It's a commissary. Good prices and decent selection. The new BX just opened right next to it and definitely worth a visit.

Commissary is great always has been. But the new BX next door, well it's new, ok. With that said the prices went up on everything in that building, food court is over priced. GNC doesn't have sales they had in the old building, barber shop price went up. BX it self several various things they sell prices went up.

Commissaries are a nice benefit to military service and I want to be clear that I am in no way ungrateful for this benefit. My intention is to provide a review for this particular commissary in comparison to other commissaries I have been a patron as well as a slight comparison to other local grocery chains. This commissary is small in comparison to all other commissaries I have frequented. I have never had to wait in line for very long and the checkers/bag personnel are kind and helpful. The produce section is lacking. The bins are always almost or totally empty of various fruits and veggies. Corn on the cob was not available on 3 consecutive occasions. The deli section is GREAT in comparison to Albertsons. The $$$ were substantially lower. Organic milk is about the same $. They stock the international foods most commissaries carry which is great when you want some German chocolate or British biscuits. Cereal is much less $$$ here than at most grocery stores in the area. Meat is less $$$ but they offer very little organic options (for which I prefer where meat is concerned). Overall, the prices are lower for most items, but the variety is much much less than other grocery stores.

It's not the worst commisary I have ever been in but neither is it the best. Prices for most things are cheaper then off base and I love the convience of it. Fruit and veg are fine you just have to catch them as they come in fresh I have never had a problem. I am grateful to have the benefit of using it.

Veggie selection ok, but not great. Sometimes they appear old and wilty. Deli selection is pretty good. Bakery, meh. Prices are great, much better than the outside, so savings are definitely realized. They really need to get rid of the crappy muzac they play, it gives one the feeling of a horror movie about to go very wrong...

Prices can be cheaper off base, but hey they price match. I do love how they are open on Mondays! Most military bases I've been stationed at, the commissary's are closed Mondays. I'm also pretty happy with the Asian goods to choose from. Especially the filipino items. Got a good amount of filipino choices in the asian aisle & freezer section. I still have to go to Talin market for many items, but I can get a lot of the basics that I use here.

Its the commissary...I mean, is a review really necessary? Ok, well it's not the best commissary I've seen, but they are all basically the same. I would not say that the meat and veggies will save you much over outside stores but other grocery items are much cheaper. I'll usually but most things here but I go to Sprouts for meat and veggies.
