I am thrilled that there is finally a place worthy of calling itself a wine bar in northern Westchester. Pour is cozy, cool, and is a great place for a girls' night out or date night. I went with a couple of friends around opening time and we sat at the bar. The selection of wines was quirky and the bartender made suggestions based on our likes/dislikes. He offered tastes before we committed to an entire glass and poured each glass with panache. Though we didn't order cocktails, he was quite adept at making those of the old-fashioned, eclectic variety. If I could intern there as an apprentice bartender, I would do so in a minute. I suppose what I appreciated most was that this could easily be a snooty, overpriced place, but it wasn't--the quality of the product stands on its own without any need for posturing. Definitely worth a trip to Mt. Kisco!

What a nice start to a low key casual evening. Stopped by at Pour and enjoyed a drink and some small appetizers. The place is dimly lit with candles and there is more than enough elbow room where you can have a decent conversation. I plan on definitely returning.

Pour has eliminated the need for those of us in Westchester to hop onto Metro North and transfer to the F train to find a hip, romantic wine bar with a wine list curated amongst the finest in small-production and biodynamic wines. This is further proof of my conspiracy theory that everything great about Westchester happens once a girl is single. Ah well. The wine bar is situated in an old Victorian house, is dimly lit (perhaps TOO dimly lit as my eyes required quite an adjustment to light), and has plenty of small couches and cushioned chairs for friends and couples to make themselves comfortable. I sat at the bar on my last visit in order to give an awkward OK Cupid Couple their privacy. On our last particular visit, I ordered a glass of tempranillo from Leon. It was an excellent quality glass of wine, tasting of juicy, ripe, red berries and having just the right amount of tannins. The pour was also quite generous and for $10 I felt I received a very good glass of wine. Pour also offers a great variety of small plates, artisanal cheeses, and charcuterie. We loved the spread of prosciutto Di Parma, wild boar Cacciatorini, roquefort, cremeux de Bourgogne, and casatica di Bufala. The cheeses and meats are of very high quality and the presentation is beautiful - the board includes candied walnuts, gerkins, grilled apricots, grapes, gherkins, and lightly toasted bread. I have also tried the Catalan flatbread, which comes topped with manchego, chorizo, & caramelized onions. I was expecting for this to be more like a coca flatbread, but it was more so the ingredients melted and embedded atop. It was tasty, but I liked the cheese selection better. The bottles of wine available range anywhere from $30 and into the hundreds. Most wines are around $40 and if you are unable to finish the entire bottle, you can have a Wine Doggie Bag to take the rest home with you. Anthony Colasacco, Pour's proprietor, is always at the wine bar, chatting with customers and ready to tell a story of how much he loves a particular wine.

If I lived closer to Mount Kisco, I would definitely come here often. Located right on Main Street, Pour is a little bit of an oddball architecturally. Among the strips of stores and quaint buildings that make up the town's central hub, this wine bar sits back off the street in an impressive Victorian-style house. I came here for a relative's 40th birthday. As we entered we were greeted by Anthony who showed us to our seating area. We were a party of ~15 so we were given the entire back room to sit and mingle. The atmosphere of Pour is very mellow; the lighting is low, there's music playing in the background, and the color scheme is subdued (in a good way). They really cinched it with the decor. We started with drinks, but because I was driving I only had a glass of Prosecco then stuck with soft stuff. As a party we shared a number of small plates off the menu, and from what I tried everything was tasty. The hummus trio was pretty basic but tasty and the soft pretzel sticks were carb-licuous; the spicy mustard it came with was awesome (great way to clear your sinuses ;-). My favorite plates though were the melts. The fig + pig had a nice sweet/savory balance and fontina came with caramelized onions and truffle oil which you could really taste. The staff was very friendly and super attentive to us; everything was served at a good pace. This place was a great find - winner all around!

A little off the beaten path, Pour is a fun place to meet for a date or drinks with friends when you actually want to talk to them and not yell over music or other people. The vibe is dark, quiet, and almost sensual with the lighting, old fashioned bar, and velvet seating. This is the kind of place where I imagine you could drink absinthe and no one would bat an eye. Went with my boyfriend and a college friend of his and we all had a good time. Bartender/sommalier (not sure if he's a certified sommalier or not but I'm not the wine police here) recommended some good bottles and the accompanying food was light and enjoyable. I wouldn't come here for a full meal, but rather bites with friends. I'm not the type who can just chug wine without some food in between sips, so the little dishes Pour offers are perfect for me.

Great whiskey selection. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The drink menu is imposing but don't be afraid - the staff will help you through it.

need a nice date night out? Pour has the ambiance, food, and wine for that one of a kind experience with your special someone. the interior is unique and contemporary, the wine is specially hand picked by the owner antonio, who is most casually accommodating, and they offer the best charcuterie board in the westchester area. Only two restaurants offer this rare treat and Pour is one of them. my wife and i love going to Pour, so we give it 5 stars and two thumbs up.

Anthony is the wonderful and gracious owner of this establishment. He is one of the few business owners who actively inquires and cares about his patrons experience at Pour. After reading my critical review of my experience at Pour, he offered his sincere apologies for the night I was there and asked me to come again for the true Pour experience. And I have to say I'[m glad I did come back to Pour. What is exceptional about Pour is it is a very sophisticated, urbane and European-like lounge in the middle of the suburbs. Anthony seems very knowledge about all that is offered on the Pour menu. The wine and alcohol list is extensive and offers patrons a wide selection of new choices. A variable menu of unique tapas/ desserts are not only delicious but well portioned for sharing among friends. This is a place where you would want to bring friends from the city to. In Mt. Kisco this is a gem of a place where you can sample wonderful and exotic food and drink and enjoy a conversation with friends in an intimate and comfortable setting.

I'm sorry for not providing feedback sooner. To be honest I wanted to keep this diamond in the rough all to myself. It seems however that the secret is out, as I am finding this oasis in Mt. Kisco busier and busier upon each return. This cozy gem offers something for everyone. Don't expect generic beers, wines and spirits. Pour is known for it's carefully selected eclectic fluids and small bites. I learned on New Years Eve that Pour will be expanding its menu in 2013, along with expanding it's hours to Sundays possibly. One can only hope. I've grown to think of Pour as home, where friends are served by their friends in the comfort of their own home. I encourage you to explore Pour for yourself and take the time to say hello to Anthony (proprietor) James (Head Bartender Extraordinaire) and Sean, a welcome addition and familiar Barman.

Stopped in for a draught and yummy shishito peppers and sautéed shiitake in red wine reduction. Pretty place, friendly bartender. Nice patio in front.

I felt like I was in the home of a friend with a world class wine, beer and liquor collection. It was very cozy and friendly but classy as well. Each wine had that perfect taste that you hope to find when you buy bottles in the liquor store but never seem to find more than 1 in 20 times. We ate a huge dinner before we showed up. However, we ordered appetizers/tapas one at a time and loved each one so much that we kept ordering until we stuffed our faces with five orders of food. I bring all my guests here as my go to place. The personal touch from Anthony the owner (who also waits tables) is obvious in all aspects.

Just had my husband's 50th birthday party at Pour and it was wonderful. We had a small intimate cocktail party for 45 pp and it was perfect. Very homey, cool vibe. Anthony is a sweetheart too. The food was delicious and drinks flowed nicely. Anthony made the planning a breeze, was extremely accomodating. We had 3 stations and a raw bar, plus passed h'd's and they were all great. We can't thank him enough for a lovely night.

I finally made it back to Pour and had to update my review to reflect how happy I am to have a place like this in Westchester. This is the perfect place to take out of towners to show them you don't have to make the trek down to the city to have a superb wine bar experience. Top it off with some gelato from Via Vanti down the road, and you've got yourself a great night out in Mt. Kisco. They have plenty of moderately priced bottles of wine available. We ordered a bottle of Riesling, and the waitress suggested an alternate bottle (that was slightly more expensive) as being far superior-- we took her advice, and were very pleased, both with the wine and the fact that she charged us for the less expensive bottle we had originally requested. The small plates and panini are simple and rustic, but delicious, and can provide you with a snack or meal, depending on your fancy. With a cozy interior, friendly staff, and city-style eats in the suburbs, this is a no-brainer.

What an unexpected find. We were in Mt Kisco to do some shopping. Afterward we wanted to have a drink to celebrate. I looked on Yelp for someplace cool. Pour was well rated and looked intriguing. We went there and we were the first patrons of the evening. The parking lot was empty and we weren't even sure they were open. I am really happy that they were. The ambiance was great. James at the bar was awesome. Very helpful and informative. The wine and liquor selection was eclectic and top notch. So much so that I took notes on some of the brands and that I look forward to adding to my bar at home. My only complaint is that Pour is 21 miles from my house. We had a great time and now have a reason to visit Mt Kisco again soon.

Pour deserves 5 stars for just existing in Northern Westchester! I mean, how may cool, sophisticated wine bars do we have. Add to this that the wine, beer and other alcohol are excellent, plus the small plates are terrific, well the 5 stars are well earned. My one fear is that this place needs more support so it won't close.

Pour, how I love thee...let me count the ways: 1) Let's start with the foundation, shall we? Pour's proprietor Anthony is nothing short of a gastro-vino guru -- he has found a niche that desperately needed to be filled in Westchester and he's filled it, seamlessly. Among other things, he knows wines, he knows scotches, and man, does he know small plates. 2) About those small plates..they're brilliant. On my last visit I tried the fontina cheese, caramelized onion, and white truffle oil panini, and I nearly ordered a second (hubby stopped me, thankfully). Holy delicious...this thing was grilled to absolute perfection -- not a minute too long. Bread that is the perfect balance of crunchy and soft. Ah-maze-ing. I also have nothing but kudos for this guy's artisinal know-how. His meat and cheese plates are perfectly proportioned, and if you don't try the 4-yr aged Gouda, you're making a HUGE mistake. Who knew Gouda could taste this good? 3) The wines. A lot of these varietals might seem mysterious to some -- they certainly were to me. That's where Pour's staff come in again... everyone working behind the bar knows exactly what they're talking about. So if you're looking for a pinot grigio (which they don't have), they'll help navigate you toward something even more amazing that you never knew existed. Check, check. 4) Scotches...I'm not a big scotch drinker, but I am a BIG bottle snob. I love labels, and am guilty of buying products purely on bottle aesthetics. Pour carries the most beautiful bottles of liquor I've ever seen. I enjoy sitting at the bar just so I can ask to look at some of the bottles more closely. I know, just stamp my forehead with a big L. 5) Gotta bring it full circle. This is the kind of place I look forward to sharing with my friends when they come up from the city to the "farmland", as they call it (as in, 'yes, we have wine bars ALL the way up here in Mt Kisco'). The kind of place that oozes sophistication and panache without being obnoxious or unfriendly...the kind of place most city wine bars could learn a thing or two from, actually. And the kind of place that is bringing attentive customer service and engaging conversation back to the service industry. Thank gawd....

What a gem! Pour is a little nook to have a beautiful glass of wine and a bite to eat. Only thing is it's a little dark.

On a trip back east to visit customers before the Holidays, we stopped by this place. Being big wine fans how could you go wrong with a place called Pour right? Well, ya can't. We sampled just about everything on the menu from the Cheese plates, to the meatballs which my friend said were awesome. I don't eat meat so I didn't go there. All the wines that Anthony had suggest to us were really good, and the place was definately a cool hang. I was there during one helluva snow storm, but the inside of pour was cool!

My husband and I chose Pour for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and we had a lovely evening there with our guests. I had very much wanted to incorporate wine tasting into our wedding weekend, and Pour was an ideal choice for us - I really liked that it's in a cute house, provided a chic but casual ambience, we could have the whole place to ourselves for the party (the space holds up to 50 people), and that it was convenient for us and our guests relative to our hotels since we were all coming from out of town. Their party package includes three hours of open bar along with a selection of passed hors d'oeuvres and vegetable and fruit plates which can be customized depending on your preferences. Our guests really enjoyed the selections of wine and food, and Anthony and his team were very friendly and attentive that night.

Met a friend here for drinks after work. The owner, Anthony, was meeting with vendors and trying some new wines. They all graciously offered us some, so in addition to some interesting whiskies, I had a glass (or was it 2?) of some truly great wine. But the news is that we shared some food. We had the Catalan Flatbread, which is great. Also, they checked something with the chef and offered us a previous nights special, Onion Soup Grilled Cheese. OMG, delish! So, as an update...try some food! But still my favorite cocktail bar.

Stopped in for a few drinks with my mom and a friend after dinner. We looked around for a place to sit and when we couldn't find one Anthony immediately offered us a table that had a reserved card on it. The service and wine were both great. Can't wait to go back and try the food.

Thanks, Yelp: my wife and I were looking for a New Year's Eve destination, and Pour came up in a search of places near Ossining that might fit the bill. We were not disappointed. Pour sports a tremendous wine list, and an impressive beer selection. My wife opted for a Pinot Noir, and was quite pleased; I went with a Southern Tier 2x Rye and Fire Island Sunken Ferry Stout. Both were sufficiently tasty. Food-wise: you can definitely make a meal out of these small plates. For us, the Catalan flatbread (manchego, caramelized onions, chorizo); chickpea bites; hummus plate (3 kinds, with grilled flatbread, carrots, and cucumbers); and to top it off, a 3-cheese platter (parmigiano reggiano, taleggio, gruyere) with spiced almonds, cornichon, grilled apricots, and more flatbread. All excellent. Only downside: Pour is cute and intimate inside, but it isn't the most comfortable place. There are rows of banquettes, but if you're not on one of those, prepare to sit on a hassock or small chair.

Although food was delicious, the service left much to be desired. Staff was very unprofessional engaging in personal conversation with the table next to us leaving our table unnoticed for quite some time.

Been to Pour twice and the place is really charming. Lovely intimate setting for a date night but large enough to come with a group. Also like that the space has like 4 different areas to set up at. It's pretty dimly lit which makes it a challenge to read the menu but the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful which is great because I find that wine bar staff can often be pretentious which is totally not the case here. Excellent wine selection, bourbons, ryes, single malts, and specialty cocktails. A little bit light on the beer selection but still some rare finds. There is a limited amount of food but what I have had has been phenomenal! The manchego and chorizo flatbread was awesome and the meatballs were small but heavenly with a creamy scoop of ricotta cheese and flatbreads. The cheese platters are a good size and include nice extras like grilled apricots, their house roasted cashews, cornichons, and cherries. Not a cheap place but what you would expect for a classy NYC/westchester bar.

Very odd atmosphere. As soon as you walk in theres just a sheet, then you walk in and theres like these very little tables. their wine and liquer selection were great but were not wine or liquer people. Just the way the whole thing was set up was very weird. Beer selection was ok. If your going here to eat stay away.

Not knowing the neighborhood that much anymore I found this place via Yelp. Couldn't have picked a better spot for meeting up with a friend to catch up. It was later in the evening and parking was available in the back. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing and we had our choice of seating. The decor takes into account the details, such as the magnifying glasses used with the scones, really cool! The choice of wines was diverse and well labeled. I cannot comment on the food since we only had drinks. Our server was prompt and the host was very accommodating. There was a variety of seating available: bar, high table, lower table, lounge area. The space is the ground floor of a standalone house. I will definitely be going again next I am in town for a visit!

Nice ambiance and good service. We ordered 3 different wines ranging in price from $12-$16: Italian Piedmont, Washington State Pinot and a Cote du Rhone. They were all disappointing, mostly one note wines similar to a house wine. Small plates of meatballs and Catalan bread were good but very small.

Great staff, good with pairing drinks/wine with food. The selection of scotch/bourbon/rye is as good as their wine selection. Nice place to meet have some food and drinks and relax.

I wonder how crowded this place can get, because it is quite an interesting place to check out. I went with my wife and met two friends there on a Friday evening. How did it go? How is the FSA? (Food, service, atmosphere) Food: First and foremost, this is a wine bar. So drinks will take priority over food on the menu. They have a sharing menu, consisting of small plates & tastings. We ordered 3 meats & 2 cheeses for the board: The meats, I have had better, was disappointed by the dryness and small portion of the speck, but the cheese was good. The soft French cheese in particular, it was like butter, and enjoyable. We also ordered the Hummus Trio, very good, as well as baked goat cheese in honey, also quite good. They have a big wine & liquor (whiskey, rye, bourbon) list, and also a nice list of microbrews, so come here for drinks, and more drinks. Service: I think the service was friendly & attentive. They brought out the food one at a time, which is good if you are all sharing, as opposed to throwing it all at us and clogging the table at once. Atmosphere: This is a converted 19th century home. The bar itself is small, so be sure to make a reservation for several seats if you are intending to be with a group. Very nice ambiance - chill with some surprising low volume rock choices. I do not go to Westchester bars anymore, but if you do need a place to grab a couple of drinks with a grown up crowd, this could be the place for you.

I had my first experience at Pour Cafe and Wine Bar. I loved that it's in an old house, which makes the ambiance quite unique. It turned out a perfect place to unwind and chat with my friend, everything accompanied with a glass of a wine and perfect bites of cheeses and flatbread. I particularly liked the ample selection of wines, mostly by the bottle. It's more limited by the glass. Anyway, they offer types that you cannot find in other places or restaurants, and actually, my expectation was to have something different. The food menu -I'd say- is just about right for a wine bar. We had a cheese sampler (3 different kinds), and a flatbread. It was more than enough for two. All the food was delicious! And how cannot be when is paired with a great glass of wine! Also, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Imagine. A wine bar with parking! Great selection of wines. Not a big food menu (not an "out for dinner" place), but perfect for nibbling and complementing the wine. Artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and flatbreads. Bring it on. Comfortable and sort of eccentric feeling. There's a regular bar and then cushy seating with little tables scattered through the rooms of what was formerly a house. Wouldn't mind a cup of coffee or espresso at the end of my tasting, but that's not offered.

  • Pete F.

Kept thinking why I should do 4 stars instead of 5, but I can't. For the refined and specific scope that they go for at Pour, it is the perfect place. It's either quiet enough to have a nice conversation or they're playing interesting music a reasonable level, the drinks are fantastic and creative, and the service is great - either from the owner himself or the bartender who's knowledgeable and not pretentious. These are the kind of local businesses that make living here worth living!

This place is simple and straightforward - Great wines, Amazing food, and nice ambiance. The menu is mostly Italian, the charcuterie is the best I've had in westchester and better than most spots in manhattan as well. It is not overpriced, the staff is friendly, and the food is AMAZING - consistant, delicious, and pairs with ANY wine. Seriously, I don't know why its not packed to capacity every night - with this kind of consistant quality its quickly established itself as a reliable place worth checking out. I have noticed that my servers from local restaurants are often dining here after they get out of work - always a good sign that a place is quality. Definitely check this out, you don't know what you're missing. Its not a restaurant, its a wine bar with food. Don't expect a steak, but expect to leave full and satisfied.
