This bakery is absolutely amazing. My sister has been going here for years, she rants and raves about everything and when she brings it home I never find fault in why she goes crazy for these treats. From the cookies to the chocolate cakes, everything is amazing. My favorite, by far, are the mini Lulus. The establishment it self, is extremely clean and welcoming. No matter how busy the workers are, they will always great you with a smile and never rush you. Please, you will be doing yourself a dishonor if you haven't been here yet.

Omg!! This place has some amazing cakes and pastries and they're very courteous. I always buy this one came from them it's chocolate with hazelnut crunch on the inside. It has a yummy chocolate ganache on the outside with edible chocolate decorations. I also had another cake from them, my cousin bought it for one of our family functions. It was a cannoli cake & was really good. I love this place and will continue to buy from them.

Great little bakery in Fresh Meadows, close to SJU. Not huge inside but they have plenty to choose from given their size. On this occasion, we went with a chocolate cream pie and an apricot tart/quiche creation. Both were delicious without feeling too heavy or being too sweet. They have adequate staff to keep the line moving and get you in and out fairly quickly. They also have a nice selection of Italian cookies and cakes as well and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying out some other things next time. I'm usually a huge fan of Buttercooky on Jericho Turnpike but would definitely come back to Lulu's since it's closer to me and also because their offerings were good.

The good Traditional Italian style bakery with a range of well prepared fresh Italian pastries with some French options . Good price point. I love lobster tails and they make an excellent one with regular and mini options. Overall most everything I have had very good. Fruit tart, babas rhum, eclair .... Have yet to order whole cake ,coffee, bread or cookies. Quick friendly service. The bad Wish they had later hours and would deliver. Would love to come here for after dinner dessert. Least memorable were cake slices like carrot cake or cheesecake

Let's give it up for my new favorite pastry... THE LULU! Oh my, I LOVE it! It's basically shaped like half a lobster tail with one side exposed and filled with the same type of cream but the texture of the dough is much softer and there's way less crumbs from eating it too. I will however say the lobster tails at LuLu's are on point. They inject them with cream in two places to ensure that the tail is perfectly filled with cream from top to bottom. I tried some of the other miniatures that they sell by the pound. The fruit tarts were good and crumbly, not too sweet. The presentation is also fantastic. This is the type of place that you walk in and just want to order one of everything. The mini eclairs were yummy too and I plan to get the full sized ones when I return.

Place is always great. I had no idea how busy it is at 7:30am on a Saturday!! I've bought many cakes from them...the tiramisu, black and white, strawberry shortcake, and i bought some rainbow cookies and today, the canoli! This place is truly a gem in Queens. I never bought anything here for myself. I always brought Lulu's pastries to parties. I saw some stuff that I wanted to try out for myself. I wanted to try and buy everything! The display is just mouth-watering. This place can be compared to Martha's Bakery or even Butter Cookie. Only thing is...Lulu's is small, compared to the other 2 places. Parking can be a pain since it can be congested for the most part. I do recommend this place. The hours are not as convenient for me as i work a 9-5 on wkdays. By the time I get home, they're ready to close :( i will have to come here on occassion otherwise I would eat myself to death here LOL

I love this bakery! The girls are always sweet and helpful. The orange cranberry whole wheat scone is my (not so secret) addiction. The pies are always fresh and delicious! My fiancé always loved the ricotta cheesecake I got for his birthday. Haven't tasted anything I haven't liked yet!

Don't be alarmed by the rating, this deserves 3.5 stars for now! I ordered a birthday cake with chocolate cake with chocolate mouse, strawberry mouse, with whip cream all over. I love the options there were for creating a personalized cake and it came out beautiful!! It was inexpensive for a 6" round (25$). The staff was courteous and helpful in the process. I just didn't think it was suppeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr delicious but still good! Then I went a little overboard and spend another $25 sampling a bunch of their treats. The most memorable would be the rainbow cake. I love that the raspberry jam in the middle. MMM!! Best rainbow cake I've had in a while! Definitely fresh and succulent, I would go back just for these! I also enjoyed the pignoli cookies (cookies with pine nuts on top). The red velvet cupcake was strangely salty, as was the base cookie/cake component to many of their desserts. The cute poop looking one and strawberry banana one was also just alright. It's easy to rack up the bill sampling these things so careful if you're eating with your eyes! I would come back to this bakery... there's just so many things to try. The staff are kind as well!

This review is wayyyyyy overdue. I came to Lulu's because I heard great things and since it was close to home. For my husband's 30th birthday party I wanted to have a hookah cake, and that's partially because he's obsessed with hookah. I wanted a bakery close to home because I was afraid of transporting the cake from somewhere far and messing it up. Anyway, I went in to see Charlie and just mentioned that to him to see if he would be able to create it. He immediately had a ton of ideas and started sketching it out, adding the black and white color scheme of the party to his sketch. He included the most intricate details that I never would have thought of on my own. I was very impressed with his expertise. The cake in person looked amazing. I don't think pictures can do it any justice. It ended up exceeding my expectations and being so perfect that no one wanted to touch it or eat it. The filling inside the cake was a cookies and cream and it was delicious. Everyone loved it. I would highly recommend Lulu's for your specialty cake needs! Also, their pastries & regular cakes are pretty good too.

Lulu's is my compromise between having to cross county lines to grab just-OK pastries from Marzullo's, or schlep out of my way up Franny Lew to D'Aquila, which the traffic on Northern rarely allows. I like most of their offerings, but they have their shortcomings. First, the good: Their cassatina is one of the most authentic that I've had outside Sicily. The hazelnut cannoli and sfogliatelle are unbelievable. Their magic is not limited to pastry, either. When I got the Banana-Nutella tart for a family party I won over the crowd immediately. The Meh: Rainbow cookies were too cakey, part of it is a matter of preference but they weren't what I'd consider authentic. Also, their croissant/cornetto was just off. The crema pasticceria was right, but the actual pastry was heavy and overly sweet, just felt more American-style. Despite my critiques, they certainly dominate in quality compared to other bakeries in the area. I don't think that Martha's or Buttercooky could measure up to them.

A little gold mine hidden in the confines of union turnpike which always has a way to satisfy my sweet tooth. From their coffee to their sweetest of sweets Lulu's has always managed to beat my expectations. The lines are not that long and even when they are, the workers are quick and efficient. I have tried their rainbow cookies, chocolate and cappuccino muffins, the new Nutella fruit tart and I still can't get over the strawberry cheesecake I ordered from them for my Birthday and the cornbread we tried over thanksgiving. I have seen them make some pretty amazing triple layer cakes, such as the ninjago cake they made for my Nephews 5th birthday. I ain't gonna lie, don't come here if you can't handle the sugar, because if you step in here, it is blasphemous not to stuff your face.

What can I say that has not already been said by the dozens of five star reviewers. Everything is fresh and delicious, the staff is always friendly, cakes, pastries and coffee what more can you ask for. One of the last great neighborhood bakeries. Would love to know where I could get a good German seven layer cake though... LuLu's doesn't bake them even though each and every time I walk in to LuLu's I ask them for a Butterbun Seven Layer Cake. Those that are not familiar... Butterbun Bakery was located on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn during the 1960 to 2000 then the owner/baker retired. Since then thousands of loyal Butterbun fans have been searching the five boroughs to find anything even remotely as good as the German Seven Layer cake that Butterbun was famous for. Next time you go to LuLu's Bakery ask for a Butterbun Seven Layer Cake. I was amazed that there was one such negative review by some girl from Virginia, but then I read her reviews and she pretty much thinks every place she has ever eaten at has sucked (11 out of 15) anyway so I tend to ignore people that post so many negative reviews. I also ignore reviewers that are completely wrong... I mean, according to her review she rated the cake as awful, then went back and rated the cupcakes as terrible, then went back again and rated the pastry as horrible. I don't even think she actually ever went to LULU's bakery.

I am IMPRESSED! I think this has to be the best-tasting Italian bakery in the Queens area. 1) Tirimisu: This is my favorite item in this bakery. Warning: Do not let your children near this piece because they really do not cheap out on the rum. 2) Fruit Tart: I was amazed on how fresh these fruits were. Usually, blackberries and raspberry can be very sour, but surprisingly all the fruits were sweet. 3) Italian Cheesecake: Very light and not too sweet. Is it just me or is there a lemony flavor to it? It's good though. 4) Carrot Cake: This had to be my least favorite out of the crowd. But yet again, I'm not a huge fan of coconut flakes. Why did I drop a star? There was one thing that really annoyed me about the layout of the store. They put numbers on each pastry but they don't tell you what they are. The staff was more than willing to tell me which item were which, but I personally like to look through it on my own. I even found myself irritating after asking, "What cake is that?, what kind of nuts are in those?, does the green color stand for pistachio or mint flavor?" FYI: -$10 minimum for credit card purchase -items with just a number to them are weighed by the pound

I took a chance in coming here because I wanted to try an alternative to Martha's Bakery. I bought their cheesecake, nutella croissant and a large ice coffee. I called earlier that morning, and found out their 8 inch cheesecake was $22, while Martha's was $32. Being a broke post-college student, I went for Lulu's. I can't say much about their cheesecake, partially because I haven't yet tried it. But their nutella croissant was AMAZING. It was oozing with nutella and it was perfect. Combine that with ice coffee, and it's amazing! I will def. come back again!

My family and I are frequent lulu patrons. Anytime we have a craving for something sweet or an occasion that requires cake, we come here. The staff is very nice, attentive and helpful. I haven't tried their coffee yet but I heard it is stellar. What I have tried are just about all of their pastries (I have a problem). Their rainbow cakes are delicious and go perfectly with coffee after dinner. The traditional Italian sweets they have are really my favorite. Their items are always fresh and never soggy. The creams are luscious and it's always the perfect temperature. Recent we purchase a chocolate cake with hazelnut moose and chocolate ganache with a chocolate wafer on the bottom and crunch pearls (notice how I rambled because I'm in LOVE!) it was decadent and addicting. I almost had left overs for breakfast. Can't stress how good this place is.

Stopped in here to bring over a little bit of something for my friends and they were delicious, so wonderfully presented and the girls at counter are extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning. While I'm not the biggest dessert person I am certainly a sucker for butter cookies. Half a pound later, they are gone.

The strawberry cheesecake was average but the service was horrendous. I was asked for my ID to use my own credit card. I think it was very insulting for a $27 worth cake bearing in mind that I have not given any reason to ask for my ID, not like there's a age requirement to buy a cake and even if there was I'm pretty sure I was older than the employee serving me. Horrible customer service.

Staff is super friendly! I came here and bought a rainbow cake! It was delicious however I felt like they put way way to much jam inside. I have bought the italian cookies before which I didn't like at all as well as an easter egg looking cake which was good. I also got the red velvet cake which was average. Great place for a quick pick up of sweets but not my to-go place.

Lulu's bakery definitely does it for me. I used to come here much more often when I lived in the vicinity. Now I only stop by when I'm around that side of town. Basically, this place is a god send. This little italian bakery really does sell wonders. I've tried the chocolate muffin, the eclairs, rainbow cookies, and their new nutella fruit tart. I absolutely love their cheese danishes and different jelly danishes. I'm afraid to step into this place sometimes because I just can't say no. The coffee here is great too! I can stay awake for hours. It's strong and tastes as fine as wine. I'll def. be coming to Lulu's again and again and again.

This is probably one of my favorite bakeries in Queens. I've ordered cakes from them for numerous occasions, and everyone seems to like them. Their Black & White and also their Chocolate Mousse cakes are very good. Decorations on the cake is also very pretty. I'm also a fan of their pastries.

I purchased a butter cream mocha cake and a apple ring. i have to admit that walking into the small store front i had a 15 minute as there were a lot of people waiting to pick cakes. parking was an issue, i dont live in the area and there is no parking i the front or rear of store. I dont mind paying for something and knowing that i am getting a good product. the mocha cake with butter cream was a bit dry. The layers inside the cake had a ratio of double the ammount of butter cream to cake dough. The butter cream was too sweet, yes there was coffee flaor infused into the butter cream but the cske was not moist at all. the cake itself from the outside had a nice presentation but overall i would not buy that one cake again. the apple ring also had a beautifil presentation, however the filling (apple crumb) was not existent. I understand this is a small mom and pop shop, but I did buy 2 apple rings and both seemed to be missing the apple, no.consistent with the product and or nobody is inspecting the final product. Now this is not the first time i buy the apple ring, about 2 months ago my neighbor brought me one as a gift and it was amazing, just enough apple everywhere not too much sugar it was really great. For now i will stick to going to Cannelle Patisserie near norther blvd and 74st, they bake and sell perfectio. even if the menu is limited. if you try them you will love all their baked goods, pastries and cake assortment. TRUST ME!

I was so lucky that I made it to Lulus before they closed. I was literally the last customer and normally most salespeople and counter people will snicker or give you attitude, not the Lulu girls! They were all genuinely nice and very helpful. I came for a birthday cake for my pops and so far every year, Lulu cakes have been a success and this year was no different. I chose "Italian Birthday cake" and everyone loved it. Vanilla cake with vanilla and chocolate pudding with whip cream icing was just too perfect and light right after the heavy meal we all consumed. It may actually be my fave style of birthday cake going forward. Thank you Lulus!!! Your loyal stalker

This is the hidden gem of Queens! Had I not attended St. John's, I would not have known this was here even though I've lived within five miles for over two decades. Food: recommended items are the strawberry tart, Tiramisu, Italian Cheesecake, Baby (Regular) Cheesecake, and German Mocha Cake. Service: try to go between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Afterwards or beforehand, it can get quite crowded and you'll have to take a number, though I've never waited more than five minutes for service. Staff is always friendly. Decor/Ambiance: they scored an "A" with New York City and the entire place always looks spic and span.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Lulu's. It forever be my bakery spot until I die! Went there when I was younger, got old enough to work there, worked there for a couple years and still always go back! Charlie, the owner and pastry chef, puts his heart and soul into every thing that is made in that shop. It is absolutely the best pastries I've ever had. Everything I try at another bakery I will compare to Lulu's. What can I say I'm spoiled! I don't eat canolis anywhere else because they just don't taste as good as Charlies! The shop itself is small but the variety is HUGE! Now, I go to a bakery and the space is huge but the selection isnt. At Lulu's you're bound to find something you like, whether is the morning pastries, cookies, fruit tarts, whole cakes or cup cakes or bread-- trust me you'll find it! Be sure to try the seven c's if you're a chocolate lover! It's my all time favorite! The strawberry cheesecake is to die for and all things canoli/canoli cream! Absolutely amazing! Love this place, love Charlie and the awesome girls/guys he has behind the counter!

If you love yourself, you'll try a CASSATINA!!! Otherwise, you need therapy because you obviously do not love yourself enough and are clearly depressed. No one should deprive themselves of this little piece of heaven made by angels. About the bakery; nice and clean, huge selection, and the rainbow cookies were good - that's how you truly judge a bakery, by it's rainbow cookies, in case you didn't know.

What a great discovery in Queens! This is definitely up there with Martha's, I'm actually surprised that it doesn't have as much recognition as it deserves. First off, the place itself is gorgeous. It definitely has bakery vibes, but it's also very elegant and clean looking. Keep in mind that it's not a sit-in bakery like Martha's, but a place to pick up baked goods. For the baked goods itself, oh man I wanted to eat every single item. They just looked absolutely terrific! Unfortunately, my dad and I were here to pick up a birthday cake for my aunt. Sadly, I do not remember the cake that I bought but it was in the display case and had this mousse/raspberry mix inside. Normally, we are always hesitant to bring cakes home because there are ALWAYS leftovers that we end up throwing away. However, this was different. The cake was SO DELECTABLE that there was only 1 slice leftover, which was quickly scarfed down the next day! I can't even describe how amazing this cake was, I've never had a cake this good. I definitely will be coming back to try their other goodies, and I think I found my new permanent spot for birthday cakes. It's a fantastic bakery, the people who work there are really nice, and the prices are exactly what you pay for--WORTH IT!

Updating my review re the lobster tails. I must have had an off day with the lobster tail cream not tasting up to its normal standard. I've had two lobster tails since then and they were great and no issue with the cream. Lulu's returns to 5 star quality for the best lobster tails in town.

I was so excited to finally stop by and try some of their desserts since this place got such good reviews. I was also told by friends to try this place because it's so close to home. I almost couldn't find this place because the sign kind of blended into the outside shop decor... Really if it wasn't for Google maps I would have totally missed it. When I finally walked in there were 2 small tables and a big display case for whole cakes on the back wall. The front display had individual cakes, cookies, desserts and cupcakes. It took me a good 5 minutes scanning the display cases to decide on what to buy. I ordered the rainbow cookies, the lulu (which was a lobster tail shaped cream puff) and the pumpkin cheesecake. Out of these 3 I liked the lulu the best. It tasted so light, creamy and not too sweet. The rainbow cookies and pumpkin cheesecake was a big disappointment. I would definitely come back to try other items and for their lulu, but I will not have such high hopes the next time.

This review is for the Fruit Tarts Only! I've ordered Fruit tarts from quite a few bakeries but Lulu's has got to be the best. The care that they put into the presentation of the beautiful tarts is just above and beyond. Everyone that tried this dessert was impressed. The variety of fruit is great compared to any other tarts i've tried, blackberries, plums, raspberries, kiwi, pineapple, grapes, strawberries, oranges and blueberries! My favorite part is also that they cover the crust of the tart in dark chocolate, so unique! ALSO, no crumbling when you cut into this baby. I can't wait to come and try some of their other treats! I feel like LuLu's will be rated among my top picks of bakeries in Queens.

Lulu's is a great Italian bakery, with coffee, and some tables for sit-down. Their baking and their Italian pastries and biscotti are perfect, their service is always great. When they came to the neighborhood I was hoping there would be enough business in that area to sustain an Italian pastry shop. There was!!!! They're doing great, and deserve to be.

Got a fruit tart and it was pretty good! It had the usual berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries) but also seasonal fruits like figs, peach, plums and kiwi. The prices here are more than reasonable. They also sell candles for $1.50/pack. I need to come back and try the other sweets. FYI, 6" cakes are made to order; they have 8" cakes in stock for same-day pickups.

The Good: The mini fruit tarts and the traditional cannoli. The glaze on the tarts was just sweet enough and complimented the freshness of the fruit perfectly. The crust was flaky and buttery, the custard was lightly sweetened and creamy without being too rich. The cannoli shell was crisp and the ricotta filling was smooth and not at all too sweet; even with the mini chocolate chips mixed in. The So-so: The lobster tail. The shell, while crispy, bordered on stale. It definitely could have been fresher. The filling... There was so much of it that it oozed out onto the parchment in the box. It was just everywhere. I couldn't finish it. The Bad: The carrot cake and the Nutella tart (?) (I can't remember the name). The carrot cake should be called walnut-carrot cake. There were so many walnuts the carrot seemed like an afterthought. A complete shame, because the cake itself was moist, had a nice crumb, and the cream cheese icing was delicious. I didn't finish it. The Nutella tart dessert had a "gourmet chocolate chip cookie" base, with a roasted banana-whipped cream topping, drizzled with Nutella. The cookie was salty. Yes. Salty. The baker must have used sea salt, which tends to be salty-er than regular table salt. While the roasted banana and Nutella drizzle were good, the salted cookie put me off, so I didn't finish this tart. I would go back for the fruit tarts and cannoli, as well as the packaging and customer service.

Ahh lulu why are you so close to my house. Ur bakery filled with deliciousness dessert it's just too much for my palate. The apple ring is deliciousness along with the coffee cake. Their apple crumb pie is a little on the sweeter side, but the little pastry are oh so delicious. The bread fresh and well done. The only thing is be carful the little pastries before you know it ur 30 dollars in. There is no prices just numbers I believe it's either by item perhaps between 2-4 a piece or by the pound. They have a wonderful selection. and trust me the apple ring for 10-13 is a good deal not too sweet. Try their cakes the red velvet is good. I had a friend that ordered a special cake it was beautiful. Definitely too dangerous to live next too if you love pastries.

My mom and me love Lulus! It's the perfect mother daughter spot to fulfill a sweet tooth craving and sit and enjoy a yummy treat with coffee. My usual order is either a cannoli, baby cheesecake, or tiramisu. I've also tried their cupcakes which are pretty yummy too. The rainbow cake is a little too sweet for me but if you like it sweet than it'll probably be worth it for you. Overall if you're ever in the area this bakery is worth a visit!

Pro: -Delicious red velvet cupcake. It's really moist. -SOOO many things to choose from. -Inexpensive. Considering how tasty their goods are, I was really surprised with the price. Con: -One of the worker had an attitude problem, but I'm still giving it five stars. -Tart was slightly over baked and the crust was a little too thick.

Go. Just go. Not nearby? Make time to go out of your way a bit, and GO! I cannot believe I haven't reviewed LuLu's. What a wonderful, delicious and perfect little gem! Check out their website for their story etc ... but, just be sure to GO! This isn't your generic neighborhood italian bakery. Sadly, "italian bakeries" have taken a beating in the 'burbs with their typical pastry and cookie selections. Much of the items sitting in the glass fridge, for who knows how long. Places using tons of sugar and low-grade chocolate to build a typical recipe (ie; mousse, cheesecake, eclair ...) without anything worth speaking of when it comes to taste. But NOT at LuLu's. We want beautiful, fresh, deliciously light or deliciously decadent desserts. We want earthy, wholesome, fresh and warm breads. We want hot, steamy cappucinos steamed fresh, and not out of a push-button machine. We want excellent service where local students work hard to keep things moving, while taking their time to explain everything. We want a clean, cozy bakery that offers lots of choices. This is it. This is THE bakery. Forget Martha's crowded, overpriced and honestly among the bottom for taste. Forget the pretty korean bakeries (Paris Baguette, Tour les Jours and Cafe Bene are great, albeit typically korean and overpriced. Fresh, gorgeous eats and a great spot to hang with a cup of coffee.) But for authentic, italian-american, there is NONE other in the area that can compete. Trust me. Please. And get the italian cheesecake. Promise? They do it so well. The way real cheesecake was meant to be. Fresh ricotta, dense, excellent crust. Best we've ever had. (Trumps Veniero's any day!) And promise me you'll go ahead and try everything else too?! Oh, say maybe the Apple Ring?! (Drool!) Everything is so reasonably priced and delightful. Always consistent - quality service and eats!

This place is ok, just ok. This is literally 5 minutes away from my house, but I would prefer to drive somewhere else for cakes. (Preferably Martha's country bakery in Bayside). Firstly, the baker/owner/ manager gave me a price quote of $900 for a birthday cake for my fiancé to feed 15 people. Like seriously , $900! And he was not nice at all. I just stormed out when he started to get nasty . Such a waste of time. The girls working there's are young , not even a smile just a flat hello when you enter the store. The cakes are just mediocre to me. If you are looking for fresh , delicious cakes , cookies and deserts. , just go to Martha's Country instead. You will definitely get your money's worth.

*This review is strictly for the Red Velvet Cake. Nice presentation but not the greatest red velvet cake. The sugary frosting mixed with the cream cheese filling did not go well together, like a bad marriage. Will I give this place another chance?

This place is dangerous. I want to try everything! I love the little mini cookies and cream and tiramisu cups! The lobster tails and bread pudding are pretty great as well.

I have gotten their fruit tarts and lobster tail and they are all tasty, but I really come here over and over for their vanilla cupcakes. They are my absolute favorite cupcakes I have tried in NY thus far! I don't care for all those fancy schmancy cupcakes with all the different flavors and toppings. I really enjoy a nice vanilla cupcake with delicious buttercream incing and this bakery does it to perfection every time! I've had the Crumbs, Magnolia's, Little Red Hen's, and various other establishments version of a vanilla cupcake and while some are tasty and worth having again...None of them top Lulu's in my opinion. I've turned a lot of people onto to this place for cupcakes and other treats and I highly recommend them for quality desserts. I mean I have people catching the BUS all the way from Jamaica, NY to this part of town just for some cupcakes, but it's well worth it! Their vanilla buttercream is some of the best I've ever tasted....Never change!

I came back to my old college stomping ground mainly to detox off the hustle of Brooklyn and Manhattan. I wanted some sweets to eat after my chipotle so I stopped in here. I picked up a huge red velvet cupcake cake here for a coworkers going away party. It was awesome! The shop workers are friendly and pretty young so I guess they try to hire high schoolers which is nice. The selection is a good mix of Italian sweets and some fancy styled cupcakes with a lot of flavors. I ended up getting a mochachino mini cup, 2 cannoli and some caramel chocolate cupcake. Prices are great! Only $5 and change. Sadly, the cannoli were the only tasty thing. The cupcake wasn't bad but rather generic Honestly, it tasted like grocery store bakery quality or those little hostess cupcakes. The mochachino thing was fine, nothing great. Everything was just fine, nothing more nothing less. Good prices and service help to round this out to a 3 stars.

Outside of cupcakes, I'm not the biggest dessert person, but Lulu's makes some of the most delicious pastries I've ever had. I recommend the red velvet cupcake, any of the muffins (especially the double chocolate cappucino muffin, or something like that), and the cannolis. The cannolis are ridiculously excellent... My friend loves the cream so much that she just asks for a cup of it, and they sell it to her! That stuff is delicious on waffles or just a spoon. Boyfriend says the coffee's pretty good as well. And while FZ claims racism, my boyfriend who is not white has never been discriminated against. The staff was just as friendly and sweet to him as they were to me and every other customer in the place. edit: I don't feel like writing an update, because everything in here still stands. I just want to add, GET THE OREO CUPCAKE, OR THE CARAMEL-FILLED CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE TOPPED WITH BUTTERCREAM FROSTING, DRIZZLED WITH CARAMEL AND SPRINKLED WITH COCONUT. Go get it right now.

The best bakery hands down. Excellent pastries and cakes. Even now though I am living now in Brooklyn, I still drive to LuLus to get birthday cakes, because nothing beats them!

A neighborhood mainstay that my father--a man who knows his desserts--would go to from time to time to get treats for the family. It remains solid with an amazing selection. It is hands down my favorite place to get rich dependable cakes with quality frosting (not that crap frosting that ruins cakes), as well as more small single-serve pastries than I can possibly remember or name, standbys and rarer things you don't see most places. You will never be in this shop alone; business is constant, beloved by this region of Queens. They have no set menu because you can describe it, and they can make it. Any cake filled with anything and frosted with anything. Try their cannoli cake, an original I haven't seen anywhere else, and incredible.

Best Tiramisu Cake ever!! They do not go cheap on the RUM, I tell yaaa... (NOTE: Not recommended for children though due to the abundance amount of RUM it contains.) I simply cannot and will not resist the great temptation of the sweet devil =D OHMEEGEE, the pastries are outstandingly amazing here. I cannot stress how much I loved each and every BITE I had. YUM-O-YUM!! PLEASE GIVE ME MORE and MORE and MORE!!! OPPS, I might become a fatty soon =X

I love this place The best coffee in the area, and great pastries and cakes. I stop in here almost every morning when I'm working in the field for my morning coffee, though sometimes I have to turn around and walk right back out because the line is so long and I don't have time. There's a growing epidemic of people in this city who seemingly don't have to go to work, yet can afford BMWs, jewelery, and fur coats, and as a result have nothing to do and have all the time in the world to take their time ordering dozens of breads and pastries well after those of us who actually have jobs would be at work on any given weekday morning. The girls here work hard to serve everyone as quickly as possible, despite the fact that a great many of the customers are just outright rude for no reason. I like to think that my good manners (what a concept) and my smile make their day just a little brighter :-) When you stop in, say hi to Evelyn!

I'm a cupcake fanatic and this place seriously has the best cupcakes. It's not too sweet and the fluffiness is just right. I've tried just about every cupcake they have and I've had no complaints thus far. The cheesecake is a different story. I didn't quite enjoy it; I thought it left a weird after-taste. I had a decaf iced coffee (black) once and it was great too. Also, the staff are always friendly and ready to take your order. The place is a bit small (only 2 tables for 2), so it's not ideal if you're looking to sit down and enjoy your goodies.

Before my job relocated we were conveniently located NEXT DOOOORRRRR !!!! how awesome is that. CAKES, MUFFINS, COOKIES ( my all time favorites ) , ICE COFFEE, HOT CHOCOLATE AND MUCH MORE. The place looks spotless!!!! The presentation as a whole is eye catching. Love this bakery. I am not a fan of sweets but I will never say no to the Delicious cookies from here. The selections is like a cookie buffet. My suggestion to all, try out lulus.

My boyfriend took me to this bakery and bought me a Lobster Tail filled with light, fluffy cream. It. Was. Amazing. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed my pastry! The service was also very good. The lady who helped me was extremely friendly and polite. Going to that bakery really made my day!

My review applies to the cheesecake only. (I'm devouring a slice as I'm write this review.) I'm not usually a big fan of traditional, Italian pastries, but this cheesecake is yums in the tums. The cheesecake filling is fluffy as opposed to compact. It's not too sweet, which is great because it allows me to savor the cream over the sugar. The crust's texture is more compact, not crumbly. It goes great against the cheesecake. Good place to pick up desserts for a dinner or potluck.

LuLu's Bakery is a wonderful place to go to for all sorts of pastries, cookies, and desserts, but this review is about their specialty cakes. I can not express how happy I was with the Poker themed cake they made for my aunt's 50th birthday. It was extraordinary. She was speechless when she saw it. Not only were the decorations awesome, but the cake was delicious as well (vanilla cake with French cream and raspberry jam...so good).

Love that there's an awesome bakery such as LuLu's by my house. They do the pricing by weight so you can switch it up and throw in some variety into the box. I love the lobster tails, mini rum cakes (Super strong in flavor), Tiramisu is moist, and Cannolis are just absolutely delicious. Wait, that's everything I ordered.. I guess everything I tried was great. Service is fast and friendly and everything looks and tastes fresh. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they didn't hear me ordering more, I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box and there weren't any carrot cake. But like I said, you get charged by the weight, so it's not like I got charged for their mistake. Highly recommend this place.

This is our go-to place for fine pastries. All their baked good are simply the best in Queens. I see some people comparing them to Martha's. I think Lulu's is WAY better. Not too sweet, not to heavy, just right! My sister-in-law who lives in Pennsylvania always asks for Lulu's rainbow cookies when we go visit. She said their's IS the best! Kudos to Lulu's. Their service is also top notch. Always with a smile and courteous. If you haven't visited them yet, you are missing out on a real treat!

My sister has raved about how good LuLu's Red Velvet cupcakes are, so today I decided to find out for my self. I must admit the Red Velvet cupcake was indeed good. It was moist, fluffy and very tasty. I also had a few of their diabetic cookies. The sugar free chocolate cookie and almond bar were great. I especially liked that it didn't leave a nasty after taste. The sugar free Cheese Cake with a blueberry in the center was okay. LuLu's Bakery offers a variety of dessert, pastries, cookies, cakes, and coffees. LuLu's is very small and gets quite crowded, they do offer a sitting area so that you may sit down and enjoy your treats but they only have two tables that sits two. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stop in for more of their diabetic cookies. I just hope they add on to the selection because they only offered 4 kinds of cookies.

I decided to give this place another shot after being served stale cupcakes. Hooray! There were not stale this time. I was pleasantly surprised. Owner was concerned with my other review and sent me an apologetic message. I'm glad to hear about a place that cares about their customers. Cupcakes were Delish and the staff was friendly.

I love this place. It's kinda pricey if you get pastry by the pound. It is so yummy so I treat myself once a month. The fruit tarts, cannolis, and eclairs r yummy and fresh! I've been to a bunch of bakeries and the pastries taste old or full of preservatives so they can sit on the shelves for days. Lol. Not this place. There is always a line and the product moves. Yummy! Can't wait to go next month for my treat.

Shop looks newly renovated, clean and very organized. Price was reasonable and so many selections, definitely will drop by if in the area. We ordered lobster tail and fruit tart and total came out to around 4.50 Service was good. Received in a small box with lobster tail was huge and they were generous with the cream stuffing, but the crust was a bit too crunchy. fruit tart was just right. shop 4/ pastry 4/ service 4

My new gym happens to be right down the block from Lulu's, and I've been having such a hard time resisting myself from picking up baked goods so all my hard work wouldn't go to waste. The hazelnut cannolis are AMAZING, the éclair - not so much.

First off I want to explain that I love this bakery I have been going for years . This time they have disappointed me because I have ordered a custom cake , which we all know that is not cheap. I sent in 2 view of the cake via email and it was incorrect when I received it . When the woman brought out the cake the was a printed picture attached to it and she said " it's look like the picture " WRONG. You only got the top view . I had to actually pull the sent email on my phone to prove I sent multiple view. Needless to say the baker was in and I was beyond disappointed . I wanted this to look perfect and instead it just look regular and I coulda saved myself the money. The girls working there apparently cannot print 2 view of a cake . Attention to detail was poor . Nothing coulda been fixed so I took the cake and left and would never ever recommend speaking with the "girls " to place an order . I should have spoke with the baker directly .

I order a chocolate mousse cake from here after seeing all these positive reviews, and since my favorite bakery Canielle in East Elmhurst was closed for a recent renovation. Cake was a bit dry. After trying Canielle, my standard has been raised. Couple of young girls work there and the service was mediocre. Couple of the girls were chatting up with an old guy that appears to be a frequent visitor to the bakery, and completely disregard me as I waited there for several minutes to pick up my cake.

My spouse and I just found out about this place about a month ago and have already visited it 6-7 times. We used to be a Martha's patron (Bell Blvd), but this one is much closer to where we live and it's cheaper! They don't charge an extra fee to be 'seated and served', which I find appalling. So far we've tried the rainbow cookies, rainbow cake, dolce misu and a hazelnut cake, which were pretty good The chocolate canoli's are amaaazing! Our all time favorite combo is the banana boat and three c's chocolate cake. The three c's is my personal favorite because it's not too over-powering as a chocolate cake. But together with the banana boat it is complete utter heaven! We've bought a pound of mini pastries to bring to a dinner party and it did not disappoint. We have also bought a whole nutella brownie that is the size of a pie and have ate it all on our own. Yep, no occasion needed, just a sweet tooth. We will be going back for as long as they're in business to try every singe pastry, because let's face it, everything looks so good. We haven't tried their coffees and teas yet but we will eventually. Also the bread looks super tasty as well. We recommend this place without any reservations!

This place can get addictive. Didn't come here with a shopping list, just needed to find some dessert for some friends over tonight. That was the mistake. If you come here without a list, the selections available will drive you over the edge. Ended up buying 17 pieces of dessert for 4 people. I thought I held back. The service staff was very attentive and would definitely come back to finish off the rest of what I wanted to try.

So I read the Yelp reviews regarding this bakery and was excited to try their red velvet cupcake that someone raved about. I went to the Bakery around 3pm in the afternoon. There was a total of 3 customers (including me) and about 7 people behind the counter. It took 10 minutes for my order to be taken and if these people moved any slower a turtle could beat them in a race. Automatically I was turned off by the slow and poor customer service.I should have walked out. Instead I thought if the red velvet is delicious maybe I would deal with the bad service. So I finally try the cupcake. It is dry, and the cream cheese frosting tasted as if a minimal amount of cream cheese was used. The problem with many business' is they try to cut corners. If you use the best ingredients your product will reflect it. Mediocrity is no way to keep customers or provide baked goods. This was a very disappointing experience. Don't bother going to this bakery.

Hubby is a HUGE Yankees fan so as a surprise gift on our wedding day, I wanted a NY Yankee-inspired grooms cake. I've ordered a couple of birthday cakes from Lulu's so from the beginning, I knew that their the ONLY bakery that I want to work with. The first time I met Charlie, he was very friendly and accommodating to my requests. I showed him photos of cakes that had parts I like which he incorporated into this one beautiful design. It looked good on paper and it was perfect in reality! I loved the colors to the minute details of the cake. Everyone admired it and even took photos WITH IT! I've seen cakes that look good but tasted blah but this one tasted better than it looked! I went by Charlie's suggestion of having it made with chocolate cake and caramel filling and OMG it is SOOOO GOOODDDDD! It was that good that guests at our wedding were requesting for extra pieces to take home but it was gone by the end of the reception. It was a pleasure working with Charlie and the staff and I highly recommend his bakery for all your cake needs! BTW, I've read an earlier negative review about their staff and from my personal-Asian-experience, I have never (even for a split second) been treated any less than Caucasian-customers. Everyone from the owner (Charlie) to the front people, and even to the bakers I've seen working at the back who smiled at me when they saw me staring at what their doing, were friendly. ==== added 8/24: I ordered a Chess/Boxing inspired birthday cake for my father-in-law and it was a big hit! Everyone admired the design, a lot have asked if the gloves was real) and everyone took a piece of cake home. It was in chocolate cake with mocha filling *YUMMM*

I have been going to Lulus for almost 10 years. This bakery is clean and the desserts are just a slice of heaven. I do have to admit that their custom cake orders are a bit over priced but for the most part come out delicious. The baker is not the most friendliest of folks but the girls are extremely sweet. Must try the fruit tart that is my favorite!

This review is based on the COOKIE PLATTER alone. So I received about 729847520 cookies for Christmas, home made, store bought, whatever. And then there was a platter from Lulu's. Oh my goodness. These cookies are out-freakin'-standing. I could taste freshness in every single type of cookie, filling, and icing. They have the perfect combination of soft and classic-Italian-bakery-crumbly. They're buttery, yet absolute do not leave a filmy taste in your mouth. Definitely not overbearingly sweet, either. Even the jam in the sandwich cookies was amazing! The strawberry filling was sweet, thick, smooth and full of quality flavor. Chocolate fillings were just as great. Even though I haven't stepped inside Lulu's to say anything about the service, the product absolutely speaks for itself. The platter I got had about 2 dozen different types of cookies, and I can not stress enough how FRESH and tasty each and every one was. Now to try the cakes and connoli's..

I was clueless about Queens. This place was something I just imagine on sitcoms. But since I was visiting long lost relatives in between business trips, I had to rely on locals for advice on getting a birthday cake. I.e. I was in a rush. Service was friendly and everyone was nice, but I got teased a lot about my Canadian-Californian accent. I can not imagine pronouncing "hawk" or "talk" as "hawak" or "tawak" instead of "hock" or "tock". In any case, I got my cake...it was tasty. Loved it here.

Just when I thought Lulu's could not get any better they come up with a great idea for breast cancer awareness month: B@@BIE cupcakes, small and/or large! With 15% of proceeds going to the American Cancer Society those are some calories and money well spent. Though I do think they should do boobies other than vanilla... Chacun à son goût... And as always the service is bright and cheery and makes having gone all that way a welcome detour in our day. youtube.com/watch?v=eGMP…

I frequently come to this bakery. The servers are really friendly and the service is fast. Today I got the fruit tart, tiramisu, caramel machiato, carrot cake, cannoli, choc cannoli minis. The 6 samplers were 12.50/lb and it came out to be 9 bucks. This might be the beginning of my cannoli addiction but will not try the other goods again.

Total waste of time. My mother's 60th birthday fell on the Saturday after Thanksgiving this year. I wanted something special for her cake but anticipated problems making a custom order, since most bakeries are busy filling orders for pies and such the week of Thanksgiving. After reading all the raves about Lulu's, I called them two weeks in advance to make sure they could accommodate me. The girl on the phone was very nice and assured me that they only needed 4 days advance notice. So if I placed my order a week before Saturday before they could have it ready in time? Yes definitely. Saturday evening I trek into Queens and walk into Lulu's only to be told "Sorry, we're not taking custom orders for the holiday week." This information might have been more useful on the phone, when I called specifically to ask if they could fill a Thanksgiving week order. Thanks for wasting half my day and leaving me scrambling for a last-minute cake. If you have a birthday, wedding or other occasion, I'd go someplace where they are more organized and value your time.

I am sooooo glad this place is near where I live. They know how to make their italian pastries! I use to like going to Ferrara in the city and also Joe's Sicilian for my rainbow cake but this place is WAY better taste and value wise. There is so much to try and I get overwhelmed on what to buy when I come in here. Good thing for the miniature versions. You can buy the minis by the pound and get an assortment without feeling guilty. This place is definitely a treat and great for when you have guests. I particularly love the rainbow cake, cannoli, and carrot cake. My husband loves the Ba Ba Rhum cannoli, and red velvet cupcake. You must visit this place if you are in the mood for some dessert.

Lulu's has a wide variety of Italian-American desserts, but nothing substantially excellent. Everything at Lulu's is anything that you may find in every other Italian-bakery, or... even at the bakery section at the supermarket. Their displays are nice, and really sell their items based on looks.... I found out the hard way when i bought an entire strawberry shortcake that tasted like a Duncan Hines yellow cake mix, frosting and strawberries... it does the job in making an impression at a pot luck, or party... but not really worth it if you want to wow your guests based on flavor and originality. Good place to satisfy a sweet tooth, but not a sophisticated sweet tooth.

I've been a loyal patron since they've opened and have not been let down once. Their mini pastries like the little tiramisu and the fruit tarts are outstanding. The cookies and muffins are fresh. And their cakes. I just cannot say enough about how GOOD their ready made and made to order cakes are. I get them every year for my kid's birthdays. They can make them just about any style you want. They even used gold icing on my son's star wars birthday cake! What attention to detail! One more thing before I end my love fest. They make a killer latte. quick update today 9/30/11: i ran today and on my 3rd mile felt dehydrated. who gave me a nice glass of water, no questions asked and told me to take care of myself? the lovely lady behind the lulu's display case, that's who! they are so sweet! and i'm not white!

Agreed with all the reviews - definitely one of the best Italian bakeries in Queens and what makes it FIVE stars is that it's quality with a great price! Great piece of cake just $3.50Surely - Ferrara Cafe is top notch in the city but I really think Lulu's quality matches it with the lower price. EVERYTHING here tastes great. Favorites include: Tiramisu, cannolis, all the little fruit cakes, napoleans and after reading reviews - definitely look forward to get my hand on a slice of Dolce Mi Su Cake asap! If you live around the area, definitely worth a trip - you won't regret it!

I am a huge fan of sweets and desserts. I have a love- hate relationship with this place. i love it because there are so many choices, and literally everything is delicious. I absolutely hate this place, because if you're like me - this place will make you gain weight.....sigh The workers are very friendly and welcoming. Their tiramisu is decent; however, their coffee is perfect and I am a huge fan of their lobster tail, cannoils, and danishes.

My wife and I have been coming here since... well, probably a few days after they first opened some 10+ years ago. We have tried so many of their goodies and have found only one clunker; the croissants. However, after a few tries, they nailed it. Wow! A business that listens? Other than the holidays, wait times were no more than 10 minutes and that is on Saturday mornings when EVERYONE ( it seems ) wants a cappuccino. I wish they could expand a little and add some more tables and chairs so we'd never have to worry about where to sit when pretending to be in some Italian cafe, you know, over there! I really should write Lulu's a crappy review so it doesn't get any more crowded!

Lulus italian american bakery in the best and cleanest bakery i have come across.. and coming from an italian family i am always looking for close to homemade taste and this comes hand in hand with my old fasion italian family taste. I've been here a few times and loved everything. I'm a huge fan of canolis and their canolis are great. Their lobster tails are light and flaky too. All of their cake and cupcake displays look incredibly well done and if I could, I would buy all of them and hog them all for myself. It's also not too far from my house -just a bus ride away! I love that Lulu's has such a wide variety of things to choose from, even though it makes it that much harder to decide on what I want, haha. But at least I know what I'll want to try next time I visit!

LOVE this place. Amazing cannoli (I prefer the hazelnut). They price by weight for most goods so I mix and match a box-full everytime I go in. Good service, be prepared for lines, no matter which day. PS. there is a lot of alcohol in the Tiramisu so be careful not to share with kids.

Best bakery in the area. The miniature desserts are the best. I always pick up an assorted box as a gift. We've been coming to LuLu's for more than 12 years and we've never had anything that wasn't perfect. From a simple loaf of bread to elaborate birthday cakes. I just wish they had some tables and chairs, but unfortunately, the space doesn't allow.

Service: friendly but...well, today was my first time there, and I felt like I was rushed to order something. I wanted to try different things but ended up with the typical rainbow cookies and connoli's. Both tasted really good, so that makes up for the rush. I'm thinking of trying their cakes...but I'm not sure how much it costs? Wish someone would put up a menu~ =) Update: For my B-day I got cheesecake! Since Eileen's oreo cheesecake sold out, I decided to try my local bakery~ The Strawberry Cheesecake ($24) looks so pretty on the outside, but tastes a bit plain on the inside. It needed more strawberry flavor~ =o And the texture is more like Juniors than the fluffy Eileens. 'o' The quantity was very satisfying, but the quality needs something special. =) Next I tried the CANON! It was great~ lots of chocolate chips, pieces of nuts, and was chocolate covered. If your looking for "diversity" in a connoli, than this is it! x) Can't wait to try more!

I love their coffee! I get their iced coffee even during winter time, that's how much I like it. They pretty much give you this humongous cup for like two bucks and won't divulge the secret to what makes it so great. Their baked goods are good too, I love getting their cakes for special occasions.

I've been going Lulu's bakery for a while now. Every time I walk in, the staff there is always so pleasant. I buy a big order of breakfast once a week from them, and they have yet to mess up my huge orders. My favorite pastry there is the lemon cheesecake squares, its divine. My favorite breakfast choice is the peach muffin and apple muffin (the cappuccino muffin is also really good). I ordered a cake from Charlie for my husbands 30th birthday. I liked the idea of making a cake that looked like a whiskey bottle. When I picked up the cake, I could not believe my eyes, it looked so AMAZING! I had my brother take it to the restaurant as it was a surprise for my husband, and when he saw the cake he was really blown away! Not only that, it was delicious, the inside was a cream cheese icing and raspberry icing with chocolate sponge cake. My friends and family could not stop talking about the cake. I love going to Lulu's Bakery. No matter which customer comes in, they are always treated the same way, always greeted with a smile. I highly recommend this bakery!

Wonderful Queens Bakery. They did our wedding cake. Three tier yellow cake, soaked in coconut milk with chocolate filling. AMAZING!

Ordered a tiered cannoli cake and a napolean cake for my dad's 50th birthday party and they were absolutely delicious!! I'm not usually a fan of cannoli cakes but this was the best cake I've ever had. Both cakes were extremely fresh and moist. I will definiely order my next cakes from them!

I was craving something sweet and when I saw this shop I had to stop in. They had so many different choices I was literally overwhelmed. I ended up getting a mixture of baked goodies and they were AMAZING!! Everything tasted like it was just made. I would recommend stopping by if you want a little treat. I will definitely go back to try some of their cakes.

I have a confession to make. As a long time Bay Terrace resident, I never got over the closing of the Cake Box, a bakery that was so well known for it's delicious bread, pastries, pies and cakes. In the last 2 years of Cake Box, trouble was afoot and they actually wound up with a million health violations but prior to that Cake Box spoiled me for life for any other bakery. As with American Idol and shows of that ilk, for years I have been auditioning bakeries to see who would win top prize of my new favorite bakery. Instead of a recording contact, I would gladly offer the winner my "bakery dollars" and loyalty. It's been disappointing. I might enjoy a blueberry pie at one but nothing else was good or the cheesecake was great but their danish was horrible. It's been hit or miss over the years until I stopped in Lulu's who are not even in my neighborhood. I've been here before and liked it but didn't remember them. Well, I do now and it's my new go to bakery. An apple crumb pie like I've never experienced, lobster tails with the freshest of whipped cream, raspberry cheese danishes that are to die for and even their bread is good (love their brioche). Lulu's comes awfully close to my beloved Cake Box. Now if only they would make jelly donuts, I would give them 6 stars.

Ok, so I tried that coffee flavored cake with ganache and the 5 other things turned out to be caramel and um I don't know.. It was the FIRST cake to go of the 3 that were there.. Like GONE. everyone was eyeing it. The outside had the ganache frosting oh my Lord so yummy looking. I had the second piece since I got it and it was reallllly good! My only complaint is that it was just too sweet.. Don't add the caramel! Take it out and it will be addicting. Oh who am i kidding, it's addicting, just don't give me diabetes!

I ordered a pound of cookies from Lulu. Price was fine. Service was mehhh. People seem to rave about it, but I definitely wouldn't call it the best Italian Bakery in Queens... It was okay. Nothing special.

LuLu's has the most delicious Chocolate Danish's in the world. You have to go early in the morning to get the chocolatey gooey filling. The only problem is that some days I want to take home about 5-6 of these, and they are all out. They make like 4-5 every morning. They should make much more.

Scored a cassatina & a cannoli for $5 (they enforce a $10 card minimum) after not taking a # near the front door (it was slow*). Gifted the latter and the former ended up being a sugar bomb of addictive pistachio marzipan enveloping a soft cake layer & cannoli cream, topped off with candied orange peel. It bordered on but didn't venture into cloying territory, probably better as a split-in-half-and-spread-the-enjoyment-over-more-than-one-sitting kinda indulgence (though I downed it in one prolonged sitting). Given that this is my first cassatina experience, I have no benchmark by which to assess it, but can only assume that this is at least a mediocre expression of the form (which only yields 52,100 Google results, indicating there are many spelling variations, little interest, or minuscule spread into the web-food culture). (Though there ended up being a surprisingly copious # of spaces directly across from the storefront on Union Tpke, I parked around the corner on Chevy Chase.)

Found this place after searching for a local bakery in the area and decided to give it a try from reading the reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience. Got the Mocha layer cake for my lil sister's bday and what a disappointment! Cake was so dry and sugary, threw out more than half of the cake. In addition to that, staff wasn't that friendly at all. Not sure if it had anything to do with our race, but right before me she got into an argument with the previous customer and took it out on me I guess. Anyways, this is what I have experienced, which seems very unlikely of this place judging from all these positive reviews.

Lulu's is one of my favorite Italian bakery. They have mini cannolis, and mini verison pastries to mix in a box on-the go. Everything is made the same day and fresh. Their cheese cakes are flavorable and tasty.

Growing up I always remembered going to the Bakery with my Grandfather and the wonderful aromas within and the great tasting treats we would get. Now that I am more than grown up (at least on the outside) I have continued my search to find the perfect Bakery that brings me back to those days of childhood. My search has finally come to an end and I need not look any further as when I opened the front door to Lulu's I was immediately taken by the aroma and thrown back into time. Lulu's is Hands Down The Best Bakery I have been to and serves traditional pastries which are created with passion making for the best tasting treats one could want. If I ever find a bakery better than Lulu's I will probably be dreaming. The only thing I am glad is that Lulu's isn't closer otherwise I would be in there every day getting something tasty.

Yes... I am addicted to this place. The pastries are delicious.. Deliciosas!!!! the address should be fresh meadows. Even though, I eat a lot of them they don't make me feel guilty because they are small. Yes they do have big pieces but the small ones make me happy. I walk there and start pointing at pastries that I don't care to learn their names... any way it would be a one eat stand!!! Lol Bottom lines... go in other small pastries, indulge yourself, and eat them all at home reading your favorite book or watching your favorite movie.

My best friend and I stop by here whenever we meet up, for a cannoli, coffee and a couple little cookies or some of the random desserts they have. Never been let down once, everything that I've tried has been tasty and inexpensive =]

I first discovered this bakery in 2006. I think I have sampled everything they create at least once. Simply the best. You will do no better in the area.

Lulus is fantastic. I have not purchased anything from here that I did not like. The staff are helpful, efficient, and polite. The prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for and the quality is amazing. Whenever I bring Lulus home I am almost guaranteed some lovin from the wife, so thats a plus.

I want to thank the master baker at Lulu's. He went far and beyond to make my wifes purse cake beautiful and inexpensive. He was extra friendly and made my wife's birthday wonderful. He is talented and is the real "cake boss".

I've only tried the cannoli's here. I feel like it needs a bit more chocolate chips but still yummy! Services here is ok, pretty attentive. They ask you what you want as soon as you get in..

The cakes here are pretty good. Some are too sweet for me though. But I loved the black forest cake. Oh yum

they are pretty damn good.... the coffee is better than dunk or starbucks, the cakes/pastries/cookies are standard italian (ie great), the staff are very friendly... the location and store size are the biggest problem for me... i usually park at rite-aid a few doors down.

I'm not one to write reviews but this place is amazing! A friend took me and my son to try this place. The chocolate canolis and baby cheese cake were the best I have ever had. My wife and I had just gone to the world famous Carlos's Bakery in Hoboken NJ the day before and Lulu's is just as good! I absolutely recommend this bakery!

Very yummy. Try the French cream lobster tails and the rainbow cookies. Delicious little pastries as well. Have not had a chance to order an entire cake from here yet but I will soon for somebodies birthday. Service is always kind and appears very clean. Can't ask for much more in a place.

Absolutely one of best Italian bakeries I go to. I come here every time I need to pick something up for the holidays or just a pick me up. Literally, everything is just freaking amazing. But I MUST rave about their rainbow cookies. Some places just can't get the damn rainbow cookies, but lulus definately got the rainbow cookies to a T! If your ever around fresh meadows, swing by lulus. Staff are always generous. I remember one Thanksgiving, I ordered so much and they gave me a free apple pie.

Fantastic bakery. I'm not Italian but wev'e had some Italian friends from Bronx NY sample them in Michigan and said this stuff is great. Recommend the cheese cake! Even a simple coffe and roll was great. Had pastries in Little Italy, not even in the same league. Wish I lived in NY, but stop here everytime we visit Queens.

Lulu's is the only place I go for tiramisu. The tiramisu cake I always buy is a hit at all the birthday parties. Mascarpone is fresh, generous with the ladyfingers, not too sweet, clean espresso flavor with a hint of rum. I think I need to go back to Lulu's soon.. There is a never ending flow of customers in and out of the shop but the ladies getting your orders are always pleasant and efficient. I've never sampled the other baked goods here but judging by the brisk business here, they're probably not disappointing either.

cant believe that no one is rev iewing this bakeshop. their cookies/pastries/desserts are very good. it is a hidden gem right in union turnpike. expect a line on the weekends....guess thats the reason why no one is yelping about this place. it is already crowded as it is.

when in new york, i always make the time to visit this bakery....i will certainly admit that the variety of baked goods is excellent....as is the quality. unfortunately, i heard a story today regarding a long time regular customer, which made me both sad and quite angry. she (the customer) had merely requested a box to hold an injured bird(it was outside in the street) the owner actually had the nerve to flatly deny either giving her a small box...or "letting" her simply purchase just a box. i find is astonishing that there could be such a heartless individual. ...so no matter how good the "goodies" are....this place will never again be patronized by me. what an inhumane owner.
