I will say that I have always liked their pizza, I even worked here briefly short years ago. What they have is a good selection of specialty pizzas and their house salad is good too! What deters me from coming back as a repeat customer, is a lack of good service and higher prices. That being said if you're in the area and in the mood for a specialty slice - I would recommend bbq chicken, chicken caesar salad slice and even the garlic knots are good.

Used to work out here and this was my go-to place for lunch breaks. The owners are great guys and give you that family feeling, knowing their regular customers, and making small talk while the pizza is being prepared. The place is classy, but not over the top and their Grandma slices are great! The garlic knots are also different from most...they are like puffs of dough but it tastes great. I'm no longer working out in that area and I'm about 45 minutes away, so I miss this place!

Came here for a quick bite with a friend and just ordered one of my favorite appetizers, fried calamari. Unfortunately Ciro's calamari is not up to par with any place I have been to. The calamari was soggy and not very crispy as calamari should be. My friend had two slices of pizza, ravioli slice and chicken Caesar salad slice, which she says is very good. The service was good and the place is very clean which is why I gave it 3 stars. I may come back to try something other than the calamari or pizza, maybe a pasta entree and see how that comes out!

Too expensive!!!!!! The pizza was meh. Umbertos on Jerusalem ave is way better teasing AND cheaper. A pizza with pepperoni and two broccoli pinwheels was $27. Really!? I will never go to this place again. If you are going to charge premium prices you better make sure your pizza kicks and it does not at this place!

Every town on Long Island used to have its own version of Ciro's. Good, honest Italian food. Red sauce, spaghetti, chicken parm and shrimp scampi. Thin crust Neopolitan or Sicilian pizza never misses the mark. Try the stuffed crust pizza for a real treat. This is my wife's favourite restaurant bar none. She has ordered the Penne Fiorentina almost every time we go and says it is the best she has ever had. The shrimp dishes are delicious, the veal is tender and the chicken parm tastes homemade. The eggplant is top shelf too. Have a glass of wine and enjoy the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Ciao!

Mike the owner greeted us as we came in with a warm smile and inviting us to come sit and enjoy the food. The new decor was calming with picturesque frescoes of Italy. The tables were spotless with clean linen napkins and the bread basket came out hot and streaming paired with excellent fresh virgin olive oil for dipping. Yummy way to begin an absolutely fabulous Italian dinner. Our waiter Kenny was extremely accommodating. My boyfriend Steve did not see mussels fra diavolo on the menu and Kenny our waiter said it was no problem and put in the order for his entrée. Everything was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend Ciro's to anyone who enjoys excellent Italian food. It was like having a meal down at Arthur Ave. in the Bronx. You can't get any more authentic than that !

We ordered a cheese pizza and cheese calzone and had it delivered. After paying $30.00 we were Dissapointed !!! Ordering-The girl that took the order was cold and had a I don't care attitude. The pizza---The crust was burnt on the bottom and not good. The calzone was good but the mozzarella cheese they used was poor quality could be better. We will never order again!!!

I have had a few dishes from here, including the grilled chicken and vegetables and a baked ziti. I also enjoyed a few slices, including the chicken marsala slice. Everything was pretty good, and I plan on going back again. Notes: The dining room has a very nice ambiance. I believe they deliver Beer selection is small

I'm just not really into Ciro's anymore. They're trying to be an Italian restaurant now and they are leaving the little pizzeria roots. It's kind of an awkward feeling to go in there for a slice now. I mean I can't even get slices anymore because I went vegan, but I went in with my friends and it seemed like the dining room is for people who are sitting and paying even though that isn't the case because you can get stuff at the counter and bring it to a seat. I'm sure the pizza quality hasn't changed, but I couldn't really be the judge of that anymore. I just know I'm not the biggest fan of the vibe in there anymore. Also, the prices keep creeping up higher and higher.

The food is tasty. A good variety: pasta, heroes, pizza, soup. The prices are reasonable. There is no waiter service. Good for a causal meal, but not for romantic diner.

A great local pizzeria/restaurant. They have a great variety of pizza slices to choose from and will make just about anything you can think of. The Grandma pie is delicious. Service is pleasant and quick.

I really wanted to like it because it is so close to me but I was pretty disappointed. The young girl who answered the phone asked for my phone number three times and I don't mean that she needed me to repeat it, I mean three separate times she asked for it. Then she asked me repeatedly to spell my street name which would be unusual if it were say, long, or odd...but my street name is three letters long. This apparently confused her greatly because she had to ask a fellow employee about it as well before continuing with my order. Ordered 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 extra cheese...21 bucks. What I got was 1/2 pep, no extra cheese and 2 inch smaller pie than your average pizzeria. How disappointing. It's not even worth calling to complain about lest I confuse the staff any further and get asked to spell cheese. The only upside is that the sauce is tasty. Tasty sauce is worth two stars to me. Bummer

The ravioli pizza is fantastic but the regular slice was just ok. Everyone else seemed very happy with the pizza (veggie, Capri, scicilian, broccoli). Overall a good experience

This isn't a bad spot for a slice. It's kind of your basic Pizzeria except they have a wide variety of specialty slices. A lot of people go with the chicken slices (buffalo or chicken caesar), but I personally like to stick with the regular slices or the chicken roll. Both are excellent, b/c they make a really good sauce. In my opinion, it's not a great sit down restaurant (at all). It tries hard to be an authentic Italian hang out, but its decor is almost as cheesy as it's calzones ( I'm sorry that was an awful joke). They have posters of the classic Mafia movies all around the back wall, but then they have faded Newsday clippings from NY basbeball teams. Call me crazy but Pedro Martinez doesn't really fit in with the Italian image. I don't know if it's worth the price, but if your in the area and hungry- give it a whirl.

As good as it gets for pizza, my go to spot in east meadow. I do not get the negative reviews at all. I don't go there for dishes so i can't speak for those but their pizza stacks up with the best on any given day. Little pricey but worth it.

For what started out as a small pizza business, the two partners turned it into a surprisingly good restaurant with great food and very generous portions.

Ciro's does have good pizza; yet, what they lack is consistently good service. I've been to the pizzeria on several different occasions--it's a moderate experience, but I found the service to be terrible the last time I went. Granted, I went with a friend an hour before closing for some quick take-out, but it didn't justify the staff members at the counter being too careless and/or disrespectful. I'm not asking for saccharine service, but a customer should not have to: 1. Stretch across the counter in an extreme yoga move in order to get back her credit card after she has paid (it should be handed back or at least placed at a considerate distance in front of her; 2. Flag down yet another employee in order to receive her payment receipt. After being carelessly serviced at the front counter, the staff member had simply walked away without even handing me my receipt or my credit card that was carelessly tossed onto the counter; the other employees seemed just as hurried and careless. Furthermore, the pizzeria seems to be run entirely by male staff (which isn't necessarily a problem), but on more than one occasion, I have felt uncomfortable because they would sneak glances at women, mutter something to each other in Spanish or Italian, and then laugh like the overzealous French chef in The Little Mermaid. Sure, they could have been goofing around harmlessly, but it gives off a bad vibe to customers. Other friends who are familiar with the establishment have mentioned that the employees seem to differentiate their treatment of customers based on whether they are dining in the restaurant or simply grabbing food to go, which would explain my experience but not their rationale. I think I'll stick with Napolini's on Oak Street, my favorite place for pizza in the neighborhood, where they have better customer service and efficiency even in rush hour, AND better (grandma) pizza!

Went towards closing of the shop to pick up an order of garlic knots and was completely disgusted by the lack of proper hygiene. The person helping a customer was wiping down the counters with glass cleaner while there are at least 6 guys standing around. After the knots were done being heated in the oven he didn't bother to wash his hands before opening the bag to put the knots in with the same hand he had soaked his hand in with windex. It was my first time and I will not be returning. I am appalled. I didn't ask for garlic knots coated with windex. This is how people get sick....Gross. stay away near closing.

I have been living in East Meadow since early 2009 and upon first getting settled, naturally I looked for good pizza nearby. My husband and I order pizza at least once a week, sometimes twice when I'm lazy ;). At first, I loved Ciro's. The cheese was ooey gooey yummy and the sauce was just right in flavor and amount on the pie. Over the last year or so, the consistency of any dish has taken a nosedive. The pizza will either be a pile of dough or a charred mess, the cheese is now a lesser quality and depending on who's working, the taste of the sauce can be completely different from one week to the next. Also the cold anitpasto used to be one of my faves because of the giardiniera but I'd say for the past six months, they have not put any in the salad. Needless to say, we're now back on the hunt for a good pizza place in EM. Sorry Ciro's but we will not be back.

This place is amazing. My family frequently goes there for dinner, you walk in and you know at least one other customer and the staff knows your order. Great service, both take out and eat in. One of my favorite pizza places.

This place used to be good! But, last time I went there (summer 2006) they did something to the cheese, I dont know what they did, but it's awful! I'll get garlic knots from there though because those are always amazing!

Today my sister and a friend had had a bad experience today and it moved me enough to update my review- They had placed an order for delivery and it came as the wrong order. When she called to ask them to fix the order, they had told her that they were too busy to accommodate and hung up on them. They drove to the restaurant and after an argument with one of the owners, got a refund, gave back the incorrect food and left without eating anything. This may or may not be a one-time incident, but it certainly did happen.
