The owners have gone extreme anti-gun, advocating that people should have their guns forcibly taken away (see photo from their Facebook page). If they were simply asking customers not to concealed carry in their establishment, I could respect that, but they've decided to make themselves a sounding board for politics, advocating for gun confiscation from innocent people. They will never get my business again.

Not at all what the outside looks like Nice deli with great selection of beers. Lunch - sissy turkey Reuben with fries came to $9.57 w/o tip. Was perfect amount of food - especially with 275 more miles until next destination. Will be back next time I come thru the area.

LOVE this place. I'd actually give it a 4.5 bc its pretty small and they havent opened up the outdoor patio yet so it gets CRAMPED and the wait can be long. As for the food.....shooooooooooooot its BOMB! I would totally recommend ANY sandwich or the pizza. You seriously cannot go wrong with the sandwiches. you HAVE to get the corn beef/pastrami sammy. Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to come back and sit on the back patio. The bartenders were awesome too! Shouts to scottie!

An absolute gem I got the bath 3 alarmer and my date got the turkey Reuben I thought I had ordered the perfect sandwich until I tried hers. Both were so good I couldn't decide.. About to finish it off with key lime cheesecake

Great little place. Loved the patio out back. Quiet but welcoming. Pizza was very good and nice selection of beers.

Super quaint place and the food is excellent! You may have to wait a bit for a table but it is well worth it. I have had a couple of their sandwiches and they are giant size! You can definitely take part of it home for lunch the next day. The pizza is amazing too. I highly recommend you stop in

Fun place to go for drinks or a sandwitch. If you love extra extra cheese on your pizza order it, it you don't like that much cheese save your time and get a sandwich

Great homemade chips & ranch dressing kicked off our meal. Followed by great burgers, Reuben's & mac & cheese. Good service.

Love this place! Don't leave without trying their pizza. I've been here several times both for brunch and dinner. Brunch has a lot of unique options. Potato pancakes eggs Benedict was delicious. My favorite food there is the pizza. I know they aren't really known for their pizza but they definitely should be. The dessert there was ok, nothing to write home about. But I'll definitely be back again.

If you are seriously hungry and looking for seriously good food, this is the place to go. Huge sandwich and burger menu with inventive and unique combinations. Excellent Mac n Cheese! I've had several different hot sandwich combos and burgers they were all good. The philly steak n cheese , good but greasy. I would have given 5 stars, but the food had a lot of grease this last time, it needs to be better drained before serving. In spite of that, the food is good, service great, and guaranteed you will not leave hungry!!

Four years ago when I moved to Fairlawn, I set out in search of the best local pizza. I found it at Gasoline Alley. Their margarita pie + pepperoni is my favorite. We always get an extra side of sauce and shredded parmesan on the side. We load it up and crush this pizza with a fork and knife! Their sandwiches are excellent as well, and their fries... I never order fries, except when I'm here. It's a convenient location to boot - only a half a mile off the Ghent Rd exit on I-77. Check it out!

This was kind of a word of mouth place, by driving by you just might not stop unless you know what it is. 1.Great cozy lunch/dinner spot, not too big but come at a non busy time it works! 2.Everything we have had here is so good. 3. The staff was very personable we sat the bar counter before and it was great. 4. Carrot Cake is so AMAZING!

I wanted to give more stars because everyone at our table had a great time and enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, the service is quite lacking. Let's start off with the good news: the sandwiches are awesome, the beer selection is good and reasonably priced, and the fries are pretty good. I had their turkey Reuben sandwich while my associate had the BLT. We both really enjoyed the sandwiches, and the fries that came along with it were pretty good, too. I had a few Breckenridge summer ales that are reasonably priced, came in a frosted glass, and my associate had a lovely, cold Fat Tire. The children had fries and pizza and were pretty happy with it. Now, for the other shoe. We had quickly ordered the meals for the children in order to get them situated and to keep them from disturbing everyone else who was sitting in the area. Unfortunately, the staff decided to wait until bringing our meals, which we had ordered 15 minutes or so after we had ordered the children's meals. It also took many attempts and many requests to get drinks refilled or beers replenished. From our observations, it did not seem we were the only ones suffering from waitress neglect. The waitresses kept coming back to ask how things were, but were always coming back empty handed with, "oh, I forgot." Pretty frustrating. So close, yet...

What more can I add to the long list of happy customer but agree! Try the "home made style" fried zucchini" appetizer. excellent !

An impressively extensive sandwich menu and some fine cocktails make Gasoline Alley a fun little joint (and I mean little, with no more than a dozen tables). Last time we went we tried the Moscow Mule and the Bloody Mary. The Mule was good if a bit on the weak said, and the Mary was HUGE, served with a celery stalk skewered with everything from a picked pepper to a cocktail shrimp. They have more sandwiches than you could eat in a year's-worth of visits. A fair time all around!

Of the main drag is a hip joint called Gasoline Alley. This stellar establishment serves delicious sandwiches, salads, and more. I am always satisfied and refueled!! There is also a great selection of spirits to compliment the diverse menu. I highly recommend this place to people who are looking for a place to eat and be merry.

We enjoy shopping on the Fairlawn "strip" (all the way down to West Point Market) and recently jumped off I-77 at Ghent and found this restaurant near the intersection. It's an old converted gas station that serves a wonderful collection of sandwiches, salads, "real meals" and other deli-fare. We've been there several times. Everything we've eaten there has been first-rate. Service is very competent (the servers are deli-busy and move quickly). Portions are very big. Last meal was the Bath Three Alarmer, which was great. Another reviewer called it an "awesome gem." I ditto that.

This is a favorite spot with plenty of parking even if the parking lot is a mess. The service is just great, good beer selection and a menu with plenty of varitey.

One of our favorite local spots. Great beer selection! The menu is diverse and large. My go-to is the havarti and portabella burger. Down sides are the tiny space and limited seating. They usually turn tables pretty quickly, though. Not a good spot larger groups.

With Daily Specials That Are Out of This World, You Will Never Get Bored Here! A full menu with sandwiches GALORE, with cute names of course =0) Amazing full service bar with daily drink specials this will become you favorite hang out place. The staff is always friendly and quick on their feet. Portions are plentiful and leftovers are common. Everything one the menu is awesome. From the turkey ruben to the carrot cake you can't go wrong!

Before i moved to NY and back I used to come here after skateboarding with friends. Eric was always our bartender and he made the best Cocain Ladies i have ever had. the food is good and the atmosphere is friendly. I love going here too bad it's a lil out of the way now.

So my experience here started off as positive...nice vibe good decor. The person that seated us said happy hour special was $1 off drafts but by the time the check rolled around they informed us that oh well that 1 beer wasn't on special even though it was on draft. The waitress was told we were informed by host all draft $1 off but she wouldn't honor it... False advertising! If you don't honor what you said then unfortunately we wouldn't return to that establishment.

Charming Ohio pub meets Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This is my husband's stomping ground for meeting up with high school friends when home for the holidays. It's always bustling with generously sized patrons eating generously sized portions! I feel like a midget in here. But when in Ohio on a blustery cold December night, why not indulge in some good cheer? Food is so-so at best, but what it lacks in culinary finesse, it makes up for in that good old-fashioned stick-to-your-ribs fare, served with sides of recognition from Christmases long, long ago ("Didn't I know you from..." and "I think I remember your sister from..." ). And really, isn't that what returning home for the holidays is all about?

    (3)
  • Dan S.

It's got all of the charm of a place that would fit right in on Diners, Drive-in's, and Dive's. As the name suggests there's all sorts of gasoline and oil memorabilia. Anything that is service station related is hanging from, nailed to, or placed on the walls for your eyes to view. The service was very fast and attentive. I'm a fan of a server who is bringing you a refill of your soda before your halfway done. The menu is vast with a lot of sandwiches, salads, and entrees to choose from. I chose their pastrami sandwich. You have the option of a "Bully" or "Sissy" sized sandwich. From the descriptions of the Bully I was really hoping for a sandwich piled high like a true deli is known for, but I got the exact opposite. When I order a pastrami sandwich, or corned beef for that matter, I expect the meat to be in the 3 to 4 inch thickness ranges - especially at $11. Aside from that it did taste good. They had a few really nice looking cheesecakes, but we didn't have time to stay for that. All in all it's a "cute" place that is worth going back for, but just don't expect to have any leftovers, and for the price you really should.

One of my absolute favorites. Great food, lots of variety from great deli sandwiches to pizza. Excellent bar and cold beer. The atmosphere is outstanding from the bikes on the ceiling (hence the bicycle bar) to retro signs and decor. The exterior is great too and always decorated for the season. An old gas station with a new life as a local favorite.

Great food, good prices, kind of cramped. I love the character of the place with all the throwback nostalgia on the walls. I just wish it was bigger.

The sandwiches are delicious & huge! I've had the pastrami & the pastrami/corned beef combo since coming here. This is my second time here. If you go away hungry, you've done something wrong!

  • Eric L.

Pizza is New York good. Brunch is Big City good. The bassist from Baby Bear works here so you can fan girl out about that. There are bikes hanging from the ceiling and a great beer list. I heart you Gasoline Alley. I heart you. No. No. I'm IN heart with you.

The best part of my experience at Gasoline Alley was being able to sit on the patio on a gorgeous Saturday in Akron. The food comes in a close second, but I was just really in the mood to sit outside on this particular day. I came with a group of 12 and although we called ahead, our waitress seemed to be incredibly overwhelmed with our group. Service was pretty slow, but that didn't stop us from having a fun time on the patio. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and it was a generous portion with a lot of chicken. I really enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best salad I've ever had. That being said, prices are reasonable and service is friendly. Just don't come with too large of a group or you will be waiting for a while.

I have been here twice. The first time I was blown away, the second time I was disappointed. The disappointment, I assure you, does not come from lack of personality. This place is chock-full of personality, with all kinds of memorabilia hanging on the walls and ceiling, including bikes and I keep thinking there was a go-kart. If service was slow one night, you wouldn't notice because you'd have time to look around at the decor. The first time I went I got a turkey sandwich(I think a BLT, but I can't remember) and it blew me away. It was like $9 but well worth it. It was large and juicy, with excellent flavor in the turkey. Great first impression, so I decided to return. The second time I got a steak sandwich and this was a different story. While it wasn't bland, there wasn't much going on. The steak was pretty plain and forgettable, so that was a little disappointing. But I wouldn't use that to judge the restaurant, just that plate. If that's how it's always served, it's not very good.

We have always liked Gasoline Alley for its good food, good prices & fun atmosphere. However, we recently ate on the deck for the first & that was a terrific experience. The deck offers a wonderful view of the woods & is quite idllylic.

What's that sound? Or lack thereof? Oh yeah, that's my heart stopping because I just shoved a pita full of salami, pepperoni, a thick slice of tomato, three inches of lettuce, and a massive slice of cream cheese into my pie hole. This was a double fist-er of a sandwich. And this was the "sissy" sized option. My hubby opted for the full version of the Italian Stallion sandwich which I believe was called like, Butch or Brawny or something with a "B" that totally escapes me. He took it on like he was Adam on Man vs Food. Hunched over, focused, meat sweats hitting him hard about the 2/3rd mark. But he was victorious over the 8 oz of meat and half inch slice of mozzarella. The staff was sweet and refilled our beverages often. They have the cute gasoline themed decorations and Cleveland/Ohio sports memorabilia covering the walls. All LeBron pictures have 5 cent price tags with the words "we'll even pay you" written below, clearly showing the signs of a region licking it's wounds. Stay Strong NE Ohio and Gasoline Alley. I hope to return, if ever in this part of the country again.

Ok, I'll just say it. The only thing wrong with this place is the restrooms. They're clean, don't get me wrong, but old and in a really weird spot. You have to go back through a small storage area to get to them. It's uncomfortable, especially if someone is coming through the same corridor. Otherwise, this is a place worth going to. Quaint but great food.

  • Joe H.

The food was great. The service was awful. Example: Waitress took my drink for refill and completely forgot to get me a new one. 15 minutes later after I was done eating I had to remind her I had nothing to drink. We will order carry out for sure next time.

Went for the first time for an early dinner on a Friday during the holidays. The parking lot was packed, so I was expecting a long wait, but we were seated right away. Upon entering, we were greeted by a delicious looking dessert case with huge cakes and cookies. None of us had room to try any, so I can't say how good they actually taste. One confusing thing I noticed when we walked in was that there were 3 boards scattered around that all sort of listed the daily specials, but none of them said the same thing. I had a veggie pita with fries and a side of coleslaw, and my husband and friend both had burgers. The pita was packed with probably close to a lb of spinach. The fries were good, and I liked having the condiments and napikins at the table. The coleslaw was an add-on, and something I wouldn't order again. The slaw had good flavor, but was too soupy. Also, the portion was HUGE. Way too much slaw for one person to enjoy eating, and this is from someone who loves coleslaw. The guys said their burgers were good, but not spectacular. They did look quite large. Onion rings were above average. I saw many other tables getting pizza, which looked really good. I would have given a 4 for the food alone, but the overall experience was definitely no better than 3. For one, our waitress was not very nice. She seemed like she was in a really bad mood, and was not at all helpful when I asked about what types of drinks they have. As a side note, they don't list any of the non-alcoholic beverages anywhere on the menu, which is super annoying. Another odd thing was that our first round of drinks (2 waters and a coke) all had a weird taste. We sent them back and the refills were fine, but then our later refills were weird tasting again. I don't know what was going on with that. And my last complaint is the bathroom layout. You pretty much have to walk into the kitchen to get to the bathrooms, which wouldn't have been as big of a deal if all the servers didn't glare at me every time I was passing through.

    (3)
  • Dawn F.

The food here is delish - the burgers are a bit greasy, but cooked to order and juicy. The onion rings are my second favorite around. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that the service tends to be a little slow - almost as if they are perpetually one person down. The waitstaff is very friendly, the issue is that you get seated and then wait... Finish your meal and then wait... Don't let this deter you though. We've never had a bad meal here.

  • Jessica I.

This place is so popular that my review almost feels pointless, but here goes anyway. They're doing above-average bar food with care here. We started with excellent clams and sauerkraut balls, which were basically fried reubens (that's a good thing!). For mains, I had a great pan-fried walleye special and my husband had a perfectly cooked-to-order burger with a nice char on the outside. Tap selection was solid. The only misstep was, very oddly, the fried food. My hand-cut fries were floppy and flaccid, and my husband's onion rings were a bit soggy with batter. Maybe the fryer was on the fritz because it seems like a kitchen that good wouldn't make beginner mistakes like that. Great place overall.

  • Randy S.

This is one of those places that I want to give a really good review. It's got a lot of the elements that make for a high review, but it failed to maintain that for our entire dining experience. To me, it seemed to be in an unexpected location. It's fairly small on the inside but it has a cool, quirky atmosphere. It was ironic that bicycles hang from the ceiling but yet it's called Gasoline Alley. The waiting area is basically nonexistent and it is a bit awkward standing by the door directly behind a table. Of course, they were the first to leave so we got to sit at that table. We had a party of 3 but had 5 chairs at the table. Normally, that means nothing but our server came to the table soon after we sat down. She asked if more were coming and we said no so she take away the chair and didn't come back for about 5 minutes to get our drink order. She wasn't rude but she also wasn't that friendly. She finally came back and we got our orders in. She brought our drinks and then we waited and waited and waited. Not once did she come over and say that our food was almost ready or anything. I wondered if she forgot to put it in. It's not as if we ordered food that takes a really long time. We ordered a hot pastrami sandwich, a reuben & a reuben burger. I don't know how long the wait was, but I would estimate that it was close to 30 min. I could be overestimating but it did seem that it took much longer than it should have. She finally brought the food and never apologized at all for the long wait. She never refilled any drinks the entire time we were there. She just seemed like she was tired the whole time and didn't feel like working. I've worked in retail and restaurants and it sucks dealing with customers when you're tired. But you still have to put a smile on your face and just deal with it. Don't let your problems ruin your customers' experience. The food was great, but at that point I was a bit annoyed at how long it took to get there. My pastrami was loaded with plenty of meat and the cheese was melted to perfection on it. I could eat another one of those. The others at the table said their food was excellent too. I would try this place again but hope for a better experience with the server although I noticed some of the reviews had similar complaints. The food gets a 4. Service gets a 1.5 leading me to give the place a 3 because the food is always the most important part.

    (3)
  • Donnell S.

The service is spotty. The food is okay but my sandwich has never been nearly as packed with meat as some pictures show. The bloody mary has lots of fun things stuck to the celery stalk but the drink itself is average. The menu is huge. The environment is cozy. It's a good place to hang out.

  • Leah N.

At 11:45AM on a Sunday, I have no reason to give Gasoline Alley anything less than 5 stars. Add this to the list of amazing places I wish I had found sooner. The service was friendly and not overbearing. Everything was quick to arrive as well. It wasn't crowded but by the time we left an hour left the place was full. I imagine you'd have a bit of a wait then but it'd be worth it. The beer list is great, something for everyone. It was Derby Day when we went so I tried a mint julep. VERY strong! The bartender even came over to ask how it was, nice service. Portions were very large and I couldn't even finish my sandwich. I had a tuna melt, fiance had a rueben and we shard an order of fries. All amazing, fresh and very filling. Definitely worth checking out but be prepared, it does get packed!

    (5)
  • Stacey T.

I would give it a 3.5 if possible. It's a great place to come for a good sandwich. They have a huge list to choose from. The Reuben is always a safe choice. However, it's definitely inconsistent in quantity of meat on the sandwich. Sometimes the sandwiches are piled high with meat and cheese. Other times there are just a couple of prices. Their sour kraut balls are a must as they are more like little mini Reuben balls. Their mac and cheese is delicious and artery clogging. The pizza is nothing special. The decor is very eclectic and makes you feel very relaxed. However, the whole place is quite small, but have never really had to wait to get a table. Their water also has a very funky taste.

Despite the variety on the menu, it's all good! Go hair of the dog here; do not rehydrate. The drinks are better than the water.

  • Karen H.

We were disappointed with this place, although not by the food, which was fine. From a presentation perspective, one would hope that a 'sissy' sandwich (if I am remembering the correct term from the menu I saw yesterday) would be an actual sandwich, just not as robust-not a half sandwich with an eighth of a kosher pickle. For two of these half sandwiches (one corned beef, one pastrami) which were supposedly grilled (although it seemed as though the grilling was light), we paid about $22 with tip. That, in my opinion, is excessive. This is Akron, Ohio, not Manhattan. The decor is okay, service was fine, but really, folks...stop with the half sandwiches! There are other local delis whose corned beef and pastrami is wonderful and whose prices are a little more realistic. I nearly laughed when the waitress brought us our plates. I am not a big eater, but it's the principle of the thing. The final straw was the anemic pickle.

Beer, bicycles, burgers, what's not to love. They have my favorite beers And are generous with the portions. I have been here 3 times and had a good meal in a fun setting each time.

The food here is really nice, and it's got an vibrant, active feel. The only complaint: not enough seats. So many times we've thought about going but the just drive past when the parking lot is even remotely full.

Being new to Akron, I'm up to trying all the hot spots. I like this spot a lot and I can see my friends liking it too. The decor and location have a cool feel... Interesting enough. The menu variety is huge although today I craved the good ole fish sandwich and (very good) fries... Great for a hangover lunch! The portions are big, the service was pleasant & the prices were reasonable. I'll be back

I love the decor. So fun. And a cup of Whitey's chili is always delicious. I just wished they served it at a hotter temperature. It was lukewarm when it arrived. French fries were disappointing...they were soggy. They tasted good but who wants limp fries.... Limp anything sucks...ha ha.

This is one of them awesome gems you find from time to time lingering around in a small town. Decor is great, filled to the roof withing old bikes, gasoline pumps, signs, old oil cans, and the whole nine. They have a nice full bar, even spotted some Yamazaki 12 on the shelf! Though I did not drink here I could see how this would be a nice place to come and have a few while watching a ball game and keeping warm. The food, well All I can say is sandwich heaven! I think I counted a good 40+ you can browse through. All sorts from you traditional to not so traditional. But nevertheless, this place has a BIG menu of sandwiches and they are good! They also serve burgers and pizza's. I opt'd for the Sandwiches as this is clearly 90% of their menu!

If you can find a seat, this is a gem of a restaurant. Nice casual atmosphere, and some really good food. Lots of stuff on the menu, with lots of sandwiches. We ate here on Father's Day. My wife and I both had pastrami-type sandwiches (I don't recall the exact names), but both were awesome! My son had a good burger, and my daughter had a very tasty white pizza.

Gasoline Alley in Bath is a favorite lunch spot of ours. The menu features a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches (think awesome deli-style) as well as burgers and other pub-style bread-dwelling delicacies. They have hot foods as well, but I have honestly not felt the need to depart from the sandwiches. The Big Daddy Rueben is my favorite by far. It comes in two sizes - Sissy (half) and Bully (full). They staff has an easy time shaming you - in front of your family, friends or colleagues - to order the Bully even if it's way more than you can eat. Who wants to eat a portion called the sissy? Other favorites are the Eggplant sandwich, any burger and Ghent-leman's Club. The fries and onion rings are great but portions are huge. A basket to share is a good plan. Beware of two things: First - This spot is small. Don't plan on getting a table reliably between 11:30 and 1 on weekdays. Second - the water tastes like copper. Carry out is also a great option.

I was in town for business and looking to eat elsewhere that night ( some Winking Lizard place) but ended up here as the other place was ridiculously crowded. Gas Alley had gotten some good reviews for their Sammy' s so I figured I couldn't go wrong eating here. Their menu was enormous, with pages of sandwiches to choose from. It's not a huge place and it was a bit off the main traffic area, but in the end was worth the trip. Is it the best place I've ever eaten? No, but if you are looking for a decent burger, or specialty sandwich, this is a good place to look up if you are in Akron.

Better service would make this place perfect. The food is amazing, and there is a wide variety of options. The fried pickles are amazing and really unhealthy. :) The beer list is extensive and they have many good kinds of beer on draft. They also have great mixed drinks. The problem with Gasoline Alley is that some servers seem confused because of the tight space and don't know who is supposed to be seated in what order. Our table was given away about 3 times until we mentioned that we had been waiting for over an hour (when they told us 20 minutes). They then tried to kick out the table they had sat instead of us, but we just told them it was fine and sat at the bar. I feel like our meal should have been comped for that. Or at least a free dessert? The waiters and bartenders were also complaining a lot behind the bar (which all the customers noticed). I feel like you should keep that to yourself until the night is over. I feel bad for the manager (or owner?) who runs around like crazy trying to make everyone happy. Hes great. He needs to have a talk with his other employees possibly.

This place is in the house like furniture. Their menu length rivals the Old Testament and everything on it is great. The prices seem a little high but the portions are huge. Split it with a friend and get a dessert...you will be plenty full. The waitresses are older ladies with a bit of an attitude; but, I guess they know they can be with the quality of food they serve. The place looks like a hole in the wall and it is. No fancy decor here...just great fresh made food served up quickly. If you are in the area, stop by - you WONT be disappointed.

A friend of mine took me to lunch here once, and I've been hooked ever since. I love love love delis, and this is a good one. But it's not just a deli, the burgers, mussels and salads are all really good too. And the fries! I love that they have bottles of vinegar on the tables for the fries. Delicious. It's really small inside, but it definitely adds a little something. The place is always packed, and in nice weather you can get your stuff to go and eat it on the picnic tables they have set up out front.

Five stars because the food is great, the menu options are many and service is great. Our favorite place to eat with our young boys. Get the chips and dip to start, a cold beer and then take your time to study the menu. My go to is the sassy Sarah...awesome! And the prices are reasonable.

Great Saloon. I love sitting at the bar. I go there at least once a week for dinner. The food is great, the atmosphere is excellent. The menu is huge and they have some pretty hearty specials every day. I typically get an egg white omlette, no cheese and dry toast with 5 different vegetables. They never look at me crooked about this special order. Dave is a great bartender and they have Hi Def TVs to watch the Cavs. Love this place. Only negative is that is small and always full. I think this adds to the atmosphere. I was there once and it was dead and it wasnt as much fun.

I love going here! The only two things I can complain about are pretty hard to fix. 1.When it rains, the well water tastes awful. We usually plan to grab a bar drink when going here so we don't risk it. Not an issue for us but not everyone can over look this. 2. Sometimes there is a short wait and there is literally no where to go to wait besides in the middle of everyone's dinner. But, this is one of those places where you crave your favorite sandwich or dish and would really miss if you moved away. We often enjoy sitting at the bar here as the bartenders make it a point to talk to you like a friend, how sitting at a bar should be.

Me and my work crew were dead set on going here after our job for lunch. Until We seen the reviews about their stance against our constitutional rights to bear arms. I will not support a business that does not support America's founding values and principals. Everyone should vote with their dollars by supporting businesses that support the American way of life.

Food is amazing and servers are the best :) I would know... my mom used to work here! All the people here giving bad reviews are personally offended by silly things. Restaurants are about food. Not gun laws. #justsayin

It was packed as usual when we arrived. We ordered some beers and our burgers. Nothing out of the ordinary. After half the place left we were still left waiting at least 15 minutes for our food. The server had no problem walking around voicing her opinion that it was taking way too long for medium cooked burgers. Never saw a manager and I doubt she had talked to one. I find it hard to believe nobody was in the kitchen asking where the food was for open tickets? Me and my wife have dined her quite a bit and it's always packed. We often visit places that are packed and we expect a wait. That's why we often have a few beers relax and talk but when the talk turns to wtf is taking so long and the place has emptied out, it's very disappointing. Maybe it was just one bad night. I don't know the circumstances but it'd had been nice if a manager or someone at least apologized. The server did it half-heartedly. It honestly didnt seem very sincere. I don't ask for things to be comped or anything but this time I expected it. I was disappointed that the server was hesitant to do anything about it. I know servers don't have the ability to comp items however I didn't see a manager help her comp 10$ off either. I guess management was not there that night? It'd at least be nice that after guests clear out the ones still waiting for food are served instead of guests seemingly taking a smoke break. I most probably won't be back.

We were looking for somewhere "different" to go to than our usual haunts and had heard this was a good place. Not hard to find, although it was dark outside and crowded when I arrived and wasn't sure where to park. Looked like some people were making their own spots and using up way too much room in the process, but I managed. When we walked in, we were blown away with the number of people stuffed into this tiny, cramped space. I didn't count the tables, but seemed to be about 12 or so--all full--and standing room only at the bar which was 2 people deep and blocking all thoroughfare through that side of the place. Wasn't sure what to think--if the place was that good or the service that bad or just so tiny it seemed more than it was. Not even entirely sure it would be safe in an emergency evacuation. The only waiting room was either right in front of the double doors or just outside the door in an enclosed area. It was cold out so we stayed inside but felt awkward waiting for a table while looking at everyone else eating and having a good time--2 tables were butted pretty much right up to the door so I almost felt I was standing at their table. If I were sitting there, I think I would feel weird about people standing there, eye-balling me, and obviously hoping I would leave. There was a sign to seat yourself so I thought it might be a free-for-all when a table did open up since there were other people waiting with no apparent order but someone finally asked for my name and said it would be about 20 minutes. I didn't really want to wait there, but figured by the time we drove somewhere else the time wouldn't matter. Luckily, we didn't wait quite that long and were shown a table that we basically had to shimmy into due to the space restrictions. We decided to walk on the wild side and got the Reuben pizza. I love Reuben's but I wasn't too sure I would like it. Surprisingly, it was not bad and I would eat it again, although it would never be a favorite. Had no problem eating it the next day as leftovers. Our drinks were refilled appropriately, but I have to say the wait for the food was quite long. We were getting impatient. The waitress later let us move to a slightly bigger table (there were only 2 of us) due to someone leaving and the fact that we ordered a large pizza and it would have been a feat to figure out how to eat around the platter. Pizza eaten, we had to wait yet again for our bill, then weren't sure if we were supposed to go up and pay or wait. Our waitress was nice and accommodating, but the wait was just insane. I understand the place was super crowded, but given the small number of tables, I am not sure why the timing for everything took so long. It might not be as crowded if the whole encounter hadn't taken 2 hours. We never sit in a place that long. They could certainly get people out faster and have less people standing around waiting. In fact, it seems almost imperative in a place this size and this busy. Given, also, it was a Saturday and the last shopping weekend before Christmas...I still don't think I would go back. I'm too impatient. And the food was just okay enough. Probably need to try other more traditional fare before commenting on that. However, a restaurant is more than its food and I am turned off by the service and wait time.

The best thing about this place is the food. The atmosphere might not be considered the best by others but I think it's a cool place. I go here all the time because it's five minutes from my house. I highly recommend anything on the menu. Be sure to check out the specials as they are usually excellent. You can't go wrong with pizza or the mussels either. I highly reccommend this place to anyone who likes good food while looking at nostalgia. The driveshaft footrests at the bar are pretty cool and the bikes amazing.

Over rated sandwiches. Great fries. An odd place but nice and friendly. Gets lots of bikers and travelers from the park system.

Went here on a Friday night and it was PACKED. Met another couple and they got there about 20 minutes before us and got a table after waiting that long. As other reviewers have said, the service is pretty terrible. I only saw 2 servers in the place plus 2 bartenders, so it was pretty understandable. Our waitress was nice, but definitely overwhelmed. They had Great Lakes Christmas Ale on tap and my boyfriend thought it was delicious, but they ran out after his second. Huge selection of draft beer and bottles. Also full bar and a large variety of wines. I ordered a turkey sandwich with fries, unfortunately they were out of sweet potato fries, but their regular ones were delicious. They did come out cold, but after waiting about 30 minutes to even order them, I wasn't complaining. Threw on some malt vinegar and they were good to go. My boyfriend got the small buffalo chicken pizza and it was AWESOME. Could feed 2 normal humans, but we were starving so it didn't take long for a single man to basically take down the entire pizza, give or take a couple slices. He loved all the sports memorabilia and "stuff" on the walls. They also had a few tvs playing the Cavs game. The other couple order wings as an app and my brother, a member of said couple, got a burger. It was inhaled in 2.5 seconds so I am guessing it was good. His girlfriend got mac and cheese and sent it back because she said it was disgusting. She switched it for penne and loved the second choice. Dinner for 2 with 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine was approx $60 with a 20% tip. The Christmas Ale and wine were $6 a glass so that quickly brought the total up, dinner was about $10 a piece. Overall I'd come here again, but during the week or on lunch. Definitely not for dinner. We hung out at the bar after dinner and the bartender was a nice guy, very attentive after the crowd cleared.

Stopped in at about 4pm after some Xmas shopping..it was our 1st time here.they had a very extensive menu mostly deli sandwiches and burgers and pizza offerings..I had the 3 alarm sandwich pastrami, corned beef, coleslaw it was good but portion size was very small.nothing like the picture on yelp site. My wife got a pizza Florentine which she liked but for 14$ small in size .she liked it well enough tho..we would come back and give it another try when we head back to the Akron area and see if things are a little better.maybe an off day?

This was a service station that was converted into an absolutely charming tavern/restaurant. The place is filled with fun kitsch, including old paper boy bikes hanging from the ceiling. The menu has a wide variety of burgers and deli sammiches-- some of which are quite innovative, some are classic. I got a "sissy sized" Reuben. At half the size of their monster Reuben, it was more than enough for me to eat. Mon cher chou got a club sammy that was too big to finish. The clam chowdah was fab. It was packed with clams and --oh my --bacon! They were also kind enough to accommodate my daughter with a bowl of buttered pasta with freshly ground Parmesan and huge slabs of grilled garlic toast. The service is excellent. The waitresses are genuinely very warm and friendly. My pop was never more than half empty before a refill appeared. There were several families for Sunday lunch. There is a full bar, so I likely would only take my child there for an early dinner.

And again, I've been disappointed. My last review was saying how the place was going down hill. Well it's just about hit bottom. I ordered a Fat Boy (burger) and asked for it medium-rare. What I got was one spatula turn from being a wallet. It was actually burnt to the point that I couldn't eat it. I'm saddened that my favorite place has gone this bad. And although as regulars, the service for us has always been decent, I can't go back until the food situation improves. Sorry David.

Pizza and wings about the best in town. Great place for lunch too....not much chance of finishing your entree!

This place is overpriced and underserved. The breading on the walleye was 3x thicker than the fish. The chili tasted like it was made with leftover hamburgers and the tuna fish sandwich was on a 15-cent bun for which they charged $9.00. And it wasn't a very clean place.

Agree with the first reviewer about the draw of the place and its great food. I would expand my comments beyond burgers. This place has a massive, creative, mouthwatering menu. Clam chowder was first rate; sauteed mussels, out of this world, especially the broth; sandwiches are right up there with the best deli sandwiches in Manhattan. We're eager to go back and hit more of the menu - its going to take a while. Love it.

OK, I'll admit it. This is another restaurant where I only order burgers. It's not that the rest of the menu doesn't look good, it's just that the burgers are very good. This is a wonderful little restaurant in a great location, with great food and atmosphere. Slightly upscale crowd, but a downscale (in a good way) place. I wish it was bigger, but the smallness adds to the feel of the joint. Bottom line: If you want a burger or some classic American food, with a lot of chotchkies (sp?) on the wall, skip the bulls**t packaged corporate fakes like TGIF Friday's, Applebees, Champps, etc. and head to one of the originals--Gasoline Alley.
