Very good. I got the lamb chops and they were perfectly cooked. The mashed payouts were obviously homemade. My boys had taken me out and they liked their meals very much. The chef came out and was very pleasant. The music was great, the table and seating was very comfortable. All in all it was a very good experience.

Hi! I am sorry to continue to "pick on" Sauce! Give me credit, I keep going back (kicking and screaming:) A friend wanted to "surprise" me with a different experience. In Farmington, "different" means, not a national franchise. We ended up at Sauce. I tried desperately to hide the emotional scars I have endured here. I was quite excited to point out what a wonderful "idea" it is to have a "locally owned" establishment! I didn't let the past influence my friend or my comments. Damn it! Crapt! Darn! Shoot! Please get better! I tried, I (we) really did and to no avail. "Overcooked, re-heated, not fresh!" My best descriptions. Even if I have to come here with a friend, I will stop reviewing this establishment. Maybe it's just me. It's still in business so it must be something in my palate. Please, update your website, your Facebook!

Wine was excellent! Fried oysters were delicious, they were a few short so they took it off the price. (We would have never noticed!) I had the bacon wrapped filet. It was cooked perfectly. Nothing like this place in Farmington! So much better than all these chains! Highly recommend!!! Great for date night or for families! A hidden gem!

This is as good as it gets here in Farmington! I was so pleased to find a nice dining experience with atmosphere and creative dishes that are well prepared. This little gem of a restaurant is an oasis . The hostess and waitstaff service was gracious and the owner/chef visited our table as well. We had an appetizer, salads and a filet and a shrimp special. All were well prepared, tasty and nicely presented. I was so glad to find this place. There are way too many fast food, chains and burger joints and not enough places like Sauce for a city this size. I hope people will take advantage of this little gem.

Delighted to find a freshly prepared, reasonably priced meal in Farmington. An Italian menu with homemade sauce and pastas, shrimp, fish, and so much more! Away from the hubbub of Farmington's plethora of greasy chains and convenient for Durango commuters.

Yuck. We went on the suggestion of a friend on my parents anniversary. First we waited. And then we waited. And then waited some more. It's a very small place and it was mostly full, but mostly full means 5 tables had guests. Finally a hurried and obviously stressed waitress came rushing by with water. Eventually corn muffins. Then said she would come back with the specials. Which never happened. A man came over (with terrible teeth, which is not what I want to see when I'm about to eat) to tell us the specials, but couldn't read his writing so he left again. "NO! Don't leave." We were never offered anything but water. We all ordered. He told me he was unsure if they had any butternut squash ravioli, it was out of season, but he would check. He never came back, so my assumption, "Oh, they must have it." Everyone got their food, except me. My husbands pork chop was terrible, like they forgot the seasoning. His butternut squash cubes (notice, they did have butternut squash) were sour. Still no plate for me...with no one around to ask. Finally I flagged the man down and said that I still hadn't received my food. His response..."Oh, we are out. I must have forgot to tell you." Really? So I had them bring me alfredo. It was also slightly sour. At the end a sweaty chef came out who was obviously finished and wanted us to leave came out with some meager apologies. Weird place, weird staff and weird food.

Sauce doesn't look like much from the outside, and it's hard to believe in good Italian food in FARMINGTON, but I'm here to tell you differently! Upon entering Sauce, I was pleasantly surprised to find the decor VERY classy and cute. It looks soo much nicer inside than what you might expect from the sidewalk. It's clean an has lots of great black and white photos, pretty chairs and tables, and a really cool bar in the back. Our waitress was very kind and informative. She had excellent recommendations. We had the shiraz, an excellent wine for the buck and I don't remember the winery, served in big lovely generous glasses. The Arancini was a delightfully cheesy crunchy appetizer! And the sauce it sat upon was a very flavorful zesty compliment. My friend and I split the lasagna, the butternut ravioli, and the shrimp capellini. The lasagna has a robust amount of fresh basil, which I adore. in combination with the fresh cheeses, home crafted pasta, and prime meat, it was absolutely the best lasagna I have yet the honor of sampling! My shrimp was that PERFECT tender/firm/moist texture that a shrimp lover fantasizes about, and in the dreamiest creamy tomato sauce over fresh angel hair. The sauce reminds me of spicy, buttery, tomato bisque, perfectly accented with savory herbs. God save me. But absolutely the best dish on the table (and the contest was TOUGH) was the butternut ravioli. Sweet, savory pureed butternut was tucked softly into these delectable little pastas and bathing in a very smooth, delicate, and uniquely divine cream sauce. Never yet have I had a nibble that transported me so instantaneously to the threshold of paradise. In short, despite being shamefully underrated by previous reviews, this is the place you want to go for PHENOMENAL Italian in Farmington. I daresay that I have not had such fine Italian since Ariana's in Durango. Yes, I understand the responsibility of the levity of that statement, yet I do not revoke. The chef is the sweetest lady, and her staff is eager to prove professionalism. Give our local business a chance and you will not be dissatisfied. It's casual enough to stop by after work, and classy enough for a date. Reasonable enough to go often! My friend and I, after our wine, appetizer, and 3 entrees, only ran a tab of 55$! Warmly, The Mad Ms. M

Well, the reservation process needs a little work, tried to make one via their online option, but never received the text confirmation, called and made one instead, but then had to stand around for 45 minutes for a table. Once we finally got a table, the server was pleasant and very apologetic. I ordered the NY strip, which I suppose I would have enjoyed more had I actually ordered it well done instead of medium rare. Although the chef did manage to get the flavors to work, despite it being darn near burnt on one side and barely cooked on the other. I didn't dare send it back, as I didn't want to wait 30 more minutes to eat. The others in my party all enjoyed their meals, with one exception, one of us was brought salmon rather than the shrimp she ordered. They eventually brought her someone else's shrimp, which I'm sure upset whoever that was, but it appeased our party for the time being. We contemplated dessert, but with only one option, we opted out. Despite it being only 9:00 and the place being mostly empty by then, they sure tried to hustle us out of there, we probably would have drank another $75 or so in wine and beers, but with the staff hovering and repeatedly looking to see if anyone had put their credit card out, we decided the night cap would be better reserved for the comfort of our living room. Would I go back? Probably, but only because options are limited in this neck of the woods.
