I love this place very chill and relaxed place. The bar is in the middle of no where. Drinks are affordable from what i remember. This place is awesome!
Great place, and just like the other reviews say, it's just what the doctor ordered when you're driving through middle-of-nowhere, NM on your way to milder climes. COLD BEER is just outside of Cimarron, and so is the Philmont Scout Ranch, which is where we were headed both times we went down that way. Both times, a stop at COLD BEER was a must. The place is a bit small, but there is a huge outdoor area in back with a stage and everything. I've never seen live music but it looks like the place to be come summer time. Alas, both my excursions took place in the spring. Oh well. Great beers on tap and terrific pizza. We went there for "rib night" but they were out of ribs by 7:00! Bummer! They must be good, because there was just one table open when we got there, right by the door. We had sandwiches instead, which were pretty good. Not as good as the pizza, though. They have one called "The Kitchen Sink" or something like that - seriously loaded up with everything but. I highly recommend a stop at COLD BEER when visiting northen NM. It's worht a side trip for sure!
Coldbeer was the destination that kept me sane living in Cimarron. Roger, the proprietor is a great guy with a friendly demeanor and great stories. You can expect a full bar, and some decent beers on tap. Cold mugs and some good snack food. Coldbeer makes the best pizza in the county. The only pizza that comes close literally within 100 miles is Outback Pizza in Taos. Expect live music some nights during the summer season and trivia nights as well. These events are always fun and bring out some of the locals from Cimarron and surrounding areas. I've never seen the stars quite so well as I could in New Mexico and Coldbeer's giant back porch offers a great place to partake in such a practice with good people, good beer, and potentially great music.

We stopped for lunch at The Porch Deli, it was wonderful. I had 1/2 a roast beef sandwich on ciabatta with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion and a bowl of the best asparagus soup. My husband had an equally good turkey on ciabatta and potato salad. We each also had an incredible homemade cookie for dessert, it was so good I wished I'd gotten another one. The lady who owns and runs the deli was very friendly. We will definitely return. Do yourself a favor and stop by The Porch Deli when you find yourself in Cimarron.
Shannon runs a great sandwich shop on par with places many many many miles away. Everything is made fresh. The tea is sun-brewed and the feel is relaxing. I believe you're looking at cash only which works fine if you're passing through. My favorite has got to be their lentil and tomato-basil soups. Their lemonade is always refreshing and their roast beef sandwiches are great too. What they have from day to day changes depending on what they can get fresh so keep an open mind. I promise anything you order is made with soul and will be worth the experiment.
We have been to The Porch twice, once in 2007 and once in 2008; a family member has been many times. I anticipate eating there in 2009. ;-) The deli fare is fresh and tasty, and prepared with care. I have tried the sandwiches and have been very pleased. A pleasant diversion for Philmont visitors.

We had our 1st experience here last summer 2012..excellent fast food..must have some of their scrumptious creamy ice cream!!! Our favorite all year round!
Place is fairly good. Good tacos and a laid back atmosphere. Reminds me of a Sonic before they got into the whole drive-in idea. If you're hungry in a pinch, it's a decent stop.
Above average standard drive-in fare plus surprisingly good salads and grilled chicken. Cree-Me is in Cimarron aka last stop before Philmont Scout Reservation. As with everything in Cimarron, it looks a bit worn- which is misleading. Obviously a drive-in is perfect for a pack of boy scouts (and staff) to get their last shot at burgers, fries, and ice cream for two weeks. What is a pleasant surprise is that Cree Me is clean and friendly (let's face it, it's a captive market so they could get by with less), they have great salads (taco salad was amazing), and the chicken is real chicken breasts. I hadn't expected anything remotely resembling healthy or tasty.
