We've ordered from First Oasis for delivery multiple times, and the food is always very good. However, the shortest wait we've ever had is an hour. We placed an order this evening at 7:17pm. At 8:24 we called to check up on the order since it was past the usual hour wait. We were told 15 minutes. At 8:48 we called back again to find out what was going on. When I asked for some sort of consideration for the time we spent waiting, I was hung up on. The food finally arrived at 9:05, at which point we had already decided to go for cheese steaks. When we refused the order and asked for a refund on the card, the delivery person put us on the phone with someone at the restaurant. At that point they tried to offer us 10% off, but we were no longer interested. It's really a shame that such good food would be spoiled with such poor service, but we won't be ordering from them again.

I am a fan of one dish and one dish only here. The kafta nayye. For all you people out there who think you are connoisseurs of Middle Eastern food and think it consists of hummus and kababs, you are sadly mistaken. Until you can eat raw ground lamb mixed with cumin, spices and raw burgul (cracked wheat), rolled with parsley, drizzled with olive oil, and served up, ur just amateurs. Nelly and I are big fans of this stuff, and usually eat it ONLY and exclusively at her mom's house in Beirut, as her mother gets the freshly butchered meat from that morning's kill, mixes the meat and fat herself, gets the right blend, and makes the best kibbe nayye you would ever have. It would probably have a very small market in the US if we tried to open a food truck but hey, it might work. First oasis did an amazing job. The owners are Egyptian and Syrian, but they did a phenomenal job of making a kibbe nayye that mimicked those found in some of the best establishments in Beirut. (I've tried them all, just settled on eating only Nabilas). Mixed with some of their fattouch, which was only ok, I really was very satisfied with the resulting dinner. The rest of the food, although alright was way too heavy for my taste, and leaned more towards Egyptian cuisine, which does not pander to me. Nevertheless, I would definitely, if you are adventurous, as many of you claim to be, challenge your palates and eat raw lamb. Its by far the best.

Stellar / top notch Middle Eastern cuisine. I believe the owner is Lebanese because the flavorings and sauces have a Lebanese spin to them. The Magic Combination for one is a stupendous value. You'll be bursting at the seams for $17. Honestly, I don't know how a human being can consume all that food. I saw people eating schwarma sandwiches which looked and smelled divine. Highly recommended.

Hands down, this is one Middle Eastern place that you NEED to try. For those of you a little hesitant and asking, "What is Middle Eastern cuisine?", I find the selection at First Oasis to be very similar to what you might find in a good Greek restaurant. So if you enjoy Greek food, you've got a 95% chance that you'll like the food at First Oasis. We opted to get the Magic Combination for two - for about $35, my partner and I were treated to a buffet of appetizers - babaganouj, hummus, falafel, and salad - as well as an excellent selection of meats, including a homemade sausage that was incredibly tender and flavorful. The hummus was seductively flavorful and creamy, and paired with the warm, fresh pita that just kept coming. The meats were served alongside tender vegetables and over a delicious and fluffy rice. We indulged in dessert, and the rice pudding was absolutely a decadent and creamy delight (and the rose water adds a lovely floral afternote). I chose the Halavah - nutty, creamy, sweet and completely filling. We found the service to be excellent. It was slow paced, but sitting in the back garden (where it was almost entirely quiet) armed with cocktails, we didn't mind. Both the chef and waiter consistently asked us how everything was, and everything was served with a smile. Bottom line: you will not be disappointed (or anything less than full to bursting) when you eat here.

The waiter is amazing, the business is family owned. The food is so fresh and delish, there is no room to complain. I usually get the magic combination, enough food to fill two people. They started to have a belly dancer on saturday nights .I believe it begins at 8 or 8:30. . Fun to watch. I come here every other monthk, and brings several of my friends. Always a satisfying experience. =)

Gave this place a try thanks to a discounted gift certificate from restaurant.com and was glad I did. We started with the falafel and it was really yummy (as was the mint-infused salad it was served with). As for the entrees - the meats were ridiculously tender (could cut with the side of your fork!) and well flavored...but the side dishes left a little to be desired. The restaurant is intimate, clean and nicely decorated - would have given it 5 stars for atmosphere if it wasn't for the random middle eastern music videos blaring on the mounted flat screen TVs. Will happily visit again...even without a discount. :)

The food was good, but the service was slow even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I guess the kitchen and wait staff was busy filling take-out and delivery orders.

Expect to wait awhile for your food but that is because they take great care in how the dish is prepared. The food is very fresh indeed and will not disappoint in that regard. The waiter is very nice as well as the chef who takes great pride in the dishes he serves.

ooooooooooo belly dancers! i really enjoyed my experience here. i strolled by one Christmas evening and thought it would be nice to celebrate New Year's 2007 at this establishment. the owners are extremely sweet and accommodating. the hummus is amazing and fresh... the Falafel could be better- but it's still pleasing. the grape leaves are memorable and finely prepared. the belly dancers are very interactive and fun. they grabbed random people from their tables and had them dance! i love that. =)

My wife and I tried First Oasis about 2 years ago on the Brooklyn Dines Out offer. So we had the combo meal which came to about $20 and we were stuffed. Nice sized portions. I recommend the ouzi which is sort of like a middle eastern shepherds pie. The other thing is everytime we go inside it looks brand new meaning that they keep the restaurant spotless. Finally while First Oasis is great to sit down and have a wonderful meal the take out can be a bit of a nightmare. It took over an hour for 1 ouzi and a beef gyro. Other than that I have no complaints with them.

I ordered to-go and the falafel was great. Hummus was rather good too, not the best I've had but still very good. My mother loved their chicken kebab & claimed it was one of the best ones she's had here in brooklyn.

First oasis is a great middle eastern restaurant that serves delicious and fresh food always. The restaurant is a little plain at lacks atmosphere but the food is awesome and will always lure me in when I'm craving fatoush.

WHY CHOSEN: Feeling like having a falafel while in this neighborhood, & this was one of the only places with decent reviews in the area, as we did not want to eat at UNO Chicago. DECOR/ATMOSPHERE: Pretty gimmicky and cliche Middle Eastern decor; Middle Eastern MTV playing pop hits from far away lands. STAFF: The staff is sort of stern and cold, until you start complimenting the food, then you can get a smile out of them. FOOD/DRINK: OMG... DELICIOUS! Try their hot sauce, tastes like homemade! An awesome vegetarian section of menu, and I am thankful they use parsley, not cilantro. (Falafel balls, however, may still contain cilantro). The Dried Apricot juice, listed on their in-house menu, is actually no more... truly, a sad time for all. The hummus is a MUST TRY..and come back for.. and again... and again. VALUE: Fantastic value, $5 or $6 worth of food will send you away napping with dreams of belly-dancers. OVERALL: If it wasn't so far out there into Brooklyn, it would quickly become my standard falafel spot, although many of the other dishes seemed tempting as well. (visited: 8/24/12)

This place was empty when we came in on a Sunday night which was shocking considering how good it is! I had the spinach pie for a starter and then the Kubeh (ground beef covered in bulgur, and fried) for dinner. The owner was really nice and gave us complimentary baklava (which melted in my mouth it was so good) and he even came out to talk to us!

Delicious food in generous portions at affordable price. However, they take a long time to prepare the food, whether you are eating in, taking out, or getting delivery. Nice people, delicious food, but a very relaxed pace.

well, bay ridge honda's service department managed to take 3 hours to make a key... a KEY... so the hubs and i ventured into the surrounding neighborhood for some eats. we landed in the right spot! i got the salmon. i think i was served a whole salmon. seriously, a HUGE SLAB. easily 2 meals. wonderful steamed veggies came with it, and i had a gorgeous greek salad to start. the dipping sauces they brought us were incredible. my husband's dinner looked great as well. excellent excellent value here. and cool middle-eastern music videos on 2 TV's so you can both stare away while you stuff your faces. we were very happy with our meals and will be returning the next time the car needs a tiny little job that takes an extended period of time.

Lately we've been ordering from First Oasis a lot, and we're very impressed and happy. Ultra-fresh food, prepared with great care, and served in ridiculously large portions. The meats are well-seasoned and juicy; the salads are well-composed and very fresh, with yummy little added kicks; the falafel is possibly the very best I've ever had (yes, I know I also have previously said this about a place in lower Manhattan, but First Oasis beats Alfanoose handily, on everything); the hummus - well, it's creamy, garlicky, and just a little taste of heaven. We have enjoyed absolutely everything except for one dish - chicken kofta that I found surprisingly gamey; I thought we might have been given the lamb my mistake, but they swore it was chicken, so whatever - and we are happy to wait a little longer for our delivery: First Oasis begs your patience, as they say everything is prepared to order, and I believe it.

This area actually has a fair numberof options for middle eastern food, and this is one of them. I havent actually eaten in the restaurant, but had done take out many times. The food is actually quite good. However, expect to wait a long time. Everytime we ordered, the delivery took forever. The fatoosh salad is good, as well as all the apps ie. stuffed grape leaves. The soups are my favorite though. very very filling and very tasty as well.

Consistently well prepared food in large portions. I ordered the half chicken and falafel for dinner and ended up eating it for lunch the next day. The chicken was juicy, sweet, and tender. It had a kind of barbeque sauce flavor but with a middle eastern twist. I've also had the chicken sharawma DELISH. Falafel was crispy and came with a bed of salad. I really love First Oasis' food! Everything tastes fresh, home cooked and delicious!

Any time I come here I'm simply baffled by the fact that a restaurant with such fresh ingredients and a wide scoped menu is empty. I always see their delivery guys running in and out with a bunch of bags so they're doing something right! A few friends, family and I came here for dinner and WOW. Their falafel is shaped unlike anything I've seen. It's crispy exterior compliments the fully cooked interior and the flavor is to die for. The homus and babaghanouj appetizers are freshly made and you can tell by the consistency and flavor. Master Chef and owner Sayeed always comes out to greet us and check to make sure all is well and I find that very considerate. It's a personal experience when you come here, especially when you have that urge for mom/grandma's home cooked meals. I had the Mixed Grill Shawerma Supreme, which followed a Vegetarian Combination Supreme. You can EASILY share that with another depending on how hungry you are. Their waiter is such a nice guy with an old school Arab look on his face that says: "Don't worry about a thing, I'll take care of you." He occasionally presents us with either dessert or home made freshly brewed Mint Tea on the house! I absolutely love this place and I'm sure I'll be back. A couple of my friends are vegetarians and their vegetarian menu is NOT to be taken lightly. Their Mussaka is to die for. It's in a thick, yet welcoming tomato sauce with garlic, pepper, thin cut potatoes and seasoned to perfection. The Spinach Pie is infused with feta cheese and flavored very nicely with filo dough. They've been open for more than a decade so that goes to show they have something really special here! They cook their hearts out. I'll most definitely be back time and time again to remind myself that happiness is served with some falafel and a starter salad!

Wow Oasis! This spot was empty last night when I walked in with my BF for dinner- and an empty restaurant is usually a red flag for me. The reviews seemed to give this place a lot of praise so we went for it. This spot is a gem. The chicken kebabs were out of this world, perfectly spiced and cooked- and that goes for all the meat on the Mixed Grill. We got the plate for 2 and it was plenty of food. The falafel was fresh and made to order. If you can believe it, the steamed veggies had flavor and still a little crunch. The hummus could've had more garlic, but that's my personal preference. Check this place out, it's worth it 100%. Great prices, service, and delicious eats

Super excellent food. Bursting with flavor, each dish was beautifully presented. My husband commented that even the salad which came on the side with the falafel platter was delicious. Usually you just get some shredded lettuce, but not here. We came in late (9:30) & the place was empty, so you KNOW everything had to be made FRESH. simply OUTSTANDING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is for a delivery order. Food was hot upon arrival and arrived under 40 minutes on a Sunday night. Gentleman on the phone was courteous and straightforward. The entrees are on the large side. So you can definitely share the delicious food! Highly recommend the lamb makloubeh (lamb meat is tenderly grilled with light spices on a bed of fried eggplants and delicious white rice), green peas, sweet golden raisins and cashew nuts decorate your entree to offer a mix of savory and sweet tastes. The kibbi balls appetizer is yummy too. The ayran drink is of a thick smoothie-like consistency. It might be more of a savory taste to be accompanied with a grilled meat. Just know that it's not really sweet or fruity. The plain drink could take some getting used to! I also ordered the babaghanuj regular... as opposed to deluxe-- deluxe comes with meat This right here could've been my meal alone for the night. Delicious and classic tastes of Middle Eastern cuisine. I believe you get side of warm pita bread for all your entrees or hummus/babaghanuj. ***Also... the son of the owner delivered himself. That was very cool for a first time customer!

Great family-owned business. First Oasis is a fantastic place for middle-eastern cuisine. I visited this place with my family after a walking tour along the Brooklyn greenway. Great vegetarian options as well as wine selection.

Crisp and clean. And I am just talking about the food. This place is a secret, don't tell anyone, so help me g*d if I found out you told anyone. It is the perfect restaurant. You walk in, get a table for 4-6-8. Guess what? It is yours for the night. They aren't rushing you. Hungry? Thirsty? Taken care of. With crisp and clan food. The food is amazing, the menu a little long but everything is good quality. The wait staff is not your traditional locals. You want something you gotta yell for it, but that is fine. Hands down favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in the area.

My mother and I popped in here for lunch yesterday. What a fantastic meal and value! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. No complaints! Excellent vegetarian options and more than at most places. I highly recommend you try the falafel- love the sesame seeds on top. Generous serving sizes as well, so be ready to take home yummy leftovers for later.

The food here is pretty good, not the best in Bay Ridge, but definitely not the worst. First Oasis falls somewhere in the middle, some items are really good, but others miss the mark. I usually order their lunch portions for delivery, but so far have not been impressed. Some of the grilled plates are usually overcooked and dry, so I prefer the shwarma plates. The hommus and salad are okay, but the rice is really dry sometimes and tastes like it has been sitting out all day. To be honest, I think it's overpriced for the amount of food you get. But then again I've only tried the lunch portions. All in all, I occasionally order from here but it's not my favorite. There are plenty of other middle eastern restaurants in Bay Ridge that can complete.

I've been going to First Oasis in Bay Ridge for many years. I used to go to their place in the village and was delighted to know they had a location in my new neighborhood (13+ years ago!) The food is authentic, fresh and simply unbeatable. It's amazing! Since everything is fresh it understandably takes some time. First Oasis is what got me to use Seamless, but their delivery times keep getting longer and longer. If you plan to take out be prepared for an hour - hour and a half wait. Recently when I've called to check in on my orders at the 60 minute mark (after the stated 30-45 minute delivery time frame) I'm met with excuses and attitude. Not cool. The owner is awesome. I haven't seen the older son in a while, so I think the owner has his younger sons or other family members stepping in to help manage the restaurant. Sadly, they're destroying their reputation fast! Overall ... Best food ever, but expect at least and hour and half wait and when you call to check in on what should've arrived in 30-45 minutes expect a major attitude. When you finally recover you order 90 minutes later they won't even apologize. To better manage their customers expectations and to preserve their reputation, I would suggest they increase their delivery time frames from 30-45 minutes to 60+ minutes. They'd avoid a lot of bad reviews and preserver their reputation that's clearly being destroyed to the owners younger generation RUDE offspring.

The food was pretty good, but the one star is taken off for the decor of the place. It's really dark even for lunch. The moussaka was very garlicky but I like it hot. It was luke warm. Everything else was okay. The chicken was flavorful. All in all good.

Lunch special is a great deal! BEST FALAFEL EVER! It made the rest seem okay - the chicken shawarma was good....but the falafel a OWNED

Went here last night with a couple friends after walking up and down 3rd and 4th avenues for a while looking for some place that didn't have $20+ entrees and vegetarian options that weren't just salads. There was no one inside so we were a bit skeptical but the menu looked very appealing so we went in. So, so, SO glad we chose this place!! We started out with babaghanouj and pita and it was delightful. The flavor of the smoked eggplant was outstanding! I ordered the fava bean salad, my friend ordered the spinach pie platter and her boyfriend ordered the vegetarian couscous. I'm telling you, the mixture of herbs and flavors that they use here are phenomenal. And the portions were so big!! We could barely finish our meals and had big, huge, fully satisfied bellies when we left. I am definitely going to be eating from here more often just so I can try everything else on the menu!!

I love their food! We'll cooked. I usually order chicken with rice. Their falafel is a MUST try especially with the white sauce. One minor problem: I ordered a soda which they call "coke" It did not taste like Pepsi nor coco cola . So I ended up going to the nearby store and purchasing a cold 2 liter Pepsi. ( I love my Pepsi.) I cannot handle drinking foreign soda. I'm assuming they make it in a machine. So yeah. Silly problem but I solved it. I highly recommend them :)

Dropped by here randomly the other night for dinner and it exceeded my expectations. We had the veggie combo and the special for the night, lamb shank, and both were amazingly delicious. The falafel is definitely one of the best in the city, and the lamb was so juicy and succulent, the meat was falling off the bone! We also got to try their baklava which was heavenly - it was warm and just so perfectly textured and flavored. The service was also wonderful. Definitely could not have asked for more.

Great place...although I've never gone in there, we order take out from it almost weekly. The food is always fresh and you can't beat the price. Hands down the best mediterranean place in bayridge. Love the babaganoush!

  • Sunny B.

If you're in search of good Mediterranian food, try this place! The hummus and pita (they served both white and wheat) were perfect - creamy and delicious! I ordered the Fattoush Salad. Oh my goodness! I am still thinking about how amazing it was, and dreaming of the day I'll be back to have it again! It was only a little awkward inside, as we were the only table for the first half hour.

First Oasis is one of my favorite neighborhood takeout options. I probably get food here once every two weeks and I've never been disappointed by a meal. My favorites are the the magic combination platter, hummus deluxe, and mjaddarah. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.

    (5)
  • Thomas Z.

A sleeping gem. They serve my favorite shish tawook in the entire borough, now that Fountain Cafe closed. Al Safa makes a better sandwich admittedly but for the meat itself, this is the winner. The hummus is creamy and delicious with the perfect texture and balance of garlic. Hummus is a barometer of food from the Arab Mashreq. Baba is smoky, rich and balanced. Salad's whatever but the tabbuleh's quite good. And I make a lot of tabbuleh. Shish Kabob's tasty and very tender. They serve combination plates -for two (really 3) and 3 (really 5 or 4 Arabs) featuring all of the above as well as rice.

    (5)
  • Kendra C.

The food here is not just delicious, but FRESH. My friend and I shared the veg combo, replete with the little platter in the picture and veggies and rice. It's a very lovely candle-lit place, perfect for dates, not borderline Coyote Ugly in lighting. Our waiter was "soo nice" as he made sure we were taken care of and his tip was as well. The chef even came out to ask how our food was. Partly because it was a slow night, but according to my friend, they do that all the time.

  • Andy G.

I have lived here all my life and eaten my way through every strata of the food culture, and First Oasis (chef-owned and operated) still stands out as having cooked some of the best meals I have ever had. If you're tired of basic, boring, eh-quality New American yuppie fare, take a train down to Bay Ridge and prepare to have your socks knocked off. Absolutely everything that leaves the kitchen is a grand slam. Culinary virtuosity of a rare type. GO.

  • Jim P.

I don't like it when my plans get sidetracked. I had a falafel lunch on my brain today, and couldn't quite make it into the city. Well it's nice to know that Bay Ridge has this option for really excellent Middle Eastern food. Just a simple Falafel in a pita, but it was really very good, and filling and under $5 total. The waiter/ bartender is a really nice guy, and very friendly. He told me his Dad who still runs this place used to have a location in the Village called the Red / Magic carpet, that was very popular. This place is quality, and reasonably priced with friendly service.

  • Kaxy m.

The food here is truly great. I sampled the veggie platter - everything rocked, the falafel, the hummus, the babaganoush were amazing, the magic combo - a sampler of kebabs which were nicely marinated and cooked perfectly, and a lamb dish, whose name i do not remember, but it was with rice, raisins, nuts, wrapped in phyllo dough, and that was quite extraordinary. Portions are big. The only reason I'm taking off one star is that there's no decor of any sort and the service was pretty much non-existent. There was only one waiter an he avoided us like a plague.

  • Amanda A.

Being I am of Middle Eastern descent, I am aware of good middle eastern food and this place possesses an A all across the board for excellence. I absolutely love falafel and they master it very well. My favorite entree is the Chicken Kebob, it's so fresh and tender, alongside with veggies and rice. Definitely a good amount of food and its made to order, fresh. There are a lot of other great dishes to choose from, including the chicken and veggie Ouzi, which is a popular choice. I highly recommend this restaurant. It has a nice family feel to it which makes you welcome and feel like you're right at home. Cut the comparisons, First Oasis is #1 for Middle Eastern Cuisine in Brooklyn.

  • Ken P.

There are so many good things to sample at the First Oasis and it is probably one of the best restaurants of this kind in Bay Ridge. I have only had a handful or so of their fare, but can safely speak highly of the Falafel, the Chicken Schwarma and the Homus. The kebabs were also rather tasty and made just right. My family and I have eaten there a couple of times in the casual and comfortable dining room but also taken stuff out to go. It's reasonably priced and worth a visit. As a Middle Eastern type restaurant this one clearly stands high above its competition. While a great place in my opinion I can say that take out orders are a little long in getting to you. My guess is that the time is based on all the food being fresh so that is acceptable in my book.

My husband & I attended a friend's birthday dinner on a Friday night. The service and food was phenomenal! We order the Magic Combination (2 course meal) for 2. The appetizers were hummus, babaghanouj, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and salad. A basket of pita bread was served with the appetizers. This was already a meal in itself! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The hummus and babaghanouj was perfect and creamy. I loved the salad as well. The main course included a choice of lamb or beef kebob, chicken and kufta kebob over rice and steamed fresh mixed vegetables. We had the lamb & chicken kebob and chicken kufta. This is clearly a platter for 2 unless you have an extremely hearty appetite. Overall, we had a great time. I can't praise the waiter enough who served our party that night. He was pretty much a one-man job- server, waiter, bar-tender, cashier, host....impeccable! Def come here for the best middle eastern food!

  • M M.

Ive eaten in this place once. Not the best service. The food however, is delicious. I have ordered take out from here on many occasions. I usually order the hummus platter with falafel extra pita and extra zadziki sauce. The fatoush salad (a small one comes with the platter) is heavenly. Its like taking a giant bite out of freshness. Its well seasoned and its chock full of all the good stuff, not just some simple pile of iceberg lettuce. No, this chef cares. The delivery can be a little sluggish, but its worth it. The hummus is about what you would expect from hummus. The spinach pie can be a little over cooked on occassion. I enjoyed the kebbeh balls. The grape leaves are most definitely canned but i always order them. Ive found the meat entrees too pricey so i usually avoid them. The Kebobs are good. What can I say? These people know how to cook a goat.

One of my favorite restaurants..delicious food and good service. Great vegetarian selection. It's usually pretty empty which I can never understand why.

Absolutely exquisite cuisine, their flavours are always on point. With great service, the young gentleman that took care of us made it a wonderfully inviting experience. An authentic family run establishment with atmosphere, it is baffling that they weren't packed. Go for their marinated meats. When complimented by the tasty house mediterranean salad, you'll be left most satisfied!

My only excuse for not getting food from First Oasis until recently is the plethora of amazing Middle Eastern food in Bay Ridge. However, without naming names -- some are too pricey for weeknight takeout, others lack in service, and one of my favorites does not deliver. One evening we pulled a First Oasis menu out of our take-out pile, took a look at Yelp and gave it a go. We ordered a fava bean salad, a falafel with babaganouj sandwich, and a vegetarian combo platter. EVERYTHING was great -- fresh, garlicky, flavorful -- and the portions are insane. I could easily split one combo platter into dinner and 2 lunches. It's become a regular takeout spot for us now.

This Mediterranean restaurant is incredible and the prices can't be beat. I have been here a couple times as well as ordered delivery. They have a lot of great choices that you would expect, such as hummus, Falafel, Babaghanuj and Mussakka. My favorite is their grape leaves, they are homemade and served warm. I usually get their hummus which is very tasty served with warm pita bread. For entree I love their lamb cous cous. It has chunks of lamb stewed with fresh vegetables and potatoes in a red sauce served with a side of cous cous which is prepared with raisins and nuts. The thing that makes this dish is their homemade spicy red sauce that you have to ask for, its that amazing. They make great fresh mint tea which is a great addition to this already excellent meal. They offer free delivery and accept credit cards. The dining room is cute, but both times I was in here it wasn't very busy. They used to have this restaurant in Manhattan but had to leave due to the cost of rent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for in house dining or delivery. You can def share all the meals and eat like a king for under 20.00.

We order in from here almost every week. Huge portions, very tasty and reasonably priced. I've tried many items on the menu but have to say the lamb ouzi is my favorite. It is lamb, rice, carrots, peas, nuts and raisins covered with phyllo dough and served with a yogurt sauce on the side. So good. May have to order it tonight.

Best tasting & most consistent Middle Eastern food. Love the vegi combo's. Big selection. They let you mix hot and cold appitizers with out over charging. Everything is delish. The falafel is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and sprinkled with seseme seeds. Try the ouzi. A fried rice with pine nuts and peas wrapped in phyllo dough. You can get the ouzi with lamb, chicken, beef or vegi. It comes with yogurt cucumber salad. Ive only seen this dish on one other menu before. A good dish for sharing. The spinich pie is very different then anyone's I ever had. They use a lot of onions to get great flavor. The tubuleh salad is perfect for me when I want to eat light. I also love the hummas, Babaghaunuj and the mjaddarah. My meat eating friends are crazy about the chicken and lamb dishes. They come with a very delish rice. The rice is cooked in a vegi broth that gives it wonderful flavor. They make the hummas fresh everyday & chop the tubuleh salad only after you order it. That is extra work and not common. Parking is usually found with in 10 minutes. You can get parking valitdated for only 3 bucks right accross a street. We love the waiter Tyrek and owner chef Saheed. They aim to please and do a good job. I eat here at least once a week. Ive taken over 30 people there in the last 5 years and they all agree with me. Try it and you will see what i'm talking about. Food is great. Service is a bit on a slow side but staff is very polite. I was waiting for my party to arrive so they offered me some tea. The place is not very big and cozy. Food is mostly Syrian and general Mediterranean. They do serve wine.
