I came a bit out of my way just to visit this restaurant since I've never had Venezuelan food and wanted to try it. Except I wouldn't call it a "restaurant" per say since it's more of a takeout window with one small table outside so it's better to expect to not find any seating. I'm going to assume the guy who took my order is the owner of the restaurant and he was very patient and helpful when I said that I'm completely unfamiliar with the menu. I stuck with what's the most popular which is the reina pepiada arepa. Like I said, I've never had Venezuelan food before so I can't speak for the authenticity but I was happy with how it tasted. I didn't expect the chicken avocado filling to be cold but it was a nice contrast with the hot bun it's stuffed in. The bun had a thin crispy exterior and was soft inside. The arepa itself was surprisingly filling and that alone was enough to eat for lunch. Overall, a nice gem in Cincinnati.

I've never been to Venezuela, but other reviews have spoken to the authenticity of Arrechissimo. I ordered a typical plate and a chicken arepa for two people to share. First off, the arepa is gigantic. I don't know how one person could finish it, but it's a ton of meat and absolutely delicious. The typical plate is...typical! In a very delightful way! It's also gigantic, and together, they gave us 2 meals for 2 people. And although I've never had Venezuelan food specifically, a lot of the ingredients that go into South American food are very similar to what I have had "authentically", and it's definitely spot on. Price point, it may seem expensive at first, and they don't offer discounts for catering, but considering we got double the meal out of it, it's really not too bad! This place is definitely worth the venture out if you're near Kenwood or Deer Park. It's a little easy to miss because they don't have a big bold sign, and there's no parking lot, just metered street parking right in front, but check it out. The menu is simple, the food is great, the owners are friendly, and everything is made to order. My wait time was a little long, about 10-15 minutes, but it's definitely worth it!

Very solid Venezuelan food. As other reviews said, it's a carry out window. Call in your order and pick it up. The chicken and avocado arepa is amazing! Don't forget the cilantro sauce!

I swung by this place for lunch at the encouraging of my wife. She warned that the wait may be awhile, so I anticipated that much. I was pleasantly surprised at the service and the food. I just had a chicken arepa, but it was delicious. My wife is much more into the bread than I am, but this was good. But if you want to make me happy, the filling has to be good. And it was! Spices that my Polish/American tastebuds did not grow up with, but wish I had. The very nice lady working on this occasion seemed to like what she was doing. I am just trying to figure out why I was the only one there. This place is just a to-go type place...though there are a few table outside, but if you stop by and pick things up and take them back to the office, you will have everyone stopping in to see what you are eating. Worked for me! Didn't get 5 stars only because it was my first visit and I need to try more to make sure it is all as good as what I had.

In a Latin American food desert, all you want is Latin American food. What a must-try type of place in Cincinnati. Elsewhere? Probably not so special. If "breakfast" to you means fried corn cakes stuffed with meat, then yes, please. We stuck with the breakfast items- the beef arepa and the reina pepiada arepa ($5 each), one spicy cilantro sauce (.50), and one beef empanada to share ($3). Crispy outside, warm chewiness on the inside. The beef though, was more piece by piece than all together, which I think if you fill with black beans or something, I think it would be perfect. Cilantro sauce- spicy is delicious and you should get it with whatever you order. I say go with the more inexpensive breakfast items before you commit to $11 entrees. The owner is fabulous and super nice, and I'm so glad he introduced Venezuelan fare to the midwest. 4.5 stars! I want to try more.

Drove a ways to get here because if the review on yelp. Hours said they were open. But they were locked up no body there. Kinda odd for lunch time. Bit of a waste of time.

As a Venezuelan no longer living in Venezuela, I crave arepas on an almost daily basis. Imagine my surprise when I found arrechisimo. Hands down, the place is amazing. It is definitely a take out window only (although they have a few tables outside), but it's totally worth it. The arepas are amazing, and everything is made from scratch. The reina pepiada (chicken and avocado) is a must have. I have to agree with all the reviewers -- the staff there is extremely friendly, and if you're not already familiar with Venezuelan cuisine, they will explain everything to you. My boyfriend and I go on an almost weekly basis now, pick up a couple of arepas and drinks, and go find a park to sit in.

Absolutely delightful! My family and I finally made it here and were not disappointed. The seven of us got a bit of everything and, boy, did they deliver. Fantastic service and everything was very authentic and very rich. We especially loved the chicken and avocado arepas, the chicken arepas, the fresh mango juice and the plantains. The spicy cilantro sauce is a must for the arepas! A super shout out to Javier for really taking care of us and our way too large food order. Such a kind man. We will definitely be back and are already looking into catering options. Thanks again for bringing a taste of Venezuela to Cincinnati!

Oh.My .Gawd. Do not miss this fabulous eatery! The family is lovely...we really enjoyed them...what warm and friendly people they are... The food is fantastic, made from scratch, fresh. We were feeling adventurous....so we tried almost everything on the menu and I'm soooo glad we did! The Arepas are otherworldly....the chicken avocado was insane. It's all good....literally! It's a very clean neighborhood. The restaurant is a walk up window, outdoor/to go eating. Make sure you get plenty of their sauces....the sweet pepper was our fav. Now....hurry....go.....try an arepa....what are you waiting for...?

After reading all of the great reviews, I had to check this place out since it was so close to my house. I had the typical Venezuelan plate and a cheese empanada, with a side of the cilantro sauce. Everything was delicious! It was simple, but so flavorful. The cilantro sauce was fantastic and I think I'm in love with the empanadas. The owner was so friendly and even gave us a bonus gift of the Venezuelan custard. Can't wait to go back!

I currently live in the Midwest and travel occasionally for work to Cincinnati. I'm originally from South America and always in the quest of looking for true homemade South American food. This place hit the jackpot!!! I was so happy!!! I agree with one of the reviewers, it's like eating at grandma's kitchen. Javier, the owner was awesome in explaining every detail of the dishes. I had several items on the menu, since I returned in several occasions during the course of my stay in Cincinnati. First, I tried the grilled steak with onions, rice and plantains - delicious!!! I had the passion fruit juice to drink and for dessert, quesillo, incredible!!! Quesillo is also know in other Latin America countries as Flan, etc. The following day I tried a chicken with rice and beans, and as suspected I was NOT disappointed. Tried the empanadas as well, they were to die for!!! For now, you can only pick-up, but its totally worth it!! I wish them much prosperity, the food really is fantastic, and just right in every aspect!!! Very clean and friendly people, I will surely return when I travel back to Cincinnati!!!!

It's funny, I live close by but didn't realize this place was even there until one of my Puerto Rician friends told me about it. We stopped by yesterday and I was really really impressed. It's a family business, pretty much a takeout place with some outdoor seating. Food it really really good, I got the steak+onions and I highly recommend the Boiled Yuca, and the fried plantains as your side. This is a pretty much one of a kind place in Cincinnati. Very clean facilites, the owner seems really nice. They also have this drink there of pinapple juice, but it's not like any i've even been given, it's like they took a whole fresh pineapple and liquified it, then put it in a foam cup.. it's pretty amazing.

Learned about this in a small write-up in the Enquirer. As stated, it is just a take out window with a few tables outside, but the food is plentiful, delicious and filling. There's nothing like this from here to Louisville. We love fried Yuca, sweet plaintains, and the empanadas and arepas are stellar! Very friendly folks. I wish them tons of success.

I have been here several times and the food and service has always been exceptional. If you're in the deer park area you must visit here and if you visit here you must try the arrepas! We are lucky to have an authentic taste of Venezuela in the heart of downtown deer park. There is no indoor seating area fyi, but a few tables set up outside and a nice park just down the street.

  • Steve H.

I love authentic food and this reminded me of being back in South America. This was my first time eating Venezuelan food and I'll be back. I have a lot of other items to try. The service was very friendly. Reading other reviews I went with the typical dish and cheese fingers. Both were great. Not American style fried, but very light. Meat was tasty and the plantains are a nice addition. Looking forward to stopping in again and bringing some friends.

Phenomenal. The chicha, the empanadas, the tequeños, the pastelitos, the quesillo...all of it intact as I remembered it from my youth in Venezuela...and all of it unspeakably delicious. Extra confirmation to my girlfriend as to the taste and, most importantly, the coziness of Venezuelan cuisine. Simply incredible. A fantastic little restaurant owned by a fantastically friendly family. Thank you Javier!!

Food made with love! Stopped at this little joint on a road trip.. Feels like a small slice of home! The owner is very friendly and honest about the menu. I got the arepa pabellon and my BF got the reina pepiada, with a side of tequeños we were ready to explode but so happy to have had delicious and good quality food! This place is truly worth the small detour, we also had a fruit punch juice called tizano... With a shot of rum, this juice could cure any ailment. I've had so many arepas and velezuelan foods before, this restaurant truly is top notch. I am looking forward for my next visit to Cincinnati to be able to visit arrechissimo! I usually don't enjoy sitting outside but for a quick bite, this was pretty ideal!

Good food with a very authentic feel :) The biggest asset of the place: The Charming Owner! What a treat to talk to him after a long day at work. I love his accent and how friendly he is. Even learnt some Spanish words during my dinner. I cannot even say what I had, the names are crazy :) I can say the food was fresh and arrived promptly, with extremely nice service. Even though it is not really a restaurant (do not get confused, there is a small window and two tables to eat outside), I hope they will figure it out for the winter and that they can make it a year-round business! :)

I've never had Venezuelan food, but this will certainly not be the first and last time. I took another Yelper's advice and got the cheese fingers with cilantro sauce (comes regular or spicy). They were tasty; not greasy at all, and the sauce appeared to be blended. It wasn't an overbearing cilantro taste like you get in some salsas. I ordered the typical plate. The meat was good and the plantains were done very well. I thought I could save half for dinner, but after seeing it on my desk for half an hour, I caved & finished it. It's not bad cold either. The real highlight here is the owner. Clearly passionate about his food and business, lit up telling me about the tables on the sidewalk and music playing when it's nicer out. I mentioned to him that I had worked in Kenwood for a year and not known about the place until I read about it here, and he ended my visit with "The best tip you can give me is a good review on Yelp". And with only 30 reviews, I get it. More people need to know about this place.

Oh my YUM! Found out about this place by yelping for a good place in the Kenwood area. I didn't even know that there was good Venezuelan around Cincy! Arrechissimo is a walk-up window, with some small table outside to sit. I've had the typical plate, fried yuca, tostones, and the chicha. Verdict? ALL DELICIOUS. The typical plate came with rice, fried plantains (sweet like a banana), smoky black beans cooked with a bacony flavor, and a tomato stew-like pulled pork. It was so good the first time, that I came back later that week!! The arepas looked delicious, but haven't gotten around to trying yet! The fried yuca was friend to perfection! They've got a great crispiness, and are served with a cilantro sauce. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE CILANTRO SAUCE!! One order was plenty as a side dish between 2-3 people. An order of tostones come with 4, and are another great side! Are you a fan of cinnamon rolls? How about cooling yourself down on a hot day? The chicha is for you! I was a bit thicker in consistency than I thought. The first sip was exactly like a deliciously chilly cinnamon roll. It's an iced beverage, and comes in a relatively larger size! You may want to also get some water, in case you find it rich. Overall? AWESOME! Will definitely be back for more!

Was so thankful to find a place that serves traditional Venezuelan food. Having lived in Caracas (also where the owner is from) I constantly crave traditional empanadas and arepas. Theirs were delicious, especially with the cilantro and sweet pepper sauce. A bit of a bummer that each sauce is $.75 but they are a must, so I was certainly willing to pay. You order at carry-out window and can either sit in the few seats or take your food to go.

If there's anyplace else like Arrechissimo in Cincinnati, I haven't found it. From the cornmeal (I guess?)-based rolls the arepas are served in to the unique flavors--my favorite is the arepa con pabellon, which contains shredded beef, white cheese, black beans and fried plantains--this unassuming little place does it right. The service is always friendly. You order via a walk-up window, and then you can eat at one of a few metal tables set up on the sidewalk, or you can wait in your car and they'll actually bring your food out to you when it's done. There's also a park right down the street, where you can eat at aa picnic table under a shelter. In addition to the arepa con pabellon, I recommend the arepa con reina pepillada, a kind of chicken salad sandwich with avocado mixed in. And don't forget the cilantro sauce, which comes in hot or mild.

We ate here two weeks ago, and I must say I was quite surprised. We tried the arepas -- the reina pepiada which I really enjoyed, and the beef which was ok. At $7 for two, it's a nice deal. We also tried the empenadas and these didn't impress me at all, very dry on the inside compared to empenadas I've had in the past -- avoid these. In short, I will be back for the arepa reina pepiada anytime I'm in the Kenwood area. I'm also going to visit again to try more menu items.

Arrechissimo is a great little place to grab some food from. It's a carry-out window only and the friendly owner is more than happy to explain everything on the menu to you if you haven't been there before. My wife and I stopped by to grab some dinner on the way home one day and we were hungry so we decided to order a bunch of different things and split them all. We ordered the typical plate, the reina pepiada arepa, fried yuca, tostones, pork hallaquitas, and cilantro sauce. The typical plate comes with beef, black beans, rice, and plantains. The flavor in the beef and beans was really good but I will say that the beef was really salty. It definitely needed to be mixed with the rice and beans to tone down the salt. The arepas are basically sandwiches that are made from slicing open something like a really thick fried tortilla and stuffing it. There are different fillings and we chose the reina pepiada which on the menu said chicken and avocado. I will describe it as Venezuelan chicken salad because it was basically really creamy chicken salad that used mashed avocado in it. If you like chicken salad you will probably really like this item and although I thought it was fine I probably wouldn't order it again. But the arepa itself is a good food item that I would definitely order again just with a different filling next time. The fried yuca is awesome and is kind of like really thick french fries or potato wedges but better. I will always eat the fried yuca from here. The tostones were good but not at all what I expected. I have eaten tostones before and they are fried crispy unripe plantains. Here they were fried into little bowl shapes and then filled with soft white cheese and sauce. The halllaquitas are essentially miniature tamales and are a fantastic side. I have always loved tamales and I didn't know when I was ordering these that this is what they were. I ordered the version with peppers first but he was out so I replaced it with the pork rind version. I was so delighted when I saw what they were and they were really good when eaten with the cilantro sauce. I didn't try the emmpadas or the pastelitos or a couple other items so I will have to go back. The food was delicious and I am very happy I decided to venture outside of my usual dining area and try this place in Deer Park. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I AM SO HAPPY!!! I grew up in the Caribbean, and I hadn't had my hands on an arepa in at least 15 years. Just the smell outside this shop almost brought me to tears! Arrechissimo is pretty much a take out window only, so on the first warm day, I ran own for lunch with some colleagues to introduce them to Venezuelan food. Good thing I'm not on a timed lunch break, because everything is scratch made by one of the owners, so the wait can be substantial. Don't stop if you're in a hurry. We parked ourselves on the bench outside the building to wait for our food, which took about 15 minutes with 2 people in front of us. The arepas here are legit as it gets. The cilantro sauce is the perfect combination with the cheesy, meaty goodness shoved inside the crispy arepa. And their tostones (fried green plaintains) are drizzled with a savory sauce and melted cheese. Not a bite of this lunch was low-cal, but it was so perfect, who cares?! I even took an arepa home, since I was stuffed, and it surprisingly reheated pretty well in the oven for my dinner. I really need to try the fresh pressed fruit juice next time I go! Prices are awesome. I spent under $10 for my tostones and 2 huge arepas. This little joint is totally worth trying out, whether you've ever had Latin American cuisine or not. I'm a huge fan!

My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim. Man, that was a great decision. It's just a Venezuelan dude and lady working in a storefront. You order and pick up food through a window. Store owner is super friendly and food is authentic and amazing. The beef platter was delicious. Fried yucca was on point, and the spicy cilantro sauce they served with it was fresh and tangy. The reina pepiada and domino arepas were also savory and delicious. All in all, one of my faves in Cincy. Bottom Line: I will definitely be back for this authentic and delicious Venezuelan fare.

Tequeños & Empanadas in Cincinnati!! After a long wait I finally was able to go to a place that sells Venezuelan food here in the midwest... My wife and I stopped by yesterday and both were greatly surprised by the nice service and the even better food... My wife and I shared a side order of Tequeños and then each had an "empanada de pabellon" and both dishes were very good. On the sweet side, we arrived too late and they were out of "Marquesa de Chocolate" but we were able to try the "Quesillo" and it was excelent. I think Javier is doing a good job of showcasing our food here in Greater Cincinnati.

I was very excited to try Arrechissimo because it seemed to be a local place that would have very authentic food. I ordered the pabellon arrepas, which was beef, black beans, cheese, and plantains. While this had true potential, it fell short in a few areas. The arrepas "bun" is fried, as well as nearly everything on the menu. If you aren't interested in fried foods, then this probably is not the place for you. The fried tasted somehow was the dominant flavor in the arrepas. The meat and beans didn't really have any flavor and the cheese was completely lost.

Venezuelan street food. In the middle of Deer Park. Sounds legit. IT IS! I had very low expectations but just had to try the only Venezuelan restaurant in the region. The reviews here were almost all raves and it's very convenient to work so I stopped by yesterday for lunch. It was great! I had the Venezuelan Typical Plate. It's not fancy. Not even close. What you get is exactly what the menu says; black beans with a dash of cheese crumbles (feta?), white rice with fried plantain, and pulled beef. It was fantastic! Very clean, uncomplicated flavors that accommodated and complemented each other. The fry on the plantains was perfection... a light crust with no crisping and a chewy center. Mildly sweet and savory at the same time. The rice is just rice, meant to take on the flavor that surrounds it. The black beans were simple and seasoned just enough to elevate the flavor of the beans themselves. The beef is the star of this plate. Sort of fruity and sweet but hearty at the same time. Hard to explain exactly how good this is because the flavors are so well balanced that no one element really stands out. I will definitely be back again and again!

Amazing flavors! Such a cool place. I had the meat plate and a passion fruit juice. everything is made from scratch and you can tell the guy takes pride in his craft..meat is juicy and has no fat/grissle, amazing seasoning and the yucca and potatoes are crispy and hot!! So delicious!!

I was so pleased to discover a Venezuelan restaurant in Cincinnati. Finally! Even though this is a take-out only joint, I'll take it. The owner/operator is terrific. Friendly, helpful and willing to dole out samples. He seemed glad to have us even though we were the only people there who didn't speak Spanish. The reina pepiada (chicken avocado arepa) was delicious. The corn bun (shell? What does one call this?) was perfectly hot and crisp. We also had the Venezuelan typical plate that was hearty and enjoyable. Be sure not to miss the freshly-squeezed juices. Passionfruit, pineapple and mango are the most popular. So where's that 5th star? Well, prices are pushing it. $11 for the typical plate seems pricey for mainly beans, rice and stewed meat. Arepas at $5 seem slightly high too. Especially considering this place has practically no overhead. On a crisp fall afternoon there were quite a few customers seated outside but I'm not sure what a cold or rainy day would do to the biz. Hopefully with their increasing popularity they'll consider a dine-in location.

Awesome food, very authentic. The arepa (beef and cheese) was out of this world and the crisp on the bun (fried corn) was spot on. We will definitely be back. Also you need to try the plantains with queso on them. Owners were extremely friendly.

I'd known about Arrechissimo for awhile, as I'm frequently in the Deer Park area and had seen their fliers here and there. Knowing it was a walk-up window, I had been avoiding it because I'm whiny about cold weather and didn't want to stand outside to wait for food (boo hoo, woe is me, blah blah). But, having just gotten back from a trip to New York City and having had some great Peruvian food while I was there, I was hankering for some more tostones. PRONTO. I saw that Arrechissimo offered them so off I went. My coworker and I both ordered an arepa (chicken and reina pepiada), an order of tostones, cilantro sauce, and pineapple juice. The good: the arepa was piping hot and very filling, and the cilantro sauce tasted great alongside. The corn cakes were very good - fluffy, with a little bit of crispiness on the outside, and slightly sweet. The ok: the tostones came with a red sauce and white cheese, and while they did taste good, there was more "fried" than there was plantain. The bad: the pineapple juice was watered down pineapple juice from a jug. Not sure if they used to do fresh juices as previous reviewers have mentioned, but ours was definitely not juiced on the premises. The guy running the place was nice, the food came out in about 10 minutes and was fresh, and it's pretty cheap. I would definitely go back for an arepa and to try some of their other offerings, but would probably pass on any juices or tostones next time. As an aside, my coworker and I discussed that this kind of food would be great for a food truck.

Love this little place. Great arepas and empanadas. The cilantro sauce for them is a must as well. Only wish they had indoor seating. Not every day is a sit at an outside table day. Find yourself a sunny day and enjoy!

Okay, so what better way to go out for lunch, at a new place, on a cold winter day. I tend to use yelp to find new places and also for coaching on what to order. I will give yelp a A+ for fulfilling this tasking. As a few others have commented this is beyond a hole in the wall restaurant. It is literally a walk up window. The first thing that hits you is the man behind the window/counter. I told him it was my first time and he was very helpful in explaining the menu and provided some suggestions. I went with the arepas (sandwich) with pork and cheese. I also ordered a pineapple juice (only because it was so well recommended). My first reaction was that the arepas looked a little small for the money. However, it was extremely filling (and I am a big guy) and it was more than enough for a hearty lunch. The sandwich was great. The "bread" is a corn flat bread. It is outstanding. This was a hit. On to the "juice". Again, not something I would normally order, but it was highly recommended on yelp. I have to second that recommendation. It was extremely tasty. Great place. Very reasonably priced. Definitely a must go to place. I will be back.

Delicious food and wonderful, gracious service. The tequenos (cheese fingers) are to die for, especially dipped in the house made cilantro sauce. Tender beef, delicious sides, and great prices. Go there!

A great find in Deer Park. For now it's a walk up window and totally worth the visit. The Owner, Javier , explained the menu and I chose the Typical Plate. The shredded beef was quite flavorful and the fried plantains were a total treat. Freshly made Passionfruit juice completed the meal. Javier said he prepares from his heart and it shows. He also said he's looking for a small place to open a full serve restaurant. Then I met his wife who recommended the Quesillo , or Venezuelan custard , which was creamy smooth dessert. I wish them well and will definitely be back. You should check it out. Don't wait for the restaurant.

Delicious and delicate empanadas! The sauces really compliment the fillings. I had chicken and a cheese, my daughter had beef and a cheese. After eating, we almost ordered more to take home for later. The plantain fritters were crisp like a savory cookie.

Being from South America I'm always on the search for good Latin food in Ohio, so we traveled all the way from Dayton to try some yummy Venezuelan food not knowing what to expect...Well it was worth the trip because it was DELICIOUS! We tried the empanadas, stuffed arepas and their chicha. Everything was amazing and the service was top notch. The owners were so sweet & courteous. The prices were also reasonable. Only thing that caught us off guard was that it's only a pick up window with two outside seating option. Still, they're doing their thing with good food so we'll definitely be back!!

I have never been to Venezuela but I would assume the food is as delicious as this place and great customer service. It was a chilly day and because it is a pickup window--- they brought the food out to my car! the cheese sticks are delicious and the pulled beef was so hearty!!! We will be back----who knew this place existed in the heart of Deer Park!

As a Venezuelan I have never felt more at home. It was like eating my grandmother's traditional Venezuelan food. Truly unbelievable. Every plate on the menu is worth trying. The Reina Pepiada arepa is unbeatable. The classic Pabellon Criollo is as authentic as I have eaten in all of the US. The Quesillo dessert is unmissable. For breakfast do not miss the Cachitos with a fresh made Juice. For dessert you can have the Chicha (rice made malt). For Lunch every dish on the menu is recomended. You can nibble some Tequenos and then move on to a Pabellon, an arepa, empanada or any of the other fabulous dishes. Would not miss it for anything!!!

Since Sabor Peruano burned down; have been missing some south American cooking. Found this place on yelp and decided to try it. It is a take out place which means menu is not as extensive as Sabor. The owner was very friendly. The food was delicious. Tried the fried cheese fingers and they were hot, crisp, not oily. We had three dishes: typical plate with shredded beef, black beans, rice and plantains. Beef was very tasty but serving size was a little small. Beans were great.the beef with onions was good and tasty but the Filipino "bistek" is more flavorful. The Grilled meat dish had chicken, beef and chorizo. The chorizo was shaped like a rectangular patty and was the best thing on the plate, especially with the cilantro sauce. The chicken and beef cubes were a bit tough tough. Overall; very good. I will definitely return and highly recommend this to my friends.

We went on a cold winter day when it was about 5 degrees out. Upon reaching the restaurant, the lady informed us that they were closed for the day due to the cold. I was pretty disappointed to hear this since we made a 20-minute drive up just to check out Arrechissimo, but thankfully, she decided to make an exception for us and still took our orders despite being closed! That's what I call great service. It doesn't hurt that the food was pretty good as well!

I was pleasantly surprised to find such delicious South American food in Cincinnati! We had the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas and mixed arepas with chicken and cheese. I'll be back to get take out!

Wow- I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is great. I had the typical plate, tequenos, and tostones. I'd get them all again. The cilantro sauce is excellent- I'd put that on just about anything. The homemade passion fruit juice was really good. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'm definitely going back. The employees were also very friendly. The only negative I could say is that they don't have indoor seating at this location, but the food is great which is what really counts.

Don't judge a book by its cover! This place looks like a typical take out place from the outside, but inside are really great and authentic Venezuelan foods like arepas and empanadas. For the uninitiated, arepas are thick corn flatbreads that are grilled or fried until crispy on the outside. They are then sliced open and stuffed with a variety of fillings (eggs, cheese, meats). We tried two different arepas in our first trip. The chicken was really good, but the reina pepiada was the real winner. It is essentially an avocado chicken salad, which was not only delicious but a great textural contrast to the super crispy arepa. Be warned, these sandwiches are filling. I thought about ordering a few since it was our first time, but these things are dense, and more than one would have rendered me pretty useless for the rest of the day and in dire need if a nap. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Surprised to find a Venezuelan place in Ohio. Even though its take-out only, the food was very good. It felt like the ingredients were of good quality and fresh. Menu is a bit limited, but has all the staples you would expect: arepas, empanadas, tequeños, quesillo, etc. Definitely call ahead as it takes them a good 20-30 minutes to prepare your order. Would be nice to have a sit-down area to eat. Service was excellent. I think the menu should be more explicative of what Venezuelan food is, how its prepared, why its not spicy, and how its eaten, which would be helpful for americans that are only used to burritos and tacos as their definition of hispanic or 'mexican' food.

Awesome Venezuelan food! In the moment handmade food done with love and passion which is reflected in the taste! You can't miss it! It offers the best Venezuelan dishes just as we eat them in our country.

Food was authentic and really fresh. Love the sweet plantains. Service was great too. The fruit juices are great and just like you get in Latin America and the islands.

Had the Venezuelan Typical Plate and a pineapple juice on the recommendation of the owner. Took less than 10 minutes to get my food. The beef was great and went well with the rice and beans. Loved the fried plantains. Will go back to try the arepas.

Delicious food. We're glad we stopped by on our roadtrip home from Nashville to Columbus. Thanks to yelp, we were aware that shop wasn't going to be easy to spot! We called in and let the lady (owner's wife) pick out the food for the two of us, a pork arepa and a beef platter. We almost walked away without any of their cilantro sauce, but thankfully we weren't too far and went back for both versions (regular & spicy) that stuff is amazing. The mixture of the plantains, beans, beef, rice and cilantro was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner (and they did a great job having our food ready when we stopped to pick it up). A Cincinnati gem!

So my first arepa was in Montreal. My french isn't very good and I wanted to go someplace where I knew they wouldn't try to talk to me and well, I chose a Venezuelan joint. So imagine my delight finding out there was Venezuelan food here in Cincinnati? After being stuck in traffic one day, finally decided to check this place out since it'd been on my list forever. And they were great. Had a chicken arepa, it was very good and extremely reasonably priced.

This was my first of soon to be many visits to this amazing tiny little take out "restaurant" . Arrechissimo is simply delicious. Nothing fancy, just good homemade food. The owner was very friendly and noticed it was my first time. He talked me into getting a chicken and cheese arepa and a beef empanada. I was extremely happy with both of these. Both meats were shredded and very good. This was my first time eating an arepa and I was not disappointed. The empanada was crispy and light. The food took a little longer then I expected to come out. But after about waiting 10 minutes I was informed by the owner that it only be a few more minutes and was taking a while because he makes everything to order. So I can't complain with that type of service and quality. And to make it all even better, it was very reasonably priced for an amazing lunch. I will definitely be back.

Delicious! I'm so happy I live close by, I can have Aprepas any time I want them! The food is always fresh and I love the cilantro sauce on everything! My 2 year old son loves their food too, which is super fun, so we can go as a family and sit outside to enjoy it or just take it home. Definitely worth a try!

Amazing restaurant! You have to try the AREPAS. I had one with shredded meat and cheese and it was incredible. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to eat here. We spoke to the owners and they are some of the nicest people in the world. Eventhough it is a small place, I trully believe they will grow quickly. They serve rare Venezuealan dishes. I reccomend you try the Tequeños, Arepas and the Chicha. DELICIOUS!
