Great NY style pizza. Staff normally have a I don't care attitude but that doesn't keep me away. You can't go wrong with an 18" pepperoni or a stuffed pie!

The Worst! I threw it away and walked out. How bad does pizza have to be for you to throw it out? The WORST. I like local non chain restaurants so I wanted to,give this place a shot. It's pizza. I love pizza. Not their pizza. They have decent reviews but I was the only person in the whole place. While I waited for them to reheat my pizza I used their bathroom. Woof! That was disgusting too. Go to Flying Pizza down the street. It's great pizza and they actually clean.

The pizza is about as true to a NY pizza as you will get here in the Dayton area. The crust is a thin crust with tons of cheese on it. I like the small pizza shop vibe that you get from them. Its really nice. The pizza was so greasy though! Man I thought I was going to lay comatose on the floor after the first bite so I decided to use a napkin to absorption some of it. Now I will say I'm a little health nut and sometimes choose to induldge every so often with something like this. So my reaction to this will be different than someone else I'm sure. That's the reason I took off one star. So Johnny you get 4 out of 5 from me!

This is one of my favorite place for pizza in Dayton. I used to go all the time when i was in high school and still head over when i can. The staff is very friendly and thankful for my business overtime I go here. If you are wanting a nice place to get pizza by the slice like in New York this is a great place to go in Centerville.

Pizza is generic. Not even the best pizza in town. The local grocery store, Earth Fare has much better pizza. Has community appeal, decent pizza. Nothing special. Good to grab a quick bite to eat.

Great New York style pizza! Actually had a seating area too! Crust was soft and delicious. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese...perfectly balanced to yield a flavorful experience. Great little joint in downtown centerville. Get a great pizza here!!

Really solid New York style pizza! Sold by the slice or by the whole pie. Toppings are abundant and fresh and the crust is just right for folding, big floppy slices. The breadsticks were pretty fantastic also! Very friendly service to boot! Bonus for being locally owned, you can tell lots of love and pride go into their food. Check them out!

My one star is because they shut down their Springboro location, didn't update their website, and now do not offer delivery...not a good way to run a pizza business.

new to the area and was looking for some local pizza. really enjoyed the pie, as it was hot and ready to go for pickup when they said it would be ready. thought it was a bit pricey for a two topping pizza but I was very satisfied with the product none the less. will definitely be back to return!

I am giving this a five star review....5 GOOD because I love the pizza, BUT YOU ALSO GET 5 BAD!!! I ate there three times last week and went in today to grab my usual two slices of cheese...then I grabbed a can of pop also. She said that will be seven dollars, I paid her and, knowing that my usual two slices of cheese is five bucks, that meant she charged me two bucks for a can of pop...didn't make sense to me so I asked her how much the pop was and with her lovely attitude (not really) she said a dollar and kinda shrugged her shoulders and sighed like it was no big deal...I said well I think you may have over charged me and she no I rang it in as a combo, I am just doing my job...I asked if she would ring it in separately because it is a dollar cheaper that way, again she looked at me and with even more attitude said well I am just doing my job, well you may want to change the price of the combo then because two pieces of pizza is five bucks and then I was told by the very friendly lady behind the counter, NOT! that the can of pop was a dollar!!!! I am not the best at math, but $5+$1= $6...MY QUESTION is why is the combo I paid for $7??? So do the owners know that there is a dollar over charge floatin around and how many times a day does this happen and who actually benefits from this??? MOST combos that I have ever gotten either give you a bit of a discount or are the exact cost as if you were to of rang each item individually or you get a cool plastic cup or something. If you remember in the beginning I did ask her if she could just re ring it again but not as a combo....then after all of this...I notice her taking the pizza out of the oven and basically put one slice on top of the other so when I got home to eat them the cheese from the bottom piece was stuck to the bottom of the slice she put right in top. I feel this was done out of spite because last week when she put the two slices in the box they fit fine and where not even close to being on top of each other. So She came over with the box and says so I suppose you want your dollar back? Yes ma'am. I could not believe the rudeness and disrespectful attitude from your employee...it is a shame because I love your pizza, but she was a total downer. When I was getting ready to leave I asked if the manager was in and she very snidely said I am the manager...a manager who argues with the customers definately doesn't represent you new business very well. I am very disappointed not only in the visit, but in the fact that I honestly don't know when I will go back in again, and I will be warning all of my friends and family to be sure that they do get scammed like I almost did...I mean you sell 2 liters for $1.85 I believe. I just think something doesn't sit well with me!!! CHECK RECIEPTS AND TOTALS TO BE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING OVER CHARGED!!!! You may just want to let your MANAGER know that typical the customer is always right and its best not to argue with them especially when another customer walks in. DON'T KNOW IF SHE WAS HAVING A BAD DAY, but that is no excuse. I thought for a while add to wether or not I was gonna even write this review, but I could not stop thinking about this and I believe it was because I have worked with the consumer since I was sixteen...different types of jobs, but you should never argue with the customer. And with social media and word of mouth...that could make our break a business.

I normally don't give out 5-stars, but I love me some Johnny's Pizzeria! First time here, I was greeted by the kitchen staff and helped to make a selection. The Park Avenue stromboli was awesome. It contained chicken, ranch, italian herbs, and cheese, I'm sure. It came recommended and was well worth the leap of faith. I came for the pizza though, so I ordered a medium supreme in addition to the stromboli. It came out first and is possibly the best supreme pizza I've ever had (at least in living memory). I don't know what made it so good, but it was probably a combination of these things: The toppings (to include the green peppers and olives) were fresh and tasty. They weren't just there for decoration, but packed a powerful, tasty punch. The cheese was very stretchy and cheesy. It was like "Ninja Turtle" pizza because, upon pulling a slice from the pie, it stretched three inches or so before coming undone. Also the bread was light and foldable. I ate half the pizza before I realized I had eaten the crust of each piece I'd had. Normally I don't eat the crust, or will make an effort to try it, taste it, and test it, before leaving it by the wayside. At Johnny's the crust was so good I forgot about it being there. All this in addition to the welcoming atmosphere and great service. I wanted to go back the next day, on Sunday, but realized they were closed. Sometime soon though, sometime soon.

Honestly, I just don't see how this is any different than an average pizza place. It was okay and that's about all that can be said. It was a little more pricey than a chain-place, which I am okay with, as long as they deliver on taste. I would say this pizza was average, so I would eat it again, but I wouldn't seek it out.

Love Johnny's! Best pizza in town. The garlic crust is delicious and they are always super friendly when you pick it up. It's a little pricey, but if you only have pizza every once in a while like us, it's worth the splurge! We get veggies on ours and they always load 'em up!

Best breadsticks I've had in years, excellent Stromboli and amazing NY style pizza. A must try if your a Dayton local or are passing through from a city known for pizza!

I have had Johnny's in the past and liked it so I called ahead to order the Brooklyn Brawler since I figured it would take extra time. An hour and a half later I arrived to pick up the pizza. I live 30 minutes away so I was hoping it would be hot. As luck would have it the pizza was coming out of the oven as I arrived so I knew the pizza was hot, good right? Well when I got home I began to eat a slice. I like ranch dressing with my pizza so I was dipping the slice in the cold ranch dressing. It took me several bites to realize that the sausage was ice cold in the middle. My son had already scarffed down 2 pieces and hadnt noticed, he's 15, go figure. I told him not to eat anymore because I was worried that if the sausage wasnt precooked we may be eating raw pork. I called Johnny's and spoke with a lady who assured me that all the ingredients were made fresh and fully cooked. I explained the situation and my concern with potentially eating raw/undercooked sausage. She offered to make me a 12" pizza for free but as i said I live 30 minutes away. I ended up putting my next slice in the microwave. It wasnt a good pizza and after paying $27 + a $2 tip, I must say I'm less than pleased.

If I could choose any place in the Dayton area to eat every night, this would be it, without a doubt. Unfortunately, my thighs declare otherwise. As a native east-coaster, I have struggled to find GOOD pizza here in Ohio. Now, if one is in to thin-crust cardboard pizza, sure... you will have no problem finding that here. But true pizza to me means NY style large enough to fold. Johnny's is just that. I normally opt for just pepperoni and cheese and it often only takes them 10 minutes from the time I place the order. You can also order by the slice. You have the option to carry out or eat inside. They have a nice, but casual sitting area with a TV. They appear to be very involved with the schools in the area as you see sports posters plastered all over the place. I can not rave about this place enough. If you are craving some New York style pizza and live in the Dayton area...you should definitely check out Johnny's.

Now this is a very good pizza. I would highly recommend it. Some of the best pizza you can get this from like mom-and-pop shops and this is one of those. Pizzas taste great and the employees are very nice.

Yummy! I don't know if I have ever had "real" New York pizza, but in my mind it should taste like what I just had at Johnny's Pizzeria. The sauce had tang, the pepperoni was a little bit spicy, there was a thin layer of stretchy cheese and the crust was nice and fold-able. I had two huge slices and a drink for $6 for lunch and was really pleased. The staff (possibly owners) were friendly and took the time to ask how it was. The place could have used a little more ambiance, but for a cheap yummy slice it was perfect. I will be back for sure.

I just bought a slice of cheese pie for the first time from Johnny's. It is a pleasant surprise to discover good-tasting pizza in the Dayton area. The only other viable option so far for me is the napoletana-style pizza baked fresh at Dorothy Lane Market. Kudos to both establishments.

I had to join yelp just to review this place. It's disgusting, to me, that Johnny's page isn't overrun with positive reviews. What are you people waiting for? If you're looking for casual Italian food go to Jimmy's Italian Kitchen. If you're looking pizza go to Johnny's. That's it. Every time I shell out $20 bucks for an 18 inch pie I'm convinced I'm stupid and it can't possibly be worth it. But every time I get that pie home (actually.. the moment the smell fills the car) I realize that I should be beaten, for my doubts, about the head and face. It's not cheap because if it was you wouldn't appreciate it properly and, because of its awesomeness, it would be a good value at twice the price.

Pretty good pie. A nice attempt at NY-style pizza. Again, I like to order a plain cheese pizza, because if they can't get this right, why bother with other toppings (exceptions of course would be white pizza, or some other something-other-than-red sauce style)? Their sauce and cheese is right on the money NY-style. The slices are good sized, easily foldable. My only complaint was the crust. It was just a little too thick and "soft". It didn't have that crispy-crunchy-chewy feel to it. Perhaps it was a bit undercooked, but it didn't look to be based on how the cheese looked. Perhaps it's the oven - conveyor style which I don't think bakes as well as a stone hearth (yes, I do know something about pizza ovens). Overall it still beats the hell out of most pies in Dayton, and I'll defintely go again. But for my money there are a couple of others in the area that I'd rate above this, including one in West Chester. Maybe I'll ask for a little extra baking time next order. (This has nothing to do with the food quality, but the layout of the "kitchen" drove me nuts. The pizza prep area is to the right of the conveyor-stye oven, as you face inside the store. The pizzas get loaded from the left. They had to carry the prepared pies over to the other side in order to load them. Talk about wasted motion! I do believe these ovens can be put into "reverse". It would make so much more sense if the pizzaioli could just turn and drop the pies on the conveyor, and the helper could pull off the finished pies from the other end.)

Love Love Love this pizza! They put a ton of toppings and the crust was nice and thin...perfect!
