My husband and I eat here maybe three times a week. It is good food and a reasonable price. The other great thing is it is very convenient. It's great when you don't have much time like during lunch hour, it's nice to walk in, make plate and eat quickly. They are also really good at keeping the buffet fresh and full.

Came on Christmas while on vacation. Two people were on shift. One cook and one elderly lady rushing around. Dishes were visibly piled up in the back of the room. Tables were left unbussed after people left for 5-10 minutes at a time. Had to wipe off our own table. Employees knew virtually no English. Then she refused to ask the cook what ingredients were in a dish becsuse he was "too busy." We had a food allergy and had no idea what was in it. Food trays were consistently empty. They solely got our business because everything else was full. Go to the grocery store and make food at home instead of this place.

While the restaurant was clean and appealing we did not dine there. We ordered take out. The dishes ordered (Kung Pao Chicken and Hot and Sour soup) usually have some heat. These were almost totally devoid of any spice or heat. The flavors were fine for both but not what we expected.

First off, Eric R must be working at the Great Wall or is use to eating Chinese food at the mall or has no taste buds!! Yees is BY FAR the best Chinese food in Ruidoso, and in my opinion, New Mexico!! I totally agree with Elena! The general tsaos chicken is the best I've ever had along with their sesame chicken!! And you just can't beat the price! But if want to fit in with the texans, sure go to the Great Wall, pay almost twice as much for food at half the quality. Not to mention no buffet! I'm not totally slamming the Great Wall. I do go there occasionally for my sushi fix. It's not the greatest but it fulfills the craving. But if you want the best Chinese food and a great price and awesome staff, YEES IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

i traveled to a lot of places. these people were from california, and it's so good, that when they move to new mexico, i went there to eat their food. it is really good. some items are very authentic, and some are more americanized. it's a buffet and order in or take out. their buffet on their special days is only 4.99. and it's great pricing for an all you can eat bomb food! the general tao chicken is to dieeeeeeeeeeeeee for! must try!

This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The only thing that was edible was the fortune cookie. Skip this place and go to the Great Wall.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
