Came here for breakfast on or way out of Santa Fe heading to Albuquerque for the Breaking Bad tour. Needless to say if you've seen the show, you know this restaurant is a rather important place, so we thought stopping in here would be fitting with the theme of the trip. I ordered the Santa Fe Avocado Skillet with a side if green chili and it was yummy. Just what we needed before the tour!

WTF. No bacon available, cold gravy, and overcooked rubbery eggs. Not up to routine Denny's standards. Waitress very nice and apologetic.

Bad food, bad service. Santa Fe restaurants don't offer exceptional service anyway, but these people ignore customers when it's not even busy. A customer shouldn't have to wait 15 mins for a check. What's so hard? People don't work for tips? And the food was overpriced and made me sick. Don't eat at this Denny's.

Denny's deserves a big fat zero! My husband and I waited for a few minutes until we were acknowledged by the manager. He said sit anywhere. There were several filthy tables in the restaurant. We sat at a table with a view of the kitchen. After several more minutes, a waitress finally noticed us. She took our drink order and gave us menus. Drinks promptly appeared, but the service went downhill from there. We never saw the waitress again. After waiting for 35 minutes, we asked where our burgers were. We overheard the waitress asking the cook, and he said he never received an order. Upon hearing that, we immediately left. I have never walked out on a place until now. Never Again!!!

Late last night I got a message from a user here at Yelp, sent three weeks ago. The person was practically choking with rage about my review of the Denny's in Santa Fe NM. They wrote nearly a full page of accusations and insults, and attempts to worry me about how I would get lots of wrinkles when I get old. They also alluded to items in my profile and to two other reviews I wrote here. Bizarre as that was, good came out of it: I was reminded that I need to update this review. Back when the incident occurred (the waiter's rudeness to the women at the table) I had emailed to Denny's corporate about it and received zero reply ...which naturally worsened my impression of the company. But then some time after I wrote the review, I happened to meet someone from the company which recently bought the Denny's, and that person was quite responsive, asking questions about the incident and about the waiter's physical characteristics in order to make sure the guy wearing that particular uniform top & tag was the person whose name was on it (that's why I had written in my review "a waiter whose name plate said 'Rick F.' "...because I did want to avoid slandering Rick F. if someone else had borrowed the uniform for that evening). Because of the new owners, the late hours it's open, and the fact that there's far worse food in the world, I'm altering the rating to a 3. : )

I love this place! because as cold as it was outside it feels like 80' inside, so breakfast is always great on a cold snow weather, but feeling warm is important.
