This is my favorite Pizza place. I used to live on Seventh Avenue and would order a pepperoni pie from Antononio's at least once a week.

These guys make a good plain slice, no question about it. A go-to spot for me. However, I ordered a pie via delivery once and it wasn't as good, which was weird. Some pizza gets better once it's cooled a bit and then re-heated in a pizza oven, so maybe that's what happened here.

I am not a pizza afficionado, so take my review with a grain of salt, but when you want a New York slice, and not the gourmet stuff down the street at Franny's, Antonio's suffices. I am a total sucker for the buffalo chicken pizza! I can rarely finish one slice, so it's economically a good choice, if not a bad one for my tummy. The guys working there are always very friendly.

One of the more consistent pizzerias in the area if not Brooklyn. I've been going there since I was nine. They make good plain slices and squares as well eggplant and chicken slices and pies. Granted it's not DiFara's but then no one is. Stay away from the platters. Or at the very least skip the pastas which are soggy. The four stars is strictly for the slice and cold soda, stick with the pizza.

Not sure why it took me so long to try this place considering I walk by it almost everyday. I tried the Grandma pizza and I'm seriously hooked. It's the a solid "gourmet" type pizza for a fantastic price. Yum!

tried this for delivery last night after pretty positive reviews here. I'm not a picky gourmet pizza guy, just want good quality tasty New York slices. Antonios was not bad, but the crust was kind of cardboardy, like it had been frozen or something. And it just didn't zing. The food was worth 3 stars, but the two reflects the fact that with choices, I'll try somewhere else next time. Bottom line, I'm still on the search for a simple dependable pizza delivery joint for Ft. Greene area.

I never had a calzone before. After I had one at Antonio's I became calzone obsessed. What have I missed my whole life? Well after 30 other calzones digested from various pizza joints around NYC, Antonio's is the best and none of the other places can even compare. They also make a killer white slice. The are 2 doors down from crunch gym, so it pains me greatly to have walk past this place to go to the gym and try to burn off the calories from the other day when I DIDN'T go to the gym but binged at Antonio's

I live close by and this is my fav place in the Slope for a slice. They come out at the perfect temp and are a little thicker than most traditional NY slices (but not in a nasty Pizza Hut way). I am always impressed with the cheese on the fresh mozzarella slice. Prices are good and the guys behind the counter are cool and actually appear to be Italians. Always hits the spot.

This is quality pizza. I usually just get a couple slices and a Coke. good stuff. There's a review on her about someone ordering chicken parm or lasagna or somethin and not having a good experience - I can't tell you anything about those entrees as I have only had pizza at Antonio's and liked it every time.

the most crave-worthy pizza on flatbush. the buffalo chicken slice is addictive. $8 minimum for delivery, no frills on phone so if that borderline-rude attitude thing bugs you, you may want to go in person.

The spinach Alfredo pizza is completely unbelievable. I want to branch out and try other things on the menu, but I keep ordering that pizza again and again. I'll order slices just so I can taste other things on the menu--white slice is good, grandma's is really good. But the spinach Alfredo is out of this world. I've never tasted anything like it! And some of the best garlic knots I've had, particularly for delivery.

Ah... Antonio's. I'm glad that despite the gentrification of Park Slope and Prospect Heights Antonio's kitchen is still there and still cranking out some of the BEST pizza and calzones on the planet. (Not just New York... I'm talking the PLANET, people!) When I was a Brooklynite I would get a made-to-order calzone at least once a week (with garlic, mushrooms and spinach-- just $5.00). They are as huge as your head and the crust is cooked just perfectly. I always got an extra cup of sauce to pour inside. Whenever I'm visiting New York I take the D/Q out to Flatbush Ave. (the 7th Avenue stop is less than a block from Antonio's door) and feast on one of those huge calzones. Believe it or not, it's one of the few things that I miss about living in New York. I'm drooling now just thinking about it.

Hidden amongst the many pizza joints New York City has to offer, is this gem. Like the majority of native New-Yorkers, I have developed a sensitive palate that is able to distinguish one pizza from another. Though I've never quite been able to figure out what makes two pizzas identical the to the naked eye differ so drastically in taste, I do know that Antonio's gets it right. Their crispy thin crust, perfect sauce-to-cheese ratio, and delightfully seasoned slices will have you coming back for more; and at only $2.00 per slice, you can't go wrong!

Was first attracted by the 1950's style neon sign. Assume that any pizza that can last over fifty years on a corner is worth a try. My whole pie, no extra toppings was good. If requested, one free topping can be added if mentioned when ordering. $16.00 is a reasonable price for a large 18" pie. Good tasting oil was generously used. The pie had a good cheese to sauce ration. Meaning, no one ingredient dominated. It was a good, old school pizza. With that wonderful pizza taste. The crust was a little bit too thick, but not too chewy. Located on Flatbush Avenue between Park Place and Sterling Place. There are at least two other pizzerias within two blocks. Need to try both of them soon.

Lots of pizza places have moved into our ever gentrifying area over the years, but Antonio's stands the test of time for a delicious pie. The classic cheese topped with "whatevah" is as crave-worthy as ever but, if you are in the mood for a "gourmet" pizza experience, try the grandma pie. Damn, that thing is so f*cking yummy it's obscene. You can order a whole pie - or stop in for a single slice. They have it by the slice both classic or topped with a light toss of beautiful tomato, basil and garlic. A friend gave me a gift certificate to Franny's recently. I ordered one of their pies for lunch and it was lovely, but had I the choice I'd happily order a grandma special pie from Antonio's any day. It's just so damn good.

Pizza is one of the more overrated foods on the planet. Yet, I found the pizza at Antonio's to be most enjoyable. The cheeses that they use, must be of the highest quality, and along with the way they prepare the pizza, this makes the flavors, utterly delightful, resonate in ones mouth for some time, after finishing the pizza. There is just one other place in the NYC area, that is Sicilian, sit down fine dining, that is on par with Antonio's. For a quick bite and gourmet flavor, it has to be Antonio's.

Came back to Antonio's after being away for awhile from this place, just due to the fact I haven't been in the area for awhile but I went right back to the delicious STUFFED PIZZA. I love this slice, just the same as it was years ago. While sitting there, you can see that the customers sure frequent the place, either that of the young man behind the counter has a great memory of everyone. There was nice interaction between the staff and customers which tells me that people come back here!! Although I didn't try any of the other slices, they all look pretty tempting. I'll be back to give those other prospects a try.

Solid pizza, ridiculously fast delivery. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza last Saturday and it was delivered piping hot within 20 minutes. The pizza itself was pretty good, nothing to rave about but certainly not disappointing. I will be ordering again next time a pizza craving strikes and I don't feel like leaving my couch.

Brooklyn New York thin crust pizza. Had pepperoni and a veggie slice. The mozzarella was worth crossing the bridge over from Manhattan. I'm told this is where the locals go for a slice. Its nothing fancy just straight forward good quality pizza slice on the go.

Antonio's gets an extra star for effort! Their pizza is Brooklyn standard, just right. Not the best, not the worst. A little greasy, but some like it that way. ( Ya know, In some cities this would be the best pizza in town, but hey, this is Brooklyn, right???) I placed a large order in early spring for an event around Prospect Park and they accommodated my timing, my specific instructions and additional order with a total can-do attitude. And, everyone loved the pizza. Total win. Today got two slices for my son, and he loved them. So, if you are ever getting off of the Subway at 7th Avenue, Brooklyn (B/Q), and need a quick slice, you will be happy with your slice.

Going strong. I have been coming to this pizzeria for 20 years. The two brothers have run the Resturant for as long as I can remember although they aren't that much older than me. Everybody knows them and they are friendly with everybody. The food is great. I love there baked ziti with ricotta cheese and their jumbo shrimp parm. They deliver as well and your food is still pipping hot. Stop by and grab a slice.

I must say that I researched this place before setting foot here. In my honest opinion I did not like how people previously mentioned how this place is expensive and the pizza is decent. Let me tell you I, for one don't mind paying for great food and this place is definitely a keeper. This must be the best pizza joint in Brooklyn hands down.... The grandmas, fresh mozzarella slices are all insane!!!!! I , as well as my wife and kids are all addicted to the Pizza at this place. I travel here at least once a week. I've been grabbing slices here after work for a quick cheap meal for a while now as it's right off the 7th ave stop on the Q. This pizza is SERIOUSLY dope. I've tried many different slices and they all exceeded my expectations. Some favorites are sicilian, eggplant, and classic pepperoni. The staff are all business, and they appreciate every customer. I felt very welcome. I actually just ordered delivery from them for the first time today. I didn't time it, but they delivered my caesar salad and mozarella sticks in like 10 freakin' minutes. Amazing.

My friends and I ordered a large pie from here on Saturday night. They were friendly on the phone and took our order down and happily enough got it right - we ordered a regular cheese pie with one side to have truffles on it and the other side to have pepperoni and sweet italian sausage on it (that was my favorite side, yaaaaaaaay meat lovers!!!). Our order was delivered pretty quickly and piping hot. Although the pizza itself was super ridiculously greasy - it WAS delicious. I'd order from here again if it's late, but still not the best pizza I've ever had - Manhattan still wins for me.

The pizza slices at Antonio's are sooo tasty...not perfect but really good. Cheesy, gooey and always hot and fresh tasting. My current fave is the grilled chicken slice with basil and tomato. Diced red onions and fresh herbs make this particular type of slice a must try. Antonio's also offers Italian pizza shop standards that have been deleted from most neighborhood, pizza shop menus like spaghetti, ziti, salads, ravioli and garlic knots. They have Yoo Hoo too. Nice!

Great pizza joint. I always get a slice of pepperoni and a grandma slice. Delicious. Just today I noticed all of the other stuff that they have. Salads, pasts etc. so convenient too. Right off the Q/B train. So easy to grab a slice while on your way to the train.

These guys have been right around the corner from me for years, and I can just say they get better and better. Their sauce is seasoned to perfection and their shrimp alfredo is to die for. Going into the store, you get a warm vibe with the friendly, charming staff. They have always gotten my order right whether it be take out or delivery. Best in the neighborhood. This is not a great neighborhood for pizza. Antonio's is an oasis of Brooklyn quality pizza in a desert of average. They have good pies, good prices. The calzones are huge and the best thing they serve. This is my go to place even though its a 20 minute walk from my home. I'd rate it higher but its just a takeout place. Good but not great!

I'm pretty sure I've both drunkenly grabbed a slice from here once and my friend ordered in from here once in a group gathering game night. It's not terrible. It's not the best ever. It's slightly greasier than you would expect even from pizza. But it's definitely not bad for a generic slice shop. It's apparently family owned since 1950. That's so charming and kind of makes we wonder if my Dad when he was living on Flatbush Avenue in the late 70's ever stumbled drunkenly into here too. I sure hope so. It's no frills but delicious. I'll be back.

Good spot. Sophia Loren and squares are bomb. Not much else you can say. They deliver quickly and no bs. Always steady and on point. They cater to everyone, but without any panache. They could spend a couple bucks and make it look good inside, but honestly they don't have to; you know what the deal is.

This is one of those time machine places I like to write about... you walk in and boom it's the 60's. (maybe the 50's yikes). The store front should have landmark status and the pie is classic Brooklyn. I get kinda salty when people do their 10 best lists and Antonio's is not on it, WTF? OK it's Brooklyn... we got DeFara, L&Bs, Tortono's, Queen to name just a few and dis joint is a major league pizza player too.

The good: Good location (near Barclays and Atlantic terminal, and just off the Q train), good pizza, good service. I called for a medium pie with pineapple and jalepeno (try it!) and walked over to get it. It was done in just over 10 minutes, no waiting, and it was delicious. The bad: The price was a bit high - $19 for a medium w/ two toppings - and the per-slice price is high ($3-$3.50). Pizza was a bit greasy, but nothing a few napkins couldn't lift off. And their bathroom was out of order. And they are cash-only, which is an inconvenience, but probably a major money maker for them. It's pizza. It's good enough. They have a big selection. But if I had my choice, I'd have tried the fig-pear-honey-Gorgonzola number at Amorina a few blocks away.

Antonio's is my #2 in Park Slope/Prospect Heights. Which is not a bad thing at all - everyone needs a number two guy, and Tony's (may I be so familiar?) is mine. You can call ahead and place an order at Antonio's, though they always have a good number of slices up for grabs at the counter. I have been known to (AWKWARD ADMISSION AHEAD) grab a slice of white pizza while I wait for our group pie to finish cooking. Y'know, just to keep my strength up for the pizza-box-shuffle home. Antonio's is well-priced, and I like their signature marinara...it has a hint of sweet, is boldly flavoured with oregano, and I highly recommend paying a little extra for a warm styrofoam takeout container of the stuff if you like your pizza extra saucy (as I do). The crust is sturdy with a good chew; the slices have structure to them. I tend to stay pretty simple with my NY pies, so when you're looking for a classic done right: Antonio's has your back (via your stomach). Yelp note: right by the subway station, the commuter rush can make it pretty hectic inside Antonio's. There is seating, but takeout (especially if the weather is nice; slice 'n stroll!) always appeals to me more.

The pizza there is average. I work around the neighborhood and if there was a closer pizzeria, I think I'd go there instead. I probably go there two to three times a week, only because sometimes I have to. I'm giving this place two stars for a few reasons. The first time I ordered from there, they had really bad customer service. There was this guy behind the counter yelling on his cell phone saying something along the lines of, "I don't care who you are or how big you are, I will still f*** you up..." He also mentioned something about guns. Very disturbing. He sounded really mad on the phone and didn't bother acknowledging that he was in the front where all the customers can see and hear him. A few weeks ago my coworker and I ate there and we both got a stomach virus. That was the only place we ate at together that week so I'm almost certain it was from the pizza. $2.75 for a slice of pizza. On top of that, they do not accept cards. I've experienced better from a pizzeria.

In this increasingly gentrified area of Brooklyn down the block from the Barclays Center, Antonio's like the last of the pizza Mohecans. I'm not even sure if it's Italian owned or not, but it seems like it has been here forever. There are a couple of small tables, but otherwise it's strictly a slice joint. The staff are deifnitely Brooklynites but they're also very friendly. I went in, got a slice, and was out the door in a minute and a half. The slice I got was pretty good but kind of average. The crust was light and had a nice crispness to it although it wasn't very sturdy. There was a bit too much cheese on it, but thankfully it was good quality. What really threw this slice off was the sauce which was overly sweet. As a whole it was edible and I can see why an old school slice joint like this would have so many fans in this section of Brooklyn, but I can't say it is anything remarkable either.

The guys who work here are always the best--so nice. They make you feel welcome and they go out of their way to help you. The Grandma slice: Pretty good, considering that my expectations were low. Fresh mozzarella, fresh garlic, fresh basil. It's admittedly not my favorite Grandma slice, but not bad considering that the rest of their offerings are so run-of-the-mill. Stars for the service.

By far the most legit "brooklyn" pizza joint in the area. Nothing fancy, just done really well...consistently. If you want something more adventurous in Crown Heights, try the inventive Pete Zazz or the upscale Barboncino. I often order delivery by the slice--usually the stuffed meat slice and a grandma slice. Once, they were out of the stuffed slice, so i asked that they replace it with the less expensive buffalo chicken slice. To compensate, they included a GIANT grandma slice. It was a small gesture, but it didn't go unnoticed. Regarding price: I'm happy to pay more than average for a better than average slice.

Stopped here because I was hungry and wanted a slice. A glance at their prices and I was like, "Hmm, kinda high." But the pizza looked so good behind the glass! I chose a slice of fresh mozzarella and boy, oh boy, it hit the spot - delicious sauce, right amount of cheese and basil, and the nice, rustic crunch of the crust. But $3.50 for a slice? There's no meat on it! Oh well. Gotta remember I'm not in the city. I'm not going to lie, when I saw the '2 slices with a soda for $6' I just shook my head. But I will be back, regardless of price. That slice had me HOOKED. They only take cash too, so make sure to stop by an ATM before coming here!

Flavor is decent at best. Not much to write home about. In a hungry pinch - like I was tonight - I would've returned but they won't be seeing me again. Why? I mentioned to the guy my and a few other patrons' sentiments that the restaurant was cold. Yes I can figure your temperature perception is different due to working near the hot pizza ovens but to hear what I say yet ignore your customers' comfort gets you a write off from me. He conveniently ignored me. Too bad. I'm in the area often and was psyched to find this spot.

Eh, its ok. It was the highest rated place nearby for pizza, so I thought to try it. As with most NY Pizza, its just kinda unimpressive. Meh cheese, meh sauce, meh crust. Its probably more the style than the place itself. The service was a little rough with the customers, but I guess that's the authentic brooklyn thing. But it was the end of the day and I'm sure they were tired. Why don't they accept credit cards? This is 2013. You've got a phone. Get Square and suck it up.

Yesterday, I had a hankering for something like pizza - given that I don't eat anything that comes from an animal. So, I decided to try a vegetable roll with no cheese from Antonio's and unfortunately they still made it with cheese. No worries, I called Antonio's and told them about it and Tony took good care of me when I went back in today for the same thing. It was delicious and I imagine the next time I have a craving for pizza that fits my diet, I'll go there again.

Decent pizza, but... City Sights tour buses started making a stop directly in front. Now all day long it's full of screaming tourists. Good luck getting service if you live in the neighborhood and just want a quick slice. I've completely stopped going.

This is the first place my partner went on as a part of an epic quest to find the best pizza in NYC. This rating is only about the pizza, not the rest of the establishment. The rating is more of a 3.5. I got a stuffed meat slice. The Crust: Tasty enough. The Sauce: A little sweet for my taste, but not a dealbreaker. Toppings/Cheese: Plentiful. Size: At $4, this was a lot of slice for the money. Overall: Probably not the best slice in New York, but a really tasty one if you're in the area (which I am because I live up the block).

I've been eating here for years and years and years. As this neighborhood changes I am really glad to see Antonio's still around. It was my favorite place to be after the movies (American Apparel) took that spot over. I took my nephew here for the first time. I always go for the "square" sicilian slice with a root beer. He was visiting and is officially in love with NYC. He is also a pizza connoisseur and gave his thumbs up!!

Antonio's offers solid, inexpensive pizza. It isn't gourmet and it's not made in fancy imported ovens from Italy, but if you want a quick slice or pie it's one of the best in the neighborhood. Plus, delivery is fast and efficient. The best pie is the fresh mozzarella pie, which has huge globs of mozzarella and marinara sauce. The pies with toppings are also good, and they don't skimp on toppings like some other places do.

This is a "classic" style pizza place, not one of the new yuppie type places that give you a touch of sauce, a spot of cheese & a couple of leaves on a cracker. Had two different deliveries from Antonio's, and 3 different pies. So lets go from worst to best. Deep dish meat pizza. 1 star. The crust was thick, but had absolutely no flavor. It was neither fluffy nor crunchy either. BOTH of which should be part of a deep dish. Fail. big fail. Even the toppings weren't that flavorful. I couldnt even tell what the sliced sausage was..and it dripped grease (i know, obvious cuz of the meat). Vegetable pizza on whole wheat crust. 4 stars. The crust had the chew and slight sweetness of a good whole wheat crust. And the combination of the toppings (broccoli, mushrooms, sauteed greens, peppers) was excellent. Somehow this thing was more flavorful than the meat. Grandma pizza. 5 stars. Epic. The crust topping was garlicky and salty, and the fresh mozzarella was wonderfully melted. And just when you think your bites have gotten bland, the thick, sauce zaps you on the tongue. Soooo good. So overall not bad. Will absolutely never allow anyone to order a deep dish from here again. But when you get a pie with good ingredients, it's a damn fine experience.

I'll admit it. I am not usually a greasy slice kind of girl. I'm not ashamed to declare my love for overpriced, brick oven, thin crust, fancy topping pizzas served by hipsters with an elaborate seasonal cocktail and a kale salad on the side. But sometimes you just need a slice. If you find yourself in that situation in Prospect Heights or Park Slope, this is your best bet. I had the grandma slice and some garlic knots, with a side of marinara for dipping. Everyone else was jealous of my grandma slice which was great and not overly greasy so I'd suggest ordering that!

While touring in Brooklyn we were told that we had to try a slice at Antonios and we are so glad that we did. HUGE slice, perfect sauce, cheese and pepperoni. I made the mistake of ordering the cheese Sicillian pizza (because as I was ordering it was fresh and just being put into the pizza shelf window) instead of the traditional thin crust slice. good simple pizza. I got the eggplant parm slice and it was so good!! but it wasn't heated through enough. My one recommendation to this place is to make sure the specialty slices are heated enough in the oven, because they take a little bit more time to heat up than a plain slice. I split the salad with my friend and there was even enough for a third person to partake.

I ordered from Antonio's using seamless web. It was a miserable, rainy night. I hadn't ordered from Antonio's before so I kept my hopes low - and with the weather being bad lowered them just a bit more. My hubby and I were too lazy to cook, so we were willing to take whatever dinner cards fate dealt us that evening. We ordered the fresh mozz pie, garlic knots and a salad (my nod to health). The pizza arrived to the MINUTE on time, hot and delicious. Really nice crust, flavorful sauce and cheese. I was impressed. The garlic knots were delicious and even the garden salad was top notch for a garden salad (fresh, crisp vegetables).

The pies are great, the service is great. The only reason that I don't give them 5 stars is that they do not deliver to my area ( 4 minutes by car, 25 minute walk). One night, we walked there and arrived just as they were closing, in fact the staff was out of the store and on the street going home. There's this on-going debate about who makes the best pizza in NY -- Grimaldi's, Di Fara, etc. While those places have their value, Antonio's is the most consistently good NY pizza place. Their delivery is fast, the pizza is always hot, their crust is deliciously chewy and the sauce is that perfect mix of tangy and sweet. A regular pie is the way to go -- no toppings really necessary.

Amazing Friggin Amazing Grandma Pizza. If you like a bit of garlic flavor in the oil they spread on the crust and if you like real mozzarella cheese, and amazing sauce, this is a go to take-out/delivery necessity. Great pizza as far as slice places go. I'm giving it a 3.5 star rating until I get the chance to go back and try more pies. I'm at Crunch once a week and instead of sitting down and going to my usual Latin chicken place across the street (El Gran Castillo De Jagua), a nice *light* slice of pizza would do me good. It's cheap too! No slices are more than $3.50. It's true, not as cheap as that Two Bros Pizza crap in the city, but their regular slice + soda deal is so greasy and nasty so I don't think it's a good basis to compare to Antonio's homey taste. Came in, hesitant the place was going to be mega grimy (it was not) and ordered amongst their tasty looking pies. They have your usual regular cheese (ew, creative much?), siclian (huge, pan pizza, thick thick crust..not a huge fan), and fresh mozzarella (which looks, you know ITALIAN), and the famous Grandma Pie (which I see as a more gourmet regular with thin crusts). There are some (tasty) more unique pies such as the Spinach Alfredo (sounds soo tasty, but baad) and the spicy chicken (common man buffalo was also there), Stuffed Crust Meat... you get the picture! There's something for everyone. For a health buff like myself, I went for the Whole Wheat Veggie ($3.25). Amazing texture- the pizza was cripsy yet soft, and also how light and airy it was. But the veggies atop kept the slice hearty. There was broccolis, tomatoes and onions primarily. For other veggie lovers, there was also an eggplant slice. I loved the whole wheat oven baked crust, but of course it was a bit dry as whole wheat goes but the flavor wasn't too compromised. Service was fast and cordial. I read through Yelp that these guys are Albanian and so let's just say I appreciated that no one was gawking at me as they do to single ladies in other pizza joints. (Aw, don't be offended). Seems like they offer other fatty goodies such as hot hero sandwiches, cinnabons!!! (not that they looked that great here), and garlic knots (4 for $1- these did look tasty ) . When you pay for your pizza, you get to put red crushed and oregano on it (I wished that they had parmesan to sprinkle on too). Then, I went to the gym afterward. And I didn't feel nasty! I never experienced delivery (and never will since I don't live in Brooklyn) but I would definitely stop by for a slice when I'm feeling pizza in the Slope.

Although it is a bit pricey for delivery pizza, the Sophia Loren pizza is AWESOME. it is a freakin huge pizza, with tons of mozzarella, garlic and sauce. It's great at home and makes people jealous when I bring leftovers to work. Delivery is also incredibly fast as well!

On election night 2008, the only sad piece of news I heard was when I called Antonio's and the guy was like, "Sorry, we ran out of dough!" People all over Prospect Heights and North Slope in front of their TV's had the same idea: pizza, and they chose Antonio's. Greg posting below is right, these dudes are Albanian. And in Napoli the best pizza makers are often Egyptian. Funny that. I'm a pizza snob. I worship Franny's and DiFara's. Even while living in Florence, I would only go to the two best pizzerias in the city. And I will confidently say that the Grandma slice and fresh mozzarella slice at Antonio's are both pretty frickin' delicious. It's not like in Italy, but they're good, solid NYC slices with a nice crust, great sauce, above average cheese, which are becoming harder and harder to find these days. It seems like pizza is either really high-end or just crappy. Antonio's is not falling into either of those ends of the spectrum, and thank god for that.

This is really really really good pizza. It's a typical neighborhood pizzeria with fresh ingredients and friendly service. The stuffed meat pizza is my favorite. Its a decadent 2 layer pizza that solves the "why are there only a few pieces of pepperoni on my pizza" problem. Without making the crust much thicker at all they manage to squeeze in 2nd layer of cheese sauce and meat. Delicious! The plain cheese and alfredo are also pretty great. The 4 is because they're only open until 11 on weekdays and midnight on weekends...no late night pizza runs!

After getting take out here dozens of times I wont be going back. I was told by the manager once when I was picking up a pizza that they deliver to Franklin Ave in Crown Heights. When we called up tonight they initally took our order, then called us back and said they couldnt deliver to us. When I called back to ask why and remind the owner that we were around the corner from wino(t) (whim he said they deliver to everyday) the owner said "Too Far" and hung up on me. A previously loyal customer being hung up on. Unacceptable. Learn some customer service folks.

grandma pie was awful! a number of yelp folks recommended the grandma pie here so i gave it a shot tonight, and it was truly terrible. had delivery which to Antonio's credit was fast and hot, but the sauce was way too sweet and the crust too chewy. added sausage to half of it which was completely flavorless. just grease. mozz was also nothing special. i would never order from them again. judging from the positive reviews, maybe i just picked the wrong pie - but there's so much better out there.

A man with id, with needs and dreams. By the time I came home my roommate and two of our good friends were there. The University of Kentucky was playing Ole Miss. I had human interaction, friends even. There was beer but something was missing. Some missing piece of my soul cried in the distance. "Do you hear that?" I asked "Sounds like death throes of something big. Something ... unnatural," my rooommate said. "'Tis thy hunger, lad," our good friend said ('cause he's a pirate in this story). "The beast need be slain by fair shoreline of peperoni" I knew what to do. Muscle memory intervened. I acted. Jack Bauer would be proud. Throwing myself across the coffee table I grabbed yonder cellphone. Quickly I dialed the numbers. "Antonio's pizza, how may I help you?" "Ride! Ride now, my friend, in the hour of despair. Spare not a wither! Let the red dawn err the clash of steel compel thee!" "Excuse me? What the fuck are you talking about, chief?" "Oh ... ahem, sorry. Yeah, I need a large pie with pepperoni." "Okay. Gimme your address ..." Antonio's was there to deliver. That familiar voice, friendly, ready to dish out a pie and so Brooklyn, even African Bushmen can place it, was there for us. The Wildcats weren't doing so well, and neither were we. There were chips and beer of course. There is nothing more natural for an American male than chips, beer and sports. But it isn't complete without pizza or grilled meats. The first half toiled on, and it had only been ten minutes since the call but the pain was too great. One of our friends leaned into the table. "Thar be tell of a group of sailors, lost on the seas of China called Papa Johns in desperation. Only to be bitterly led to the rocky shore by a delivery guy in a Hyundai." We all shivered a little. What would our fate be? Was there time. My roommate was growing paler than usual. Then the doorbell rang. It was Antonio's. I paid the man quickly. Antonio's is on the higher end of the pizza scale vis-a-vis money. A large pepperoni pie cost us $17 but it was worth every bite. They have a wide array of calzones and rolls if pizza doesn't tickle your fancy, but how could it not? This is what pizza is all about. This is New York at its culinary best. The University of Kentucky lost but what did I care. I'm probably never going to Kentucky and my stomach was happier than a pirate locked in a chest of gold.

This place is great because they let us order a pizza 10 minutes before closing and then gave us free pinwheels and garlic balls. Sweet!! But also their pizza is delicious. They have wheat crust which is actually quite tasty and flavorful and their veggie pie is covered in vegetables! It still hit that special pizza spot in your heart and tummy without making you feel guilty or like shit.

I used to live two blocks away. In a lazy pinch, Antonio's did the trick. Not pricey (with the major gentrification of even Prospect Heights (American Apparel and Crunch next door...WTF!). Antonios makes me miss my downstairs neighbors soooo much! I used to live nearby this apartment of guys that could be counted on to order from Antonios at least once a week. They always invited me down and the pizza was always great, the beer always cold, and the darts competetion fierce. (Note-It is ALWAYS better to play darts in a friend's apartment. No holes on your own walls). Sadly, the friends moved away and I only get Antonios once in a while now, but.... it is still the best, and most consistent delivery pizza in the area. The Sicilian pizza with peperoni and sausage is a continual favorite of mine. I tried to stray and order from some other pizza joints nearby and they were always disapointments.

I love Antonio's. It's my go-to place for delivery pizza. They're always quick, and have never messed up my order. I've probably had 30 pizzas from them in the past two years. They're efficient, deliver quickly, and the pizza is incredibly tasty. It can leave you thirsty afterward as I think they use quite a bit of salt in the sauce, but it's always a welcome sight after a hard day a the office.

My boyfriend and I get take out from here because he really likes their pizza and it's better than that place on Washington Ave. The pizza is okay, but I was really dissapointed with the eggplant parm hero because the roll wasn't real italian bread (it was like a deli roll). Also, I would stay away from their pasta dishes. The pasta in my with garlic and oil with cheese was overcooked and the whole dish was awful even though it's something so simple to make (I should have just made it myself!). The food comes pretty quickly and the prices are good, I just wish the quality was better. Since I know that we'll definitely end up ordering take out from here again, I'll try the calzone next time and update my review if it's any good. Update: I finally tried the calzone 2/24 and it arrived all crispy and amazing even though I live a few avenues away from the place. Incredible!!! Absolutely orgasmic... I've never liked calzones before, but I figured I couldn't go wrong with fresh mozzaralla and spinach. So right! It was made fresh and so tasty. And a really huge amount of food for $5, as well. +1 Star for the calzone alone.

The good people at Antonio's did not disappoint. My order was delivered about 20 minutes after I ordered it, and it was DELICIOUS. The only thing that keeps me from bestowing 5 stars -- they seem to pull the "let's put the pepperoni on after it comes out" maneuver, which always leaves a weird taste.
