Stopped here for a quick lunch and was not satisfied at all. Ordered my typical pizzeria two slices and a drink. Slices were too greasy, the crust, though crispy was paper thin. For me, the sauce could make or break pizza and theirs was lacking in flavor because there was so little of it. Maybe their entrees and pastas are good but as far a pizza goes, I wouldn't come back again. Reminded me of upstate New York or out of state pizza.

First & last visit. The pizza was burnt & greasy! The crust was dry n tasteless, sauce was gross !You know if the pizza sucks, the rest of the food must be the same...

The pasta slice here is amazing. Everything else is just ok. 5 stars just because of the amazing penne alla vodka slice.

I've been going to Amore for take out for about 3-4 years now. Their food is good and their prices comparable to other take out pizzerias in the area. Notwithstanding, two recent events have altered my perception of how this place is managed. A couple months ago, I called and ordered two heros for take out. While I was on the phone, I noticed that they have a promotion on certain nights where you buy two heros and get one free. I asked the girl who was taking my order about it and she confirmed the promotion. I then noticed there was a caveat on their menu indicating the shrimp heros were excluded. I asked about that because one of the heros I wanted was a shrimp parm. She indicated that I could use the promotion, but that the shrimp hero could not be the free one. Fair enough - so I ordered a third hero. In total I had one shirmp parm, one chicken parm and one meatball. When I got there to pick up the order, I noticed that as she rang up my order ticket, the manager (thin guy there who often wears the Rangers hat) took her aside and whispered something to her. I did not think anything about it at the time, paid and left. Shortly after I left, I realized I paid more than expected so I called back. The girl explained that she made a mistake and that she could not give me the promotion and that is why I was charged full price. I asked her if that is what she was talking to the manager about and she said yes. I was taken back because it was their error and most places would just let you know it was a mistake and honor it. But they did not even have the courtesy to talk to me about it; rather they pulled a weasel move by making it secretive and just charging me full price. I told her I thought it was tacky for a business to act this way, particularly given the manager knows me as a regular customer. I also mentioned that if I could not use the shrimp parm on the promotion, I still should have received another free hero since I paid for two non-shrimp heros. Why didn't the manger do that instead of just sneaking in the charge and acting shady about it? What made it most disappointing is that he did not even bother to get on the phone with me and she would not do anything. So basically, they gave me misinformation, did not honor the promotion they made the mistake on and were dishonest in that they covered it up and did not offer me the other hero I had coming since I paid for 2 non-shrimp. Extra cheesy.

My go to place for a nice pizza pie. Friendly staff and I like that it's run by a family, not a corporation.

Best pizza place in town! Usually order a plain cheese or 1/2 sausage pie, or Chicken Parm hero. Really surprised by all of the negative reviews posted. Lots of good reviews posted by locals in the Not Recommended Reviews section (check them out!). Go Figure. Service is friendly and welcoming, as one of the 3 brothers who own the place is usually behind the counter. It's a pizza place, not a sit down and order restaurant. Pizza is a little more well done that your typical joint, but I think that makes for an outstanding slice. Sicilian slice is soft and fluffy. I highly recommend stopping in.

Best pizza in town. Don't understand the negative reviews. I only order pizza from Amore. I don't get kitchen orders. No other pizza place in the area even comes close to their plain cheese pie. It should be the standard by which all others are measured.

went a week ago, they should learn to throw stuff out when it sits for that long, maybe fresh would be better, but tastes like generic canned sauce. Ditzy girl at the counter didnt know anything, other guy staring at his smartphone as she struggled, finally a spanish guy, i think a prep chef or something helped me, very nice guy... why have someone useless at the counter if she doesn't even know what things are or how much they cost.? im guessing girlfreind of smart phone idiot. Such a shame cause i went to this place for years in the past, maybe its new management/no management, would be perfect candidate for a restaurant impossible episode. With so many places within a 2 mile radius not trying=not getting my hard earned money!

Amore is fine, there are some better pizza places out there, but they are decent when it comes down to pizza. A tad on the greasy side, but the construction of the pizza is solid and it tastes okay. But they're usually open pretty much all the time and delivery is FAST, which is nice! On the cusp of Hurricane Sandy, we lost power and we called around for some pizza to see if any were actually open. Amore was open, and the pizza was at our house in 15 minutes- even as the storm began to pick up around us! Now that is dedication! So all in all it's decent pizza and it gets to your house quickly!

Used to be my favorite pizza place in town, but unfortunately, it is not anymore. The family members that own it are still there, but the recipes have changed. Quality of food and customer service have both declined over the years. Selection is good. Clean and neat. Service is quick. Food doesn't taste fresh. Pizza is dry and cheese is salty. They keep a lot of their food out behind the counter prior to serving, therefore, the food is old. :( Good in a pinch, but definitely not the amazing place it used to be. Prices have gone up as well. Ample parking.

Amore's pizza is by far my favorite pizzeria in the Northport/East Northport area. There are quite a few options to choose from just on Larkfield Rd alone, but since they make their own sauce for pasta and pizza it makes it that much better! Their specials on Mon-Weds makes it that much easier to have italian food once a week. Pinwheels are also pretty good.

Ok Ok Ok Amore is sometimes chosen to bring lunch to the office special thanks to the Sales Rep Connie Meatballs & Spaghetti Is what the Office Agreed On Now how hard is it to make Meatballs & Spaghetti?" HuH? How Hard? They Messed this Dish up so bad that the real Italian's would just turn Over in Their Graves if they saw how they Screwed up a Relatively easy Meal the Meatballs were Tan...No Seriously they were TAN, Should have called them Uncooked Breadcrumb balls terrible even Pink Slime has more beef in it The Spaghetti was ok but the Sauce EEEwwwwHHH the worst who just puts Two cans of Paste on Spaghetti & Calls it Sauce You could tell it was just paste because of the sharp after taste Honestly I'm not gonna take this mess from the Restaurant/Catering Places anymore. The sales reps pay $200 to $300 dollars for Garbage to Be Catered to Offices so if Your Restaurant Delivers Garbage for lunch Im Putting You On BLAST & I MEAN ALL RESTAURANTS!!!! this Food Was Crap! Id never go here whether i was paying or not! PLEASE LEARN HOW TO COOK YOUR FOOD WITH LOVE & EVERYBODY WILL LOVE YOUR FOOD! Yours Truly Rachel Gordon Chef Ramsey Gordon's Protege

I went here for the first time in awhile....and it was pretty bad. Sauce tasted and looked like ketchup....pinwheel was subpar and some kinda random breaded prosciutto that made me gag I don't why...I think there was eggplant in it...and if that wasn't eggplant ehhh..... Should be 1 star but because I'm Loyal will do 2 and go back again to finalize.

Their regular pizza is ok. The crust leaves something to be desired, but the cheese and sauce were decent. Overall their food is very consistent, their staff polite and their delivery fast.

3.5 Stars Amore is located on the intersection of Pulaski and Larkfield road just behind the new 7-11 that just went up and across from the gas station that's always changing names. Amore's pizza overall is quite good and it looks as if they offer a fairly wide selection of quality slices to choose from. As well there is a refrigerated case that houses all of the calzones and pizza rolls etc. A nice touch to see these items kept cold until time of serving. As far as their regular slice it was medium thin and with a nice crisp crust that had a nice level of doneness to it without being burnt and gross. The inside of the place is clean and fairly modest but service at the counter was prompt and polite. A solid sleeper looking pizza joint serving some nice slices. Prices overall are very reasonable making this place a good choice.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
