Great asset to the area. Whether sitting at the bar for a cocktail, dinner or lunch, or the deli out back, everything is authentic Italian and very good. Casual, reasonably priced you won't miss here.

We were staying at the Roxbury, and there weren't much options for late night delivery so we resorted to ordering from Vasta's. We ordered: 1) Buffalo Wings, 2) Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo w/ Spaghetti, 3) Pizza Pie (Ricotta, Mozarella, etc). Out of those 3 items, the most tastiest was the buffalo wings. The chicken & broccoli alfredo w/ spaghetti was the worst. The pizza was so-so (tasted better the next day when microwaved). Eating was a bit difficult because they did not provide any utensils (no fork or spoon) or napkins. Although the food wasn't the best, we were content to eat as we were famished from the 3 hour drive. If you have no choice, I would recommend Vasta's. But if there was an option to eat anywhere, I would choose another eatery.

Came here last night for wings and stuffed pizza after a day in the Catskills. I hadn't been here in a few years, but I was pleased that the wings are still great. We ordered them hot and extra saucy. The stuffed pizza was not as good as the wings, but not terrible. We ordered it with sausage and that component didn't taste great. I'd recommend trying a different topping.

I dropped by here twice over a weeks stay. The service was friendly and atmosphere pleasant. I'm from nyc so pretty hard to impress me with the pizza but I would say it's better than average for the locale. Went back for a burger and enjoyed it with a side of fries. Nice size burger and fries. Hit the spot and the unsweetened ice tea was nice and fresh.

I just spent the weekend in my hometown (Roxbury, NY) and my family and I were so pumped to hear that Vasta's would deliver to Roxbury!!! We ordered 3 pizzas and 4 orders of wings - all of which were radical. The pizza was so good, I brought leftovers back to Brooklyn (the mecca of amazing pizza) to share with my husband so he could believe too. Yay for delivery to Roxbury!!!!!

Beware the $8 delivery fee if you're staying at the Roxbury. Totally not worth it for pizza that is below sbarro calibre.

Good place for Italian food and...bowling. Yeah, they have bowling lanes at Vasta's. This is as good as it gets for Stamford. Meatballs and bowling balls!!!

they may have been good once before but no more. me and my family used to get from them very often but since my short experience working there i discovered their true colors. the owner takes the tips from the waiters/waitresses for himself, he runs the place like everyone who works there is a slave, kitchen is disgusting and very cramped. after seeing the owner one day pick up a garlic knot off the floor and put it back on the tray and served it i refuse to eat at such an uncouth restaurant. and the prices are outrageous for a poor town. i cannot see spending $18 on a 3 topping calzone that is barely enough to feed 1 person. the Quickway in Hobart is far better.

Belly buster pizza and cheese calzones are enormous!!!! It's a whole in the wall but for up there it's pretty darn good.

Great Italian food for the Catskills ! I have only eaten here about 4-5 time, and will certainly be back. Nice home-style red sauce pasta dishes, and decent size portions. The eggplant parm dinner is what I ordered most of the time. Never tried the pizza. Had a small but tasty steak here once too. I always admire the quality of the interior construction of this place, with its exposed beams and wood planks. The servers have always been polite and professional, and the one time I met the owner he was very friendly. I never sat at the bar, but there always seemed to be a few people there that would give you a friendly wave. Everything has been just right here, from the food to the service, to the whole atmosphere ......a favorite of my kids
