Started ordering from here a while ago because I liked their Thai Chicken Salad. However They've seem to go down recently since one time I placed an order on Seamless that was just ignored and decided to give them a second chance today. Don't I regret that. I placed an order at 11:40, Called an hour later asking where my order was and of course (Without asking me what my order even was) the guy who answered the phone said it was "on its way" They're literally down the road from here (I could walk there in 8 minutes.) Really disappointed. Guess I'll be having something else. Today and in the future...

Bad Thai. If mall food courts had "Thai" food, it would taste like this. Or better. Skip the fast food and go to an authentic spot.

Really underwhelming drunken noodles, which explains why they're always trying (pathetically unsuccessfully) to dole out samples on 6th during lunch.

I don't think this place warrants all the negative reviews. True, you can find tons of better, more authentic Thai restaurants in NYC. But this spot provides a quick meal at a decent price, and they offer a stamp card loyalty program which can earn you a free meal. Their Thursday special - $10 for an entree, veggie spring rolls, and a tea - is an amazing deal, especially for the area. The drunken noodles were actually decently spicy and quite tasty. The veggie spring rolls were on point, some of the best ones I've had in awhile. And they have a fountain iced tea bar, so you can taste all the teas they have on tap. The Thai iced tea wasn't overly sweet, which I can appreciate. I'd rate Dee Daa 3.5 stars, if Yelp offered the option to rate half stars. The staff here is really nice, so I'd say my dining experience was an all around pleasant one. For quick Asian eats when I'm on the go, I'll be stopping by again.

I walked in thinking I wanted a salad or something light but got enticed by the curry menu. I got the panang curry to go and it was alright for a quick lunch. Nothing to write home about but a good fix for your curry craving if you're in the area. It was a good portion of food for the price. The highlight was really the thai tea I had. Remember to put some ice cubes in the cup before getting some! The tea isn't very cold coming out of the dispenser but I still enjoyed it.

Two words...not good!!! I ordered the red curry and my friend ordered the Pad See Ew. As I started chowing down on my meal, I told my friend a couple of weeks ago I had red curry at a Thai restaurant that was everything I wanted in my red curry. This however was the exact opposite. It was not dreadful, but I would say it was not good either. My friend asked if her Pad See Ew could be made spicy, but it was way too spicy. I had a cm worth of flat noodle and my tongue was burning for the next few minutes. In my opinion, the spiciness masked all of the original flavors. My friend did not feel good eating it. So what are the two stars for? Friendly staff and trendy decor. It was colorful and brightly lit.

Probably the worst thai food i've eaten. It's your typical fast food thai place that makes you think its a full blown meal. It's a open lay out and you can clearly see in the back kitchen that a lot of their items are pre packaged, frozen, and just reheated. Plenty of plastic bags being opened and dumped onto a stove for reheating. I had the stir fry and everything just came out a bit too raw and the sauce was not balanced but just spicey. None of that typical thai sweet, sour, spicey mix. Egg rolls were overly fried up and about the only thing that was good was the drinks. Fountain drinks that were in large containers. The lime lemongrass drink was refreshing. Service was subpar. I asked for noodles with my stir fry but ended up with rice. Go figure. One and done.

Very simple review here.I'm a New Yorker, we got Thai places ALL over. We know good Thai food, we know what good Thai food costs and we know what it tastes like. I saw Dee Da open and I was lured in by the store's colorful layout and unique drink options . I had the Thai grilled chicken for 10 bucks. Two pieces of chicken , salad and some white rice. No drink, no side. I know they have these lunch deals which include stuff but I didn't want a lunch deal, I wanted what I wanted dammit. Well, I basically paid 10 bucks for two pieces of chicken because rice is...well..rice and it was pretty bad rice at that and a regular little salad doesn't make the price. It wasn't even a fancy salad with shoots or fancy little edamame ! I will admit the chicken tasted good. I wanted to hate it but I just kept eating it and enjoying it more after every bite. The flavors are there. But I just kept thinking of my favorite Thai place where I could have had the pork belly house special . A massive plate of pork belly on top of rice with their house sauce and a hard boiled egg for two dollars cheaper. Or for 10 bucks I could have had the roast duck papaya salad, instead I had two pieces of chicken. My point is, the food is just too expensive for what you're getting. you're not fooling anybody in this city with this stuff, its fast food Thai. I compared it to Panda Express and I've come to the conclusion that Panda Express stuffs your plate higher and with more variety on a single plate. I know its not always about the amount of food but the flavors that are provided but... I expected more, now that I tried it , it's outta my system, time to move on to other things. oh and one more thing. I got my food to go and they wrapped up my food in this weird container holder thing. No place to put my condiments I had to carry them on the side. I felt like I was carrying a food purse.

The first time I came to this place was so so. Not because of the food - it was delicious. The staff experience was not the greatest. Not very welcoming. The second visit I met a young man at the register named Obie. He welcomed me and my coworker with a big smile, asked if we questions about the menu, asked if we had tried the teas and if we had a Dee Daa lunch card. He impressed me so much that I returned today and the same young man remembered me and smiled and waved while he took care of his customers with the same enthusiasm he had provided me the first time I met him. I don't usually write reviews but since on both occasions there was no manager present to give the Kudos in person, as a Customer Service Supervisor, I like to give credit where credit is due. Dee Daa, your food is good and Obie is great. Congrats on hiring such a nice young man. I will continue to visit this site as long as you have staff like Obie on board. Thanks.

I got the pad thai to go. I thought it was good pad thai for the offering of the establishment. I wasn't expecting anything too great. It's fast food thai food people. I would go here again for sure. Great customer service as well.

I went to Dee da 3 days after opening. It was still very clean in there. A little too clean. There was seating but not enough for large groups. Probably fit around 10 people max. I never tried their food so the lady suggested the Thursday Pad Thai deal. $10.00 for a pad Thai, two spring rolls, and a drink of my choice - I got the Thai iced tea. It was definitely a good deal considering that it was filling and included a meal, appetizer, a drink, and the location. I ordered and literally 5 minutes later the pad Thai was finished. I asked "how did you guys cook the chicken that quickly?!" - he responded with "that is how we want to serve people. Quickly." I proceed to get my drink which you fill yourself. There were about 5-6 options. I chose the Thai Iced Tea. I tried it and it was not too sweet which I appreciated. It also was VERY watered down. Strange. The pad Thai and the spring rolls were housed in a biodegradable looking container which was nice. But I did not like the packaging that he put it in. It was opened and I was carrying a drink and side sauces which had no place for. Good thing I work only a block away. Definitely not good for snow, rain, or windy days. I opened the pad Thai and all I saw was chicken, noodles, very few bean sprouts, and peanuts. It definitely looked very bland. I tried it and it tasted pretty bad. Definitely do not consider getting it. The spring rolls were a lot better. None of the food I got tasted authentic - which I realized Dee DA is a chain restaurant. It felt like a fast food chain store and tasted like one too. I highly suggest not eating here.

Absolutely delicious. Reading the other comments, "a little too clean" and "they didn't have pork belly." (Head smack) Pork belly isn't Thai. I have never seen them serve it anywhere in traditional Thai establishments in Thailand. Must be confused with Chinese and Korean. Food was amazing. Great lunch deals. Service was great and friendly. I embrace too clean in restaurants. Call me crazy. And it's new duhhhhhhhhh I loved it and it's my new fav lunch place. I wouldn't change a thing.

Clean, modern but subpar food. The papaya salad has no taste, the pad Thai is in light brown sauce and the noodles were mushy. Plus the fact that at 1 o'clock on a Monday the place is empty when every other joint on the block is packed with people getting their lunch should've been a sign. Too bad.

The worst drunken noodles I have ever had! And it caused me major stomach problems! Don't eat here!

Honestly the nastiest pad Thai I've ever eaten. Left a bad aftertaste and the chicken did not taste done. With so many good Thai options in Manhattan, I would not go here. The location looks cute (I thought it was froyo at first) but don't let that fool you! Proceed with caution.

This recently opened Dee Daa is the best thing that happened to my lunch hour. The kitchen is FAST, even during the lunch rush. This is in and out, fast food set up, though the food is healthier than regular take out (sorry, Go Go Thai!). Sometimes I want Thai iced tea, and now I have somewhere to get it quickly and easily. My favorite things here though, are the Thursday lunch special--$10 for an entree, a side, and a drink, and they pick it for you!--and the staff, who are friendly and cool under pressure.

I ordered the drunken noodles from here because the line at the juice shop was too long. Biggest mistake of my life. I took two bites of the most inedible noodles and twenty minutes later was puking my guts out. Now i am lying in bed in excruciating pain in my stomach region. What they serve here is not food

    1. Too clean? How about footprints on the table? Probably someone from the staff got up on the table to fix something on the ceiling, but forgot to clean up after. 2. I ordered green curry. Asked for extra curry sauce, I said I can pay extra. Was told that each dish comes in a pre-defined "package" (whatever that means) and that in order to get extra curry sauce, get this - I have to order ANOTHER order of curry for $9 just for the sauce. NOT the things I want to hear/see from a just-opened place. Not coming back. 3. Two stars are for food, which is just OK.

$10 appetizer and entree on a Thursday, decent food. Honestly can't complain. Would recommend to any office worker who wants something tasty and convenient in the area.

So today is the grand opening of Dee Daa in Chelsea. I was lured in by a young fellow telling everyone that lunch was free today. So I went in and ordered. The place looked vey nice, clean and neat. I ordered Basil rice, papaya, and an order of spring rolls. Everything was good except when I started eating the Basil rice. Holy crap was that spicy! Too spicy! Thank goodness that I ordered other items on the menu. The cashier gave suggested this to me and said that it wasn't too spicy. UGH! It is really spicy. I like a bit of spice but this was a bit too much. I am sure that I will come back and update this review in a few weeks. I am planning to go try some other items on their menu. So for now I will give it just three stars. I wanted to warm you Yelpers about their basil fried rice. Eeekkk! Fire in my mouth!

Thai grill chicken is TO DIE FOR! I brought a friend here and he tried grill chicken the first time and hooked ever since. Their chicken is so juicy and tender and flavorful! I love their Thai drinks too: lemongrass, Thai tea, rosella, etc. I'll be a regular!

Gonna be a little bit biased towards Dee Daa for one of my close good friends work here, not to say that this place is bad and giving it the rating/review I am giving it strictly off that but you know, gotta look out for my homies . I rarely have Thai food and didn't even know that there were actually fast food Thai food spots till my friend invited me here to check out the new place. I had the drunken noodles and shrimps. Not bad....not stellar but not bad since I ate it all, lol. I actually wanted the chicken with rice to play it safe but she mentioned it's usually too spicy so I went with her suggestion. If I do come here again which I am sure I will one day, I'll get what I originally wanted to order. Other than that, nice little on-the-go spot when you're out in the flatiron section of the city. If you're a Thai food lover but do not have the time to sit down for a full length restaurant experience I definitely recommend Dee Daa....even if the name throws you off some.

nice addition to neighborhood.. Thai grilled chicken which i ordered with brown rice was so good i ate much faster than usual. however the cashew stirfry with shrimp was nothing special, not interestingly spiced and not as filling. But i will continue to explore the menu
