We ate here last night. One of the few places open year round in the LG area. Meat it the taco salad was not flavored very much, but the shell was crispy and toppings delicious. Chicken burrito was awesome. Wife had the French onion soup and said it was good but nothing special. She also had buffalo chicken salad it was a little spicy but she will definitely order again. Our favorite dish is the baked brie with raspberry topping and crusty bread. It is FANTASTIC, we order it whenever we are up here.

Read the reviews and I can only say is our experience here was better than what seems to be reported--granted, we did not have a large sampling, but took the advice of one review about the pizza and went with that. We sat at the bar, which is exactly our usual game plan. The main room you walk into was cozy and comfortable. The bartender knew everyone coming in and out and we sat at the local end of the bar and met some great characters. I would imagine that during the winter, with the fireplace crackling, this is the place to be in town. It was a beautiful night and the double front doors were wide open and it felt so right and Americana. You have to love this country for places just like this. There was some outside seating along the deck and , which was pretty popular this night, but the inside bar near the front door is the place to be. We went with a pizza (meatball & pepperoni) and hit the nail on the head. The crust was cooked to perfection and this was a great pie and in the top tier of pies we have had over the years. Good selection of beers on tap and decent pours of good wine from behind the bar. This is a definite upon our return to the area

Food was excellent would give a 5 but service was poor.Staff were busy in cell phones and didn't do a check back once food was served. Glasses were empty and waitress didn't even notice. We had to say something to hostess and she brought over a pitcher. We were a party of 8 and told waitress wanted separate bills. We were completely finished eating and still no checks. Had to go to bar to pay and waitress said she would not split up the bill. Because of lack service tips weren't left. Hostess black hair followed us down The street to confront us right in front of town hall. Could not believe it.

Teenage waitress overcharged my credit card by a noticeable amount... But she was so sweet in person. Just because we are tourists that have enough money to vacation in your town, does not mean you can take our money as you please. Luckily, I still had the receipt and had the charge reversed with my bank, no need to contact the restaurant, hopefully they get the point from this review, let go of the waitress, and respond to this review apologizing before many other potential customers read this and decide not to go there. Just my two cents... You can't run a successful business when waitresses are stealing money from customers...

Came here to get in from the cold and was pleasantly surprised. They had two fire places that really warmed us up. They even had free soup on the fire which we helped ourselves to, it was delicious. Staff was more than friendly and food and drinks were great.

Don't bother ! Service stinks and food isn't worth the money. We had the shrimp scallop in vodka sauce w penne- way over cooked and sauce tasted from a jar. My daughter had burnt hard sliders . My seared tuna was over cooked and awful with no seasonings. No flavor! My husband ordered a drink from the bar and took a sip in front of the server and made a nasty face and immediately ordered something else- she charged us the almost $10 for it anyways even tho he didn't drink it . My drink was way to sweet - the huckleberry lemonade. Don't waste your money.

Fun place but bartenders and hostess (older woman with blonde hair) were extremely rude! Raw bar was good and fresh though. I'd come back for that. Management should get a new staff though. People don't want to deal with attitude on their vacation.

Been there a few times for food & it's been pretty good. My dad swears by the pepperoni pizza! Stopped in last night for a few drinks and was pleasantly surprised by the 2 for 1 drinks from 9-1AM on Wednesdays (doesn't include shots). Good place to enjoy a casual atmosphere and a round of pool.

I loved the atmosphere in this place. The waitress was really nice and the prices were really affordable. It was off season for the lake so it was tough to find a place that was open, we lucked out with Frederick's! The waitress even let us order off the kids menu when I decided I really just wanted a grilled cheese and fries. They had a really good butternut squash soup special too. If I'm ever in Lake George again, I will definitely be back to this place!

Food was so-so. The steak salads had little steak (3 oz maybe). What got me was the charge per soda for the group. Most places hit you once and refills are free. Do not plan to return the next time we're at the lake.

We stopped by for lunch, craving for good salad and that was exactly what we got. They know how cob salad should be and I really appreciate that they pay attention to fresh ingredients with just right amount of them!

Decent prices and service. The menu has a good selection of different types of food, Mexican, Italian, American... Good appetizers also. This place also had live music at the outdoor tables and the guy was very good.

Nice ski lodge interior with pool tables, darts, and plenty of flat screen tvs. The drinks were good and they have a large menu. Occasionally they have good live music. Overall a good spot in the barless Bolton.

A bastion of the passing through Lake George. I can't imagine why? We had outdoor seating on a summer afternoon. Mediocre food with teenage help. Yup, it's Lake George in the summer. I prefer real food with real service in comfortable seating. This just isn't it for me.

Was out at Lake George with my family and we were trying to find a restaurant with outdoor seating and without a long wait on a Saturday night and this was the one. The hostess was nice at the front and got us a table within 10 minutes. Service was too slow. Appetizers came almost the same time as our entrees. The food was average.

I've been going here for the past 5 years winter and summer and I like it don't let a few bad apples spoil bunch its quant and the staff is friendly if your looking for The 4 Seasons go to the Sagamore, stick with the basics nachos wings burgers and sandwiches and beers. You will have a good time!

Nice little place, huge outdoor seating and affordable menu. I got the shrimp and scalops with vodka sauce over linguini, and it came with 3 large shrimp and 3 large scalops and what I am pretty sure was a homemade vodka sauce and it was really good. Their enchiladas were ok, the rice was really good and my pops loved the quesedilla. The service was poor, our server was very slow and never refilled water. I wanted to take a star away for this, but I am in a good mood from my vacation to this area so I wont :P

Enjoyed a nice meal with the family on the outdoor deck. Had a tasty portobello mushroom panini. Wife had a nice, fresh salad with grilled chicken. We also had a roast beef panini that was good. Service was fast and friendly.

Ok.. Just ate in this place yesterday.. 10 of us... ZERO STARS... Complete dive.... Horrible food... Total rip off.... Charging for EVERY SOFT DRINK(SPLASH GUN) was just the start..yep thats right charging for refill splash gun sodas in New York. Waited so long on our food... Terrible service... And the cheeky so and so had the balls to add 20% to the cheque..... I mean it.... HORRIBLE FOOD... To top off our experience... We made a point to leave the EXACT money.. 5 mins later a staff member came out to one of the girls who happened to be on her own.. Rest of us had already hit the road.... Well low and behold she accused us of leaving them $10 short on the cheque.... DISGRACEFUL DISGRACEFUL DISGRACEFUL... Enough said.... And that was "10" reviews rolled into one.....

I had a bad experience at Frederick's this summer. At one point we thought the waitress had forgotten about us and we where going to get up and leave. The waitress also had a bit of an attitude and also charged us 20% for her service...which included taken the order, leaving us with empty glasses, bring out meals out at different times and forgetting part of the order. To top it all off when we finally got the food...it was not good! If you are ever in that area I suggest you try one of the other eateries.
