I'm a Yelper and I can't see how the negative reviews even happened here. The staff are even polite to each other. Yeah it's on Central... deal with it or go to Phoenix.

Very good place to have a great breakfast experience. The waffles, eggs and bacon were all very delicious and we'll made. The wait time was a lot less then I expected with a semi-full house. The Waffle House staff did a very good job at making sure everything was ok with excellent customer service.

I feel like WH gets a bad rap from people who have never eaten here. So I try to bring as many of them as possible. I just love this place. They use a simple approach to everything. And it works. Tables are accessible to servers from behind the line. Orders are called out diner style. Food is made immediately and you can see them making it. And holy smokes is it delicious. Grits and pork chops are two of my favorite things here. Food is here, gotta cut this short!

I haven't been to a Waffle House in years but for some reason we decided to stop in here this morning, and it was really great! My wife had an omelet and I had a waffle and hash browns Scattered and covered. Frankly I think they serve the best waffle. This place has survived recession and health kick phases yet it remains an American establishment no worse for the wear. If you're in the 505 and thinking of checking out this place just off ol' 66 I'd guess you'll enjoy your experience too.

I hadn't been to a Waffle House in decades and only tried this one because all the Yelp favorites had lines out the door. Blame the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Anyway, this was fairly near our camp site so we gave it a go. What a treat! The food was not only reasonably priced but it was very good. I had the All American breakfast with sausage, eggs, hash browns and toast. The waffle was perfect, though thin. I added a sausage biscuit which rivals McD's and my wife raved about her omelette. Service was fast, friendly and patient. (I kept asking about my waffle which came out last.). Although crowded, we were seated and served quickly. I don't know how the staff stays so cheerful because the joint was jumpin. All in all, a great breakfast.

As far as Waffle Houses go, it is what it is: a reasonably priced chain that serves up a fair to midline quality breakfast. You're not gonna be blown away by anything they serve here, but as long as you don't venture too far into the exotic you'll get what you pay for. In other words, don't do steak and eggs here, just keep it bacon and eggs. For their part the staff is friendly. It's s small space, you can't really hide from them, nor them from you. The menu is pretty simple, with pictures of the specials to make it even easier. In fact, the specials are probably your best bet taste/value-wise. I like to sit at the counter, but that's just me.

This place is a hit and miss..If any thing, you can people watch..WTF is with central that brings in the crack heads?? Got me..Were else in alb can you see a drug deal and a hooker make her money at the same time..lol Had to ask for a steak knife to eat my ham..The butter knife couldn't cut it ..Way bad..This would be a perfect place to film breaking bad..lol

Unless something major changes, I'll always like Waffle House. So I have a prejudice. My view is biased in favor of the place. I like all varieties of eggs-and-potatoes breakfasts. The last two visits cost me less than $7 including the tip. A little more with bacon or ham. It's industrial food. The only thing the chain could do is improve conditions for the chickens who produce the eggs served here. I think this location is better than the other Albuquerque location.

My husband I were traveling thru Albuquerque and stopped for breakfast at the Waffle House restaurant on the east side off of I 40. While waiting for our food we noticed a cockroach running across the stack of plates above the waffle irons.Then once our food was served I was eating,and start enjoying my meal. i picked up some of the Grits and there was a cockroach underneath my pile of grits staring at me upside down doing the dying cockroach. I would not recommend this place as it seems to be overly infested with cockroaches. For every cockroach you see there are a hundreds more hiding behind the walls.

Honestly the worst experience I've EVER had at a food establishment. First off when we walked in the place looked sketchy and had an uncomfortable feel. The staff could care less about being there my server actually said "sorry about the wait the cooks loosing his mind" lmao ya.... Now I want to eat my food. I went into the bathroom and there was piss all over the toilet and looked like a bathroom at a rundown motel. I order a coffee and I almost threw up. Another server walked over and said do you want the fresh coffee idk why he have you that coffee. ARE YOU KIDDING. The hash browns were burnt with a single slice of cheese on top, Discusting. The Waffle was a terrible tiny little undercooked piece of dough. If I was Mr. Waffle House I would be utterly embarrassed to call it my restaurant. DONT GO YOU MIGHT AS WELL GO TO THE GAS STATION AND GET FOOD!!!

get the same thing everytime, take home the same thing everytime................ all-star special, over medium, tomatos ( really like you can substitue these for hashbrowns ) ham, raisin toast and a pecan waffle............ eat eggs, tomatos and toast..........take the ham ( for the pup ) take the waffle ( for the kids, who always want chocolate chip but I can't order that, lol ) consistent, fast, friendly......these people are moving..........not a quiet place but very good.

This review is a little skewed, only because I am in love with Waffle House. Most people might not rate it as highly. They're not everywhere in the country so I can only have it when I travel. They use LOTS of butter on everything. I eat pretty healthy so when I eat there, the food tastes like cake to me. The servers (as usual) were friendly, courteous and seemed to really enjoy their work. The food is inexpensive and always cooked right in front of you. The place is older and the equipment is well used, but everything is clean and organized. Waffle House is a staple of the South that should definitely be experienced.

As a fan of waffle houses in general this one was only OK...I am not sure if the server we had was having a bad day or not however it did take a long time for her to call our order out to the cook, in fact we think she forgot about it all together. As usual the food at waffle house is always good and consistent!
