This place was very nice! Drinks were good and the food was great. Wasn't over priced. The only complaint that I have is the waitress we had. She was not friendly, it was our first time coming there so we didn't really know what to expect and she really wasn't helpful at all.

Awesome place to hang out. It is either the best ambience in Watertown or it is tied for the best. Pomegranate martini is the one to get!

The best cozy place around, 3 different rooms with one with a live blues band... Ce petit bar très chaleureux a 3 differente pieces donc une avec orchestre blues

When this place is quieter, it is great. Food is great for a bar and the service is nice. I've been here three or for times and every person has been completely nice, but it got too packed on a friday night for my taste. Great place for some lunchtime drinks, great for some dinnertime drinks, probably great if you're looking for a crazy loaded packed place to meet strangers, but definitely not for me during prime hours.

The place is beautiful -- I grew up in Watertown and moved away and am so pleased they've finally built a beautiful bar with comfortable seats and a working fireplace. As the other reviews say, the GIs don't go here which is nice as we started the night at Tilted Kilt where my friend and I felt like dog meat. However. The bartender. I'm not convinced that she knows how to mix a cocktail. When I ask for a martini with a twist that means there shouldn't be any olives near it. I'm also not convinced she likes working in the only decent bar in town as she seems to hate life in general. When I pay for a good drink, I'm paying for the drink and the service and the service here? Quite frankly: it sucks. As do the drinks. There was maybe 3 other people in the bar and it took a good 20 minutes to get our second round. The other reviews say the owner is a great bartender and I'd like to get there on a night when he is serving. The cocktail menu is extensive, but would be better with more classic drinks on it. Far too much sugar.

Yummy food, nice atmosphere. Great for a date or to hang and sip martinis with some close friends. Awesome martinis! They know how to mix 'em. The dirty harry and lavender tea infused martinis are deeelish!

Great atmosphere, killer martini's in fact, the best vodka dirtys in town. Only thing that makes me crazy there is when they have a band and its cranked in that room, then loud music off the system thats totally different near the bar. If you are in the middle area near the fireplace you walk out with one heck of a headache. It would be great if they'd just tune into the band unless they are on a break.

This place is nice to look at but annoying to be in. This is a place that specializes in the abomination known as the Appletini. Clearly aiming for the middle aged professional crowd that want to relive their 20s, they advertise 60+ martinis and they're all crap. A martini by definition is GIN, Vermouth and Olives. They have two bottles of exceptionally mediocre Gin behind the bar. If they insist on charging $13 a shot from the dusty bottle of Lagavulin, they can replace some of the 20 Vodkas they have for upgraded Gins.

Highly recommend the goat cheese with pomegranate sauce for an appetizer to go along with your martini or beer. Atmosphere and prices were right on. Great place to chill in late afternoon or happy hour. Hopefully Public Square can move in a direction that offers a diverse selection of local places like this in the future!

Food is awesome! Very chill vibe coming in before everyone comes to drink. Drinking here is fun too, they usually have a band or DJ.

This is the place to get a good cosmo in town! iv never really tried the food, but the atmosphere is very intimate.

For Watertown, this place is pretty darn classy. Love the ambiance and the fact that there's one room that's a bar, one room for casual, intimate seating, and one room for a band/dance floor! Sooo many flavors of martinis, and I haven't been disappointed in one yet. The service is usually pretty good. Definitely one of the nicer places to go for a drink in this town.

The crowd here is pretty decent and professional. The main drag about this place is some of the bartenders just suck. Waited 20 minutes only to never be served so i went to the back where (luckily) they had another guy serving up some beers at a small stand. The decor is pretty cool but when you cant get a drink it doesnt really matter.

Who doesn't like the Paddock Club!?!?!? Stop in for a martini (jolly rancher) :) and some wings.... Bartenders are super friendly!

A nice fusion of rednecky/trashy people acting classy with cough syrup flavored martinis. It's a great dimly lit cozy place..but for people watching it's a must if your in Watertown (keep a sense of humor). There are professionals who venture in here, but the scene is pretty funny. The bartenders are largely butt head nitwits..sharp as marbles but basically keeping order in this place.

This is a fantastic place for Ladies' Night. The drinks are delish & the bartenders are great. They also host the Uncorked Canvas art classes which is a great ladies night. The owners are a blast. My favorites are the pink lady Martini & the chicken dip.

  • Justin F.

Everything about this place is amazing. The bartenders are always super down to earth and tend to know how to make anything you want. They offer specials everyday of the week at great prices. The ambiance of the entire place really captures the history of the building.

When I used to work at Ft. Drum this place became increasingly popular and for good reason. In my opinion the most unique bar in the area. Set in one of the oldest indoor malls in America, this place is unassuming until you walk inside. The 1st room is the main bar with tv's a few tables and a dark ambiance. The next room has large leather couches and a fire place. The back room is (if I remember correctly) where all the live bands/DJs played and people danced. I recently stopped by here before a wedding for a little daytime drinking and it reaffirmed to me this is a nice bar. They serve lunch. I only got chips and guacamole (and it was good) but my fiance LOVES the martinis here. Her favorite is the PS I Love you. Swing by and give this place a shot if your in the area.

As good as it gets, especially in Watertown, NY..... Don't get me wrong it was good, there was just the lack of a good bar scene and then there is this hidden GEM. The bartenders were very nice and made great drinks. I think I bought at least 4 rounds for a bunch of nice ladies and my buddies and the bills was less then a single round in Los Angeles... Ether way, the picture I posted up of the ambulance was one of the nice young ladies I was talking to... guess all the rounds was a bad ideal... There was a nice mixed crowd, mostly nice people. Then there was this one fat fwk that wore a LA Dodger cap. Real rude and wanted to start crap with people. Mofo, I'm from LA you go back to your trailer and keep wishing!

I love it here on an off night. It's just got great decor and ambiance. There are separate rooms with lots of furniture for lounging. The crowd during the week is a little older which is cool with me, no loud drunken shenanigans. I think of their patrons to be the more worldly and cultured type wearing pencil skirts and neckties. It's a little classier than your average bar. Especially in Watertown. Nice outdoor area with a porch and tables for smoking or chilling. I also found myself here on New Years. I am chalking that experience to the fact that it was New Years. Obviously GI's everywhere, loud, sloppy people. Just don't go here in New Years and you're fine.

We stopped here after my 10 year class reunion in August. I grew up in Watertown and visit 3-4 times a year, but had never been to Paddock before. I am so glad we tagged along because it was great! I'm sure the fact that I was surrounded by classmates helped, but the place has a great vibe and the decor is fab. It was hella crowded, but we still managed to get our drinks pretty quick (we were only drinking draft beer, so cocktails may have taken longer). And since its gay-friendly, my fiancee and I felt perfectly comfortable being ourselves. I look forward to going back with friends when its a little calmer and get a better sense of the usual ambiance.

Excellent place. Bartender remembered my name after one visit. Beer is good, and cheap. There are the usuals who are fun and here often. The atmosphere is old world, but well kept. Leather chairs fireplace and crazy fun women dancing!

After coming here a couple of times in the last few years, I decided to come back- good drinks, and I liked the fact that there werent a million loud kiddies-- sadly when I returned after about a year, it was so crowded and full of 21 yr olds and such that we couldnt even find room to get in. It was loud, crowded, and smoky. It used to be my favorite place to relax with my husband for drinks- it was a more grown-up place before... what happened?!

The only place in Watertown I actually liked. The staff is super nice and always friendly. I loved the vintageish look to it. The DJ is good, but DJ Noodle was my favorite. This became the hangout spot for a few friends and I. Nothing but good memories here...I'll be back! ;p
