What do you look for in a meal? My in-laws love value, my wife and I prefer quality, the kids like to go out either way. If you are looking for an inexpensive meal (meaning you get a lot on your plate per dollar) than Pablo's is your kind of joint - especially if you like dinner-style food. If you are looking for something more upscale like presentation, chef-quality taste or fresh vegetables - it ain't the place for you. I generally don't choose to eat there, but it's good at what it does which is serve up some decent food for a few dollars.

First and last time I will try this place!!!! I ordered a simple omelette with 4 simple ingredients which includes cheddar cheese, bacon, mushrooms and onions "the plaza omelette", waitress comes with an omelette that has at least ten ingredients in eat, sent it back of course and when she returned again it now had at least seven ingredients!!!!! How can you possibly get your own ingredients wrong?!?!?!?

I loooove love Pablo's. Don't go in here expecting anything fancy. It's just a great, small coffee shop with all your classic fare. Their breakfast dishes are delicious, with some of the best home fries I've ever had. If you're looking for classic diner food in south brooklyn, and you happen to live close by, check it out.

Pablo's is a no frills local diner and neighborhood institution. It is family run, so everyone working here has an interest in seeing that you are happy. That said, service, while friendly, can be a little too laid back. Breakfast is their best meal. Good hot coffee and your standard eggs, omelets, pancakes and waffles. Lunches are not bad as well but some items are a bit overpriced. I only had dinner here once or twice. Portions were generous but the tomato sauce was bland. They have added some Mexican entrées since my last dinner visit. The owner is from Mexico, so I suspect they might be pretty good! Overall a 3.5.

My first visit, I ordered a cheeseburger, it was about 10-11am. It was great! A wee pricey-$7.00 I will return! It was topped with onions, tomatoes, lettuce. Everything tasted fresh, nice bun! No complaints, Nice staff, they were BUSY when I came in.

I've never had dinner from this place. I've always just ordered breakfast. Their breakfast is awesome however the dinner does not share that same awesomeness. I ordered stew chicken rice and peas (the yellow rice with peas in it already) and plantain. I never got the plantain and they gave me white rice and beans. The chicken was very raw in the middle and still bleeding. I couldn't return the food because I had my mom order the food for me while I was at work. I got home pretty late that night. So a big fat NO to this place because of the raw meat they gave me.

What you can expect: lots of Regulars cheap food medium to slow service speed. also like a lot of diners its cash only. Honestly, what sets this place apart is the ambience. But its not an ambience for everyone. Its a hole in the wall kind of place. They are not gonna spare a cent in decoration but thats its charm. I think there is only one smallish picture on the wall, which emphasizes how spartan the place is. I love listening to the wait staff chat with certain regulars in Spanish (I can only understand a word or two-I am high school level Spanish at best). Its a bit slow and there is no wifi or tv. I like it because it feels like you have stepped out of time a bit, or at least stepped out of NYC. Its a diner that somehow gets its patrons to slow down.

Ordered through grubhub, on the phone though, he repeated my order twice, yet still managed to mess it up, charged me for items I didn't receive.. and when asked to send extra extra ketchup, 3 was the total packets I received. What a joke.

My friend and I arrived at Pablo's on a Sunday morning while we were looking for breakfast on our way back to Manhattan. The place was packed with families and there was no open table. We were told to wait 10 minutes and we decided to do so because of the mere fact that the place was very crowded hinting that the place may be good. My friend ordered an omelet with cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and onions while I ordered an omelet with onion, pepper, spinach, and cheese. The food arrived 10 minutes later and it looked very good. Their complementary orange juice certainly made things better. However, my friend's omelet was missing jalapenos and he notified the waiter. The omelet was little runny and the peppers were under-cooked but my expectations were not too high. The jalapenos never arrived so my friend notified the waiter again, who brought a whole jalapeno pepper which my friend had to cut himself. Furthermore, his cheddar cheese was not melted and was very chunky. The potatoes and toast that came with our meals were okay at best. The place is okay at best and has poor service. The only reason to go here is the fact that there isn't much else in the area.

Oh yes, Brooklyn's in the house. Sometimes you want to hit Cortelyou's restaurant row, and sometimes you just want a turkey on rye toast. And Pablo's makes great turkey on rye toast. Real turkey, not turkey roll. They also make the best turkey burgers, as many local residents will attest. Now quite frankly, that's all I've got--I've never ordered anything else there. But if you find yourself on Newkirk Plaza, with a hankering for our feathered friend, Pablo's is a good bet.

Pablos is a small , intimate diner located at the heart of the neighborhood. The food is delicious at a cheap price, especially Sunday breakfast! Pablo himself works the grill and kitchen. In a area where there are no other diners around, Pablos offers delicious meals at a price you can't beat.

i work around pablo's. i ordered from them more than a few times and they always mess up. either the food comes cold or they take forever when you ask for a cup of ice, they give you a cup of dirty ice! looks like little bugs or litte black specks in them, gross! also, their food is expensive. can def find cheaper prices at other diners nearby. i usually just stick to the dunkin donuts around here for a quick and cheap fix
