to remember to keep up with your card because its easy to get overwhelmed. They are really on you like white on rice... refilling your glass and bringing you more and more food. You have to stop and say okay...enough...let me rest...or at least finish one bite. I wish I could afford to eat here every week but for something nice and damn near decadent. This is the place. I can't wait to go back.

Boi Na Braza is your standard Brazilian steakhouse- it's a meat lover's paradise (the rest of us will want to die of meat overdose). The salad bar is great, but don't fill up on it if you intend to try all the meats. I'm not a meat expert, by any means, but my favorites here included the sirloin, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, and the prime rib. Let's be real here- the reason you come here is to gorge on meat that comes out served on swords, and that is exactly what you get to do here. Added bonus- delicious desserts. I can only do this once a year (we always do restaurant week because the price is great). It's pricey, so you will want to do the mental calculus on whether you will feel that you can eat your money's worth.

I have eaten in about every churrascaria in the US, from Plataforma in NY, to nearly every Texas De Brazil and Fogo De Chao across the states and Boi Na Braza is one of the best. Boi Na is right up there with Plataforma. The quality of the pan de queso, the meats and cheeses at the salad bar, the quality of their sirloin and picanha are excellent! They even make fresh farofa, most other churrascarias serve a dry pre-prepared farofa. I have eaten there twice now and both meals were great. The service is good and the atmosphere is elegant and romantic. This one is defineitely a Cincy keeper.

This was my second experience at a Brazilian steakhouse, the first being Fogo de Chao in Beverly Hills, CA., which I would rate higher than Boi Na Braza. At Boi Na Braza we started with the Brazilian Cheesy bread, fried bananas (yum) and polenta. All nice to sample. The salad bar was nice, but I didn't want to fill up on salad and sides. Unlike Fogo de Chao, at BNB you can get your sides off the salad bar. I loved the Brazilian rice and topped it with marinated Shitake mushrooms. I could have made a meal out of just that! The cheese selections were nice as well. I saw lots of other great looking items, but didn't want to fill up on these so I just sampled a few. Was a little disappointed they didn't have more than one soup selection. Fogo de Chao had a lobster bisque that was amazing! Then came the main course(s). First to come was the lamb, which everyone said was too tough. What I like is each server had options of done-ness on one skewer. I tried the specialty steak which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My faves were the bacon wrapped chicken and bacon wrapped fillet. The bottom cut sirloin was very good as well. The grilling was very good. The Parmesan crusted pork smelled amazing but was a little over done and heavy. Sausages were heavy as well...a bit on the greasy side. A bit disappointed they don't offer any seafood...at least an occasional skewer of shrimp or scallops. I don't go to downtown cincy much. It was bustling with activity and we walked over to Fountain Square for a few minutes to watch the skaters. Downtown is much improved over the past! Gone is the 'roll up the sidewalks' atmosphere I remember. Very nice! We'll come back. Finished the evening with coffee drinks at Blind Lemon on Mt Adams. All in all...a great evening!

11/11/11 went there with 140 business associates. Good salad bar, nice sides, the meat was outstanding. We had the filet, lamb, rump roast, sausage, chicken. I have not eaten stuff so tender in a long time. Staff was more than adequate for a function this large. Do recommend going light on the non essential stuff

I just wish I had an extra stomach. You pay a lot, and can get an endless amount of different meats, not to mention all the yummy stuff at the salad bar. And I was very satisfied with the staff. Location is excellent - feels very hip. When I'm looking to gorge, and want to feel like treating myself and my date - this is the place. But I could never make it a regular spot - I just don't want to consume that much red meat.

I've been curious to try the whole "churrascaria" (AKA Brazilian Steakhouse) concept for a while and Downtown Cincinnati Restaurant Week afforded me the perfect opportunity...unlimited salad bar, 10 meats, and dessert for $35 per person. I assumed this was a pretty formal place and we dressed accordingly, so I was surprised to see (as another reviewer pointed out) some people in shorts, t-shirts, and other inappropriate dress. In any case, the interior is pretty grand--lots of contrasting wood paneling, some natural stone, etc. I think the concept has been pretty well explained by other reviewers, but, in a nutshell--you have access to the salad "island" (this is no mere bar, my friends), turn your card to green to bring the guys with the meat skewers over, and pretty much gorge yourself. The salad selection had some interesting, if out of place, options (what's tabouli doing in a Brazilian place?), and I wished for a few more hot veggie side options (the only one was a cheese-covered broccoli dish). But really, that's just the warm-up to the meat, so don't fill up there! There were 10 meat options that night (at least for the RW special) and while the servers were plentiful and efficient, there seemed to be rather uneven coverage (for example, we got bacon-wrapped chicken several times, but literally had to request the fillet guy to come over). The beef options (top & bottom sirloin, bacon-wrapped fillet, and the house-special roast) all had pretty good flavor, but you could really specify the done-ness so most of it was overcooked for my tastes (ran to medium-well for the most part). I tried requesting an inside cut for a less-done piece, but the guy either didn't understand me or just ignored me. It seems to be much more about the quantity than the quality here in my opinion. The one chicken option I tried wasn't very good at all--a dark meat leg section with a fatty layer of skin. I don't eat pork or lamb, so I had to keep awkwardly refusing those servers to wait out the beef or chicken ones. We didn't get our little starter plate until the end of our meal because they were apparently forgotten and we didn't know to ask for them--glad they eventually showed up because it was all delicious: little cheese rolls, fried bananas, and fried polenta sticks. Dessert was actually a high point with key lime pie that was tart and creamy with a great graham cracker crust. I felt like it was a pretty good deal for the special price, but there's no way I would ever pay full price to go there. I think I'd rather just have one steak, but have it exactly the way I want it!

Yelp sent me a reminder email for my reservation and I'm so glad they did, as I made them months ago. The restaurant was fantastic. The staff was very generous and attentive. The food is fantastic and I would definitely go there again.

This is definitely a special occasions place. You don't generally lay down $50 on 5 pounds of meat on a Tuesday night... Or maybe you do, I don't. We have celebrated 2 of my husband's birthdays here and would recommend it again and again! Not only is the food great, it really is a fun experience! Having huge skewers of meat wandering past you and all you have to do is tip your finger to get all you want is just entertaining. You want to shout "I'm the king (queen) or the world!" You go here for the meat, but actually the salad bar is equally awesome. Soups, salads, sides, bread, cheese... all to your hearts desire. My grandmother actually just gets the salad bar and no meat- an option that is definitely overpriced, but definitely good for the vegetarians in your life. Service is ridiculous fantastic. Drinks are overpriced, but that is to be expected. Deserts... why do you have room for desert after all that meat? Atmosphere is upbeat, not really a romantic date spot. Parking- easiest place would be in the fountain square garage... or leave the car at home and walk home to burn some of the 5000 calories you just ingested. If I am going to pay $50 a person for a meal (without drinks), I want to be so full that I am about to puke. Boi Na Braza delivers that!

I had dinner with my two son this last Saturday and we were unimpressed. I had made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, we arrived right on time but still had to wait for more than a half hour for a table. We were seated in the front room nestled in a corner by the window and the fireplace which seemed like a nice location except that we got ignored for most of the evening. We did manage to get one cocktail but were never asked for another. The people at the table next to us finally had to ask the manager for the meat to come to their table as neither their table or ours had seen any of the servers since we were seated 40 minutes before. When the servers came to their table most looked over at us and came to us too but some totally ignored us. We did not have half the types of meat circulate around us during the entire meal. When we finally gave up the ghost and were asked if we wanted dessert, I asked only for another order of the little cheese rolls, which were the hit of the dinner, it took 20 minutes and the manager coming over twice to get them. My boys love Brazilian steak houses but this one we all agreed did not need to be visited again.

This is not your normal steak house. This is a "pull out the nice china because the boss is coming over for dinner" kind of steakhouse. The place can seem a little over the top and pricy, but in the end you WILL get what you paid for. Its a pretty simple restaurant concept, for about 45 bucks you get access to their salad bar (which also has hot sides), and all the meat you can eat. Drinks and desert are extra, but are fairly priced for the most part. I started my meal with a selection for their antipasti section of the salad bar. Prosciutto, Sun-dried tomatoes and pepper, fresh asparagus, different kinds of cheese, artichoke hearts just to name a few. It was a great way to start off the meal. I also enjoyed a Brazilian beer during my meal. The meat was the main event I was waiting for all night. Heres the basic idea: They cook all their meats in the "Churrasco" tradition, meaning a large cut of meat cooked over open coals and then severed in an all-you-can-eat fashion. Their house specially Picanha ( juicy top sirloin cut) is to die for. Not all of their meats where home-runs though. For example, their garlic beef and their lamb was a real let down ( i love lamb). Their deserts where what you would expect, cheesecake, creme brûlée, a really eggy flan that was under-sweetend (thats the one i got). Be sure to dress up and leave the kids with the babysitter., and enjoy a night of food, fun, and gluttony.

Quantity over quality is the name of the game. The location is great and the decor is spot on, but unfortunately the cuisine is not...I'd call it sub-par. The cuts were not high quality and not properly seasoned, if seasoned at all. A great friend of mine's wife is from Brazil...Just moved to the states a year ago -- we took them to Boi Na Braza to welcome her to the city. She agreed that the establishment is not all that authentic, and would not be up to Brazilian standards. I will say though, the salad bar is quite nice and it is a very beautiful restaurant...the food just needs to stand out a bit more and be the star of the show...not the decor.

Boi Na Braza turned out to be a wonderful choice for an anniversary dinner. We made reservations but it didn't look like we needed them - we arrive 40 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away. The interior lives up to the expectations one might have for a restaurant on fountain square. It was beautiful! The salad bar was nicely presented and offered some great side choices to accompany the meat. Our favorite were the shitake mushrooms. I skipped most of the salad-type "stuff" to leave room for the most important thing - lots of different meats! Being a Saturday night, our waiter said there were 14 different types of meats available. I noticed a lot of beef options and few pork options which was fine with me. The ribeye, bacon-wrapped filet, and prime rib were all so delicious that the price of the meal was worth those 3 cuts along. We also tried some chicken, lamb, and pork and everything was top-notch. Service at this place is as good as it gets. The meat carvers were prompt when the cards were flipped to green and sometimes asked even if the cards were red just because they were nearby with fresh skewers. Our water glasses never went below half full and everyone was very attentive without being overbearing. It's definitely worth a try if you are looking for a unique, upscale place to eat and you are a meat lover.

Boi Na Braza loosely translated mean - hellagood amount of meat!!! That is what I came for and I was not disappointed. Classy decor, high quality food, unlimited meat...what's not to like? Some of the previous reviewers were concerned about the service..having to get your own plate..not a great salad bar..etc. WTF? First of all, who goes to a Brazilian Steakhouse for the salad bar? Second of all, the salad bar was fine and the real purpose of it is so that you can get a plate and put your own side dishes and fixin's for the steak on it! Plus I needed a little getting up and walking around to help digest the meat I was chomping down! As far as the meat, we went during restaurant week, which equaled a reduced price for the experience :) and a slightly reduced menu :(. We were offered 8 or 10 different meats plus a choice of 3 or 4 desserts included in the price. I told the guys offering me chicken to stay the F*** away and bring only 4 legged animals my way! To that end I had garlic coated meat, house special (rump roast), leg of lamb, top sirloin steak, pork ribs, fillet Mignon wrapped in bacon, and sausage. When I say I had them, I mean we ate for about an hour and I lost track of how much. It was all good, but the house special and the leg of lamb were memorable. The staff was friendly and bent over backwards to get you the cut of meat you wanted, cooked how you wanted it. Key Lime pie for dessert...delicious and then we chose to walk back to our hotel in Covington to aid in the digestion....good call. I will definitely go back when the full menu is available because I have heard great things about the lamb chops! Oh yea, the wine list was decent and reasonable. As far as the other complaints, I can't imagine taking a date here, unless she was a straight up carnivore! Go with the family for a special night of meat and meat and meat...you won't be disappointed!!

We were seated at a table placed seemingly right in the middle of the isle. The meats were good, but heavy and not particularly enjoyable to eat. I just wanted to get it over with. Maybe I'm too young to appreciate the 'finer things in life' but I don't think this is one of them. By the end, I wasn't impressed, I was exhausted and bored. The environment is similar to an Olive Garden. If you're under 50 years old, please go elsewhere for New Years Eve. Even if you're not necessarily looking for 'fun', just a classy experience, there are much better places. One redeeming quality is valet, which was really nice and for seven hours I was able to leave my car right on fountain sq. Seriously worth the $8.

We went here for a work holiday lunch. It was really delicious, but I'm not sure the decreased price is worth the trade off for decreased food. It's definitely better at dinner. That being said, when your waiter brings you your first basket of cheesy bread rolls, just ask for 5 more. Because you'll want them! I was surprised that the meats came in different temperatures, which was really nice. All of the meat was delicious, and the salad bar was good too. Desserts were high quality, though definitely not home made. Worth a trip -- but splurge and go for dinner!

I've been three times - it was never my idea until the third though. Maybe I'm becoming more carnivorous - and in large part, due to this place. The meat is outstanding. Mmm, meat! On my third trip, I think I perfected the art of eating here (i.e. not getting totally stuffed). This was our strategy: Skip the appetizers they put on your table. They're not that great and not why you're paying $$$. Skimp on, if not altogether skip, the salad bar. If you get anything off the salad bar, stick to veggies and/or salad. Avoid carbs, potatoes, heavy dishes. And drinks: stick to one. They're not that cheap, their cocktail list is lacking, and again, you're there for the meat! Mmm, meat! When the servers begin to bring swords of meat out to you, you will find out quickly what you like. Our faves have been the following: House Special Rump Roast, Chicken Breast, and Sausage. We stick with those. Service is always excellent, and the experience is totally fun.

We went for lunch. Surprisingly bad. Maybe I have a lower tolerance to salt than most, but come on! The sausage was so salty as to be inedible. The steak offerings tasted like liver. Salty liver. Very mealy and unpleasant. Chicken was rubbery (and... FREAKING SALTY) The salad bar was meager. Interestingly, my favorite part of the meal was the burrito like dish on the salad bar. That and the cheese bread. $22 lesson learned.

Possibly the greatest meal I've ever had. Went on a Friday at about 6pm, and was able to walk in wearing just jeans and a sweater. It may be dressier at other times of the evening, but it wasn't then. Others have covered the style of the restaurant, so I'll focus on two things: the salad bar and the service. The salad bar included about fifty items, both cold and hot, veggies, cheeses, meats and starches, more than enough for a full meal on its own. And it was continually stocked, I got three helpings of mashed potatoes, and the buffet serving dish had been completely refilled each time, although it was early enough in the evening that the restaurant wasn't busy yet. The staff were buzzing around like bees all evening, and they were incredibly attentive. I don't believe my water glass was ever empty for longer than 30 seconds before someone swooped in to refill it. It was the same with the meat skewers, which were delicious. It was almost--but not quite--an imposition with how attentive they were. If you've ever seen a tennis match and noticed the kids who scurry on court to grab dead balls between serves, it felt kind of like that. That was how attentive they were at Boi Na Braza. But don't let anyone kid you. It was insanely expensive. But if you're planning to spend a decadent evening where money is no object, then I cannot recommend Boi Na Braza highly enough.

I had heard many good things about Boi Na Braza so I was excited to check out the restaurant during the Do Downtown event. Unsurprisingly, Boi had the biggest crowd out of all of the participating restaurants that evening. We got in line for the tasting item, a potato dumpling stuffed with cheese and meat and served with an insanely hot Brazilian hot sauce, and were immediately greeted by a Gaucho server in full dress. He offered us Caipirinhas, traditional Brazilian drinks made with rum, sprite, and mint. We accepted the offer (the drinks were $6 each) and slugged them down before we even got through the line. You must get one if you visit Boi Na! I am completely unfamiliar with the style of restaurant that Boi Na Braza is so I was pleased to have the opportunity to experience a bit of the dining experience on Friday. Representatives from the restaurant explained the idea to us. Basically, diners pay a set price to receive unlimited top quality meats, sides, and salad bar (the salad bar was at least 20x20, I've never seen a bigger one!). We got to read the meat list for that evening and it featured the likes of lamb, filet mignon, chicken legs, and pork. I would definitely save Boi Na Braza for a very special occasion as the price per head is $79, plus the cost of drinks and tip. I will definitely be back to sample the food fully, though!

This is the fifth Brazilian steakhouse I have been to. As a Brazilian steakhouse, Boi is very mediocre in my opinion. I felt that all but one of the others were superior. However, if you have never been to this type of restaurant, it is still very much worth trying...but only if you are a meat lover. Pluses - The restaurant is very nice inside and the wait staff made an effort to accommodate special requests. Minuses - Quality of the meat and variety were below par for this type of restaurant. I also felt that the salad bar (again, compared to other Brazilian steakhouses) had unremarkable choices and little creativity. It appears that the restaurant is very cost-conscious instead of being value driven. Still, it was a good experience.

Everything was extraordinary! The meats seasoned beautifully, the limeades were out of this world, & the service was impeccable! I honestly am so full as I am writing this 6 hours later. If you're on the fence about going, go!

The steak was very tender and juicy, but only enough for four stars. It has plenty of steak for you meat lovers. The rest of the food seemed confused, but tasty. I like the laid back cozy dining atmosphere, but wish they had more for the vegetable side of the house. If you like steak, you will enjoy this place. Just don't expect much more than great meat.

I have to say the food quality is great especially when considering that it's a buffet. The salads are fresh, the cheese are great and the most of the meats are juicy and tender. But i can't imagine this restaurant to be different from other Brazilian steakhouse.

Was good. Not worth the money, but good. I've had people telling me about this place for a year or two now, so the wife and I decided to go give it a shot finally. We had an 8:30 reservation, and they were able to squeeze us in at 7:30 when we were super early (hadn't eaten all day in anticipation of chowing down on tons of awesome food). So they take us to a table, and the waiter asks in a heavy Brazilian accent "have you been here before?" We say "no", and he briefly explains the process. However I only picked up maybe a 1/3rd of what he said due to the heavy accent. Oh well, but I got the gist. Flip your piece of paper to red, they stop bringing food. Green, more meat. Salad bar is included So here's where it got weird. We sit there for like 10 minutes, and they never bring us plates for all the wonderful looking meats the waiters are carrying around. Finally I decide to go get a salad. I come back from the salad bar, and realize, thats how you get your plate! Either you have to go get your own empty plate, or they put the meat on the plate you ate your salad off of. Seriously? I'm paying $50 a person and I have to get my own plate to start out? And the salad bar was horribly disappointing. They had several side dishes like mashed potatoes, rice, black beans, etc. These were alright. A few cheeses, and then the salad. Except...not really. You had a choice of iceberg lettuce or what was labeled "ceaser salad" except it was just diced romaine. The only toppings were beets, bacon and tomatoes. Frischs has a better salad bar than this. Furthermore, the salad bar was arranged in a triangle, with each side being "Sides", "cheese" or "salad", except there was no correct way to go around it. So i'd go clockwise, and other people would decide to go counter-clockwise, so I'd turn and go their direction, only to have another person do the same thing I just did! Come on guys, put up a sign with an arrow so everyone goes the same direction. Now, the meat was amazing! It was tastey, juicy, and everything I thought it would be. Salt sensitive people, beware! They have to be brine bathing all the meat, I could feel my fingers swelling up as I ate it, but I didn't care because of how good it was! Everything from bacon wrapped filet mignon, to ribs, and parmesean crusted pork. It was great! Another point of contention...we had no idea who our waiter was. There were guys bringing around meat, guys refilling our drinks, but I finally asked one of them for the bill, and they said they weren't a waiter. But who was?! Finally I spotted a guy in a maroon shirt who looked like a possibility, and in fact he was. But it was the first time I'd seen him. He asks if we'd like desert. "Sure, why not?", so they bring this large cart over to our table with different cakes and pies. I get a piece of key lime pie (amazing) and my wife got some triple chocolate cake thing. No prices were mentioned, so I assumed it was a safe bet it was included in the meal. Nope, a $6.50 charge for cake showed up our bill, but nothing for my pie. Odd. But it would have been nice if they'd mentioned it wasn't included, because I assumed for $50 it was. I mean, you go to Beni hana and the ice cream comes with the meal, right? All and all, it ended up being around $125 for the wife and I, with the cake and her 2 glasses of cheap wine. I left full and happy, but couldn't help think there were plenty of other restaurants I could have went to for half the price and eaten just as well. It was worth if for the curiosity of the waiters bringing the meats around, but that was about it. We most likely won't be going back.

Lunch is served Wednesday-Friday. Quick and Yummy! An upscale Golden Corral (and that is meant to be a compliment). Service is key for a good dining experience. Extremely friendly staff and with the buffet style dining it is great for a business lunch because it is quick in and out. But let's talk food. There are 3 courses, salad bar, meatfest and dessert. For starters there are fried bananas (not plantains), a melt in mouth roll and polenta fries. Then there is the salad bar, even though the salad bar includes tasty items such as lasagna, mash potatoes, tabbouleh, fresh baby Swiss cheese, and steamed asparagus don't fill up on it, cause meatfest is about to begin. They provide you with a stop and go card. During lunch 5 meats are paraded through the dining area. When you give the go by flipping your card to green, the waiter stops and cuts you a small piece of meat, these meats include a garlic roasted beef, lamb, prime rib, chicken thigh and sausage. The reason for the small portion is you can have as many helpings as you like of your favorite. The desserts were good. The atmosphere certainly provides the entertainment and the parade of meat gets the table talking about their favorites. I should mention the salad bar can be purchased alone without the meatfest option.

This place is goood, with an added o for good measure. If you like decadent salads, an endless supply and variety of quality meats, then this place is for you. although, I'd recommend coming really hungry as this place will fill you up quick if you turn your little coin over to green.

One of the best steak and chops experience. The meats were perfectly cooked, tasty, and just kept coming. I forgot about the red sign green sign protocol. This is my first time to a Brazilian steak place and it was pretty amazing. Had a variety of cuts of meats, such as, rib eye, rack of lamb, filet, skirt steak, pork sausage, some other big meat that was cooked to perfection. The sides/salad bar was pretty amazing. The mushrooms were amazing. After all that, i need a roto rooter session, but i had a piece of choclate moose cake that was the bomb! I ate the whole damn thing, after all that meat. Had to run 10 miles after that. It ws all good. Definetly worth a return trip.

For carnivores only. Don't overdo it at the (very good) salad bar. Other than the fillet (which was too overcooked for my taste), everything was great (especially the picanha). Loved the dessert (Papaya Cream), and the service was excellent.

This is a carnivores haven (vegetarian maybe). I enjoyed this place quite profoundly as I love meat, meat and more meat. The ambiance was nice with a semi-elegant feel. Well worth the price. It was quite an experience from the gauchos (brazilian servers) to the little octagonal card which determined how often my plate was replenished with a variety of the best meats. Very simple actually - one side of the card was green and the other red. Flip green - meat bombardment; Flip red - temporary respite from the next wave of.....u get the picture. One last piece of info - talk to the manager to receive a $10 off coupon before you dine. We were a party of 5 and each received one so it made the dining experience even better.

If you are a meat lover this is a great place, just plan ahead and do not eat much during the day and do only get a little bit from the salad bar, even though there are some very good items there. It is a nice treat, especially with a group of people. I gave my 6'5" newphew a gift certificate for here for his high school graduation and then another one for his birthday, because he loved it so much and it was one of the few nicer resturaunts where he could get enough to eat and even with him he learned after the first visit to eat every little during that day.

I am a very avid lover of meat - red meat, chicken, pork, fish, shellfish... I freaking love meat. It's awesome. That said. I expected so much, and yet got so little out of my experience at this Brasilian meat house. The service was moderate but the meat was brought out so quickly and run by our table so fast that you didn't really get a chance to experience or taste all that was to be offered. If you took the time to get up and actually go get salad or vegetables from the buffet, then you missed two rounds of meat by the time you returned. Overall, I did not feel the food was worth the price or the wait. The experience was interesting but also not worth the price of the food. I do not recommend this restaurant as I figure you can find better out in the world. Plus, I am fairly certain that this is a national chain - and I have a deep inner loathing for chain restaurants.

Meh! Not impressed. For some reason, the meats didn't do it for me. The flavor just seemed a little off. There were some unique items at the salad bar, but all in all, prob won't be coming back here again.

So now there's another one of these fancy schmancy Brazilian barbeque places in the cinci vincinity (the other one Amor is up in Mason) and i finally got to try it last night. The big big plus is that Boi Na Braza is downtown, right across the street from McCormick & Schmick's which makes it very convenient to get to either by walking or parking under the Westin for $1. The extra walk back to the office parking lot is MUCH needed after the meal. you'll see what i mean after the next few paragraphs. Like any other Brazilian bbq place, Boi Na Braza offers a prix fixe menu of $44.50/person that gives you the freedom to eat as much of the 16 cuts of meat available as you can plus unlimited trips to the hot & cold salad bar. Oh but wait, as if there wasn't enough food already, a trio of 'brazilian' appetizers is constantly refilled at the tables. This includes brazilian cheese bread (almost like a cheese popover), fried yucca, cinnamon sugar 'fried' bananas, and little meat empanadas. Drinks & desserts are additional. The salad bar was good with a variety of cold dishes, hot dishes (potatoes, black beans, rice, etc.), salads, cheeses and cold cuts. Most of these are vegetarian friendly so vegetarians can be more than satisfied with the salad bar and appetizers. I didn't try much here, but i've heard it's good (including my veggie friend). I saved room for the meat. Now in comparison, i do have to say that this wasn't the best meat i've had, but it was still good. My favorite cut is the Picanha (from sirloin) so that was good as usual. Beef rib was a little salty. The filet mignon (just plain, not with bacon) was overdone and tough. The lamb (both leg of and chop) didn't taste as fresh as it could have, but the Brazilian pork sausage was tasty. You win some you lose some. Like i mentioned before, they have 16 cuts of beef (including top sirloin, bottom sirloin, pork rib, chicken, etc. etc.), but i was saving room for dessert. On to desserts - They come out with, literally, a trolley cart full with turtle cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, flan, chocolate mousse cake, papaya cream, strawberry cream, creme brulee, and key lime pie. The papaya cream is the specialty: it's a papaya puree folded with vanilla ice cream and topped off with a splash of creme de cassis. Very smooth, light, and refreshing. Other desserts i stole a bite from included the flan - rich with caramel flavor with a nice firm texture and the chocolate mousse cake - cake was moist and paired well with the chocolate and opera mousse fillings. Get this - there was a whole other cart that was just was appertifs! For the location and the convenience and the experience and the dessert, it's worth trying (especially if it's on someone else's tab ). On your own? Maybe someone else has a different opinion =p Fogo de Chao is definitely better, and i think, *think*, i currently prefer Amor in Mason, but Boi Na Braza does have its benefits too.

My family loves Boi Na Braza as a very special treat. It is very expensive but we all enjoy the atmosphere. I am not a big meat eater so I go with the salad bar only option and thoroughly enjoy the salad bar. Incredible prepared salads, eclectic makings for green salads, smoked salmon, proscuitto, beans and rice, etc.... I would highly recommend this as a special treat for the holidays.

Massive mounts of red meat. The only brazalian steak place in the city. Don't take a vegatrian there unless you want them to starve

Vegans beware. That's all I can say about this place. If you haven't heard about Boi Na Braza, I'll give you a quick rundown. It is a Brazilian steak house, or what I believe is called a churrascaria. What it is known for is its ridiculous amount of meat that they serve. This place is best described by going through what a typical meal is like. As far as I'm aware, there is only one pricing option, and with it you get a comprehensive, unlimited "salad" bar and all-you-can-eat meat. Basically, after you are seated you head to the salad bar to start.....and its a pretty amazing spread. There are tons of salad options, exotic side dishes, veggies, potatoes. There are a variety of different ethnic foods represented. I really loved the marinated shitake mushrooms...mmmmm. But the salad bar is only the prelude to the real reason people head to Boi Na Braza. After you finish at the salad bar, its time for the meat. What makes Boi Na Braza unique is how you get the meat. Each person at the table has a little card that is red on one side and green on the other. When you flip to green, you will literally get bombarded by the servers who are walking around with the various cuts of meat they offer, and the slice the meat directly onto your plate. I believe there are 16 different types of meat- filet mignon, tenderloin, sausage, duck, beef ribs, rumproast, etc. As long as you keep your card on green, there will be servers offering to pile more meat on your plate. Flip it over to red, and the servers leave you alone for a while to enjoy the food. And the best part is the meat is awesome. High quality and prepared to near perfection. It is seriously a carnivores heaven. There are a few things that are worth mentioning. The first is how they price their drinks. They don't offer tap beer or soda. So my wife got a diet coke and it came as a tiny 8oz bottle- so no free refills. The other is to be aware that this place is bustling, with people walking to the salad bar from all over a dozen servers constantly circulating with meat. So, it can have a bit of a frantic pace to it, so I wouldn't reccomend going there if you are looking for a romantic or intimate meal. Its a great place to go in a big group. And oh yeah, you can look at all their meat selections on their website

This place is GREAT! The food, the service, the decor... wonderful! It is pricey, so don't be surprised if you spend $140 for two, including tip.

O.M.G. .... I went back to Boi Na Braza Sunday (04/18/10), and again it was a Feast of Meat. I totally enjoyed myself, and as soon as I came in and received my plate I turned over the Green Card and my Meat Feast Banquet started. This time I took a little more care and did not let my Eyes become bigger than my stomach. Plus I took a longer time to seat down and eat, and I did not hurry myself along. Basically I enjoyed the experience better by taking me time and savoring the 18 different meats. And believe me I eat all 18. When you get there try to have Jared as you immediate waiter/server. This guy has a great personality, and knows what he is doing. He is still a little new to the restaurant, but along with the regular team of expect servers you will never know. Also, ask for Chris, and if you are a regular then you already know who he is. There are some of the other regulars there but at the time of writing this post their names escape me. Please forgive me, I will try to remember and edit them in later. Also say Hello to Catherine, she is the marketer for the restaurant, and is a good person to know. Lastly unknown to me, B.N.B. has a new dinner special, for only 34.95, call to be certain, and you get a selection of #5 of the #18 meats, and the all you can eat meat & salad bar. Of course it is more than just a salad bar, but I don't have a name to call it. Please call them for the details, but there is more to it, and things can change. Or you can still pay the 49.95 for the regular dinner. If you must bring your kids, then know they don't have a kids meal menu. That is an idea to add to the menu, because sometime you can't find a decent sitter. We took ours with us for her birthday, thus we had to take our kid. All he wanted at 5y/o was some McD chicken nuggets. No amount of roasted meats no matter how well prepare they are, could replace an order of chicken nuggets or strips. B.N.B. you might need to add that to the menu for kids. But he loved the cheese rolls. Again another EXCELLENT Experience at Boi Na Braza, and I did take lots of pictures. LOOK FOR HOMBRE (Me) NEXT TIME YOU VISIT, I MIGHT BE SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO YOU !!!! .

If you like meat, this is the place for you. It's worth every penny spent, as well. The salad bar is gigantic, full of fresh cheeses, fish, soups, and of course, salads of all sorts. The service is fantastic, and the wait staff, dressed in gauchos adds a bit of flair. I had to get used to flipping over a car from stop to feast, but I got used to it. Essentially, when you want to try a fresh cut of beef, pork or chicken, you have to turn over a card, and they slice of a portion for you to try. I walked out of this place completely stuffed, but it was wonderful. Go for the lamb chops.

Wow!!! This was my first time at a Brazilian restaurant. You pay a flat rate for dinner and then they come around to your tables with 12 different kinds of meat. There is also an area where you can load up on sides (asparagus, salad, mashed potatoes, etc.). I will be going back here first chance I get, crossing my fingers I come back to Cincinnati soon.

Have been to churrascarias all over Brazil and found this experience lacking. The meat was not cooked to its expected perfection, the staff was not particularly polite and if I didn't know better, I'd say the caipirinhas were light on the cachaça. The whole experience was not worth the expense by any means.

Well- I wasn't blown away, It could have been worse I guess. Maybe I've been spoiled by the fine dining of Chicago, where I discoverd my love for food or maybe I've become overyly picky. The service was good. For a Friday night there were only about 45-50 people in the place and mostly couples. The staff was very friendly and we were never without drinks or warm bread. The multiple waiter system meant someone was always close by when needed, but that also meant someone was always close by, we felt stalked about 15 minutes into dinner. I was turned off by the limited selection of five hot side dishes at the salad bar which included; cheese broccoli, rice, flavored rice- pork i think, black beans, and mashed potatoes. They did have this mushroom sauce/gravy that went great with all the meats. For a place that has twelve different meats available you would think to get at least 5-6 vegetables to choose from. Its a good thing the meat was good. The lamb was awesome, mouth melting, well seasoned. filet was well done and the bacon wrapped around it seemed to have been cooked twice, didn't go well together. The bacon wrapped chicken was tasty and the sirloin made me smile while eating. I also had a pork rib, wasn't falling of the bone but still a good sauce less rib. The other patrons were annoying which you can't blame the establishment for but they could have at least enforced the dress code I thought they had. There were people in sweat suits and hoodies eating like it was their death row last wish or something, like they had never been to a good dinner before. Lastly I don't think it was worth the price, I will gladly pay a hundred bucks for a decent 3 or 4 star meal but this wasn't that meal. For the two of us it was about 175.00 with tip, one drink each, and we each had a desert. they charged 7 for frozen cheese cake and 4 for weak coffee, just annoying thats all. It was an ok experience to endure for an enjoyalbe and tasty, overpriced meal. We probably won't go back. I'm not saying don't go, just don't have extremely high expectations and if you see anyone weating sweat pants don't sit by them.

I have been to several Brazilian-style restaurants and have come to love them, that is, until I dined at Boi Na Braza in Cincinnati. It was overpriced and the service was just horrible. I visited on Valentine's day with the intention of having a nice, fun, relaxed evening with my wife. We were tricked into buying the so called 'Valentine's package'. This was the regular fare with the addition of coffee, desert and champagne toast, non of which was presented to us. When I called the attention of our server to this, instead of addressing the issue, the first thing he opted to do was to call the manager, who subsequently showed up at our table and threw down a couple of $10.00 coupons towards a future visit. I guess he believes it was easier to throw coupons at people rather than address the serious deficiency in their service delivery. Of course I was very disappointed and made this known to him. I politely declined the coupons and he stormed away from our table apparently furious at my temerity in rejecting the $10.00 coupons. He flatly refused to apologize for the poor service and neighter did he make any effort to remedy the situation. I left the restaurant having been robbed of services that I had actually paid for but which were never delivered. The food itself was nothing to write home about especially compared to other Brazilian-styled restaurants. The meats were salty and very limited in number of cuts and in variety. The salad bar choices were remarkably anemic. Will definitely not be going back and will not be recommending this restaurant to anybody I know.

it's nice for a try but not so impressive! we went on a Saturday night dinner but the place wasn't as busy as you would expect, actually most of the tables to my sight were empty! the salad bar was ok, I liked few item but not everything tasted that good. as for the meat, I don't know if it's a regular thing or just the day we came, that not all the meat skewers were served! there were around 6-7 and since we don't eat pork, we were left with 4 meat options that kept coming to our table and we refused after trying first time because we were waiting for the other types and actually at the end we had to ask them to bring a specific type, we only did that once though! in general the meat tasted very good . and oh the cheese bread, fries and fried bananas which were refilled continually made my day, they were so good and fresh! the decor inside is beautiful and the atmosphere is quiet. one last note, we made a reservation using open table and we showed up on time but the next day I received an email from them about a no-show, so I sent them the info and they got that fixed but I guess that wasn't so professional on the Boi Na Braza's side!

Upscale Brazilian Style steak house, I won't go into detail about the concept with this review, but in short the idea is that you are served all you can eat meat by waiters right at your table. The food was delicious, and the "salad bar" (that term here is a slight understatement) was really great. We went here for a birthday and kind-of got all dressed up, for the price I would have expected a dress code but we were seated next to a bunch of kids in jeans and t-shirts. I would recommend this to anyone who can afford it... at least just to go once, but beware of the Brazilian cocktail theymake at your table... they are great but at $16 a pop...! WOW!

Excellent food - leaves nothing to be desired. Even knowing how amazing the food is, the price is too high. I wouldn't go more than once or twice a year, and only for special occasions. Would have to halve the prices for me to go more often.
