The pizza is fantastic here and the service is polite and pleasant. I recommend the pepperoni or regular cheese pizza. There are other delicious items too.

Gigi's is my go-to place for a slice in the neighborhood. Not the best pizza I've ever had, usually a little over cooked, but definitely the best for miles around.

The Heroes here are fantastic. Order the grilled chicken and you won't be disappointed.

Best pizza in area guys behind the counter and in kitchen are the best anything I ordered there has been great

My favorite pizza in the area. Staff is friendly. You'd think that since it is near an old navy and stop n shop, it must suck. Don't be fooled and pick up a slice of the buffalo chicken. Yum.

  • Guan-Tai C.

I like to grab a slice here whenever I shop at Old Navy or the supermarket during lunch. The pizza isn't spectacular but its far from bad. I've tried their chicken rolls and they were disappointing. (FYI: If a pizzeria can make a good chicken roll, I will be their customer for life).

Buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch, grandma, sicilian, you name it...the pizza is top notch. Much better than the overrated Ciro's & Umberto's in the area. Did I mention beef patties!!

This place is fantastic! Buffalo and Spinach Alfredo slices are the best I've ever had. Always a friendly environment! Highly recommend it.

Ordered delivery, took about an hour to arrive. Ordered a pizza and two orders of garlic knots. The garlic knots were greasy glorified bread, and the pizza was soggy and flavorless with rampant tepid spots. Why the second star? They sent over a 2 liter of Coke to make up for the wait and the delivery guy apologized as well. And that Coke was indisputably the best part of the meal

I first went there 5 years ago when I moved. It has been my #1 choice for pizza since then. The food is great and the workers are friendly. If you in the area I recommend you stop in for a slice.... or 2.

This pizzeria hands down used to be my favorite pizzeria. My dad used to own a pizza shop and was the best I've ever had and Gigi's was just as good. Now they just suck. From the food to the damn service. Straight up assholes. They lost their touch. Multiple times I've asked if they have a new owner or cook because multiple times I try to give them another chance and its a constant let down. I've tried a few things from the menu, not just pizza. Just terrible Gigi's get it together.

I was in the NHP area and love pizza. I've enjoyed Umberto's and Gino's in the past but I wanted to try others in the area so I checked out my trusty Yelp app. After reading the mostly complimentary reviews here I decided to order a Sicilian pie. All I can say is Yelp let me down big this time! I can only speak to the flavor of the Sicilian pie so if you like your pizza sauce sickeningly sweet, by all means check it out, it's waiting for you here. I threw the rest of the pie in the garbage once I arrived home.

Incredibly rude staff. The pizza is so so..but not really worth having to deal with the awful ones behind the counter.

I am fairly new to the area from Brooklyn and i have been searching for my 'go to pizza/food' place. I recently passed by Gigi's while doing some routine food shopping and the smell was captivating as i passed by. I walked in and asked for a take out menu. I ordered 3 times in one week!!! My first order was a plain cheese pizza. I figured if that was awful, i would just stop right there. The pizza was great!!! The sauce was flavorful but not too sweet and not spicy. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It was so good that i was hoping the leftovers would reheat well. I always reheat pizza in the oven and NEVER EVER would i reheat pizza in the microwave but i was feeling a little lazy that i decided to try it. It was fabulous from the microwave!! The flavor from the night before may have even tasted better!!! Next time, i won't be so lazy and try it in the oven. I am sure it will be fabulous. Second time i ordered from here, i tried a pizza with mushrooms and meatballs. Again, i was very pleased with all of the flavors!!! The mushrooms were sliced nice and thin and the meatballs were small cubes of beef and sausage (at least i believe i was tasting sausage). Excellent. Every slice was covered in both toppings and it was delicious!! Third time, i decided to try some food. My boyfriend ordered a meatball parm hero which was very tasty. He has a large appetite and figured we would have leftovers for the next day. So, he also tried the shrimp scampi which came with a pasta. He had capellini with garlic and oil. The shrimp were nice and plump and the sauce was good too. I ordered a ceasar salad which was very good. The lettuce was fresh and crispy and the dressing was excellent. I also ordered chicken parm with penne and i requested meat sauce on my pasta which was a few cents extra. The chicken was very good and the sauce and cheese blended very nicely with the chicken. The pasta with meatsauce was good. The portion was big and the chunks of meat in the sauce were flavorful. When reheated, their sauce was even better!!! I am sold. i am glad i found a place that will satisfy my pizza cravings and help me out with dinner as i get home late so its hard to always prepare meals and such. Definitely give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

This used to be my go to place for a few slices after work in 2010-11. Idk if the family sold the business or what but the pizza is straight garbage now. Don't waste your time just go to King Umberto's for slices. It's not even Italian's making the pizza anymore it's day laborer they pick up from Home Depot smh.

Absolutely loved the pizza it had plenty of cheese, not to much sauce, and a great portion of pepperoni.it wasn't too greasy like most They also had fried Oreo which I think was delicious. Employees had amazing customer service and did their work like experts. I had a great experience and would recommend this spot to everyone,

The bake clams... Out of this world! They are huge, and so juicy! I definitely recommend to order bake clams. Chicken piccata is the best dish I had from Gigi's.

From 1955-1985 my folks lived near White Plains. I worked and lived in NYC and Brklyn Hts from 1974- 1982 and grew to love Angelo's in Little Italy and pizza at Boro Hall at the Queen Pizzeria. Living now in Minneapolis (home of the WORST Italian food), I have learned to be a very good Italian cook. I LOVE Italian well seasoned food above all else!! Yesterday after dropping off my daughter and really liking the small older extremely interesting shops in New Hyde Park, I stopped and researched on Yelp reviews of local pizza shops. Gigi's jumped out immediately after the many 4 star reviews and especially the most recent one from a fellow that talked about coming to Gigi's for many years. ( Gigi's has been in business for 30 years!) The staff IS fine. Warm. Genuine and very very accommodating. They had these lovely beautifully antique appearing menu boards with old world colors and a very extensive menu for such a cozy place. They have a nice medium sized 1950's styled back dining room with larger tables. The restaurant was constantly busy with long long loyal patrons all laughing joking with the 3 staff. It felt like family inside. I asked for a complex huge Sicilian style deep dish with: sausage bacon extra sauce fresh garlic black olives and broccoli rabe (!) and lots of fresh onions on top (see photo). WHAT a beauty it was. It rose at lease 3 inches. My daughter had a slice of chicken caeser and her friend of buffalo chicken . Both loved and inhaled their slices. (Photo) My pizza came out medium baked (fine crispy edge and base to a WONDEROUS baked dough and perhaps the FINEST tasting feast I have ever had nationwide. The melding of just enough sauce fresh garlic with the excellent quality fresh ingredients (ESP the broccoli) was heaven. Just heaven! The pizza was huge-- enough to feed 8 people generously! I ate one piece, took the rest home. I will indeed be back as often as I can before returning to minneapolis where I shall dream of fresh pizza....

Granted this is my first yelp write up...but my order was so bad I had to make an account to write how terrible this food was tonight. I ordered shrimp scampi over linguini w garlic bread and tortolini en brodo soup. Now when spending close to 40 bucks I hope to actually enjoy my food. The 18 dollar plate of shrimp came with 4 little shrimp...soaked in a butter and lemon thick sauce that had crushed garlic that wasn't even sautéed. Maybe they should look up to see what a scampi sauce is. The linguini was covered in a red sauce...topped with what looks like vodka sauce...not shrimp scampi over linguini at all. And. The delivery guy calls me when he gets here as requested bc my doorbell doesn't work and then waits in his car like I am going to go to the car and get the food from him. Once I turn my outside likes on he gets out of car but waits on sidewalk until I insist he comes to the door. I give this restaurant the worst review ever. I am a chef and take pride in every oder I send out to my customers. If I were the owner I would be ashamed of my employees

They are so horribly rude. Just ordered a pie from them. They have been to my department many times and every time we order they have an attitude about delivering to us. Granted we are in a cellar but it's not ok to ask your customers to walk to the entrance of the hospital to pick up our food.

  • Amani G.

I love their pizza and the white slice we always get food delivered and we live off Jericho and it takes 45 min to get the food every time. The food is great the pasta not so much I ordered penne bolognese once and they sent it in marinara sauce it was not so great so I recommend sticking to the pizza and eating in unless you like long wait times for delivery.

Solid buffalo chicken pizza-- Definitely worth a try!! It's probably one of the best I've ever had!!

Great pizza overall. I love Umbertos and Mama T's, but I wanted to try the other spots around here. It didn't let me down.

Pizza is good, managers are nice but the pizza boys who make the food are shockingly rude and nasty. They have contempt for the customers and seem to forget who is paying the bills...

This is my favorite pizzeria! Close to my house and make the best pizza. They have the best buffalo slice EVER!!!!!! Also a big fan of the chicken cesar salad slice. They make just about every type of pizza you can think of. Penne alla vodka pizza?? Nothing like carbs with some more carbs. But it did look delicious! The spinach wheel is very good made with spinach, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese in a phyllo dough.

No complaints on the food. The fried oreos where awesome and totally affordable! the regular slice i got was so delicious and the vegi slice was awesome too! the guy at the counter was really nice and told us we could pay at the end becuase we kept trying new things. The only complaints i have is that the dining part isnt the nicest especially during the night time. I was a little paranoid sitting there but thats the breaks of good pizza. there prices were pretty affordable and service was quick and responsive. Totally going back again maybe will take out next time!

Really baffled as to why such friendly folks insist on making their slices that difficult to eat. Their respectable regular with sweet tomato sauce was hard to fold, borderline brittle at the first crease attempt. Their long sicilian was really past its prime texturally and weak flavor-wise overall. Atmosphere is neighborhood spot with 'everybody dance now' blaring over the speakers @ 4:45pm during a lull as I forked over my $5.25 for pizza I wouldn't return to unless they were around the corner. Apparently should've gone with a hero instead.

I live right down the block from this gem and have been coming here for their amazing pizza/knots/rolls since I was a little kid. The quality of the service and food are never shy of amazing and the staff treats their customers like family

Great pizza! Great knots! Great prices! Deep fried oreo's and nutella and banana slices! Friendliest workers! Cannot find another place like this on the island!

In an area where pizzerias can be found on every other block, Gigi's doesn't stand out. It's clean & friendly but it's average. You're not going to be blown away by their pizza but you certainly won't be displeased. I would suggest going to mama Theresa's or umbertos instead. My family has also ordered their family style entrees. Each order comes with a salad. Unfortunately the last time, they messed up our order & we didn't realize until we got home. Regardless the mistaken entree still tasted fine but they gave us 2 orders of veal & chicken parmigiana which made our dinner ridiculously redundant. Also, they say each family style order is for 3 people -- it's more like 4-6 people. If youre in the shopping center & hungry it's a decent choice, but I wouldn't ever purposely drive over for some food.

Incredibly delicious Taco Pizza. I was upset that the delivery took much longer than it should have and promised myself I'd never order here again, until I actually tried the Taco Pizza. I must have it again.

Lots of seating and you can watch ESPN on big LCD tv's while you eat here. But, unfortunately, the pizza is nothing special.

If 3.5 stars were possible that's what I would give Gigi's Pizzeria, but it's not so I gave it 4 because it's better than average. I've never actually been to the location, only ordered it for delivery so I guess my review is a little bit skewed because pizza places are always better when the food is eaten at the spot. The pizza is definitely not the BEST, but some of the BEST in the area. I would say it beats out any other place down that section of Hillside Ave. for a quality pizza delivery spot. The toppings are always great, the cheese is plentiful, and the sauce is tasty; the crust of course has a nice crispiness to it. The sandwiches are good, nothing to write home about, but tasty nonetheless. Like I said, wouldn't go out of my way for it if you're from out of town, but if you're a local this is the spot to order from.

Estimated delivery time was 45-60 minutes. It has been well over an hour and 40 minutes and two nice phone calls FROM US ended with "he will be there soon" and the third call we were told "too bad you have to wait". Oy, these online reviews I read were false and probably written by the people who own or work there. The ONE star is only because it is required. This is the worst service! Don't lie on the ordering site and then be unfriendly about the bad service you are giving your customers. There are nicer ways to tell your customers that there are a ton of deliveries then hanging up on them! The food was COLD & not worth it!! Disgusting!!

NHP residents declare Umberto's the best for Grandma pizza...and I figured they were right. After living here for 1 1/2 years, I finally tried Gigi's - their Grandma blows Umberto's away! DELICIOUS!!!! Oh, and my husband is in love with their Buffalo Chicken pizza too.

Tried delivery through Grubhub. Delivery was 45 minutes later than the hour long grace period. The food was mediocre, but when you wait an hour and forty five minutes to eat. I called and they acted as though they had no idea of what I was talking about and then told me it would be another 5-10 minutes. It took an additional 20. I just used Grubhub for lunch with different restaurant and that was phenomenal. I may try them again out of convenience and give them another chance.

I come here often. Its not my first pick for pizza, but my first pick is about a 15 minute drive away and unfortunately I'm not always up for the drive. Gigi's however, is in my neck of the woods, and is what I order from regularly. Their salad slices are pretty good. I've had better buffalo chicken slices (but still taste good). The chicken rolls aren't good. But if you want to taste what they're all about, order a pie, and you'll get one made fresh for you--good eats. The slices they leave out are okay, but their fresh pies are very good. I've also had an affair catered by them, and they were great; they even included free dessert without me asking. They're good people, and honest.
