My sister and I were on our way out of town headed back home, and we needed one more New Mexican food fix. We were going to stop at one if our staple places, the Rialto, but realized it was closed on Mondays. At Charlie's, a woman recommended Abraham's for great Frito pies, which is right next door to the Rialto. We made it just in time before closing. Ordered two Frito pies, a chicharrón burrito and a calabacita burrito to go. I knew as soon as I took that first spoonful of red chile and Frito combination that this was going to be beyond good. It was a nice size bowl of Fritos, red chile, pintos and tasty toppings of cheese, lettuce and onions to set it all off. Though I do like my red chile really spicy, this chile had a smidgen of bite but it was tasty to say the least--definitely satisfied my craving! I will definitely be back! Oh, and the burritos were mighty fine, too. Just like Mom's!

As we drove through this small town there was nothing but fast food open, until we reached the end of town and found Dougie's. We found great food, awesome service, clean bathrooms, and polite locals. Our waiter, Joe, sat and chatted for just long enough to make us feel welcome and longing to come back on our next trip. The salsa was delicious! We had tacos and chili rellano. Joe even treated my kids with sopapillas and fried oreos on the house. As we left we all talked about how great everything was. My son even said "this was the best day ever because the food was so good!" The bonus: Coke AND Pepsi friendly.

Excellent food but super slow. Ordered a cheese burger and fries. Fiancee ordered chili rellanos. Took over an hour too get the food. No chips and salsa or anything. Took an hour out of our driving time from Albuquerque to Denver
Wow. Really good food, great prices. I had the carne avovada breakfast. Tender pork in a red chile sauce, with eggs, hash browns and beans and a tortilla. Six bucks, but you can get a great burrito for three dollars.
Had the carne adovada burrito on my first visit and was really satisfied, have been back a number of times since for the same an other items. The prices are more than fair, service friendly and relatively fast, especially since it's usually busy around lunch time and only a hostess/cashier and cook are running the whole place. The portions are hardy if not huge, I saw a fajita/veggie burrito as big as my head!

Very nice meal, and the service was attentive but slow. Had seared beef, shrimp bruchetta, and Italian sausage appetizers - all were good. Entrees included rib eye, surf & turf, lamb, and chicken. All were good and well presented. Also had cheesecake and creme brulee. Would eat here again.
Great appetizers, wine, art & company in historic Las Vegas. No need to drive to Santa Fe for a taste of gourmet (and the company is friendlier here!)
We were in town for a funeral we needed something to eat after the wake, dicks said they were open until 10, so did yelp, and so did the sign on the door @ 930 they had a closed sign up and were told that they grills had been shut down for 15 minutes and they would but be able to serve our party of 8. They recommended McDonald's

good food and good atmosphere. They also deliver which is a big plus. Try their pesto pizza. Its a little greasy but its very delicious.
Pizza here is good. I don't live in Vegas but I drive through a couple times a year and I stop here. The place is always clean and the staff is pretty friendly.
Amazing wings, probably the best I've ever had. Pizza and calzones are delicious too. My favorite is the Central Park, minus tomatoes and onions. The Joey bag of doughnuts calzone is great too.

On the way to Colorado from Santa Fe, we stopped at this restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is kitchy with a lot of religous messages. The food is amazing. I had the huevos rancheros, which came with hash browns and pintos. everything was perfect. My boyfriend really enjoyed his eggs, link sausage and potatoes.
We stopped in today for lunch after taking a nice guided tour of Fort Union this morning. My wife and I both had a Navajo taco. She had shredded beef and I had ground beef as the meat with our taco. They were both very good. Service was excellent.
Our server was really great. We were torn between the red or green chile so she brought us both with our chips and salsa. The tacos come in homemade shells. The beans have great flavor and the salsa is perfectly spicy. The price is good and it's easy to find. I really wanted the Navajo taco but ended up getting the tacos. The shredded beef burrito was huge and was mixed well eith beans and meat.

Delivery to motel as we were traveling through the area and stopped for the night, worn out from driving about 18 hours. Pizza was a bit disappointing, as it was philly cheese steak, something missing in flavor. Pasta was great! Definitely would have again, just not the philly! Delivery driver was AWESOME, wish I could remember his name!

No joke - this place might be the most memorable part of my recent trip to Santa Fe. I was camping outside of Pecos for 3 nights, and on the early morning drive back to Denver, we were STARVING. So starving that we officially decided we would take anything. IHOP. McD's drive thru. Anything that would put food in our stomachs. Right off the highway, we saw this place with a big sign out front that said "breakfast burritos", and we were sold. Honestly, it was some of the best Mexican breakfast food I have ever had. I had huevos rancheros and my friend had breakfast tacos, and everything was incredible. Like can't stop talking about it incredible. The service was speedy, the inside was nothing special, but damn the food was good. Cash only. Since I got back I've been trying to decide exactly how ridiculous it would be for me to drive from Denver to New Mexico for breakfast some morning...
I ordered Posole and it came with NO MEAT. I have eaten Posole across the country and never had a bowl with no meat. When i asked about it they treated us like we were idiots for asking. Had to order a second entree. The young female waitress was rude and The rest of the meal was just ok. Soapailla was decent, the ONLY reason i gave them 2 stars. Chips and salsa not part of meal. Had to ask for salsa and was charged $.50 extra. And while checking out. There is a laminated sign at the check out counter that says: sorry, our credit card machine is broken! So cash only! Even though there was credit card stickers all over every window. When i asked how long has the machine been down, the old man says since 1pm this afternoon. Really? And i am sure you went to kinkos and had a laminated sign made in the last 4 hours? Give me a break.
Post-supper, we stagger up to the register with our check. We're in a deep green chili-and-papitas-induced haze. The young waitress runs our card and advises us to return in the morning for breakfast: get the oatmeal pancakes, she says, my dad's cooking. The next day,the oatmeal pancakes pair off with migas and our palates are once again blitzed. Is this stuff even legal? Point: this is the destination for your serious dose of local, family-fixed, northern New Mexican fare with a buzz. Pay a little, eat a lot, fix your gastric aura.

Huge plates remember this when ordering
I grew up in Las Vegas and every time I visit this is my go-to restaurant. The food is great, you can pre-order over the phone and pick up at the drive-thru window. It's perfect. Eating in the restaurant is quaint and the service is great. Chicken tacos, sopapillas y posole por vida!
Delicious food and great service. We ordered fajitas and posole. Portions were huge and the kids meals were adult size portions. What a great find... Don't let the look of the building outside deter you from a great meal!
