I work in the area and have been trying different options. Service is pretty good, they seat you and take your drink order. They take plates after your done by the time you get back. The place has seen better days and is stuck in the 90s, literally. Needs a renovation. The bathrooms are straight out a Chinatown back of the alley joint with shit all over the floors in the mens room. The food: Decent, for $9.99 at lunch it is hard to beat. The ice cream was the best part.

OH GOD... After I left the restaurant I thought I'd be nice and leave a 2 star, but upon the effects of my and my wife's gut after we got home, I cannot in good conscience leave anything more than a 1 star. I got to the parking lot at 7pm on a Friday night and the lot was pretty much empty...FIRST warning sign. As I walk to the entrance, the restaurant was gaudy as heck...cheesy, almost self hating...SECOND warning. Walk INTO the restaurant and all the servers were just lazing about near the entrance...THIRD warning. Barley anyone in the restaurant...carpet was old...and you could almost smell the fish from the buffet bar...FOURTH warning. Went up to the buffet, and everything had been sitting out for a while. Since I had a party of 8, we couldn't help but tough some of the food. I think the only thing that had any decent flavor was the walnut shrimp that didn't have any walnuts. Everything else was bland and just your basic Americanized Chinese food that can't even be considered Chinese food. It's for the unwashed, no palette masses that think Chinese food is chicken & broccoli or the insanely red ribs... The worst was the after effects...gut was burning and the gas that was passed was toxic... It was the war of the Dutch oven that night!

First I when I got to place, the interior was very welcoming. As soon as I opened the front door, the amazing smell of freshly cooked snow crab legs wandered into my nostrils. I couldn't wait to dig into the buffet for an all you can eat cheap price of $19. I had the walnut shrimp, peking duck, spare ribs and tried the cold salad bar. Everything seemed like Jackie Chan cooked in himself. Also, I tried their new selection of ice cream which is to die for. Would recommend again 11/10.

Went here for dinner- was pretty excited since I haven't been to a buffet in years. I thought there were decent choices - I got some pieces of sushi (philly roll, cali roll, and shrimp tempura roll), peppersteak, chicken+broccoli, honey chicken, wonton soup, fried rice, etc. For the most part everything looked fresh and tasted good. I do wish there were labels for names at the sushi table so I didn't have to guess what was in each (I'm not too adventurous with sushi) so I just ended up taking what I knew by sight. Dessert they had a variety of cakes/fruits, but I went with Hershey's ice cream which unfortunately (I guess the freezer was unlocked), was basically melted. I think it's a nice restaurant on the outside and inside. Don't expect anything fancy, but definitely worth trying out if in the mood for a buffet/a variety of asian food. I will say I checked yelp beforehand out of curiosity for how much it was, and the prices seemed to vary... but in general seemed like the price was about $12 for the buffet (I guess some of these reviews are outdated or people were referring to lunch) so I was a little disappointed when realizing I had the wrong info going there. I believe its $12 for lunch, and $16 for dinner for adults (not sure for kids).

This one just like other typical cheap Chinese buffet. Never go there again. This one is near my friend's house

I have always passed this place on Old Country Rd but always wondered how the food was inside. I looked up the reviews here but sometimes the reviews aren't always accurate so I had to try it for myself as I love buffets and eat a lot. I came here 2 days ago. When I walked in I liked the ambience and the decoration, pretty decent and clean. I was greeted with nice Waiters and was seated with my bf. I couldn't believe the amount of selections they had and the food was decent to good depending on what you like to eat. I was surprised they actually had a decent sushi selection, the fried one is the best!! And also decent seafood dishes. They even have crab, mussels and clams!!! I was shocked and dove in for all those immediately. And my god they tasted heavenly. They also have a few selection of soups and dim sums which I enjoyed very much as well. At the end I got some green tea and strawberry ice cream which were very delicious, try them with the chinese doughnut it will taste AMAZING! They have a great selection of desserts which weren't really that great though to be honest like the cakes. One of them did tAste very good it was coffee squares dark in color very delicious. I was happy to see a great selection of fruits and salad which is a very big plus for lunch which is only 9.99!!! Soda only 1.50! Unbelievable pricing and food for this price, that I came back the very next day for a longer period of time. The waiters recognized me as I did sit for a long time and eat a lot of food. I did waste food but they didn't give me any dirty looks or anything. I am bringing my whole family here next time!

Same old stale buffet food but $18.99 per person. That's just absurd. Cold food and old sushi. The ice cream was soup and the desserts tasted like cardboard. Never again will I come to this place.

Finally got to try this place and im surprised by some of the comments. The staff was very accommodating. I am allergic to nuts, they were nice enough to make a few special orders with out any nuts and it was absolutely delicious! The gentleman in the front was very attentive-- checked up on us frequently to see how everything was. Even with my food allergy there still were a wide variety of dishes to choose from. As for the ambiance, the lighting and set up were nicely done, felt very warm. There are a bunch of pretty cool wooden carvings around the area, my favorite is the large table in the front entrance! Overall, great food, selection, and service! Will be back!

Visit here a few times already and every time I leave satisfied. No complaints or anything. Great food every visit or else I would be coming back so many times and so often. This is the only buffet I go to since trying out others.

Just left. I've been living in Hicksville for 20 years. Always afraid of coming here . Just spent 10 bucks on a lunch I left 20 total. Not many people inside outside kept very well inside clean food rated 5. It's exactly what you would expect for 10 bucks

Now that I've visited the Asian Buffet I am very surprised by the many poor ratings. 1st of all, the place is attractive. Bright, colorful, and happy. It looked clean and well taken care of. 2nd, there was a large selection of standard Chinese buffet items along with a small Sushi bar. Steam table items were actually hot and were continuously refilled - even the seafood items. The selections included several 'premium' offerings like shrimp and clams. 3rd, the place is cheap. $13.99 on a Saturday night with free tea and only $1.50 for a soda. No mandatory tip. The last, and most important part of my visit was the way we were treated. Both the servers and management were helpful and saw to it that we had a nice time. We will be back.

Well this was the 2nd time I tried this place. First time it was so so but this last time it was horrible. Not worth the money and I spent the night sick in the bathroom. My son didn't want to eat because of the smell and they stalked us to make sure nothing went into his mouth. Thank goodness he didn't eat because my mother and I were sick afterward. I will not be returning.

This place looks really nice from the outside but the food is cold and not that tasty. There selection is small. It used to be better than this. For the price you pay it's not worth coming here. It's $12.99 for lunch on Saturday. You better off go to Flaming Grill in Baldwin. It's much cheaper.

This review is for their lunch menu only, as I have only sample their lunch dishes and not their dinner dishes. Verdict: for $10 lunch that will fill you up with unlimited delicious food and drink, it will suffice your everyday need. Just don't expect anything fancy for ten bucks. My company has recently moved to the Hicksville area and I have been trying out local restaurant during lunch time to see what this area offers. Asian buffet has been the big elephant that it stands out in the street when compared to other restaurants, I was hesitant to try it out at first as it seems lifeless from the outside; especially looking at its large and rather empty parking lot... Inside the restaurant was somewhat better than the outside, although the decor seems outdated and reminds you of a take out restaurant feel. If you can survive long enough to walk through the door and brave enough to reach the buffet stations; then you'll reach the highlight in this place. The buffet offers most of the lunch menu that you will see on any take out restaurant, plus some fried dish and extensive cold dish with a desert station. They do have a small station for Japanese sushi, it is surprisingly fresh if you have the guts to try it. I have personally found the sweet and sour fish, and the sizzling chicken to be the highlight for my palate, the black bean baby clam and pepper steak are also excellent. They do keep the dishes fresh and they are delicious, the waitstaff is attentive and friendly as well. If you are looking for a simple place for a quick, affordable everyday food this is definitely a good choice. Just don't expect too much and bring your date here thinking they will be impressed...

The food was horrible. It messed up my entire 1st year anniversary. The place has this weird sting when you walk in. The food was old and not fresh AT ALL! The only good part was the ice cream. But I did not come here to pay $15 per person for ice cream! The worst restaurant I have ever been to. The outside ambience is very nice but I guess what they say is true.. "You can't judge the book by its cover"

  • Cara B.

the food wasnt that great, the fruit looks old, some of the sushi was bad and not on taste? but smell bad. They need to check their raw shellfish, it had a nasty smell, i think it went bad.

    (1)
  • Zaneta O.

First let me say what everyone else is thinking. This place smells bad. It may have something to do with those fish tanks. The food is surprisingly not bad and they do have a pretty good selection for the lunch/dinner buffet which is mostly the same foods for both. They don't alternate the menu very often but at least you know exactly what to expect. There's sushi, asian food, some american food, fresh fruit, salad, and dessert for the most part.

  • Lou I.

This is, by far the worst of the worst. The place looks so nice from the outside. But once inside, it's old tired smelly carpets , very limited and bland food, horrible sushi that makes you vomit once you get home or wherever you go after . Just a bad atmosphere altogether. And the sad part of it is that they claim they just "renovated". lol. Oh my god stay away from this . Go to Chens in Levittown. The selection is outstanding huge selection. Fresh food. Great atmosphere Excellent sushi fondue chocolate fountain drinks super nice waiters and waitresses and it's cheaper .. Less than $10 for lunch buffet

GARBAGE Came in for lunch. Two out of three of their restroom stalls were out of order and the only working one was filthy. I stayed to eat. Driving home I had such a bad stomach ache. For the next 3 to 4 hours I was throwing up uncontrollably. During the night I still had a bad stomach ache and belching. I should have visited the hospital emergency room for food poisoning. Their food stays out day after day after day until consumption. The Board of Health should close this place down. Stay away from this restaurant - you are warned.

We should have went to the Indian Buffet just down the street (Kiran Palace, FYI). Tried this place after a friend said it was good. This person is no longer a friend! Yuck. Food was nasty looking, old and cold! Many items were dried out from sitting around for quite awhile! You know its cold when everything you have has to be put in that microwave they have sitting right out there. Who the hell wants to eat out and have to microwave their own food! Sushi had no taste. Limited food selection at lunchtime. Dishes were painfully slow to come out of the kitchen. Servers seemed careless just yapping to each other in mandarin. Place was almost empty. We won't be back, plenty of other buffets around. NO FORTUNE COOKIES WITH MY CHECK!! Allow me to translate: Zhè jiā cāntīng hěn bùcuò! Shíwù de wèidào xiàng hóu pìgu. Shíwù shì lěng de dōngtiān! Tāmen wèishéme bù gěi w xìngyùn bnggān!

So I walk in around 7:30 at night. Not busy. I go for the wonton soup and find there is no mo wontons. Oh well. The food tasted just all right. Nothing fantastic. Got to the deserts and tasted the cakes and they were so bland. Tasteless. The servers and staff on the other hand were friendly. However I would not go there again and instead go to the buffets I am used to.

The food variety was good in the weekend. There is a lot of seafood. Quality seemed fine.

  • Sheikh B.

I wish there was a hibachi and soft serve ice cream included. The staff was friendly, some of the desserts tasted too sweet, some of the chicken tasted pretty good, the sushi tasted good, however, the sushi always needed to come out fresh on the buffet. The exterior and the interior of the building looked very nice.

  • Andreas P.

The ambient is very nice! It's clean too! The service is very friendly and the location is not that bad. Now to the food, they should cover the fried dumplings because if they lay there and nobody eats them they get cold and hard.. Thats actually all whats bad about the food in my opinion and they should put new labels on the food.. ;-) looks a little bit bad. At all, I would come back!

I've passed this place more times than I'd care to count and I have to admit, at night when all the neon is lit, it presents a powerful image. I stopped in today for lunch and... I guess I could say I was "whelmed." I was neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed, so I GUESS the appropriate term is "whelmed." My biggest disappointment was the lack of a Mongolian BBQ area. There was nothing to indicate they have one that just wasn't open for lunch either. The selections were pretty much standard "Chinese buffet" fare with some oddball additions like pizza and Buffalo-style chicken wings thrown in. They did have an EXCELLENT kimchee, so that and the surprisingly good hot & sour soup made my visit worthwhile. The limited sushi selection wasn't bad either. I PROBABLY won't be back, but you never know. It wasn't that it was bad... it just didn't blow me away. My favorite is still the New Grand Buffet out in Islandia (off of Exit 57).

Asian Buffet!!!! I was super excited to come eat here for a baby shower. Living in the city, there really aren't many buffet options like this. I got my workout on in the morning in preparation but honestly, there was no way I was going to burn enough calories to prepare for this feast! There was sushi, chinese food, pizza, dim sum, desserts, ice cream, donuts, oysters, the list goes on and on. I filled plate after plate and kept going back for more. My favorites were the sushi, the shiu mai, the sugar donuts, the ice cream, everything fried, the chicken BBQ skewers, and surprisingly the pizza was also a big hit among us! I ate my weight in food and still was unable to try everything available. There was just so much! The food was good, but it wasn't amazing gourmet or anything, so don't come here expecting that. It's what it is, yummy, junky and a whole lot of it. Go there expecting that and you will be satisfied! I am already hungry for some more!

Better off ordering $ 20 worth of Chinese take out food for the price of the frozen food quality dining. This place is wah wah..

They fixed up the outside with new awnings and some paint but didnt really work on the food inside. Theres a decent selection of food but nothing outstanding stands out. I go because its convenient but given the option theres many better Asian and Pan Asian choices in Hicksville with alot more taste and quality of preparation. Their Sushi is basic rolls and some Salmon sushi, et. al. Again, good but nothing to write home about. If the Dept of health went in there with a thermometer to check the temperatures of the dishes they would be closed down! Yes...they do have a microwave to heat up your food...If the temp was correct you wouldnt need that option!

this place is great, my wife and i eat here twice a week, the food is fresh and very good, very clean, great selection, also sushi is excellent, and the staff is very nice..i would highly recommend this place

  • Nick F.

Food was mediocre and not that fresh. Staff was not friendly. Kids running around. There is gratuity in the check which is ridiculous considering they only serve you water and take your plate away. Wouldnt go again.

Went here last night with my fiance and daughter for dinner and i must say the food was very good! They have cantonese stlye crab legs and they were delicious and i keep going back for more! Lol....they also have walnut shrimps which was good too! We will be back here again with friends and family! You cant beat the price $11.99 for dinner!

    (4)
  • Peter D.

I sometimes go here on regular days and they're okay. They try to jip you any way they can. Ten year old children pay adult price, 15% gratuity is added for four people. They charge 1.75 for soda, ect. On fathers day they jacked up their prices to $18 per person for a LUNCH buffet. They said happy father's day while grinning their buts of. Probably their only saving grace is the sushi is decent. I will never go here again.

    (1)
  • Mike F.

It's pretty good. Probably more like 3.5 stars, but it's a smaller buffet compared to monster places like Minado. It also seems like they've actually lowered their prices to remain competitive. It was $11.99 ($14.65 with soda and free refills) per person. The shrimp with walnut sauce was a pleasant surprise, as was the honey chicken. Their staples like pan-fried dumplings, lo mein, fried rice, etc. are all up to par. Like I said, it didn't blow me away but I was very satisfied with the food for the price. The wife and I won't go out of my way to go there, but it's one of those places that if you're hungry and in the neighborhood, it would be a go-to spot.

THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE. The staff spoke about me and party in another language the entire time. The food was less then average, and the service sucked. The wait staff would not bring us drinks without being asked. The service was below par. When we told the cashier about the horrible experience he did not want to address it at all. However all he did was make excuses about the sub par service. I will never eat here again. They were over priced and the service sucked..

  • Barbara W.

How many Chinese buffets offer their diners access to a microwave that states: Heat up to your preference. That sums up our visit-- mostly luke warm or cold, lower quality food. The best dish there was the shrimp and lobster sauce, however, it was made to cut costs with added sea legs (which I moved out of the way). For $15.99, I wanted SHRIMP! Their spicy beef was like eating shoe leather, the chicken wings were cold. Stuffed mushrooms and baked clams tasted terrible. The pork dumplings were thick and hard. The shumai tasted strange. Even the sushi was unappealing and small in size. The service was very poor, no refills of water, and it took forever to get our check. Do not waste your hard earned money on this restaurant.

I was out with the family doing some shopping in Hicksville and taking the kids to Chuck E Cheese. We were thinking of heading back to Flushing for some Chinese when the kids starting complaining about being sooooo hungry. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were escorted to our table and while the place seemed a bit dated and run down(I was told they have been around for 16 years), it was roomy and comfortable enough. There is a pretty large selection of choices here, much more than we expected. At the sushi bar we tried the salmon sushi, California roll, Boston roll and they were not great but ok. To be fair they were short staff at the sushi station with only had one lady making the rolls as fast as she can. The other food were quite tasty, walnut baby shrimp, bok choy, steamed flounder, fried crabs (small), grilled squid, sweet and sour fish. The spare ribs were good sized but didn't taste like they were marinated for very long. The sauce while good was just on the outside of the ribs and didn't penetrate ribs.....but I am just being picky here. The desert selection was decent with jello, fruits, cookies, flan, cream puffs and ice cream. The ice cream flavors were good but to be honest it was a bit soft, more like a very very thick shake.....again just being picky. Overall, I we were very surprised and pleased with this buffet, for the price (Adults/$12, kids under 10/$7) it can't be beat. You could easily pay twice this amount at other buffets in Queens.

  • Ann D.

I love this buffet restaurant because it has all the chinese dishes you want right here in Hicksville! My favorites are the fried prawns, walnut shrimp, general tso chicken, bok choy, fish filet, coffee flavored cake. There's also other types of food like Italian, salad, sushi, cakes and 6 flavors of ice cream (mango, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, green tea and cookie and cream) Waitstaff is so friendly, music is soothing, and best of all the value is great for the price, and less for lunch special.

    (5)
  • Harold N.

Price is good for pretty mediocre food. Sushi is OK but pretty uninspriing. Chinese food is just OK. Waitresses are very cute and pretty but seem like they are chatting about you in another language. A little unnerving and unpleasant. You never know how much to tip them either since they don't help you at all, just hang around and take away your empty plate. The interior is very, very bizarre. That word kind of accurately describes the whole eating experince here.

so these Chinese buffet places seem to be gaining in popularity here on the Island or is it just that my son feels the need to gorge and I am now more aware these places exist. While looking for a different buffet we saw this one and figured lets give it a try the entrance is in the back in case you can't find it. friendly staff escorted us to our booth paper lanterns about and other decorations give it a warm come on in look in relation to the decor the seats seem a little grungy worn down the food bars were plentiful filled with the usual plus some beautiful baked fish choices really made for a nice change from typical red ribs and the all sorts of fried things *one must look at the fried frog legs BUT eat them? not me but maybe you lots of dessert choices including a flan type cake which I really enjoyed. I do think I will be back
