My family loves this place!! We used to take out from here since 10 years ago! It's the best rotisserie chicken.. taste extra yummy when you add the green sauce! Add some chifa and yuca and you've got a meal. It's also very cheap. It's more of a take out place with seating space. Do expect a standing line to order depending on the time. Just went today and they've got an "A" for inspection, so it's clean too! Hahah

Things just got real, especially when you add the salsa verde, damn that sauce is the bomb. Always go for the beef(lomo soltado) chicken is just too much common.

I am having a hard time walking right now and my stomach hurts because I literally could not stop eating this chicken. No idea what people expect, but its a straightforward Rotisserie chicken spot, and cheap! The chicken is unreal. The green sauce is perfectly savory/spicy It was six bucks for 1/4 chicken, perfectly cooked rice, savory red beans. I would skip the salad. The chicken is salty, yes, but I am literally craving it already and the flavor is unreal. Friendly, fast, clean, and absolutely addictive. Cheap. Don't come in here expecting a restaurant or atmosphere Nothin' wrong with this place!

Best Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken & Ribs Place EVER!! BEST GREEN SAUCE!! I've been to Peru numerous amounts of time and honestly this place I would have to say takes you on a journey to Peru and brings the Inca-nian out of you! Try their GREEN SAUCE! The Chicken is mouth dripping good, the meat just slides of the bones, it's so soft that you don't even need to chew! Same goes for the ribs, they are marinated to the Tee! Non-Salty, you don't even need a glass of water that's how good it is! Don't forget your chicha-moradada-Purple Drink! Try it PLEASE! You will love it! I've had the Aroz Chaufa rice which is Peruvian Fried Rice and It's slamming! Prices are reasonable! You can go there and sit down, you need to make the line which can be about 10mins or shorter, but it's worth it! Parking can be annoying around that area, don't worry when you park even though it looks a little sketchy you'll be fine! The Key is Peruvian Food! That's your objective! Oh yeah another tip: take extra green sauce with you, you'll be amazed with half the things you can use the sauce for, EXPERIMENT!

The former champ known as Pio Pio has gotten its crown taken via 10th round KO by La Casa Del Pollo Peruano! Despite also becoming a chain with a number of locations, albeit within about 7 blocks of each other, Pollo Peruano (as I will refer to it in this review) has maintained the same level of quality in the chicken and brisk service. I have been to both the 81st St and 87th St locations and both are quite similar, spartan locales. Dare I say the best deal pound for pound (the aforementioned boxing reference stuck with me here!) deal in the 'hood is the 1/2 chicken. Forgo the combo meal and it clocks in at $5 with tax! Save your extra $2 for any other side dish, or use it to splurge on the excellent fried rice. It is well worth the occasional splurge and they do make a mean version of it here. But back to the chicken, it is nice and juicy as it should be with a well seasoned and crispy skin to boot. The only knock is that it closes relatively early, considering how late many other places are open til in the neighborhood and there's no delivery. However, it is well worth the tremendous value and great flavor. All former lovers of Pio Pio, pre-decline, you have your new reigning belt holder!

The chicken here is so juicy and it is a good alternative to go to when the line is too long in "peking bbq". The meat is soft and the green sauce is one of the best that I've tasted. I also ordered the yucca fries. I have had better yucca fries in other places these were the worst. They have a adorable chicken statue by the front window :). I plan to come back and try the ribs and fried rice. My friend says the fried rice here is his favorite.

This place ain't that good anymore,it use to be better when the owner and his family worked in the restaurant but I guess he made enough money and so he hired extra help and Now the chicken tastes too salty, I rather go to Peking BBQ in woodside or caravan chicken in Astoria which are way better! Funny thing his brother owns those two restaurants, but the quality is much better

4 stars for the whole chicken, which can be ordered for take-out for under $8 with the elusive green sauce. Extra sauce is another quarter; sister insisted on extra. The Peruvians have it down, the next day my lunch of meat was moist and the skin was charred and spiced in that way that makes mouths water.

In our failed attempt to locate Pollo Loco (Crazy Chicken), a Colombian Rotisserie-style chicken restaurant my dad and I used to frequent on Roosevelt Avenue we luckily stumbled upon Lacasa Del Pollo Peruano II. There were so many Latin American restaurants, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Peruvian and more. We chose this restaurant because there were many people eating there and they looked to be Hispanic, so we figured we couldn't go wrong. Same holds true when looking for a good Chinese restaurant, many Chinese in a Chinese restaurant must mean good Chinese food. We ordered 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken, 3-piece Spare ribs and fried yuca. The chicken and ribs came with white rice and beans. We shared the dishes so we could get a taste of both dishes. The chicken was delicious, tender and juicy. The ribs were very tasty and tender as well. My dad said they were the best ribs he has tasted to date. The fried yuca was also very good. We were very happy with our meal and will definitely come back when we are in the area. Atmosphere is more like a fast-food/eat-in restaurant, nothing fancy. Prices were incredibly cheap considering the quality of food. Street parking. Line up, order, pay, have a seat, give your receipt to the wait staff and they will deliver your food. Highly recommended.

omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the chicken is to die for and the whole meal is less than $10...YOU CANNOT GO WRONG! I have to admit that I sometimes buy like 5 chickens when I have a dinner party and pass it off as my own....A whole chicken is less than $7...I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Hey, have I been magically whisked away to Peru? This is the real deal, kids. This place is about as authentic as it gets around NYC for Peruvian pollo a la brasa, from the juicy chicken, to the spicy aji, all the way to the decor and service. I like this place much better than some of the more "Americanized" Peruvian spots like Pio Pio. This place is casual, inexpensive and delicious. Great deal on take-out whole chickens, too.

This place sucks!!! I am amazed at how many stars is getting! When I visited this place just by the look of it made me doubt about staying but since I was hungry I gave it a try. The place was dirty, it looked like those dirty White Castle restaurants. I ordered a chicken and rice something simple, my boyfriend ordered Ribs and Rice. We sat down and Bam! the food came out. I was shocked at the service! too too fast and as a result our food tasted old, burnt- my chicken was dry, his ribs were Burnt! Not even once did the "waitress' came to ask us how we were doing. We are not bad customers I felt like complaining but I just left it like that knowing that NEVER AGAIN will I go back! I also didn't think about leaving TIPs the girl did NOTHING to make us re think about our experience. We left her $2 bucks- In conclusion THE FOOD THERE IS YUCKY! Service: FAST FOOD QUALITY: TERRIBLE!!! I would go to PIO PIO for better food !

I don't mean to kill this place, but some of the other reviews are overly glowing. The chicken was just ok, the beans were tasteless and undercooked and the maduros were overcooked. Table sauces were bland. This place is cheap and fast, but far from five stars.

i joined yelp JUST to review la casa del pollo, hands down my favorite place for rotisserie chicken and lomo saltado (peruvian meat dish). i have been eating at this place for YEARS (5+) and have tried other peruvian restaurants and rotisserie spots, so far none can compete. the chicken is oh so flavorful and moist and simply the best! way better than that pio pio that most "americans" tend to like...i crave this food all the time because it's that good. i always get the quarter chicken meal with the fried rice and salad. the aguadito (soup) is good too. green sauce and pink sauce for the fries and salad! this is a get down and eat kinda place, not with waiters expecting a tip so that is why you order your food first and then you sit. it's not dirty either like i read in a review on here; it's just not some high-fancy restaurant with annoying waiters, i've never been sick because of this food.

I stopped by this place for an impromptu dinner on a Friday night and WOW I was blown away! The quality of food is authentic Peruvian: you MUST have the rotisserie chicken! It is cooked just right... Juicy, tender and finger licking good! The chicken falls off the bone so softly and seasoned to perfection. I ordered a 1/4 lb chicken with rice and beans. The rice was okay- nothing to brag about but the beans were tasty! The Peruvian spicy green sauce was AMAZING!!! Definitely a must have. When you walk in you go straight to the counter and place your order. To the left I immediately noticed the fast food Chinese take out containers piled in the corner. I must admit I am not used to seeing this at a Spanish restaurant. I couldn't help but smile at the delicious smell in the restaurant but the cashier didn't seem impressed with my excitement. Her customer service skills were not the greatest. She seemed angry and annoyed. Long day at work? Perhaps. We paid and sat down. Our food came out in a timely fashion- delivered by a friendly young man. After that- history took it's course. Delicious goodness! I will definitely be back. For sure! Hopefully next time la Señora behind the counter will be in a better mood.

Have always loved this place. The Asian cashier girl was so rude. I ordered my food to go and she would not allow me to eat it at a table. I prefer to use plastic utensils. I will not be returning to this locatoon!

One of the holy grails of the rotisserie chicken phonomenon that has swept from cities to the suburbs. This place is super clean, the staff is friendly and the food is awesome. Whatever you order, make sure and ask for extra green sauce.......it's totally addicting!

Delicious Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken at your service! This place is great! Like some of the other small "Chifa" (Peruvian-Chinese) spots I've tried, this place also offers a similar menu. Affordable, flavorful and tasty chicken. If you're in or around the area it's a great place to stop by and pick up some peruvian style chicken!

I've been eating this for years. I love the food. The only thing i would say i hate, is the cost of hot sauce..like really. I always get chicken and ribs and quite frankly i will always be a customer! :)

They dont sell two 1/4 chicken because of policy and thats it. No exception. So if youre not into white meat deal with it or go elsewhere. No signs posted about it, its a get there and find out scenario. Same goes for the location on that jungle 82nd street.

The chicken and ribs are what I've been eating for years from here. I live in the neighborhood so it's one of our family favorites for juicy rotisserie chicken and their delicious green sauce. Pay for the extra green sauce if you're getting a whole chicken. You will not be disappointed!
