I love this little place! It has such great food and technically it's not really "Chinese" on their menu it says they specialize in Szechuan Hunan and Cantonese Cuisine. Either way it's delish. You can dine in or carry out and most people carry out, it is a very small dining space with only 4 tables or so. But myself would much rather take it home to enjoy with a movie. The prices are great you can get a lot of food for just $25. I'm ordering 5 different options including 2 appetizers, a soup and two different combination platters that come with fried rice and egg rolls. My total is only going to be around $25. Your best bet is to call in and place your order so it's about ready by time you get there. But if you have never been go there and pick up a menu to take home with you, an order you up some grub. Wait time isn't to terrible but if you have other people in front and call ins it takes a bit longer.

Good takeout. I would say that is probably one of the better choices in the area, since the prices and amount you get are in good balance. Flavors are normal, but nothing outstanding.

My family loves this place. The folks who run it are very sweet too. Good food at a great price.

It was standard take out Chinese food. The portions were generous for the price.

Good food and reasonable prices, the place looked clean. We got two entrees, dumpling and fried wontons for another $25.00.

Excellent food, great prices. Best of it's kind in the area. The downfall with all takeout Chinese places, though, is the ambience.

Very good food overall, very friendly staff! Would give five stars except for the only thing that is not so great is the hot and sour soup. Needs vinegar or something is missing. Otherwise very good Chinese food!

Delicious! We've been searching high and low for a good Chinese food place in the area since we moved here from Florida about three years ago, and this place seems to take the cake! We ordered about 60 dollars worth of food to feed our family of five tonight, and the food went over very well. The crab ragoons are delightful, and the mixed veggies with garlic sauce are to die for! My husband enjoyed his triple delight, and the kids enjoyed lo mein noodles with shrimp. Well worth the cost.

New to the area and have ordered from here a few times and have also ate there once. It's a pretty decent Chinese food place, especially around here. I don't really care for their chowmein (sp?) but everything else is pretty good. Pretty good I pricing too! I had my in-laws & brother/sister + kids all at my house one weekend, we ordered 6 entrees & (came with a bunch of rice) and a few appetizers. She didn't tell me the price over the phone but when I went to pick it up it was only $45!! And she threw in a thing of cream cheese wontons for free! The reason why this place isn't a 5 is because although the food is great the lady who runs the place isn't the friendliest. Doesn't welcome you, say thank you when you tip her, or say good bye. But that won't stop me from trying to get some type of reaction out of her. Regardless it's a pretty good place for take-out, especially around here.

I've eaten at Peking House many times. The food was always great. Today was a different story. Perhaps it was because a different chef made my meal or it may have been because I ordered something different than my normal meal. I will go back again. I am hoping it was my choice for my meal.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Best chinese on beechmont! Try the egg rolls. Large portions, quick takeout service.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
