While this Coldstone Creamery is in a very central location in Queens Center Mall, it was very quiet when I came. There was only one other customer and inside wasn't as bright as other Coldstones that I have been too. However, the sales girl was very nice and made my Birthday Cake remix perfectly.

Oh my gosh, this place is heavenly. If you have any addiction to ice cream, especially chocolate ice cream, you'll love this place. You pick out an ice cream flavor, then the different things you want in it, such as chocolate chips, brownie, and hot fudge. Then, they mix it all together on this cold stone slab. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

The staff here is awesome! They blew me away with a little show where one of the employees who was making my icecream threw my scoop over the counter to another employee who caught it in the cup. Wasn't really a big fan of Cold Stone until today. The icecream was great, but the experience was greater. Huge shoutout to Orett and Corey! Hope all other Cold Stones are as poppin' as this one.

First timer at Cold Stone Creamery believe it or not. I lived in Elmhurst for almost 20 years and noticed Cold Stone open up in Queens Palace Center after Stern's Department store (formerly Macy's) closed down. For some reason I just never bothered going to Cold Stone even though I love ice cream. So I decided to try their "The Pie Who Loved Me" special and our friends tried a few others. Their "Birthday cake remix" was pretty darn good. The Pie Who Loved Me is made of cheesecake ice cream with graham crackers and another ingredient. It tasted pretty good but it is extremely heavy and thick. I came here with my wife and 2 friends and realized the way they operate in here is a bit different from other ice cream parlors. It's almost like a ice cream bar where they mix your ice cream ingredients on a ice board. It's a interesting technique but time consuming that holds up the line. It's a cool idea, but it doesn't look very quick and efficient on hot summer days. Verdict - Rich and creamy for sure but it's heavy! I could barely eat anything else afterwards. On the brighter side, the lady who made our ice cream was extremely nice but I just can't imagine this joint making each ice cream speciality by hand and using that ice board with each order. The wait time can seem a bit absurd for just ice cream and on another note; I wish their scoops were larger. Their waffle cones and bowls were gigantic and their scoop sizes were a bit mini to my standards.

I don't get why there aren't more cold stones around. There's two in queens that I know of, in atlas mall and the other in Elmhurst next to target. I love them. I usually get a tarty/creamy flavor. It's a bit expensively but so worth it, a small in a cup is enough for two people.

We frequent this Cold Stone for many years when we want an ice cream cake for birthdays and special occasions. This weekend we stopped by again for another birthday cake! We picked one of their pre-made layer cakes from the freezer a lemon cake with gummy fruit pieces on top and sprinkles on the side. ($29.99) I was pretty good. Rate it 4/5. Tip- the store is located on the ground floor of the mall on the outside. Parking is not easy. There are mostly metered parking but if you go across the street (Queens Blvd) it is easier to find both metered spaces and free spaces.

I came here because what better way is there than ice cream and AC to cool off on such a hot day and I'll admit I enjoyed what I got. However, I asked for one of the signature creations in a waffle cone cup, but the very confused girl behind the counter ended up making up her own creation, forgot to put it in a waffle cone cup and gave me a size larger than what I asked for. When I questioned her she said she was having a bad day and had a lot on her mind. Also, while I appreciate the attempt at keeping the place clean, wiping down my table while I'm sitting there eating is not the way to do it. A little training couldn't hurt!

Took my boyfriend here for the first time and it was also my first time here, as I live on Long Island. We ordered a large to share and the guy gave us a generous portion that overflowed the large cup. He let us try a few flavors and was very accommodating and nice. He finished our order before taking anyone else's even though we were slow and there were other customers waiting. Love Coldstone!

I love me self some Coldstone Creamery, but this location seems to find ways to irritate me. Super loud, club volume, pop music blasting into my ears as I'm working through my order in my head. 2 slow employees behind the counter. One is extremely lethargic, uninterested, looks miserable. The other, who served me, was kind so that makes up for his lack of energy. The seating area was not clean. Tables were covered in melted ice cream. I suppose I should blame the customers for being sloppy ice cream piggies but then again, the staff should clean them (the tables not the customers). Oh, and to make matters worse, while I ate my Oreo Overload, I was reading a Yelp review by a former employee at that location who gave it a 1 star and revealed lots of gross secrets... Made me ask myself why I even stopped in. If it weren't for the sinfully delicious taste of Coldstone, I'd give this place a 1. Will I come back? Only if there's no line and I have a strong craving.

Cold stone is some good ice cream. I don't eat it often but when I do its always a pleasure. I found this location to be in the perfect spot to pick up some ice cream when you are done shopping all around this area. The store could have been cleaner but It seemed like there were only two people working the entire store.. and both of them being busy nonstop does not leave time for maintenance, especially cleaning tables.

One of the few Coldstones in NYC that has an A grade but a chain is a chain is a chain. Coldstone's prices in general are too high & they got rid of things I like (such as the signature "At the Copacabana Banana"). They also NEVER have discounts & even for your birthday club membership, they send you a "buy one, get one free" coupon that obligates your dining companion & you to eat the SAME type of ice cream. What if one person wants to create their own & the other wants a signature? What if you don't even have a significant other? This "buy one, get one free" stuff on your birthday is just a slap in the face if you're single & not dating/living with anyone who will buy the first ice cream. When we walked into this one some nights back, there was no one behind the register. A person was in front of us wondering what the deal was with that. Finally, we got helped and got our ice cream. It seems they don't get a lot of business at night during the winter months so we didn't have to deal with crowding. However, aside from corporate policies, my husband has told me about this particular location not being open at their claimed opening time so I do wonder what's going on with this particular location's management.

The product is good, but the service is slow. Even when there is no line in the store, the workers are slow. I was the only person in the store once, and it took the workers about three minutes to notice that someone walked in. The ice cream is yummy. I get their cakes here all the time for my siblings birthday. Unfortunately they never have red frosting and always try to force me to put blue frosting on a red cake, but then they realize that they are wrong and get their lazy selves to make that frosting. By the way, they don't have any blue cakes ready to buy. Also, the last time I got a cake from them the penmanship was horrible and the worker did not put much effort into writing on the cake as half of the last letter on the cake was cut off.

I work in a cold stone at the moment , not this one, and I've been craving ice cream most of the time, luckily there's a cold stone next to my boyfriend's place when I sleep over . Several time I ordered ice cream, me and my bf taste cold soapiness in the ice cream and ice cream cake . I notice it more since i work in a cold stone and the smell is familiar to me . I taste it in the cup and the cup I used look very worn out . We ordered churro, the girl gave us very long churros but we didn't eat them because they taste like soap . I don't know about the fruits or if other things are good or not since I don't normally trust people making my ice cream except for myself or my coworkers . I normally get kid size . The crew is very nice , only one girl was pretty grumpy . The service was decent just like any other cold stone . I only been to this cold stone less than ten times so I can't really say if this place is exactly good or bad but the only thing I had problem is with the soap .

I'm not such a fan of Coldstone to begin with, their ice cream never seemed very special considering the high prices they charge ($5.49 for a medium cup?!). It tastes just like any heavily processed, generic ice cream but maybe a little bit creamier. Their pistachio doesn't have nuts in it. I'm paying out the ass, the least you could do is give me my fucking nuts. Their amaretto is nice, and this location actually carries it. Their apple pie concoction is gross- they use canned apple pie filling. Their cake batter is the worst I've had from anywhere, and it's pretty boring when but into shake form. But I really dislike this location in particular. It's filled with the Queens Center Mall crowd, for one. The employees are all really young kids who obviously don't give a shit about serving you ice cream, and who can blame them, but they are super slow and usually understaffed. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes or more before getting served on a very long line. The only thing I love about this place is the 90's rock they seem to play on a regular basis. Bush, Presidents of the USA, it makes me smile :)

Why is this place so dirty and why is the service so bad ? I love colds tone ice cream! It's delicious and creamy but this place ruins it with their service.

This is the place for sweet ice cream indulgence... Perfectly made for the hot summer heat...with a lot of different condiments to choose from,...although the place is not well kept clean all the time, and some left garbages are on top of tables, the staff seemed very nice and really focuses on each customers needs regarding their orders. I just think they are under staffed, unlike the one in the city.

Service was extremely slow, the three people behind the counter must have been averaging a customer each every 3-4 minutes. I ended up getting Orange Dreamsicle and graham cracker crust topping, which admittedly tasted very good and light. The guy who was making my "Like it" had to go back to the cooler twice for more ice cream because he wasn't grabbing enough, which seemed pretty evident when he originally grabbed about 1/2 as much as the worker next to him.

I love this particular location. It is empty almost everytime I've came by. On top of that, they don't sing those songs when you TIP! (Thank God). They make some good signature's that are nice and mixed thoroughly through it. I will be back for this place.

This is not the normal "white people" ColdStone...trust me, I used to live in Washington State where chipper barely post-pubescent creamy-skinned young ladies made my ice cream with great gusto, knew a plethora of songs to keep up with the constantly jangling tip jar (and the occasional feathered sound of a folder bill touching glass)... This is NYC 99 cent store classic treatment you're getting here...no conversation, look at the register to see how much you pay, etc. To be fair, the flavor is the same, so I've been a good 10 times since I moved here 2 years ago. But may the Lord of tender mercies help you if you want something special...or a song...or anything out of the ordinary. Also, they do not open on time. Me and several people got to know each other one fine morning from 11.00-11.25am. It's inside the Queens Center PLAZA (not the mall, which is a few blocks away) which also has...TARGET!! AND RED LOBSTER!!!

Manhattan Coldstone: 30% tourists 20% locals 50% ghetto/punk kids. This Coldstone: 25% locals 75% ghetto/punk kids. The lack of tourists really makes a difference. This is offset by the increase of customers in the ghetto/punk category though. That can be equally annoying as well. It turns the Ice Cream shop into a meet-and-greet for high school kids out on group dates. Hmm. Tourists or annoying kids? I guess you can't win. The ice cream is good though.

I've worked and i've been a customer here before, and you guys dont want to eat here, not through all the stuff i've seen. I will show you the things over the scene and behind it. As customers, we are blind from things, we dont see anything behind the scenes, I fell in this category. I loved coldstone and the ice cream was to die for. I always ordered the Apple Pie a la Coldstone, it's just amazing. I hated when you have to wait about an hour for ice cream in a hot, humid line full of stinky people. The table are always sticky, the garbage is always full, and they never sing when you tip. As a customer i would rate a 3 for the long painstaking line but a reward at the end. Now, as a past employee at Coldstone, the experience changed the way i viewed things. Now, about the sign, "Made Daily" It's a lie. The ice cream are made 3 days before they are actually be served because they are rock hard and almost inedible for their first day. The fruits and candies are days to weeks old; respectively. Fruits, when you order Strawberry Blonde Signature creation, STOP yourself! All the berries and fruits are bitter because they are sometimes expired, believe i know. I ask my boss why he serves this, and he's like, just serve it, it's fine. DO NOT order fruits, even bananas. The bananas are sometimes rotten on the inside but you dont see it as a custie. Pineapples, they come in a can, so you know how it taste. The worst fruit to order is the APPLES and Cherries. They are often expired a week away, and as busy as I am, i dont notice it until i see it at the very end of the day( i felt bad=() About the ice cream, it's all lard and fat. Too add more fat into it, how about eggs and more cream? that's right, it's all fat. The worst ice cream to eat is Vanilla and Mango, try to avoid at all cost. A Vanilla milkshake is worth about 1000 calories for a 16oz cup(that's two big macs). A cup of small mango ice cream, 700 calories. Do not eat the waffles, they are about 200 calories alone Smoothie and milkshake, they are made of egg yolks, cream and a sorbet mixture. They are just disgusting because of the fruits that goes it in and the blenders that were used. The blenders are not clean at all, do not drink from them. There is an infestation problem. Mices, roaches and flies are often crawling around at night and we spot them in the morning. Well, happy eating guys, and this is brought to you by Inside Spoon =)

I've never had a problem with this Coldstone...but then, I also go in in the middle of the day, just after they've opened when no one is around. Standard Coldstone, but the service could be a bit friendlier.

Desserts You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream. A taste of heaven in the ice cream here, even though all it screams is fattening. Be careful when choosing your size of ice cream as if you choose too big, you can get alot of ice cream you can't finish. I love the many types of flavors and combinations you can get here. But my favorite is the peanut butter cup minus the chocolate fudge. As if I'm not already eating alot of calories in an ice cream, I don't need to top it off so I'll ooze. I enjoy getting my ice cream in the waffle cup, yum! If you can handle occasional lines at this place to satisfy your craving of ice cream, it is all well worth your money.

There is a time in every broke person's life where they need to splurge on something that will make them happy, even if it is a little bit extra on the wallet. Coldstone is the place to do exactly that, you get what you pay for, deliciousness. They are constantly consistent with their service and product, just like a good little chain. Every time I go in there, I am delighted to know that I'll be eating the best ice cream ever! Even though it's a bit pricer than the average ice cream, sometimes you have to treat yourself to the finer things in life, like CUSTOMIZING!! The first Coldstone I ever went to was in Arizona, I fell in love with their specialty MUD PIE and never looked back. (sub brownie for Oreo, sans whipped cream)

So, it's still around! During my last visit in 2005, while we still lived in the neighborhood, I had a bad experience. Since I didn't know about Yelp then, I decided to email the company and relate the incident. I found the original letter stored in my computer and here is what it said: "I'm an ice cream addict & a Cold Stone fan.I first experienced Cold Stone in Oahu,HI.I was impressed with everything about it.When a Cold Stone store finally opened nearby,I was elated.I knew where I'd be getting my supply of ice cream & cakes. But 1 day,my dad & family came to visit and I was eager to show them what Cold Stone was all about. After faithfully waiting in line,I was finally served. It also took awhile for my order to be fixed up but I was still patient. Then, having told my family about a treat you get when you give a tip,I handed my server a dollar. She took it,said thanks and turned her back.I was stunned for a moment. Then I asked,"No song?" And she had the nerve to ask back "You wanted a song?" Um, duh! Then,as if obligated to,they broke into a 3-sec song which was barely audible & understandable.I was really embarassed.I was disappointed that Cold Stone allowed such employees to ruin the whole idea. Now,I'd think twice before visiting that store. Also,I want my dollar back!" I wasn't expecting anything to happen really. I just wanted the company to be aware of such employees who are lazy and disrespectful. But you know what? They wrote back! They apologized and made me aware that the matter was going to be attended to. And then they sent me a coupon for free ice cream in the mail, hoping that I'd consider returning to the store. I did. But I didn't drop a tip no more. Three stars for this branch. But, 5 stars for Coldstone's Website and Customer Service. At least you know they take their customers' concerns seriously.

Is there anything bad you can really say about Coldstone Creamery? Anyhoo back to the task at hand. It's been a staple to go to this Coldstone after my family and I eat dinner nearby. I have nothing really bad to say about the ice cream because as we all know it's pretty delicious even if it is a chain store. My one complaint for this store is that when they're having a busy day, they tend to run out of ice cream quickly. Yes, you heard correctly. A ice cream store ran out of milk for milkshakes. I found it a bit odd but since there are so many other things on the menu that I like, I just ordered something else. Other than that minor problem the product here is consistently good and delicious. Yes, it's a bit pricey depending on what you're getting but sometimes it's nice to treat yourself to something deliciously bad.

Had one of their signature ice creams in a waffle cup. It really wasn't all that in terms of taste and was just overpriced. The shape of their waffle cups is unique from ones you'll see elsewhere. The portions were also large, but then again, they should be for what they're charging you. Service really wasn't quick either. You're better off opting for Hagen-Dazs or fro-yo nearby.
