The Pit now sponsored by this business got me wondering about this joint. The concept is similar to Subway but the pizza ingredients are much better quality and the end product is even better. One of the crust options is hearty whole wheat, green chile is one of the veggies... Chorizo, andalouse sausage... What can I say, not your ordinary pizza place.

Love the idea of quick fast and personalize pizzas in lesson five minutes. We tried the gluten-free pizza and I was very impressed on how accommodating they were on my girlfriends gluten intolerance. Before they made the pizzas they cleaned all the stations cook areas even cutting stations. I have yet to see any restaurant take that much care and pride into their customers until now I definitely will be coming back great job.

Love This Place! They are fast, friendly, and accommodating for the discriminating foodie. I love that I can pick exactly what I want and get creative with it, and I especially love that they have a tasty, multi-grain crust. I think the pizza itself is a good value, but the salad is way over priced for what one gets. (hey, owners, if you serve a tiny salad, have a tiny price on it...) So, if you stick to just the pizza and skip the drinks and salad - its a great deal.

Oh dear GOD. Thank you for this most wonderful pizza place. Awesome service, welcoming atmosphere, simple ordering process, quick and scrumptious pizza. Will be back soon. That's a promise.

What's all the hype about. This crust is more like crackers than pizza crust. No taste to it at all. A little dab of this, a little dab of that and that's all you get. Pepperoni had no flavor to it, neither did the Italian sausage. The only thing you could taste was the green chili. Even the cheese had no flavor. Not going back.

Super weak - The pizza just isn't very good. The $8 for a 9 inch pie didn't bother me. It was the taste - it was nothing. The pies are bland with no seasoning. The marinara was like ketchup & even the pesto did not taste like garlic or basil. I tried the place twice just to make sure but the pizza has no flavor. The toppings were pretty good, but honestly not as generous as one would expect for an $8 personal pie - there were about 5 ounces of toppings. I can think of a dozen better places for a good pie in Albuquerque and the top half of that list I don't even get to because the top 5 or 6 are too awesome to pass on. If this place stays in business it'll be a miracle built on people who don't know pizza.

Don't. Just...don't. The concept is very cool, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. It's set up like Subway. You go along the line & pick out what you want on your pizza. No extra charge, as many toppings as you'd like. GREAT concept. The pizza itself is BORING. I got the regular crust, and it was just like a cracker. Makes me wonder what the THIN crust is. Very bland sauce. Just not worth it. If you're going to spend $5 on a pizza, go to Little Caesars & get a Hot & Ready. Or, spend a couple more bucks & get a Digiorno.

This place is right by my work, so I've been there a few times since it opened. I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. I'm not a fan of being yelled at when I walk in the door "HEY! Welcome to WISE PIES!" by every person behind the counter. A coworker of mine was so put off by that greeting she felt flustered and uncomfortable the entire transaction, rushed out and didn't get what she wanted. It's startling and insincere, not to mention total overkill. The pizza itself is pretty good. Lots of ingredients to choose from. I like the green chile alfredo sauce. The quickness with which it is ready is also an appealing factor, perfect for lunches. They have one of those cool coke machines where there's like a million flavors. The manager that I met on my visit today was rude and seemed like a total jerk. He spoke to me in a really off-putting, pretentious way -- chill out dude, you manage a fast food pizza joint. For what you get, the price is too high. The atmosphere is kinda off. The employees themselves are friendly enough -- but that one manager needs to go. I'm pretty ambivalent about this place -- the only time it's worth it is on Wednesdays if you take a friend -- 2 for $10! The place is convenient, the food is ok, but to get more bang for my buck (and if I have more time) I'll head to the Dion's right up the street.

Pizza was really good. I really like the option of being able to build your own pizza. Meaning I don't have to share with anybody. Lol!! Menu said $7.95 but was charged $6.95 per pizza, definitely a plus!! Staff was very friendly and business was clean. Minor mistake with 2 of our pizzas in the oven but they took care of us with free cookies and drinks.

Great flavor...but way overpriced for what you get. I ended up being pretty hungry after dropping $35 on a few pizzas for my small family. It felt like an appetizer instead of a meal. And WTF is up with changing the Pit's name? Stupid.

Having never been to the location on Alameda, this was our first experience with Wise Pies, so we weren't really sure what to expect. It's a small location (maybe 1/2 dozen tables inside, and another 3 or 4 outside), and when we arrived we were greeted enthusiastically by the staff behind the counter. Wise Pies specializes in individual sized gourmet pizzas, and as such has several different crusts, and sauces to choose from. My bf and I both chose their regular crust, and roasted bell pepper marinara sauce. I chose pepperoni, and capicola ham topped with fresh mozzarella cheese and some of their provolone blend mixed in for good measure. Last (but certainly not least), I had them top it off with black olives. When we got to the register, it was a little pricey (just under $22 for 2 pizzas, and 2 small drinks), but not unreasonably so. Since this location just opened they weren't very busy, and we had a chance to chat with (what I believe was) one of the owners. She, and all the other staff were very friendly, and the store was extremely clean. Our pizzas were ready in just a few minutes, and they arrived hot and delicious. I wasn't sure about the bell pepper marinara when I picked it, but it was definitely an excellent choice. Both pizzas were cooked to perfection, with the crust being thin, and just the right blend of crispy, and chewy. I'm not a gourmet pizza connisuer by any means, so I probably won't make Wise Pies one of my regular dining out choices, but overall, it was an excellent experience, and a decent value for our $$. Good food, good service, and a clean restaurant, make Wise Pies a good choice for a great casual meal.

As a life-long pizza connoisseur, I've had great pies and I've had some terrible pies. A wise person would stay away from these pies. And I wanted to like them -- a local chain that supports the local community couldn't make up for a mediocre pizza and abrasive service. Unfortunately, my experience at Wise Pies wasn't that great. First, the instant personal pizza concept is great, but the execution was lacking. I thought the pizza crust was tasteless and the pie could have used more sauce. The toppings were tasty, but only if they had them. I couldn't see the actual bins of ingredients, so I ordered off the menu. I was told they didn't have two items choices even though they were on the menu. Also, the green chile was the frozen kind that get from food service. I expect local fresh green chile when I order from a local joint in NM. I also fault the service. I understand the teenagers behind the counter have to wear a uniform and have a certain theme while they interact with customers (mobster theme), but I don't need to yelled at and not listened to when I request certain things. Bottomline: It's a local company with a good concept that seems to lack on quality and service. Go to another pizza joint.

Me and my family eat at the Riverside location every payday! We love it. Love the customized pizza and one of those coke machines that dispense every coke. Orange coke, diet mountain dew coke, strawberry Fanta coke! Mmmm! In Albuquerque we call all sodas coke.
