This local Italian bakery is a family owned place that has been around for generations (and its baked goods, too). They are known for several of their cookies and pastries but my favorite thing by far are their buttery Italian cookies. (I don't know how anyone walks in without buying any - the smell alone is gasp-worthy.) They are absolutely to die for. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Around the holidays, they tend to sell out of some of their bestsellers more quickly so definitely get there earlier in the day if you're trying to have a nice array. I don't get back to Rochester often but when I do, I make a point to go to Gruttadauria.

Just picked up a white cake and some delicious cookies. All of it was AMAZING. Whole family loved it!True Italian Pastry. My new cake/pastry home! Cookies, Cakes, Cannoli.

I've been visiting Gruttadauria's for quite a while and it never disappoints. The chocolate fudge cake they make is always a favorite and their cookies are absolutely delicious. The price is fair and I like the general ambiance of the bakery itself. Also, the Lemon Ice is out of the world tasty. My only complaint is usually there is only one poor girl at the front counter who has to cash, weigh, and pick out everybody's cookies. It can take a while for you to receive your goods, but it's always worth it! One thing to mention...when you walk in...it's just like getting hit with a wall of delicious smelling heaven. Take a visit and get a box of cookies. You will not regret it at all.

I can always count on gruttadauria's! Best cannolis and Italian cookies in Rochester! If I ever want the best, I will make the drive out to Greece and go to them because it's worth it. Wide variety of so many different cookies, and they are all so soft, moist and flavorful!
