I've been here a few times. 2 out of the 3 times I had to ASK for the lunch special menu. And then they gave it to me with attitude. It is an amazing deal. 2 entrees, soup or salad, and some come with a side all for $15! I think the wait staff feels they will get less of a tip so when they seat you they don't give you the menu. One time I asked what time does the lunch special goes until. 2 people had no idea. We left. (I later found out it goes until 3:30pm) The portions are great. Very flavorful. Our waitress the last time was very nice. (She didn't seat us.) We asked the person who sat us for the lunch special menu and he brought over 2 more regular menus. Really? I guess 2 of us needed 4 menus. It's a great deal and the food is really good. We will keep coming back...and keep asking for the "special" menu.

Finally stopped by here. We got our drinks and my water glass had tomato sauce on it. We ordered pizza and baked ziti. The pizza appearance was not that great. Looks as if they were trying to add fresh oregano to the pizza but it was only on two pieces. It looked as if it was meant to be in the middle. The salad came and the have large rims around it. The rum had juice from the tomatoes on it. Then the waitress took all our forks without warning.....and they only give 1 fork. No salad fork. She came back with one and I asked for another but she never came back so I grabbed one from another table. The bread was good. Everything was just average. Nothing great and I probably won't come here again.

This has got to be the worst Italian place in New York. The prices are really high and the portions are so small, you would think they service kids meals all day. I had the chicken Marsala, it looked and tasted like I ordered it from a Chinese restaurant. This app will not allow me to select no stars but if I could this place would not get anything. The only good thing about the place is the service, they are prompt and polite.

Well, I was not impressed with Roma's. I will say the waitress's were very nice. I enjoyed the salad, the bread, the penne vodka, and the eggplant, as for the rest of the food .... Not impressed especially their chicken and steak!!! Last years food was excellent!! I wonder what happened? Skip the salmon too!!!

We have been living in the area for about 7 years and we always wondered about this place. Yesterday we finally decided to give it a try just to find out it was a complete mistake. To start out the host was not even at her podium and when we were finally walking to the table we noticed how old, and dirty the carpet was. We were sited under one of the AC vents and we were freezing. Then the waitress finally showed up and took the orders. They offer you complementary bread I guess because the food takes forever to come out. We only ordered a 10" pizza and a steak sandwich. How long that can really take? Anyway they switched my order and brought me chicken and when they realized it they brought me my steak sandwich way overcooked and poorly plated. It was just a bunch of french fries, and two pieces of bread. The pizza was decent, not the best for an Italian restaurant. Food was overpriced and the waitress was no where to be found. We were glad to leave and definitely not going back.

Personally I think this place is great! I've been here several times and when I'm in the mood for Italian food, I won't hesitate to come here. EVERY single time I've been here, my waiter or waitress was incredibly kind! Like over the top kind, polite, attentive, etc. Also the manager really couldn't be nicer! I think he tries very hard to make his customers happy and I give him huge credit for that. The meatballs here are amazing, very very tender and they practically melt in your mouth. Their penne alla vodka is incredible as well. Also their grilled chicken salad. And their eggplant. Basically everything I've tried here so far, I've liked a lot. Service is always excellent, food is great... What's more important than that? Also their portions are very big! Which is good because you'll definitely get your money's worth and then some. I strongly recommend this place!!

My boyfriend and I had a belated Valentines Day dinner there last night and it was awesome. I had the Chicken Capricosa and my boyfriend had the Chicken Parm. Our server Krista was the best too. We are going to make this our place to go to now.

We've been here a few times as it's decent Italian American fare with reasonable prices and you are bound to leave with leftovers. The entrees are easily splittable if you start with an appetizer and if you get your own entrees it's almost certain you'll be bringing home food. Desserts are meh and I wouldn't suggest them. I got zeppoli's once (laughable to call them that) and they were basically half fried pizza dough rolled in copious amounts of sugar and spice. The insides were not cooked and the outside was rock hard...not sure how they did that. Overall if you're looking for a reasonably priced meal, adequate service and wanting to leave with a full belly and a doggy bag, this is the place for you!

I ordered a Jack Daniels on the rocks. It was filled to the brim. That's how you pour a drink. Place is unassuming on the outside but the bar on the inside is really nice and a surprisingly good place to have a bite and a drink while watching the game. The bread is served hot, the house salad was good. I had the dinner special (Mon-Thur) for $9.95 which was Eggplant Parm, a salad, and a side of capellini. The food was ok. I was so hungry after moving I'd have eaten anything so I wasn't in the best spot to judge the food on its merits, but I'd go back for sure.

Went here for lunch, got there and they're were setting up tables for some sort of reception area, they were having an event in their side room. I thought to myself that I'll be neglected since there was a large gathering and me in the restaurant. But boy I was wrong the waitress sat me in mere seconds. I ordered my drink and that came pretty quick as well. Ordered the meatball slider for appetizer and got it in about 10 minutes. Now I'm one that doesn't like peppers on my sandwich but wow did it taste good. Cheese could of been a little more well done but not complaining. Then after getting through with that I felt myself getting full. After about another ten minutes of waiting I got my chicken parm. Big portion took a couple of bites and was done my belt didn't have anymore holes for it. Got it to go. But I do want to touch back on my service, the waitress was very attentive and actually reviled my soda without me asking. Good was a 5 but the service made it a 5!!

Average Italian food - not too pricey, decent service. I've been here for some faculty parties over the years and everyone is attentive. Nothing fancy, nothing WOWs me, but it's decent.

This place was okay when it was Piazza Roma but we went there tonight for the first time since the switch to become "Roma's." We were dismayed to find they no longer offer ravioli (the only thing my two year old son talked about wanting for dinner which prompted us to even go there), the menu was smaller and the prices were jacked up. In place of ravioli we got stuffed shells for my son which arrived in the form of mini tasteless manicotti. He didn't like it. And he's two. My mom and husband tried it and said they could see why. My husband got the penne a la vodka which should be hard to mess up but it wasn't good. The food should be much better for the price. I would give this place one star but the service was actually pretty good and our waitress was great with our kids and did her best to accommodate them.

My husband and I have enjoyed many good dinners here over the years: good portions and reasonable prices. BUT...even though they offer a Gluten-Free Menu, the staff needs training from the waitresses to the chef. I ordered off the Gluten-Free menu and asked to Please make sure it is carefully prepared, the broiled seafood platter... No Problem. So dinner arrives - looks good, take 2-bites and realize my dinner is covered with bread-crumbs? I ask waitress and her response is -Oh your not supposed to have bread-crumbs? Wow. Why offer a dedicated gluten-free menu if nobody know what that means. They prepared a new dinner, BUT once again my husband and I each ate alone and that was a real disappointment on Christmas Eve... As I told the manger, train your staff if you are going to offer Gluten-Free! Hoping they improve on that...

Good eats. Generous portions! I loved the linguini and clam with white wine garlic sauce. I was very impressed that the dish was chock full of clams and quite flavorful. The fried calamari appetizer was perfectly fried but salt and pepper appeared missing from the batter. Nevertheless the dipping sauce made up for any taste deficiencies. The broccoli rave was perfectly cooked Al dente with plenty of garlic and oil but no red pepper and salt which is what I use when I make the dish. As far as some of the other entree had by other guests, the grilled calamari over arugula and olives was generous and tasty ; the broiled seafood platter sans diced tomatoes was enjoyable and the chicken parm was huge, lightly breaded and smothered with a vibrant marinara sauce and plenty of cheese. The mashed potatoes were fresh and well. Last but not least - the wait staff was knowledgable and friendly & courteous. I will b back again!

I've been here several times while meeting up with groups or in-laws. Everytime I've ordered from them I've never liked it. Their chicken with vodka sauce is okay. Won't be back on my own.

Absolutely horrible place to eat. Went twice (always try once more before I give a 1 star), and both times the only thing worse than the food was the service. The salads were at least a day old and it didn't taste like any of the food I ate here was made-to-order. The servers act like they want to be anywhere but in the restaurant (can't blame them) and it feels like they're scared to approach after a meal arrives for fear you might actually give them your real opinion. Thinking about dining here? Slam your hand in a car door instead - definitely a more pleasant experience.

I have been to this restaurant on two occasions and I would call it spotty at best. The food tends to be on the bland side. This is surprising as the owners other restaurant "Little Sorrento's" is excellent. The main dishes are generously sized but what good is it if you don't want to take it home!! Drinks are a tad pricey, better off drinking elsewhere. All that said "take a pass" on this one.

I've been to this place a few times, and always left disappointed. For the crowds it gathers one would think the food would be stellar. What's so special about oversized portions of mediocre food? Got the stuffed mushrooms last evening to start... they were barely warm and way too much breadcrumb in the "crab" stuffing. My friend's pesto steak had so much gristle, as much as 1/4 th of it was tossed to the side. Broccoli side was cold as well. I think there was chicken underneath all the breading and cheese in my chicken roma. For almost $100.00 for two, including tip (the waitress was at least friendly, but not very attentive), I will not be going back. The only reason for the 2 stars... the bread is fabulous and people are generally friendly. The food... as the rating states "Meh, I've experienced better"

My wife and I met friends here for dinner and the Comedy show last week. We had a great time! The food and service was excellent.

Food is always very good. My wife and I frequent this restaurant a lot. Do not go here during the week when the owners are not around. The staff does not show any assertiveness when no one is there to supervise. On a Saturday when the owners are around everyone is very hospitable and helpful (there are different waitresses on duty during the weekend also). This last instance our drinks were empty before our food came out and it took about 20 minutes to get the check and another 10 to have the waitress ring up the charge card. It is upsetting that such a great place can't rely on their staff to perform such simple tasks.

Pizza is the thing to get here. Loved the chicken parm pizza! For a party of 18 we demolished 4-5 pizzas not to mention salads and artisan bread on the side. Lovely service and excellent family environment.

I've been here a few times, mostly for the decrepit Simpsons arcade machine and work dinners that couldn't be avoided. The food is average - nothing spectacular, but nothing repulsive either. Last visit was a complete disaster. I was with a large party from work, and as dinner was winding down, I had to leave to take care of other things. I waited for 30 minutes for our waitress to show up before I just tossed money on the table and asked for my co-workers to handle it. Apparently, after I left, management refused to take coupons that some people brought, and refused to split up checks. This mounted in an argument at the table (and I know my co-workers can be contentious, but bringing over the manager to battle it out with them didn't seem professional). Finally, the waitress returned and angrily threw a stack of bills on the table, leaving the staff to scramble around and figure out whose was whose. Maybe it was justified - lord knows I want to throw things at them sometimes too. Either way, it was embarrassing to even hear about later. Seeing the receipt later, and getting my change, I was overcharged by at least $6 for a simple meal without desert, but it was too late to go back and fix it. At least the Applebee's next door doesn't totally suck.

This is a decent place to eat but it's just average. The food was good and the staff was helpful and friendly. Although the waiter came to us with the wrong dish... large pizza pies for a party of two? Really?! There was enough for a whole family. Turns out it WAS for a whole family. A group of about 5-6 people, parents and children, sitting right across from us. But no biggie, harmless mistake. The Penne Portabello was pretty good and decently priced. It's an okay place to eat and not as busy or noisy as the Applebee's right next door. Gets 3/5 stars from me. Happy eating!

Salads are good. Pasta is tasty. Service can be a bit slow, even when there are only a few tables, the wait can be a by much. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is appealing. Friday nights and Saturday nights are the most busy. The prices are a bit high for what you get which is why I've rated this 4 out of 5 stars.

My family and I were in for dinner last week, we hadn't been there for a while and were pleasantly surprised to see how much it had changed! The place looks absolutely fabulous the bar area and main dining room have been completely renovated! It's beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect for any outing. My family of 6 were greeted upon arrival by the owner Gina (a lovely woman, very enthusiastic and friendly) we sat down right away and discovered the new menu there are plenty of great options to choose from! We started off with the calimari and triangoli which were both outstanding! My wife had the stuffed salmon and said it was great! I enjoyed the chicken Roma and our kids loved that they had many kids options. The staff were all friendly and knowledgable! We will definitely be back it may be our new favorite place!
