The pizza here might be cheap, but it's atrocious. It's the cheapest quality pizza you can get in the area, and the place itself is rundown. I don't get pizza from here anymore - especially after it made my tummy all icky more than a couple of times. This place is a no for me.

Honestly I don't understand the dislike for this place. It's not that bad really! I've had pizza here now twice in the past two months and it's cheap and pretty good. I'm a huge huge fan of pizza, I have had so many different slices at so many different places and this pizza is pretty good.

Why anyone would eat Pizza from here is BEYOND ME. I am not exaggerating here when I say that this is BY FAR the WORST pizza on Long Island. So why do people come? It's ridiculously cheap. Trust me people, spend the extra dollar or two and get real pizza from a real pizzeria. About the only thing worth purchasing here are the loaves of fresh baked italian bread for $1. I used to grab them to have with italian themed dinners when I lived in the area. Other than that. I have NO reason to ever go there. EVER.

I have no love for the regular pizza, but its not like its terrible its just not my favorite and their are so many options in the local area. What I do love are the hero's. The eggplant and the chicken parm hero must weigh several pounds each and are just jam packed with really delicious cheese and sauce on fresh baked bread. They also have these really great frozen dinners which are super cheap and made fresh all the time. These are huge time savers when there is nothing to eat or cook at home. I think they do 5 of these for $20 which is a huge steal. The inside of the place is about the worst I have ever seen, I try to close my eyes and walk directly to the checkout. I feel bad because if the inside looked halfway decent, I bet the regular pizza would mysteriously just taste better. lol. Give them a try though, especially the heros.

Not only are the prices phenomenal (especially for regular pizza pies) but I do enjoy the food as well. The frozen dinners they sell are perfect for my family's hectic schedule and has saved me many times with the easy instructions for a delicious dinner for us. Definitely recommend.

Two pizzas for under $15-this is cheap pizza at its finest. Bonus points for efficient, quick service-I called, left my name and order, and the order was ready for pickup when I arrived. There's a bit of a cinnamon flavor in the crust (not unpleasant), but overall the pizza is great. I would definitely order from here again.

Ordered a deep dish pizza and an eggplant parm hero. The deep dish was good, but not exactly a Chicago style pizza. The eggplant hero was very good.......it comes on a foccacia style bread that definitely adds a little sumptin' sumptin' to the overall flavor. I'd rate the place 4 stars if the general appearance was a little more updated. The older gentleman behind the counter was a bit of a boob when I came in to pick up, and when I placed my order over the phone. He did however, compensate for his "boobness" by having a pleasant and friendly disposition. The prices are more than reasonable as well. Let's go with 3 1/2 stars.

Good fast pizza. It's just above dominoes or Papa John's. I think the best thing is the bread they sell. It's only $2 and alway fresh. They have frozen meals that are good in a pinch. This is the place to go for a lot of pizza at a low price.

My dad and brother used to work here and I used to love the pizza a few years ago. Recently my brother picked some up for my dad's birthday party. It wasn't the same pizza I was used to getting from Joey's but it wasn't bad. They also ordered a supersized calzone, it was good but a little burnt, my husband says calzones normally tend to be burnt though. They used to do me a solid and deliver to my apartment in Hewlett I appreciated it.

The pizza leaves something serious to be desired. It may be cheap, but I would never bother to eat it again.

I personally find the pizza here quite edible, and the frozen dinners always come out nice at home - much better than anything you'd get from a major grocer, in my opinion. Is it the best pizza in the area? Of course not. Is it half the price of the best pizza in the area? Yes. For a mere dollar or two more than that offensive Dominos hogshite, you can get what at least *is* a real pizza. In any case, they seem to be doing pretty well. Whenever I swing by to a pick up a pie, there always seems to be plenty of people in the "dingy" dining area and a steady parade of people picking up orders. It's a very recession-friendly business model they've got going on there.

I wanted to try a pie from them bc they advertised a $7 pizza pie. By far the worst pizza ever. It made dominoes taste like a masterpiece. ughhh so brutal, thats why its 7 bucks I guess.

Pizza.....pepperoni, onion, sausage. Mediocre at best. Bad? No. Good? No. Would I order another pizza? No. The fact that it was inexpensive does not compensate for the fact that it just wasn't very good. The garlic knots were very good. The staff was very friendly. I might return to Tony's to try something other than the pizza.

I feel compelled to update my review because since moving to the neighborhood in 2010, they have definitely stepped up their game. The store itself has not changed, still looks the same - dated and kinda dumpy - whatever. BUT! They have since changed the menu and are offering things they didn't 2 years ago. Pizza has improved remarkably, in fact, this is my new pizza place. Calzones are not on the menu but you MUST order one! A large is only $15 and is seriously the size of a large pizza pie, I'm not even kidding - loaded to the brim w ricotta and mozzarella (( get mine with meatball), I've never seen anything like it in my life. Hot heroes are about 2 feet long and made fresh to order, eggplant and meatball parm are fantastic. Their sauce is awesome, too. I've talked to neighbors and other people on the block who completely agree with me on this, so I know it's not just me and my family that realized this. So glad I gave them another shot, I hope they stick around.

We've ordered twice from here, and I've been happy both times. The appetizer bites were unimpressive and need not be ordered again, but as far as pizza is concerned it's definitely our new go-to delivery (previously Regina's and Don Giovanni). The grandma pies are more like a grandma/Sicilian hybrid, but the four square slices per pie have the perfect fresh-bread quality to their crust, and all other ingredients held up (would have preferred/ paid more for the option of fresh mozzarella, but was happy to get what we got for the price we paid). The sandwiches are huge, and easily make for two meals (or one meal shared). I didn't care for the chicken parm sandwich, but the meatball sandwich (again, great bread) was worth revisiting.

this review is for the frozen dinners and not the pizza. i came here with 2 others to get dinner since it was within walking distance of where we were staying. in the lobby of the hotel there is a flyer (see the pic i uploaded) with a list of the dinners they have. i had the penne with meatballs which isnt on the list but oh boy was i happy! for $7 i had that and an order of garlic knots. if you'd like.. they can heat up the garlic knots for u since its in a foil tray and you cant microwave it. the sauce they use is slightly sweet and the meatballs were deeeelicious with the penne. i ended up dipping my garlic knots in the leftover marinara sauce and i was in heaven. for $5 you get a good amount of food but since i don't eat a ton i would say its a healthy portion for a guy. i love that its super easy to heat up... just 8-10 mins (as it says on the top of the container) and ur set! they do take credit cards if ur wondering but since i had cash it was just easier for me to pay for it with cash. they have pizzas for $7 or a slice for less than 2 bucks. the pizza looked good but i was starving so i opted for the frozen dinner. i rarely ever make it out to this area so if i am ever back i think this will be the place to go.

I was pleasantly surprised with Joey's Pizza & Deli. I have passed the signs on Sunrise Highway advertising low pizza pie prices but, never went in to check it out. I walked over when I was getting a new tire for my car for a quick bite. When I walked in I was a little leery like oh my god, I don't think I want to eat here. There are two tables to sit at and freezers full of what I assumed was storage. I walked up to the counter and ordered two slices and the first thing that popped in my head was how long has that pizza been sitting there? I grabbed a Snapple and waited for my slices. The pizza came out of the oven and I put the drink on the counter to pay. The man who served me said four dollars and I nearly exclaimed out loud, "THAT'S IT?! Alright, I'm hungry and hoping the pizza passes the test. Well, that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover" is basically Joe's Pizza. The pizza was delicious and the price is unbeatable. Too bad this place was in a little bit closer to the high school otherwise the line would be out the door! I was really impressed although the places that much to look at the pizza sold me. As I read these reviews I learned that the coolers are it just storage for their ingredients, they in fact are frozen homemade Italian pastas and meals to take home. What a great idea! I haven't seen a place that actually does that. Sometimes after a long day you just don't feel like cooking or going out to eat for that matter. Now I know you could just pop into Joe's pizza and pick up an Italian dinner. Very cool indeed. I would definitely eat here again.
