Went in on a Saturday for brunch at their two bridges/Chinatown location. I got a 3 egg omelette with bacon spinach and mushrooms with home fries. They did not provide any seasoning or ketchup on the side and I can tell you that the dish did not require anything extra at all. The bacon was left in strip form inside the omelette and the saltiness of it helped season everything else. I also got the banana split smoothie which came out pretty weell as any smoothie with banana in it would. This place is also priced to how a true neighborhood cafe/restaurant would be outside of Chinatown so don't freak out when you pay almost $9 for a sandwich and $4-6 bucks for a hot/cold beverage.

CCs is an ideal spot for Sunday brunch! Their sandwiches are crafted with so much flavor! It's a must try spot.

*hidden gem located on a residential street. *Must Try: House Egg Wrap. Three Scrambled Eggs, Portobello Mushrooms, Bacon, and Cheese with Whole Wheat Tortilla. *very friendly service.

A quiet comfortable neighborhood place for brunch. There are frustratingly very few places around here that are not associated with Chinatown, so this is a refreshing change of pace. Some may find the servings a bit on the small side, but the food was very good. Anyways, the prices are very reasonable.

One of the hidden secrets in the Two Bridges neighborhood. I love their chicken penne white sauce with mushrooms and the wraps. A good place for conversation and to just chill. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. Also I love their music.

I remember when this place opened I lived right there. And I only went there recently now that I've moved away. I never really had the urge to come here.....and I don't have the urge to go back. This place is cute, I will give it that. For brunch, if you're looking for something to save you from all the Chinese ness going on this place will do the trick. My friend and I both got the egg wraps...I forget which ones. It was just....edible to say the best. I really wish I can say something better. I liked the guy who was serving us. He was very patient. However, the place was empty with one other person on a Saturday afternoon peak brunch time so I really hope for him that this place stays open. The one thing I can really say is that their latte was "on point" if you will. If I drop by, I will definitely take a latte and cookie to go! Otherwise, sorry but there's amazing dimsum 2 minutes away :/ honest opinion.

We were visiting China Town and the Brooklyn Bridge, this was a great start to the day. The egg wraps are fantastic, and the iced coffee was really good. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. They also have a good selection of craft beer and wine.

This super tiny cafe is a gem. A co-worker grabbed lunch here and I noticed she came back with a quesadilla. It looked pretty interesting too. So the next day I went over to CC's and got myself a quesadilla. It took awhile to make, I assume this was the case because there were only 2 staff members at this cafe. One person taking orders and one person making the food. I recommend ordering ahead of time and I recommend the curry split pea soup. If you get the the quesadilla ask for a side of potato salad. I wish this place was bigger, I would definitely come back and eat but during hours it gets back so quickly. I definitely grab lunch from here again.

Great little spot for a salad, sandwich, beer or wine. Always a soccer game playing. People working there are super nice. Check in for a free cookie, which are delicious!

Great neighborhood spot for food and drinks. Service was good with friendly staff. Porkslap was a good craft beer choice. Quesadilla was delicious and tasty. Butternut squash soup was also good.

I've yet to order here on my own, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the catered lunches they've provided at the school I work for. Oh. My. Goodness. As a vegetarian, I'm accustomed to sad sandwiches, so the wraps and sandwiches CCs provides are a DREEEEEAM! Avocado, alfalfa sprouts, marinated portobello mushrooms, and all those other amazing ingredients that other restaurants rarely invest in. Moreover, their wraps always come accompanied by a refreshing green salad and a divine potato salad (and I don't even LIKE potato salad!). I have stepped inside and looked around while a friend was ordering a coffee. It's unbelievably charming inside. It has just enough elegance to it that it can perfectly transition between a cozy lunch spot and a semi-romantic evening eatery.

I dont know much, but I do know when I have eaten a tasty sandwich. I had the cuban sandwich and it was pretty awesome. Pickles crunchy, pork tender and moist, cheesy ever so stringy, mustard tangy....and this brown meat thingy that I didnt know but it was salty and awesome. I also received a free cookie from checking in (and this is a cookie you want). I ate the chocolate cookie with white chocolate in it along with an ice coffee. I had 2 complaints: 1. The food did take a bit longer than expected, especially since they werent very busy! So it may be smart to order ahead or plan for a leisurely meal. 2. The container I received had coleslaw on the side. The coleslaw was great but it wasnt in its own container so the juices soaked into the bread. This ended out actually really well because the sandwich I ate the sandwich only a few blocks away from the restaurant so it had coleslaw juice in it but was still crunchy. This may be more of an issue with someone who lives further away.

Unique in the neighborhood, a nice cafe with great music and where you can actually hear your conversations. I came a few times already and I'm never disappointed, either with breakfast, soups, sandwiches or salad. I would definitely recommend it for a nice breakfast or lunch with friends on a lazy day

Food was average, wait was way too long. I think they were understaffed when we went. No one sat us down, no one bothered giving us menus. Ordered the quesadilla, a house wrap, cookie, and lemonade. My lemonade and cookie which was already made didn't come until thirty minutes later when everything else arrived. Don't come here if you're in a rush.

OMGAHHH I'm writing this from CC's as I procrastinate over my essay. Well anyway, I'm in NY at a friend's and her internet stopped working on Thanksgiving. We both have essays to complete so we came to CC's. I had the "House" egg wrap which was like the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. It came with 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and amazing heavenly cheese. I paid $3 to get avocados in it and I could not be happier. The avocados were so fresh and not mushy even wrapped inside. The tortilla was so good to. AMAZING. The wrap before the avocado was JUST $5.95. I also ordered a cappuccino (huge!!) and a chocolate chip cookie that's baked fresh daily. The chocolate chip cookie was thick yet crispy, with thick chunks of chocolate. The cappuccino is to die for with an amazing foamy top. The server is the cutest and could not be friendlier! She recommended the cookie flavor and helped us through the menu. I can't wait to come back to try their pork tacos for dinner. They started the morning off with some chill reggae tunes and now we're slowly moving towards soul and jazz. Definitely digging the vibe here and could not have asked for a better place to bum off wifi for a few hours while we try to crank out this essay.

First I would like to thank this cafe in the middle of Chinatown. Definitely should go if you got sick of Chinese food. Go during lunch hours, there may be specials. Although pricey the setting of the place is gorgeous.

Just who is this "CC"? CC Sabathia? Cindy Crawford? Impossible. I think I'll just go with the Yankee. It's quite unusual for an American cafe to be in the smack dab of Chinatown, especially in the middle of where most of the residents are recently emigrated from China. Maybe this will give them the opportunity to experience American food and culture. I worked in the area during the summer and while it was nice to take a break from generic Chinese food as often as I could, running down to City Hall in 100-degree weather was not my ideal way of spending half of my lunch break. I Yelped away and whadaya know? An American cafe was only blocks away! Finally, fresh food that wouldn't melt or rip out of cheap paper bag by the time I got back to work! I walked in and this cute British gentleman greeted me; he's certainly no CC Sabathia. They have wraps and you can put whatever you want! I got an egg wrap with avocadoes, turkey, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. Adding an egg was probably not a good idea because I realized I like cold wraps but nevertheless, it was still fresh. The service is super. The chef and the British waiter (if I could remember his name!) were so nice and great to talk to while I waited. It was reasonably-priced, so I suggest anyone who's from the area and want to take a break from Chinese food, to give this a try!

I stumbled upon this place the other day, and thought I'd stop in and try some lunch. I ordered a sandwich that had turkey, Brie cheese, and apple spread. It was amazing..perfect combination of flavors. The place is very unassuming, especially in the neighborhood it's in.

The Pros: I really want to love this places. It's close to my apartment and has a cool trendy feel inside. I think business like this are great for the area. That's why I have come here multiple times. If you go there to have a cafe con leche and surf connect to their wi-fi then you're good to go. The cons: I have been here at least 4 times, tried something different every time and gotten sick within 30 minutes of leaving the place, every time. I found three hairs in my bagel with cream cheese and on a separate time a roach in my water. Based on my experience I can't rate any higher.

This place is really close to where I live, so one day I decided to stop in. The food was super fresh and tasted great. The smoothies are good, too and they have live music on Saturdays. I eat healthy normally, so this food has never made me "sick" at all. Update: I now eat here a few days a week... I can't help myself.

Don't you wish you had a good friend who happened to be a talented chef and he cooked for you with lots of love? Well, smile, my friends. Your wish is coming true. Remember, everything here is made in-house when possible. Gotta love that. Just had a delicious dinner at CC's and it was the best meal I've had there. Tomas is the owner/chef and he's just a great guy with a big heart and a lot of talent. Ordered the Flank Steak with Tomatillo sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. The steak was already sliced with beautifully charred edges. It was juicy and tender and married with a wonderfully sweet and tangy gravy/sauce. The mashed potatoes were simple and perfect, as were the fresh shredded Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were fresh and crisp. The wifey ordered Portobello Penne with grilled chicken. Another Wowzer! Al dente penne with just the right amount of savory portobello sauce to coat the pasta, topped with sliced grilled chicken breast. It's the kind of delicious that you wish you could make at home. For dessert, we shared a light and airy mini cheesecake that must have been cut from a cloud in heaven. It certainly tasted heavenly! I'm going to claim it as the BEST CHEESECAKE I'VE EVER HAD. Yup, that good. Eileen's used to be first, but she's just been bumped down. Shout out to our server Miguel who was attentive and friendly. Tomas tells us he's working on a gluten-free spinach gnocchi. Can't wait to try it!

Some famous musician, who lives in the area, once quipped that Twin Bridges is the only neighborhood left in Manhattan that does not have a Starbucks. Well, now it has CC's Cafe. CC's Cafe is a cozy place hidden on Monroe street. That said, it seems out of place for the neighborhood. Maybe it is a bit ahead of its time, regardless, I very much welcome this type of cafe to the area and hope it can survive. Their prices are consistent with any cafe in Manhattan, but since this area has not really gentrified, I suspect some will skip it. I have been in a few times to get bagels on the weekend....which they never seem to have for some reason. The service is excellent and the place has a nice vibe. Once of these days I will go for brunch and write an update when I do.

We came here on Sunday for brunch. It was on such a hidden and bizzare street in Chinatown that I don't think a Western cafe will exist or survive. However, it was a great addition to the area. It looks to be Mexican American cuisine and we decided to get the brunch menu. The price is reasonable and food is excellent. I ordered a Mexican Style Omelet and it is very fresh, cheesy with tasty tingy salsa inside. it also comes with a side of Spring salad or home fries. My salad was fresh and the dressing is great. Unfortunately, they seemed to have run out of a lot of things at 2PM. They ran out of home fries and they did not have chocolate for cafe Mocha, which is rather odd. I guess they are new so they don't stock very well yet!? The owner was nice enough to apologize and offer other alternatives. We should return for more!

Great addition to a neighborhood full of but nothing but Chinese Bakeries and fast foods. Interior decoration can be better bit they seem to be trying. Free wifi, decent menu and price, open fairly late. Cannot complain.

Love this little hidden cafe. The owner makes his own bread and pastries. His chocolate croissant is to die for. I recommend their omelettes and french toast! Can't wait to have dinner here.

Best kept secret in Chinatown. WONDERFUL LIVE MUSIC EVERY FRIDAY! The food is excellent. For dinner I had decadent roasted half-chicken with a fantastic vegetable medley and melty mashed potatoes. Ultimate comfort food. I also had lunch, the Mexican egg wrap with avocado and salsa, very energizing! The waitress makes great espresso drinks and they have a great little beer and wine selection. Couldn't ask for better atmosphere, with candles and such! Hurry and check this place out today! Open late every night!

Finally checked out this spot since I live across the street from it. Very surprised to see a western style cafe located in Chinatown that's still in business after all this time. Although the space is quite small, it's never really busy so it feels a lot bigger than it is. Super clean decor and open kitchen exposure which I find very cool. Food is super delicious and fairly priced, although a bit more pricey compared to it's Far East competitors around the area. I would definitely go back again to try out the other items on the menu.

This is a superb spot for cafe standards. Everything is very fresh and tasty. One *major* complaint: Dave Matthews Band and related 90s fare on the stereo. Pretty much every time I come here conversation grinds to a halt when everyone becomes self-conscious as they're subjected to stereotypical pop-jam band classics. My suggestion: rip that off the stereo asap. Stick to classic jazz or anything less cloying than Sublime and Matchbox 20. Downtown Music Gallery is just a few blocks away. Get them to hook you up with some good music suitable for a relaxing cafe environment! And might as well switch out some of the artwork while you're at it...

This place epitomizes fresh and friendly neighborhood cafes. They bake their own bread and make all their side dishes and toppings (chutneys, compotes, etc.) right on the premises. You can taste the freshness in all of their food. I came here for brunch and ordered the french toast, which they made with freshly baked bread pulled right out of the oven and homemade cinnamon apple compote. Delicious! I've been here twice and both times, the service has been excellent. The owner and waiters are all really friendly and attentive and the cafe just has this warm, cozy vibe. They also do take-out, which you can call in!

It's only a 2 second walk from my apartment, it's clean, new and cozy. The food is okay, it is what it is. I'm under the impression that I'm not the biggest fan because this isn't my style of food or because it's not done as well as it could be. The strongest part about this joint is the ambiance.

I find it perplexing why people think this place so is good. Like seriously perplexing. I live on the same block, so I've eaten from their lunch menu a few times. The avocado sandwich is good but it's priced like an expensive lunch sandwich in a neighborhood where business men work, but this isn't that kind of neighborhood. You're charging like 8.50 for a cheese, sprouts, and avocado sandwich and the noodle people next to you are charging 1.50 for a giant container of tasty noodles. It just isn't cohesive to the price point in the neighborhood at all. Frankly, the noodles are better too. From what I've eaten it ok, just not at all innovative or exciting or different. And the baked goods are truly TERRIBLE. I bought a chocolate cookie there once and it looked really chocolatey, all dark brownish-black and rich looking, but it was totally dry and chalky tasting. Just absolutely awful. The apple turnover I had wasn't much better either. Admittedly, I believe Chinese businesses belong in this area, so I was never super stoked about this place. But I gave it a shot, multiple times, and it was just never good. Plus the folks who work there are rude neighbors. They're nice if you're a customer, but they're shit neighbors.

We live around the corner and just opened up an art gallery down the block at 47 Monroe Street. We end up ordering from here quite a lot. There's not many options around here except for Asian food. Don't get me wrong, I love Asian food but sometimes, you need something else. This is our escape! CC's has a great, friendly staff and the food is amazing! I recommend this place to all of our friends in the neighborhood and everyone seems to agree.

Went to a dinner party at CC's and it was great! Liked the small, hip style of the place. Good red wine choices. Had a delicious eggplant appetizer, really nice salad, and tried both a tasty flank steak main (with heavenly mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts on the side) and also a delicious pasta with shrimp and red sauce. Homemade birthday cake was also excellent. I will definitely be back!

Ate dinner here with a bunch of friends. Tasty food. Friendly service. Great to see CC's found a second space to stretch out into more serious "entree territory." I also liked their wine selection. Do this.

This is a charming, classy little cafe I would have NEVER expected to find in Chinatown, especially on this street! I like the artwork and dim lighting here. The chalkboard outside said they have live music on Saturdays. The staff is very friendly. I came by to redeem a PayPal offer (one of those sporadic weekend-only Eat24/PayPal offers). The jumbo Blueberry Muffin ($2.99 total) was very delicious and fresh, as was the Oatmeal Raisin cookie, which I got for free via a Yelp check-in offer. The M&M cookie ($2 + tax), on the other hand, was a little...pepper-y. They have a brunch menu, too. I'm rarely in this area, but I would certainly come back the next time I am (if I'm not craving Chinese food in Chinatown, that is...), especially given the the dearth of comparable American food options in the area.

  • Manon C.

A cool place to have brunch or lunch on the week ends. The staff is always really nice and the little terrace out back is a great hang out when it's sunny. We sometime wait a little bit for the food but the music is nice so it's not a problem in the end.
