So far I ordered twice.. Of course the 1st was so great I ordered again.. But the rating it's 3 stars.. Why might you ask? Well I never went here before. First order was superb. On point and terrific phone order taker (male) today it was a female.. Very depressing and not well at listing. I got my orders somewhat right. I Denver clearly saying no pork.. Which means (you guessed it) no pork! That girl really must hate me?? Or her job?? I threw it all out.. I won't just waste a call.. Plus it was hours ago before I went to the gym and came back to eat it. Two meals was twenty dollars.. Also got ripped off. Wait let me re consider my stars.. (Down to two), I was told not to go today or order again.. I won't go after today's errorSS.. Really ashamed now. Sorry for management and it's coming customers.

Not great. The good- excellent service which was friendly and fast. The not so good-food was below par, on the expensive side and greasy. The bathrooms were also disgusting but luckily if you're bored, a former patron has written a long large story of waiter nose picking all over the stall doors. Live close by but wouldn't return.

This place was a huge disappointment. Here is why: my husband and I spent all day moving from out of state to Staten Island. We drove here all night and unpacked all day. Throughout the day we commented about "gorging some Chinese food" tonight after we are done. Basically we built up the excitement to binge on some good ole fashion American Chinese food and it didn't even come to close to satisfaction. Luckily we were so exhausted that we inhaled it, anyhow. So it is edible. However, while eating this meal, surrounded by boxes, (and with tiny lobster forks because they didn't provide any plastic utensils), I asked my husband if we've ever had worse Chinese food. Maybe we were too exhausted to accurately run through all the Chinese food we've had in our almost 7 years of marriage, but neither of us could think of worse. Here's the rundown according to us: Bbq ribs - burnt, very bitter tasting General Tsos - bland chunks of dry chicken with soggy, soggy covering and watery sauce. House Lo Mein - again, bland. Crab Rangoons - center was super runny. Looks like we are still on a quest for good Chinese in this area.

People who rated this place 1 or 2 stars are whackkk. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. No matter how busy it gets, the staff is always kind and reliable. Love, love, love!

You can't go wrong with the dinner combos - entree, soup, egg roll and ice cream- for 11-13 bucks. The food was very good (sesame chicken combo), but the wonton soup was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. We had great service, the restaurant was clean, and overall we had a nice time. The bar area was a bit loud but we didn't hear much from where we sat.

This place has excellent chinese food and pretty decent drinks (I recommend the "Coco Loco") buuuutttt their customer service can be pretty iffy. WARNING: DO NOT come to here 30-40 min. of closing. Although they WILL seat you, on more than one occasion we've had to witness a waiter cursing and yelling in Chinese. (We assume this is because all the waiters usually leave together and they fear they will miss their ride) One time a waiter went as far as to stare at us during our ENTIRE meal, throwing the "evil eye" our way. This can be pretty disturbing.

A little far from my house but worth the trip. Good food and the most important thing...they received an "A" rating from the Board of Health so I at least it's clean and healthy. Staff is friendly and I've never left dissapointed. One thing I DON'T recommend are the eggrolls. I love eggrolls but the eggrolls here always come out very greasy.

Easily the best Chinese Restaurant on Staten Island. Since it is far away from my house, I do not eat here often but every time I do eat here, its worth the long drive. I would easily be in this restaurant every day if It was in walking distance from my house. I honestly have no complaints about this restaurant. Def. go to this place. Prices are great for good portions, food comes out fast and very hot. Very happy with everything here! If you like this location, go to the one in Brooklyn, same name and owned by same people, but food is better in Brooklyn. Highly Recommend 5 Stars!

must say ... VERY QUICK SERVICE. the staff are friendly and attentive. the food comes out in like 5 minutes. we ordered the crab rangoon (called crabmeat cheese puffs) and the boneless fried chicken over chinese vegetables. the crab rangoon was good .. actually had pieces of shrimp in there .. but the size was small. i'm more use to the enormous crab rangoon from Oriental Plaza (sooo good). the fried chicken platter was very very nicely fried but lacked taste. even when i threw salt on it, it was little tasteless. had to throw it into the sauce from the dish. but the serving was huge. i've had better when it comes to the food but you can tell the ingredients were very fresh and decent. would go again.

Ive been going here for years. They have inexpensive mixed drinks and the prices aren't bad. Sometimes I wonder if they recycle the rice because its so stale. I like their fish dishes and the crab Rangoon is bangin.

My GF ordered my dinner ftom here tonight and I have to say it sucks I just dumped my order in the trash can, what a waste of money the chicken and broccoli combo was dry and bland no flavor whatsoever definitely will not order from here anymore.

Originally I had given this restaurant 4 stars but they must've went through some changes. The last time I called they told me that I was too far for delivery and when I tried to tell her I've been receiving it for just about 15 years the girl on the phone hung up on me! When I called back she was rude and still denied me. We tried once again another time and the food was not tasty.. but they did deliver! So I'd suggest keep looking.. We are..

This place is...terrible. We got stuck on Memorial Day looking for some lunch when everything else was closed and decided to give this place a try. It is crap. We got the lunch specials and nothing really tasted right. We had beef chow fun and Ja Jiang Mien. Sounds like it's pretty cool that they have "real" Chinese food, eh? Not really. This place is terrible and it was easily the worst meal I've had in ages. No one should be caught coming out of this restaurant.

I wish I could give China New Star 3 1/2 stars, because they are better than 3*; we have gone there for lunch a few times. The service is very good, very polite, and the food is always fresh-tasting & hot. Yesterday I tried their BBQ spareribs. I would venture to say they were among the best I've had in Staten Island. They were really delicious - crisp, hot (I had asked for well done) & juicy. Hubby had shrimp & vegetables in black bean sauce. He was very pleased with his dish. The prices (especially for lunch) are great; for a retired couple, this fits very well in our budget.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Awesome dim sum! Great specials for the whole family to enjoy. I've been eating at the one in Bklyn for years before finding this gem. I'm thrilled there's a second one! Attentive staff, cute room and fantastic food at reasonable prices. It always amazed me that people in Staten Island will wait on a line for 20 minutes to get into Applebees when they have great places like this under their noses. Ah the naivety of youth. Just as good as the Bklyn one which is also not to be missed!

YUK! My friend claimed this was the best Chinese food out there! We ate here about a month or so ago. Now my co-workers are raving about it. It is sub par food. Greasy, bland average Chinese food. Our waiter was nice and the service was also descent However before we even finished our soup he brought out our main course. I will quote Simon Cowel from American Idol..... "it was forgettable....."

Easily the best Chinese restaurant in Staten Island. The service (dine-in and take out) is FAST. The food tastes terrific, and the restaurant is clean and well kept. There is a large dining room and a bar. I'm not sure, but I think the dine-in menu is different then the take out. You can get small or large portions for take out. You get huge portions if you eat there.
