For being a local I have basically grown up with Capri pizza. I feel bad giving them two stars because food wise they are defiantly 5 stars. But me an my boyfriend went in to eat the other weekend and sat down. The waitress was so unbelievably rude I wanted to walk out. I didn't even mind waiting the hour we did for food because they were busy, but waiting 20 min for our drinks as I say there and watched the waitress text people I the reason they are getting two stars. The only reason I would go here is to grab a quick slice and leave.

This place was the best! We came in and ordered a calzone, some minestrone and pizza and all of it was delicious! It wasn't that crowded the day we went in, around 4. Family friendly and would highly recommend. Was also very affordable!

The pizza is decent or at least it was. Beware of the pizza chef, I believe he is the owner he is the only one I ever see making the pizzas. An obvious smoker coughs many times on hands and pizzas while preparing them and since I have yet to see soap in the bathrooms (at least the women's so I can only assume the men's) the staff is not washing appropriately. Although we had already purchased our pizza we left without eating because we were disgusted by what we saw. The place itself is very dirty.

Stopped in late night. 9 pm off season! Got a large pepperoni. Delicious!! Would definitely get pizza grin then again when in town! If are ordering out, I would recommend them!

Nothing's better than midnight pizza at the hotel courtesy of a walk through Lake George Village holding a pie from Capri. My wife and I both thought it was excellent pizza. I love how it looks and smells like a pizzeria. Nothing flashy, not overly clean...just a pizzeria. And a damn good one at that.

Capri is a good spot to grab a slice while walking Canada Street. Decent pizza at a good price

Been going to lake George for vacation for over 10 years and Capri pizza is still the best! All types of pizza with just the right amount of crust cooked to perfection! Table service is fine, nothing fancy but you get your order in and out in good time. The pizza is fabulous and flavorful and huge slices too! Plus it is right next to the arcade which is another Lake George must go!

Watch your money folks! I sent my kid in to get a pizza while I waited outside with our pet. They short changed us by $1.00. It wasn't worth going in to argue about it. But still, who takes advantage of kids? Especially in this economy. Shame on you for treating tourists like this and giving your establishment and town a bad name!

I have loved Capri Pizza for over 20 years, but when I ate here last week something had changed. New ownership? A different recipe? Whatever it was, I am hesitant to go back. During the two weeks my family spends at Lake George we usually go to Capri 3 or 4 times for a slice, but this year once was enough. I hope they can change their recipe back because I miss those delicious thin crust slices of heaven.

Pizza ok. Place a bit dingy. Service was ok. Order at the counter. Old style booth jukebox were cool, but a bit run down and dirty.

Very good pizza at this place. We ordered a sicilian pie with half cheese and half peperoni to bring back to our hotel room. It had a uniquely spiced flavor to it that added a little twist to the plain cheese side of the sicilian. I enjoyed it very much and the pizza itself is very filling. Two slices and I was set for the night.

Came here on 4th of July weekend. I got a slice of cheese, the slice came back from the oven slightly warm to touch. The pizza had some flavor, you could tell that the pizza would be good, especially if it was warm/ hot. So i finished up my slice and decided to order from their later (dinner). The girl that warmed my slice was probably the owner's daughter. She placed pizza in the oven upside down (cheese side hit the oven surface). I think she's the owner's daughter because there is no way any one can work the register and heat slices with that level of incompetence and not be fired. That and she didn't know that I ordered one of their signature dishes. She wasn't sure if it was something they made. One of her coworkers politely pointed her in the right direction (ie the menu). I got the Saratoga (lots of veggies). The pizza itself was soggy and wet from all of the ingredients. I can't imagine that it would be good especially since the toppings fell off as it approached my mouth. Decided not to go back. especially since there are a bunch of horrible eating experiences waiting to happen in the area. I wish I could've had a better experience. I say go to Pizza Jerks!

great pie in a world of lousy tourist food. This was one of the few places with a line....goes to show you how good it is.

Best Pizza I've ever had! I don't know what it is, the sauce, the cheese? What I do know is it's delicious!

This is always the place to go after a night of drinking in LG. The pizza is so good even when you are sober! I love the huge slices hot out of the oven. Oh my god I want a slice right now!!!

The best pizza you will find in the Lake George area and right on the main strip in town. I have only had pizza here, I never sat down and had waitress service with food so I can not comment on that. The pizza is good- their Sicilian and regular slices are very tasty with NYC quality taste. My boyfriend had the buffalo chicken slice, it was okay- kind of dry, nothing to rave about. They have plenty of different slices to choose from and it is always moving quickly since it is usually very busy in there with people coming in and out for a slice before moving on to their next activity of the day. Definitely a recommendation for a cheap, quick, and tasty lunch. Again, another place that offers coupons, if you are buying a whole pie they have $2 off coupons.

Decent pizza. Table service is OK. Just about always busy. Just about the only pizza on the main strip in town. Needs a makeover.

Great Buffalo style pizza! Crispy wings! Overall, good food and timely delivery.

We used to make this our first stop every year when in Lake George, no more. I later found out that is under new ownership and the food is not even in the same league as before. They used to have the best and now you would be better off ordering from a chain pizza joint. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a Stromboli with pepperoni, onions, and bacon. The pizza as dried out with little sauce, even our pizza munching kids would not finish it. I ordered the Stomboli and when opened it up it was about half the regular old size and was burnt all over. The dough inside was still raw. How does someone burn food and still have it under cooked at the same time? The toppings were sparse to none, the bacon was just one 3 inch shriveled up piece, few pepperoni and onions. The sauce is a whole other story, there was still oil not cooked in floating around with the tomatoes and there was just no flavor to the sauce. We were shocked that such a great pizza joint is so terrible now.

Best pizza in Lake George! My family has been coming here for years and this place never changes (and that's a good thing).

As a local, this is the BEST pizzeria in the area. Don't be fooled by imposters...this place is awesome.

Capri is an average pizza joint in a good location. Its location in the center of Lake George Village ensures a steady flow of customers, which means that there is usually a wide variety of fresh pizza available by the slice. Subs are decent. Anything other than pizza or a sub is risky. At times it can get crowded and confusing at the front counter. The entrance way passes by the front counter, and people will cluster there while waiting to order. The dining area is casual, and the bathrooms are clean. Service varies depending on how busy it is and how many people are working. The staff is businesslike and to-the-point. If you are looking for pizza or a sub in the Village, this is a decent choice.

One star for the food. The pizza was very good, crispy and portioned to our liking. Not too much sauce (light sauce), cheesy and topped well. Mozz sticks were nice and melty, the breading was a little different than what I am used to, but not bad. Our waitress was attentive and nice, got our refills quickly. She brought out the wrong pizza at first, but everyone makes mistakes. They lost three stars because of rude service. They almost didn't accept our gift cards, charged us 14 dollars gratuity on top of the tip we left on the table. (two separate orders at the same table). Basically paid as much in a tip as we did on our pizza. Plus the manager is a jerk and gave us a lot of attitude. They also charged us full price on refills.

Awesome Pizza! and for a great price- we paid for 2 slices 2 days before down on the strip at a different place and it was way overpriced and was just ok. Huge slice's at Capri's and delish!

Very very nice eating experience here. Too bad my appetite wasn't too hot from not having slept much and also the weather being really craptastic. Stopped here on the drive down from Montreal because the family and I wanted pizza and my mom knew of this place which she remembered she'd eaten at before on the back way back from another trip to Montreal. Since Montreal pizza is a pitiful excuse for pizza, eating here made the experience seem like gourmet cuisine. It was nice to see menus in English again as well. Place is small, family owned, wait staff are the kids in the family. Very pleasant and polite service. Very good Italian home-food options. We just wanted a pizza pie and although the sausage pizza was a tiny bit messy, twas still very good. Better than the dreck I'd eaten in Montreal. While we were eating, some very enthusiastic women who I suspected were part of the family entered to declare that the restaurant had been voted best pizza in Lake George. The positive energy felt very good. A wonderful little place for families and not touristy at all like so many other places in Lake George.

Called here at 10 on a Saturday night and they were still open! Rare for this area. Ordered a medium pizza and a batch of garlic knots, and wasn't disappointed by either. The delivery was on time (35 minutes) and very polite. Pizza was pretty decent for upstate new york, the crust was a little bland, but the sauce and toppings were on point. Garlic knots were excellent. If I am in the area again I'd consider returning.

stopped off here for a quick slice post lunch, pre dinner. the line up was through the door, but the service wasn't all that. we felt rush, and pushed out while we waited for our garlic knots. the slice was decent, we added our own herbs to it, to add more taste.

Food: better than average pizzeria Decor: pizzeria Cost: reasonable for what u get Service: pizzeria Caveat: I was hungry. Typical NYC style pizzeria. No complaints. Food was good enough and tasty enough. Five of us ate and drank a filling lunch for for $62.

Saturday night 845pm line is out the door and they're out of cheese pizza. Wouldn't even let you wait for the next cheese pie. Ordered two slices of Sicilian which came out very cold. Staff is not friendly at all.

The only decent pizzeria open within a twenty mile radius. You can ways count on Capri for that afternoon snack, quick dinner with the family, or late night slice. Excellent customer service and great variety of Italian dishes.

Ordered the popular Godfather pizza. Waited 20 minutes and it came out no basil. We complained and they brought us Italian seasoning and called it basil. Took 10% off the bill. No thanks. Three strike YOURE OUT! Came here since childhood. No more.

Pizza was pretty good, service was quick. Not as impressed with the inside of the restaurant. The seating area was very dated and run down, staff wasn't very friendly either.

Rating this one is hard. To be fair, it was July 4 and they were slammed. So I have to keep that in mind when I rate. Let's go with this: Food was a five. Pizza was superb. Staff was friendly. However, the bathrooms were unusable due to a backed up toilet in them (and the smell, oh hell, the smell was the stuff of nightmares.) So facilities were a 1. Hence a 3 overall. I'm planning to try it on a not holiday as I think this pizza might be delish.

This is one of the only spots open late in this area and they have great food and great service. Price isn't cheap but still reasonable. Tried their cheeseburger and fries, which was amazing. My boyfriend had the pizza and was happy.Next day tried their chicken cutlet sub. Also great ,plus they deliver to the fort william Henry hotel.

We ordered a pizza and garlic knots. Both were very yummy. Best pizza we've gotten so far in Lake George.

On the service: Up sold, given half our drink order with only a single straw. Our server spilled a drink and simply left without a word. I cannot say I'd recommend eating here. If you do come, make sure you're assertive so you don't get forgotten. On the food: When it did come, the pizza was hot and thin and better than the service made us expect. All in all: Try and just get a slice to go with a drink from the cooler.

A true staple in Lake George! It's tradition that we go here every summer at least once. The pizza is the BEST in New York, never mind Lake George! The service is always fast and friendly, the place is always clean even on their busiest days, and the environment is everything you want from a pizza place. Order whatever. You'll be glad you did!

  • Raffi M.

This isn't a four-star pizza by New York City standards (it is as good as an average slice shop in the City), but by the standards of perennial tourist trap Lake George Village, I'm tempted to give it five. Real NY pizza at reasonable prices. But order a pie if you want it to be decent. It's crowded and noisy, by the way, and there are often waits unless you come at 8. Still, this is a mainstay for us when we're upstate. It's good, reliable and has been here forever (ever since my wife was a little girl).

  • Laura F.

The food was just okay. I wouldn't go back. The restaurant was filthy, the restrooms were disgusting and the service is pathetic. The dining room is so tiny you can't even push a stroller through without people have to push their chairs in so far that they are getting squished.

  • Joshua C.

I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had but the pizza is great, had the godfather and we added pepperoni. Dough needed a few more mins in the oven to crisp but overall great pie and really reasonable for The main drag. Garlic knots were under cooked and lacked garlic but the pizza made up for it. Staff is friendly but there is only one waitress and she appears to be overworked. If you are in lg and looking for a cheaper alternative this is it the only pie worth it in town
