I come here often, order a glass of coppola wine and think about how my wife left me for my regional manager. The Pasta is ok.....

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but a great time was had at Olive Garden this evening. It wasn't busy so we were able to be seated right away. The waitress was incredibly friendly and gave great advice on wine/food pairings. I ordered the Tour of Italy, which easily serves 2 people so tomorrow's lunch will be EXCELLENT. I would definitely visit this location agsin

I seem to always enjoy Olive Garden, no matter where the location. It's not my premier choice of Italian but it's an alternative that is welcomed. Wasn't going to expect anything new here...and I didn't see anything new here. Went here with Kristin a while back just for the heck of it, we just decided on Olive Garden. The décor was more or the less the same as all other Olive Garden's, not spotless but not filthy. We got the booth seating which we were alright with, the tables and chairs looked a bit stiff. The usual salad and breadsticks were the usual salad and breadsticks. I'm not much for the salad, it's nice but it's a lot just for a starter! I didn't think salad would fill me up...but it did, same with the breadsticks. Those breadsticks are like a double-edged sword, delicious and tasty but also impossible to stop eating. Even when we were finished they came back with even more breadsticks!!...and salad! Managing to get control, I just placed my order for the classic Chicken Parm and waited for the main entrée to be delivered. Wait time wasn't that long, even for a lunch crowd . Kristin ordered a pasta dish for which I can't remember but the food arrived on hot plates with a smile so I didn't complain. The taste met my expectations, which were already average to begin with. It had good flavor and was coated well with sauce but the chicken was a bit hard around the sides but it was nothing I couldn't handle. I finished in a matter of ten minutes, just as expected for me. It wasn't all to expensive for our meals but it was worth the price paid as we both enjoyed our dishes. Service was kind, quick and efficient so not really any complaints there. My only problem is that with so many other family-run Italian places around Rochester, Olive Garden falls near the bottom of the list. I hope this restaurant or any of the other Olive Garden's in general, start to innovate a bit more in their menus and venues to deliver a more memorable experience, instead of being just a restaurant to bring your grandparents when you don't feel like cooking.

Sad, sad food. How did this chain get so successful serving food like this? My lovely wife and I tried to go healthy. I got tilapia with shrimp, baked and with some kind of sauce. The fish and shrimp were dry and overcooked, the sauce was like snot. Flavorless snot. The plate made me sad, like maybe the chef needs grief counseling. The steamed broccoli was waaaaay over done, the consistency of a dish sponge. My wife got whole wheat pasta with marinara and primavera veggies. No flavor whatsoever. I mean none. My daughter got the kid's shells and marinara, and that had a flavor I recognized: the metallic tang of aluminum you usually find in canned sauces. The minestrone was like eating a bowl of salt. I saw vegetables and broth, but my tongue registered no flavor other than salt. Lots of it. My wife's salad was puckeringly acidic, like most commercially-produced salad dressing. The service was good, at least, that's why two stars instead of one. He was quick, kind, and attentive. Hope he gets a gig at a better restaurant. The prices they charge are ridiculous. They're pricing their food as if it's fresh, house-made Italian, rather than the mass-produced cafeteria fare it clearly is. For the same money (or maybe even less) you could go to any number of other Italian places in town and get far better food.

Good Service and my wife loved the food. Breadsticks were very slow to come out.

The fact that someone actually took the time to reach out to me from this business was enough to make me want to go back and give it another shot. That speaks volumes to me, that time was taken to try and remedy a situation or at least look further into it. I'm glad I went back though, as this experience was way better than the last. Like I said, people do have off days and I'm sure the same goes for entire businesses. The hostess was personable and actually held a conversation with us while walking us to our table. Same goes for the waitress, who actually had a personality. Much better than than previous. She came over not one, but two times to check up on us and was super prompt in getting our card back to us after we paid. I got the lemon chicken thing thing time and it was actually really good. especially from something at a chain place. My boyfriend, ever the adventurer got the fettucini alfredo yet again, and had no complaints. Food was hot, tasty, and came out quick this time. Can't really complain. I was a little surprised that the service was this much better on a busier night than it was the last time we came and it was pretty slow. Usually it's the other way around.

Well they are consistent. My grandma is lured by never ending salad and breadsticks. We had a sizable party of about 14. The servers were very accommodating and friendly. I would throw a challenge flag at being charged (multiple dollars) for extra sauce/side of sauce on a lightly sauced item. Pasta likes sauce, it's pretty much the point. Heck I would rather have a bowl of sauce more than a bowl of pasta. I wavered with 2 and 3 stars, I thought 3 cause it is a chain and you get what you expect, but then I thought of all the Italian chains there are others that would get a higher rank than the O.G.

I am a regular custom to this restaurant, I always enjoy their great food and fresh veggie. However, my recent experience was NOT satisfied. The waitress(I'm not gonna mention her name)had me waited and waited, and refused to refill my salad, which said unlimited salad on the menu. I recommend Cindy, she is always nice and helpful every time I went there.

Everyone knows I love Olive Garden, I have reviewed every single one I have been to even though they are practically all the same. I came here with a group of friends from work. We made a reservation but we didn't need one as the place wasn't very packed. Our waitress was friendly enough but she tended to disappear for a little while and it took her way too long to do anything. The soup and breadsticks were good as always. I got the smoked mozzarella chicken and it was okay. I know that the meal is good but it isn't that great this visit. You could tell that it had been sitting out. It wasn't very hot and the cheese on top started to harden and dry out. I got the feeling our absent waitress left our meals sitting for too long or the chef made mine way too early. I feel the restaurant has gotten a little expensive but I always eat massive amounts of soup and breadsticks to get my money worth. I will still dine at Olive Garden but I prefer the Victor location and I would generally pick that one.

I had given up on Olive Garden because of poor past visits years back. I've been back twice in the last months...much improved!! I had the Northern Tour of Italy both times and wish they would keep it on the menu. The atmosphere is relaxing; lights dim but not too dark. The wife and I enjoyed ourselves and will go back again.

I love Italian food but unfortunately Olive Garden could not meet what I expect. even if the server was so helpful, the menu was so confusing so it took a long time to choose our dish. and personally, i think it is a bit more expensive than other Italian restaurants!!!

Customer service was terrible .waitress was confused.we asked for a booster seat and when we told them that two people backed out they kept being confuse when we called .when we order breadsticks the third time one waitress was saying why we need more marinara sauce and being very racist, and they were thinking we're fobs when we aren't. when it was time to pay the waitress expected a $20 tip.Food was great but customer service was poor.

To start, my wife and I were out and about and found ourselves hungry around 1:30 today. So, I suggested Chipotle ( we were in Henrietta) or Johns Tex mex on our way home. She said she had a gift card for Olive Garden so I agreed to go there. Bad choice......seated immediately .....10 min for a server....10 more min for drinks (water and iced tea) that were NOT delivered by the server ....... 10 more min for server to stop by for our order. Placed order then 10 more min for salad and bread sticks. Our order arrived in a timely manner but once again not by our server....... No one stopped by to make sure our meal was satisfactory or even to refresh our drinks! I had to get up and search her down so we could leave.... No apologies, didn't seem to really care, talked to manager who told us she a large party to serve....WTF.....Sorry. We'll our mistake and will guarantee that we will be frequenting our local owners and not the chains!

3of us went to OG for lunch. Service was great, seated promptly and server came rlght over. She helped one of choose well to avoid overpaying for items should wanted. The leftovers were packed up without any problem and the server stuck in extra breadsticks. Nice! The only problem was the SMELL of the restaurant! I noticed it as soon as I walked in and commented to my friends. One said maybe it's parmesan cheese. The only way I can describe the smell is to say maybe a stale sponge or a damp towel It wasn't mildew smell it was a moldy smell.... throughout the entire restaurant. Perhaps they were having ventilation problems with their air conditioning. If I was not with my friends I would have walked out. I would not have eaten there that bad.

Went for a late dinner, so wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. Great server - very enthusiastic and seemed to really like his job, or he was at least good at pretending he was to provide good customer service. Food was good - got carbonara pasta, which comes with unlimited salad. I'm definitely looking forward to going back.

My husband found a piece of battered and fried PLASTIC in his calamari. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Not to mention the horrible service ( the place was empty and it took 45 min to get our food).

    * This review is dedicated to my ambiguous Yelp friend, NB. I try not to be overly philosophical when writing reviews, but after my recent visit to the Olive Garden, I came up with a mantra that I will repeat to myself whenever someone forces me to go to a chain restaurant against my will: "A true gastronome must periodically eat a Big Mac, so he can truly appreciate the Wagyu burger that sits before him." I'm pretty sure I'm the next Confucius. As a seasoned diner / Yelper, I have grown to despise chain restaurants. I am angry and disappointed that my parents have spent, and continue to spend, literally thousands of dollars supporting the Wendy's, Red Lobsters, and Olive Gardens of the world, and I take every chance I get to expose them to local dining options. Nevertheless, I'm never one to pass up a free meal, so last night I let my parents decide where we would go for dinner. So we ended up at the Olive Garden. I should note that this review is based on my dining experience on this one particular occasion, and does not take into consideration the multi-billion dollar corporation that owns the Olive Garden (Darden Restaurants) or my preexisting disdain for chain restaurants. I was going to try my best to write an objective, food / service based review, so I arrived with the mindset that, if I received good food with great service, I would give the Olive Garden up to three stars. Didn't happen. The service was lackluster at best. Our waitress didn't even fake a smile or ask, "How are you doing today?" when we arrived, which I feel is standard practice in most chain restaurants. Every time she came to the table, it felt forced and awkward. It was kind of like hiring a stripper who cries the whole time. I ordered an overpriced glass of moscato after James M. and A.B. introduced me to this glorious, chuggable summer wine a couple of nights ago. In the back of my mind, I knew this experience would be much more tolerable if I was slightly inebriated. Prior to our arrival, my parents had ordered an appetizer sampler, which was very nice of them; however, the "sampler" consisted of three deep fried items - Americanized calamari strips (I know the tentacles are scary, but really, are calamari rings still too "ethnic" for you guys?), fried mozzarella triangles (how, exactly, do you cut mozzarella into a triangle?), and fried ravioli (I love fat as much as the next guy, but seriously, do we really need to FRY refined carbs stuffed with processed cheese?). And they all tasted the same. I silently questioned why they didn't just serve everything on a fried, edible plate (Chi-Chi's style) to round out this monstrosity. The sodium content was through the roof and the "frozen-to-fryer" taste was apparent in every bite. I'm fine with homemade things being frozen and thawed properly prior to service (see iTastea), but I have a real problem with factory-produced food items being flash fried, frozen, and then re-fried to order. Gag! My entree was slightly better, but still in the two-star range. Taking into consideration the amount of cardio that would be required to work off the calories contained in some of the richer, but equally regrettable menu items, I opted for the Capellini de Mare, fully aware that the seafood would be coming straight out of the freezer. I've cooked with frozen fish in the past, and the results were satisfactory (to be honest, none of the shrimp in Rochester hasn't been frozen); I just hoped the clams and mussels would be fresh. Wishful thinking. The accompanying marinara was overly salted and too garlicky (like, raw garlic), and the capellini was overcooked. Nothing about the dish was really good, except the fresh basil on top, which was not brown, surprisingly. Quite frankly, I made Calamari Fra Diavolo in my college dorm room eight years ago that was superior to this $17 entree, and mine lasted several meals and contained 5 pounds of high quality calamari (thought I won't endorse processing 5 pounds of squid in your dorm room - your friends won't like you anymore). For dessert, my girlfriend and I split the Berries and Zabaione. The berries were fresh enough, despite being flavorless and probably imported from South America. The sorbet was overly sweet and I wasn't even sure it was made with real fruit. The zabaione was fine, but I'm sure it was made with some kind of mix. Jello Instant Pudding is also fine. I guess what disgusted me most about this experience was the fact that it took us ten minutes to find a parking spot, meaning this place was absolutely packed on a Tuesday night. It saddened me to think that many small, mom-and-pop Italian restaurants across the country, with homemade sauces passed down for generations and fresh pasta, have probably been forced out of business because of this behemoth, with its calamari strips and frozen mussels. I'll be back in another five years to make sure it's still terrible.

My girlfriend and I always go to this Olive Garden (sometimes twice a week, kind of sad) but we love it. Sometimes the service can be a little shoddy at times, but overall it is great. 4 out of 5 times we go there it is delicious and the service is great. If you get unlucky, the breadstick oven may be broken or the salad plates may be warm, but I can get over that. All in all, we love Olive Garden, even though it can be a little pricey at times and the deals they have aren't very good deals. Other than that, we always have a great experience going there.

Absolutely love this restaurant . Been here numerous times and have never had a bad meal! Breadsticks and salad are just the beginning of the fun, the variety of dishes make your mouth water just reading the menu! Then comes desert.... Omg!

Every time I go to this Olive Garden the food is great. The bread is hot and the salad is fresh. I also get the Zuppa Tuscana soup it's amazing. The only negative I can say is the service is a little slow at times. Not that the staff is not friendly and working because they all seem to be hustling. Just usually have to wait for refills on the breadsticks and drinks. I am definitely a fan.
