Think this is the same place I ordered from last night but on Seamless, it's known as Asian Kitchen. The address is the same so I suppose Asian Kitchen may just be a new name or a reorganized entity. Seamless said their delivery time would take 30-45 minutes but after an hour, I called the place and the guy asked if I could give him another 10 minutes because it was very busy. It didn't arrive after 10 minutes so after 15 more minutes (which was going on for an hour and a half by now) I called again and they told me the order already left and it would be another 5 minutes which turned out to be another 15 minutes. All told, it took 1 hour and 45 minutes! The food ironically, was decent enough although the seafood pan fried noodles were mostly topped with kani (mock crab) and veggies, not an array of large pieces of shrimp, fish, etc. as I was expecting. I do have to point out the roast duck over rice had a few good pieces but there were several boney pieces which should've been better tossed out than given to a customer, especially to one who waited more than twice the maximum wait time! The beef stew noodles weren't made with chow fun noodles as I had asked online. Instead, they used the skinny wonton noodles which is a big difference. I would think Elmhurst, home to many finicky Asians would've closed this place down by now. The only saving grace is their food is cheap. If you have a big appetite and little patience for waiting, scroll past the "A" lettered Chinese restaurants to find another place. Haven't been to their physical location yet but judging by the background noise of my 2 calls, it seems they can't handle busy nights!! The fact it has a new name and the name Asian Kitchen can't be found anywhere on Yelp tells me a lot! Maybe they thought if they laid low, no one would review them but I have to send a message here to all unassuming online takeout customers!

Ive been ordering from this place for years and their food was pretty decent up until a couple years ago, orders are wrong literally 1 out of every 3 times i order, they always forget something, its gotten a lot oilier and disgusting, the delivery guys are never careful with the food so beware when ordering something saucy or soupy like shrimp with lobster sauce (half of it is gone by the time it gets to me) the last time i ordered a lunch special i stopped eating it halfway because under the fried rice was just full of oil and i like oily foods but that was just too much

I was desperate for some Chinese food and on a whim stopped in here. I wasn't expecting much and that's what I got. The shrimp lo mien was pretty unpleasant tasting and too greasy, also low on shrimp. The dumplings were doughy and the meat wasn't very flavorful (like most Chinese-American dumplings unfortunately). The egg roll was good though. The only reason I didn't give them 1 star is because I didn't try any of their main dishes and so it didn't seem fair.

Just adding 6/6/2015 that this review is now outdated. I have been going to the place more than 31 years . But about 6 months ago the owners of this place changed and it is now called ASIAN KITCHEN. The prices are higher and the food is worse. I've only been there 2 or 3 times since the new owner and now I won't go there anymore. Fewer vegetables in the dishes, inferior smaller shrimp rolls now. Garlic chicken ain't what it used to be. Thumbs down. **************************************************************** i been getting Chinese takeout from this neighborhood place for more than 28 years. I think it only changed owners once, if that, in all those years. The staff is friendly, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I just came from there. The food has pluses and minuses. You have to know what to order. Over the years, i have ordered several main courses, but my favorite there is the Sliced Chicken with Garlic Sauce which has nice slices of thin mostly white chicken and good water chestnuts. In all the other chicken dishes sometimes but not all times the chicken can be grizzly. I mostly order CHICKEN dishes in Chinese restaurants. And I hold the mushrooms, and love water chestnuts. The Kung Pao Chicken is great, and the Chicken Almond Ding is simple, butt acceptable. They have nothing fancy here, like I can't get Chicken with cashews or Chicken with Honey Walnuts here, but that's all right. The broccoli is plentiful. Moo Shu Chicken, especially the sauce, is very good, except the pancakes are way too thin and they only give you 2 instead of the promised 4 in the wrapper. For beef dishes , I recommend the stringed beef ones...or the Pepper Steak, which has bright green fresh peppers , some onions. and is very basic. .For other BEEF dishes, the quality of the meat is questionable. Their shrimp egg roll is worth ordering. It is better than the plain Egg roll. The Fried Rices, and Lo Meins are great values. Boneless spare ribs may be fried, but they are quite tasty. The Egg Foo Young has a heavy beef gravy and is huge, with 3 big omelets. If you can tolerate lots of fried food, the fried chicken, fried fish, and French fries are terrific values at this place; and you get big portions. The Wonton Hot and Sour soups are decent. My one complaint is the crispy chow mein noodles. They are of lowest quality and sometimes (like tonight) taste old. I have never had a heart to tell them. I wish they still boiled some water for hot Chinese tea like they did in the old days, but I guess I am a holdover who is too lazy to boil water myself. They'll throw in tea bags if you ask them. You get free soda if you spend $10 or more. The restaurant is clean, reliable, and responsive to requests. I certainly can't complain having a better-than-average Chinese restaurant like Yeung's two blocks away for all these years!
