If you get there in the morning the bagels , rolls and other things like donuts are fresh. They all come out of the oven fresh. I have found the fruit salad, yogurt with fruit really great. The juice bar is excellent its fast, fresh and the prices are very good. This place is a great little place on the Upper Eastside.

Not the best bagel I've ever had but i would go back. I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Normally I've had chive cream cheese, never scallion and truthfully it wasn't that great. There were some sections were the scallion wasn't really chopped up so it made for a few annoying bites. The flavor of it was good, if they had chopped up the scallion a little more finely, I think it would've made it more enjoyable.

Got me once. They're selling rolls with holes in them and calling them bagels. The "bagels" and other baked goods look to be about the quality of what you'd find at a street cart. This place is well disguised as a bagel shop, minus the bagels.

There is a process to ordering successfully here: - Walk in (its tiny) and go all the way to the back near the beverage refrigerators (there will likely be people standing all over the place - they are waiting for their items to be ready) - Someone will ask you what you want. Order it. Repeat it just to make sure. - Pay - Wait (usually 4-5 mins) I guess the hardest part is just the first step. I've seen people get confused and walk out. This place, for me, has a solid ham, egg and cheese. That's my go to order every time. Usually a Sat or Sun morning. The lady switches it sometimes with a bagel and cream cheese. Bagels are hot (soft on inside and just the right "crunch" on outside), eggs are cooked right and the cheese is very melt-y. Price is around $3.50 if I remember correctly. There is a $10 min on CCs. Perfect first step to recovery.

Came early in the morning and my bagel was stale... They must have recycled day old. So disappointing.... You're are a bagel shop and can't hit a home run on the main product. I don't think I will try again...

I'm going to teach you some Yiddish. Ready? Repeat after me: "A shanda fur di goyim." That means, roughly "an embarrassment for the Jews in front of gentiles." Some things are so shameful that they make us all look bad: Eliot Spitzer. Misogynistic fundamentalists. Hot & Fresh bagels. Not necessarily in that order. These bagels are appalling. They are ROLLS, people, and not even good rolls: dry, crumbly, and tasteless. Garlic was the only flavor discernible in the Everything bagel, and it was a harsh, bitter flavor. The food in the cold case seemed just as misbegotten. I had to look away from a dried-out-looking knish in a Technicolor- orange hue. If people think this is Jewish food . . . oy. We need this like a hole in the head.

This is my go to spot for bagels near my apartment and happens to be the closest. I've really only tried one other place, but don't really feel the need to explore any further after trying the bagels from here. The bagels are baked to the point where i don't feel the need to toast them. Service is very fast even when theyre busy on the weekends. Love their cream cheeses too, haven't had one that I didn't like. It's no ess-a-bagel, but it's a solid neighborhood spot.

I always get the exact same thing - turkey and swiss on a wheat bagel with no dressings and a sugar free Red Bull. The quality is reliable and meal SO filling and enjoyable. It's EXTREMELY difficult to place an order over the phone, as I am usually ordering for more than one person - the process of explaining your orders and providing a credit card number is SO incredibly frustrating. Even in person, it's a little difficult. However, they've not messed up an order too badly and the deliciousness negates the frustration. I would still recommend ordering in person if you're able - besides, delivery times have been upwards of 45 minutes to deliver across the street. We were just being really lazy. Regardless, you'll get your grub and it'll be good.

Decent little bagel nook on the UES. A little on the pricey side, and I still think Bagel Express and Tal Bagels are better, but their bagels have a nice hard outside and soft chewy inside. They also don't go stingy on the butter or cream cheese which is a good thing. Service is pretty quick here too. It is the kind of place where you jump in to get your bagel and coffee on the go. No place to really sit down and eat - just a small counter area. They also offer some muffins and other pastries here, but not a huge assortment.

ugh just so unsanitary its disgusting. i saw an employee pick a pepper out of the salad fixing station with his bare hand and eat it... I walked out, Never again!!!

Make sure you have patience if calling for delivery. You have to repeat what you say about 3 times (it never fails)...but it's relatively fast once order is in. They have turkey bacon which is cool...or just turkey whatever floats your boat.

The only item I've had at Hot & Fresh Bagels is their smoothie, which was not very good. Way too whole-milk-y than fruity, look elsewhere if you are looking for a good smoothie. I'll probably not be back for their bagels, either, since I noted that their prices were not very friendly.

I am pretty new to the neighborhood and these are the best bagels I have found so far. Service is quick, even with a long line. The everything bagel was crispy and flavorful, the plain was just okay.

Adding another star. Working my way up to 5 stars but bagels are serious business, people, and I have only been to two bagel places in the neighborhood so far so I need to conduct further research. I will say though that happiness to me is a perfectly executed bagel breakfast sandwich- and Hot & Fresh truly delivered on that when I needed it most (read: extremely hungover, returning home from a crazy night in the Bronx...) in fact I must have had hangover face on that morning because one of the guys working there looked at me and said "let me guess- you want a bacon egg and cheese sandwich". YES, yes I do. It was beyond delicious- piled with egg and melted in my mouth. I think I said something ridiculous yet awesome on the way back like "I want my next birthday cake to be one giant breakfast sandwich from that place". But seriously. Will be returning. Oh yeah and they deliver. So what if I'm only a 5 minute walk from there, sometimes I might just want someone to show up at my door with a bag full of those sandwiches for me. Sounds like heaven.

Bagels and service are amazing. We get chicken salad sandwiches from this place every Thursday and always get bagels from here when we want them for breakfast. The guys behind the counter are fast, polite, and professional. Since we've been going there a while, they remember what we want when we walk in and seem genuinely happy to see us. The ONLY reason this doesn't get five stars is because the muffins are not very good. The bagels and employees are fantastic!

They discriminate. No woman or parent should ever give this place business. Repeatedly if you have a stroller they try to make you leave your baby outside in the street, which I won't do. I often go in by myself and can witness this second hand, but today was first hand. I am only there weekends. Everyone waiting had already ordered and I am patiently waiting, with my baby/stroller. Then some folks come in behind me and the tall man appearing in charge tells me to move to the side so they can order. I tell him that I have not yet ordered and he says he knows! So I step to the side and they start taking their orders. And I ask what is going on, he tells me to stay to the side WITH THE STROLLER and he will get to me! Move out of the UES if you don't like strollers! This is their discouragement to having strollers in their establishment and it is sexist and discriminatory and I will be reporting them to the city.

3.75 Stars. I'm a Bay Area transplant, and haven't had that many NY bagels yet. Actually, I've only had bagels from this place because it's 30 seconds away. I was shocked to find that it was better than Noah's, the touted corporate king of bagelology in CA and other non native bagel lands. The lox, roma, onion and cream cheese bagel was so wonderfully thick. They piled on the lox. So much so, that I took some out, ate it as an appetizer, then ate my bagel as the main course. They also have muffins, pastries and the usual drinks. A toasted bagel with cream cheese is $1.85. That's cheaper than Noah's. There isn't a lot of seating...only a couple counter/stools.

This place is amazing. I get my breakfast there every weekday morning, and go there occasionally for lunch. Bagels are fresh, toasted perfectly and never burnt. Their lunch sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Everything is very reasonably priced (read: affordable enough to include in a daily routine). The service is incredible. Those guys are so friendly and efficient, even when they are packed and have six guys running around behind the counter. They all know to expect me in the morning and comment when I come in late, haha. Louis especially is wonderful: he knows my order, and today when I was paying in change, he included the chocolate croissant I sometimes get when I can afford it for free. Totally hope this entices you to go! I want them to become so successful that they are forced to open a new location in Brooklyn, haha. Practical Stuff: Minimum purchase of $10 to use credit card; line forms in the back, by the drink coolers; they use Boar's Head deli meats/cheeses; lots of vegetarian options (not sure about vegan stuff, though I'd bet a lot of it is vegan-friendly)

The only place that charges tax on coffee!!! Bagels are okay, but not as good as Ess-a-Bagel.

I love this bagel place. I've found that many places in the area don't do bagel sandwiches, so to find a place where I can get a great egg and cheese on a hungover Sunday morning is phenomenal. I just wish they had a better cheese selection. I'll agree with T.F. and his post below - the layout of the store is awful, so plan on taking your breakfast home.

This place is yummmmm. Not only did I run into a friend from college here this morning, but I also have indulged in bagels here the past three days. So good I have gone back every day for three days! The bagels are amazing and the service is quick and friendly. Yummm!!!!

Not as good as Tal Bagels, but they definitely come in second for the UES near my apartment. The bagels are decent sized, fresh, and they have whole wheat everything bagels. They are the kind of bagels that have the crunch on the outside and are soft and fluffy in the middle. The service is pretty fast, and overall I think this is a good place to grab a bagel on a Sunday morning. They do get a bit crowded, but they have a good line system going, so it doesn't take too long.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
