Wow... A "Mexican" restaurant that you have to actually order chips and salsa in. There should be I sign at the door or have it in be bold letters on the menu. Food service slow and I don't think it is the wait staffs fault. Cooks so slow and food so under seasoned I wonder if they ever took a chemistry class and was introduced to salt. Their green chili sauce was thicken so much it was more like green chili pudding. The pocket of grease in the fried food burnt my mouth so bad I doubt I will be able to enjoy any meal today. (Including this one)

Pretty nice Mexican food in Farmington NM. I had the steak fajitas - delish, and my partner had a chicken burrito. It was a lot of food. Only three stars as no beer wine or alcohol served. Still a good place to eat.

Visiting family in Farmington, NM and was told that Los Hermanitos was amazing and that we needed to pay a visit. On Saturday night we all went as a family to Los Hermanitos and was seated in the back section of the restaurant away from everyone else which was nice because my family tends to get noisy. We were given chips and salsa while deciding what to order and it was delicious. The salsa was hot and seasoned perfectly. We then ordered our meals which was the Famous Breakfast Burrito smothered in green chile, the San Juan Combination Plate, and a side of Chile Verde. The breakfast burrito had bacon, potatoes, egg, and cheese inside and was smothered in the green chile, amazing. The San Juan Combination plate consisted of a chile rellano, a tamale, and a cheese enchilada which was also delicious! The chile verde was chunks of pork and green chile, almost like a sauce and it was perfect! It had the perfect amount of spice. Overall, my experience at Los Hermanitos was fantastic and I would recommend this place to anyone. The restaurant was very clean and orderly, and was very authentic! We had an amazing experience.

The food is average for mexican food. Eat-in because if you order out it becomes a mess. Then you try to resovle the problem with the manager and she laughs at you. Customer service and mangement need revamping.

Word of warning to travelers: if you are looking for a place to relax with a cold beer/marg after a day of hiking or driving, this is not it! I have never heard of a Mexican restaurant without a liquor license. Our B&B host recommended this restaurant as it is one of the only Mexican places in town (how this is possible in New Mexico escapes me). We decided to stay despite their lack of alcoholic beverage because the other restaurants in town appeared to close early (by 9pm on a Saturday? Truly bizarre). We all ordered combos, and were not impressed when the food came out. My chile relleno and enchilada were soggy, and my rice was super dry...as if they had been sitting out for hours. This place was definitely not something to write home about.

Had breakfast there this morning. I had the breakfast burrito, with sausage. Portion was such that I could not finish it all. It was very good, but I think maybe they used to be better there. My waitress was a little bit silly and slow to bring me my ticket. Overall, I was glad I stopped in.

I frequent this establishment every time I'm home in Farmington for their ridiculously delicious red chile burritos. .. shredded beef, bean & cheese, wrapped up in a warm tortilla absolutely smothered in red chile sauce with a touch more melted cheese on the top... served with rice and beans. .. these "Little Brothers" never let me down!!!

If you want authentic northern New Mexican cuisine this is the place. Whenever we come home, this is one of the first places we come. My partner always ask to eat here first. Great service and food as good as it gets!

The worst Mexican good I have ever eaten!!! I ordered a chilli relleno. The chili was from a can and it was stuffed with AMERICAN cheese and the batter was add inch thick. Please, please at least try to be a little authentic. This is New Mexico!!! Not a suburb in Any City USA!!!

When I go home for the holidays, Los Hermanitos is a definite stop I make. Good service and consistently good New Mexican food. I'd skip the breakfast burrito tho. There enchiladas and Sopapillas are fabulous. Been a staple in town for years.

This may sound crazy but it's hard to get decent Mexican food in Farmington. I have found that this place is the best they offer in this Gas & Oil town. The restaurant is like an elegant family style restaurant except that they have local business advertisements printed on the tables. The service is impeccable, the prices are fair and the food is really good, not super authentic Southwestern fare but good quality Mexican food as well as "Family Restaurant" menu items. Enjoy

This is my go to place when I am home visiting family. I ordered my usual stuffed sopapilla with ground beef and red chile. It was good. Not the best like when they opened up almost 20 years ago. The chile was not spicy and it was a little more greasy than I would have liked. It was still good. I ordered extra sopapillas and devoured them. The salsa was great but the chips were just ok. I would go back again cause I still like this place.

Very very good Authentic Mexican food. Enchiladas were great and the sopapilla's were out of this world good. I could have eaten a dozen! Service was a bit distracted and took a little too much time waiting on us, as well as bringing the check. Other than that was good food and great atmosphere. Would definitely stop again when in Farmington.

Stopped by here during a cross country road trip and were pretty disappointed. The food is edible but definitely NOT authentic - shredded iceberg lettuce and shaved marbled cheddar cheese were in all of our dishes, unmelted in the enchiladas and the seven layer dip. The plain sopapillas that come with the entrees are light and tasty with some honey, the one redeeming part of the meal.

Horrible customer service!!!!! I will never ever go back!! I can't believe that they charge for refills on sodas! I was on a ticket with some others and was concerned that whoever paid would have to deal with paying with my refills so I gave my waitress cash so my refills wouldn't affect the total on the check very politely gave her cash and told her to use the cash to take care of my refills. The next thing I knew, a manager came up to me accusing me of throwing money at the waitress!! I even had multiple tables saying that I never threw the money yet he still stated that I threw the money at her!! I liked the food there but due to the customer service of the horrible management, I will never, ever go there again!!!!! The treatment towards their customers will surely get them shut down in no time! No wonder why they are charging for refills.... Apparently they already aren't getting customers as it is due to the fact that they have to charge for soda refills! In my book, if you have to charge for refills, you are failing!! There is no reason as to why you should have to pay $1.12 for a refill!! Stay away from this horrid place unless you want to be treated very bad!!

This is my favorite restaurant to visit when I go home. Get the green chile chicken rolled enchiladas. Follow it up with the sopapillas and honey. Very good prices for authentic New Mexican cuisine.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
