Wanted to love it! We ordered takeout on Memorial Day weekend. My brisket sandwich was ROOM TEMPERATURE! Not hot, not cold, it was right there in the danger zone. My husband will only say his pulled pork sandwich was okay, I nuked it even though it was not as tepid as mine, for safety's sake. The chicken wings were not disjointed. We ordered a dozen and got 6 whole wings...including the inedible tips. They had no sauce on them even though the cashier asked which sauce we'd like on them. For sides, the corn on the cob was over-cooked and the hush puppies were belly bombs, heavy! Like I said, we wanted to love it. Living close to a good bbq place would be a dream. That evening I kept thinking that the owner should know that food was going out the door was not at a safe temp. Someone is going to get sick. And we won't go there for wings since there was nothing appealing about them. I suspect that Captain S could get better bbq in Queens...maybe he visits the adorable cashier who works there.

Came here for the first time on a rainy July 4th. Rain can't stop the craving for good BBQ! We got a combo of beef brisket and ribs with sides of collard greens, mac and cheese, and a serving of pulled pork. I think one look at the pic below clearly illustrates that the ribs, in fact, have plenty of meat and if you don't like fat, you shouldn't be eating BBQ in the first place. I will concede, however, that they are not the best ribs you will ever eat. They are just plain good. The brisket, however, was excellent. As another user mentioned, the meats are seasoned but not sauced. In full agreement that the Carolina sauce was yummy on everything. The collard greens were pretty phenomenal. Coleslaw was just okay, a little under seasoned. All in all, great BBQ that is well priced and BYOB - can't beat that. Good luck to them, I will be back!

This is the worst BBQ place I have ever eaten .The ribs are full of fat. There is no meat on these ribs. Make sure you have cash as this is a Cash Only. They do have an ATM. I would never eat here again!

The ribs are excellent. The Carolina sauce is also good but the ribs are served without being sauced. They don't need it; they're that good. The cornbread is pretty good too, but the brisket on the day of my visit was a bit dry. Service was friendly but terribly slow, likely due to the non-stop flow of customers. Portions are a bit small and a rack of ribs is served all ready cut up in pieces. It did not look like a full rack. I suggest you ask that the full rack be left intact. The ribs were that good that you can overlook everything else. I'd rate these ribs higher than all others in the Hudson Valley, and I've tried them all. I expect to return and hope they get the service ironed out.

I drive from Queens, NY once a month for this BBQ. Slammin brisket, bomb ribs and the BBQ nachos are awesome.
