Friendly staff that remembers every time even thought I live out state. I come here at least twice on my trips back to Albany. It is great for take out on the airplane or that fix when I arrive...

This really only covers their catering service, as I've not eaten in house. Food was very good, although portions were small for what I paid (and I'm not including the delivery charge in that). Good thing I wasn't actually trying to feed 10 people with the pasta dish (min order was for 10 people) because it wouldn't have been enough. I ordered catering to be delivered for a work luncheon. When I ordered a relatively small amount of food (just under $100 dollars worth and fit easily into two paper grocery bags) they neglected to mention the $25.00 delivery fee, which I only found out about when I called back to say that I thought I had been overcharged. Looking at the catering menu again I see it says on the back, "Delivery charges apply based on order." 10 bucks - Eh, OK. But had I known it was going to be 25, I would've gone elsewhere. And If they are going to charge a 25% delivery fee they really should be more up front and clear about it. In my haste I signed the charge slip and tipped the driver another $20. Yes, totally my bad for not immediately realizing something was off, but I was in a rush. So I just paid 45 bucks to have 96 dollars worth of food delivered. If the delivery fee is going to be 25%, they should be paying their driver out of it. I'm really disappointed. I was hoping to have found an awesome new caterer for our work luncheons but, when my bosses are telling me to watch expenses, I can't justify that delivery charge.

We ordered 4 catering platters for a party this evening and ALL WAS EXCELLENT!!! I am very impressed with the quality and portion of the food. I have never tried the actual deli but was impressed by the catering menu selection so decided to give it a try. All of my guests were very pleased with the delicious platters. This was very worth the money, most items are priced decent for catering. I will use multiple times for future events. It was good enough to want to leave a good review the night of. Thanks Saati!

Very underwhelming to say the least. I ordered a philly wrap to start, and they ended up being out of steak (many of their menu items call for it), and decided to go with a Turkey Reuben instead, with pasta salad as the side. I'll start with the pasta salad, as I wasn't impressed with its lack of flavor. The Reuben came out within 3 minutes, and it didn't even sit under the sandwich press long enough to melt the cheese on it. The flavor wasn't bad, and it was fresh cut turkey at least. They seem like this could have potential, but they need to figure out the basic logistics of the business as they're very scattered.

As passover approached we decided to join my wife's friend at her mother's for the first sedar. As we left, I apparently had a look of disappointment. My wife wanted to know why, and I knew it would sound stupid, so I tried to avoid the conversation. My grandmother always made chopped liver for Passover. There's something so fundamental about spreading it over a piece of matzoh and having the creaminess compete with the crunch. And at this sedar, there was no chopped liver. My wife had no experience with chopped liver, she's never had it before. She was not comfortable trying to make it, and we weren't really sure where we could get it. I remembered having been to Saati's a few times and we decided to try it out. They had passable bagels for Albany and they passed the bialy test (if you're looking to buy a bagel, order a bialy instead. If they don't know what it is, you're not getting a good bagel!). Figured they have a few of my childhood favorites, why not see if they could meet this need? Not only did they have chopped liver, but it was great. Just enough egg so you knew it was there. The oil was balanced so it didn't get all runny in the container over night. Just remained consistent for the next couple days so I could enjoy lunch during Passover. And they had macroons. My wife loves macroons all the time since they are gluten free and delicious. This year we couldn't get any macroons in the supermarkets, so we were planning to do without. This ended up being a pleasant surprise. And they also had one of my favorites from breakfast at grandma's... creamed herring. Best I have had in years.

I got the Turkey and Cheddar Melt which came with grilled tomatoes and mayo with my choice of bread. However when I asked for it on Ciabatta is was an additional 75 cents. I also substituted a choice of potato, macaroni salad, or coleslaw for fries, which wasn't an additional charge. The sandwich was awesome, the extra 75 cents for the ciabatta was worth it. The Turkey tasted as if it was off the bone, which was amazing, and the mayo was definitely not over barring. The fries were also amazing. My fiancé got the grilled pesto chicken sandwich with fresh mozzarella. The sandwich was definitely smaller than mine. He seemed to enjoy it however. Pricy, but you have to remember your not just getting a sandwich, fries as well. Also theres a discount for students with student ID! Because of that our sandwiches with 2 bottled drinks was $26. Service at first seemed rude and unwelcoming, but when we were ready to order we had a nice older gentlemen who was a pleasure. There is seating. You order at the counter and pay, and they give you a number to put on your table and they bring the food to you. Pretty big menu. They also serve dinner.

Rudest counterperson ever. I had an expired DoubleTake certificate that was still worth the $10 I paid for it, and even after i pointed this out in the fine print she treated me like I was trying to scam the restaurant. Otherwise, a nice enough place in a pleasant leafy plaza. The menu is an eclectic (hate that word but it applies here) mix of steam table entrees like roast chicken, deli sandwiches (but no subs) and a few middle eastern salads and sides in a cold case. A tall combo sandwich went by and it looked really good. But I had been under the impression it was a middle eastern place so I ordered tabbouleh, chickpea salad and fried eggplant to go. All were well above average, especially the eggplant. The total came to $9.43 and the server glared at me as if daring me to ask her to top it off and get full value for my money. Instead I slunk away, a potential new customer (it's near enough to the airport that it is a to-go choice for planes, though you'd need to allow for the slow service and the slow traffic on 9) turned into a non-returner.

Terrible, terrible and more terrible! Staff is so rude! We waited 40 minutes for cold sandwiches. And when we said something a thug like man representing himself, as a manager swore at my husband and I stating too bad we waited for two disgusting sandwiches. This place is a joke unless you like a prison like atmosphere. Any respectable person would not want to go here.

This is a great place- I love the smokey chicken salad sandwich... Fresh bread, great potato salad, black cherry soda to wash it down.

Saati Catering provided the most wonderful, beautiful, flavorful, FRESH food for my daughter's baby shower. I cannot recommend Saati's highly enough. Not only was it everything I could have hoped for, but the sheer quantity was even more than I anticipated and I had a LOT of happy people taking home some perfectly delicious food. The price is absolutely reasonable, the service stellar and the presentation perfect. Thank you, Ali and everyone who helped prepare this wonderful food for such an important day.

6 stars out of 5 for their customer service. Holy canole. I grew up in the restaurant business, so I'm difficult to impress, and these guys did it. The guy behind the counter was so incredibly patient and polite, and provided me with a menu and suggestions when I clearly didn't know what I wanted. The selection (eggplant sandwich) was out of this world and I can't wait to go back!

I visited on a Saturday with a couple friends, we arrived at noon and the place was empty. The tables are very small and a bit crowded together. We were served by a waitress, but it felt awkward having her get us refills when the beverage machine is on the customer side and about ten feet away from us. We took a while to order (the menu is HUGE). By the time we got our food all the tables were full. My avocado salad was smaller than expected and had about 1/2 of an under-ripe avocado on it. I'm glad I added chicken, or I would have left hungry! The side that was included with my friend's sandwich was insanely small. There were over priced random grocery items for sale by the beverages, it was a strange setup. Overall, the place was clean, the food was mediocre, the servings were small, but the service was friendly enough.

I have only tried Saati once, for take-out so this is a preliminary rating. It is a nice, small deli that has many of the deli foods that I like. The pastrami and corned beef on rye sandwiches I has were good. (Tip: Getting the pastrami cold for to-go and then heating in the microwave for a minute makes a simple hot pastrami that does not drip and soak through everything on the way home) Saati gets some points for trying to address the pickle issue. You know - including a pickle with your to-go order means pickle juice gets all over your sandwich, etc. Most places try to wrap the pickle in saran wrap or foil - that just does not work. Saati uses a little pickle bag - almost a good idea. It works, but juice still works its way out. :( Nice try. They also lose points from me for not having tongue or belly lox that I could find. I will give them another chance soon.

DON'T EVER ORDER FROM SAATI DELI & CATERING!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They forgot my soup in a large delivery order at the office, when I called back from the office number they didn't answer but when I called from my cell they answered right away! They told me they were going to bring my soup but then the manager called back and said he packed the order himself and he KNEW it was in there and he was NOT going to bring my soup! When I told him the office would no longer order from there he yelled at me and hung up in my ear!! VERY RUDE PEOPLE AND I STILL HAVE NO SOUP! THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE THE ONE STAR I GAVE but it made me pick at least one.

Call me un-American, or maybe just un-Eastern (yet), but I'm not really into delis. I really never have. Even in grade school, I got bored with sandwiches. I don't understand the appeal of Subway, and I doubt I ever will. But when one of my friends called me today to grab some lunch, she swore up and down how utterly fantastic this new-ish place is. "Indian influence, but it's a deli." That's what she said. Deli?, I thought. Uggh. Okay, this place has made me a believer. I like my lox or pastrami as much as the next guida, but this deli really did bring the goods. I enjoyed a Shawarmi wrap, with spiced and delicious chicken, grilled onions, and hummus (yeaahhhhh!!). The fries that came with it were to.die.for. Indeed, my lunch mate couldn't keep her vegetarian hands off them. Speaking of vegetarian, which I'm NOT, for clarification, apparently Albany isn't necessarily the epicenter for meatless meals, but my friend had no problem finding lots of delicious options. Her grilled vegetables and hummus sandwich was apparently super delicious, and I sampled her Asian seaweed pasta salad, and was seriously delighted. It was SO good! I think the noodles have seaweed in them, and it's got sesame oil and olives. Mmm! They had lots of pristine salads...an extensive menu of both all-American and Indian-inspired fare...and a good selection of bulk meats and dried fish. Other than the clearly delicious food (I have leftovers! Yeahhh!), the actual eating space isn't much different than your token Quiznos. However, it was spotless. Kudos for staying clean! Servers were really, excessively nice, and I couldn't help but give 'em a little tip. After a fountain drink and a $2 coupon and tip, I paid $11, and I still have a li'l somethin' for tomorrow. Go Saati!

Saati's is a fairly average deli... nothing fancy... nothing bad... though it's a bit pricey for the quality, and I've had better. The staff is generally very nice, and service is prompt. However, there is one secret weapon that keeps bringing me back to Saati's... they have Kurtos, which according to Saati's is "the original hungarian pastry." I cannot underscore how sublime this fairly simple pastry is. As best as I can describe it, Kurtos is made up of a flaky honey-dipped dough that is wrapped into a conical structure... and then topped w/ a variety of goodies, including my favorite... coconut. Even if you aren't in the mood for deli food, you must stop by and try out some Kurtos. They even have a free sample tray!

I went to the Sea Fish in Newton Plaza today to use a Groupon and found it's closed for business. A sign in the window directed me to Saati instead. The guy at the Saati counter was very friendly and said they'd accept my Groupon. No problem. I had $30 to spend so I went to town getting several take out items: challah French toast, egg bacon and cheese on an English muffin, large matzoh ball soup, and a turkey club. It was ready in just a few minutes. All of the food was so good, even after 15 minutes in the car. Excellent French toast and egg sandwich! The matzoh ball soup was still a little too salty. Maybe next time...

Really great salads (again today). Hot food best when fresh as when it sits for a ehe it dries out. Soups are usually outstanding and worth the trip though the chicken matzo ball soup today had WAY too much salt Service pleasant. Floors need a good cleaning.

Had takeout at work and the food was delicious. Tonight (4/20) I stopped to pick up dinner, there were about 6 people seated in the place. Stood at the counter for about 5 minutes and the girl behind the counter never acknowledged me. I left and went to Crisp a couple doors away.

We live nearby and this is an occasional lunch spot for my husband and me when we get a little time off work together. So it's familiar and we know what we like. The people are polite and friendly. It is clean and the food is fresh. We like the soups and I really like the hummus dishes, delish. My husband is a sandwich guy. It's companionable without being crowded. Tons of parking, just stroll in. Good value and always hits the spot.

Not your grandpa's deli! I love it as a deli, bakery, middle-eastern/Israeli and an Eastern European deli. Great selection of salads, smoked meats and fish, baked goods - check out the unique Hungarian dessert. Sandwiches are huge, I always take half of it home. Much better ambiance than Gershon;s in Schenectady, quieter, lighter, airier. Interesting selection of of dry mixes (rice, pasta_ to take home. Great breads too.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
