Yes, the only reason I came here was because it was used as a location for "Los Pollos Hermanos" in Breaking Bad, but then I ended up being impressed with the service and even the food (no, not fried chicken). They have the Pollos Hermanos logo on the wall and when they saw me taking pictures of it, a manager offered to take a picture for me, which was very cool. I ordered the breakfast special of the day, something with chicken and green chile and eggs, and it was really pretty tasty -- better than the same stuff they were selling me at The View in Monument Valley a couple of days earlier for a lot more money. Definitely worth a stop for the photo op, and if it's time for a meal, you might as well eat here, too!

Food portions are quite large and a bit dry so be sure to order double sour cream/guacamole with whatever you order! Los Pollos Hermanos!!

This place really embraces being a Breaking Bad attraction. Apparently their profits increased significantly ever since the show came out. They have posters around the place and the Los Pollos Hermanos logo is still on their wall. I got their twister burrito. They come in multiple sizes, but be warned that even the 1/4 size is fairly large. If you're not that hungry, go with the 1/8. You pick your meat and then choose which sauce you want - red or green. The burrito itself is just filled with the meat and beans - everything else is actually put on top of it with the fries and sauce, which was kinda interesting, though I think it would have been better if the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese were inside the burrito. It was really apparent that I was a Breaking Bad fan when I walked in because I had a giant camera. When I ordered, the cashier asked me if I would like to sit where Walter White sat, and she brought my order number to that table while I got my fountain drink. They also asked if I wanted someone to take my picture standing next to the logo. Three stars for the food itself, but an extra point for being appreciative of Breaking Bad tourists.

I came here with the Breaking Bad RV Tour, this was rebranded as Los Pollos Hermanos in later seasons of the show. Even though the tour is fairly new, I imagine that Twisters will start to get lots of traffic from fans of the show. That makes it all the more important that this place get their act together. The hallway to the bathroom reminded me of the Green Mile: a long walk where I knew that death and destruction lay waiting for me at the end. Seriously, the hallway was absolutely foul. The bathroom was almost as bad. They have a sign over the urinal saying you'd have to hold the flusher for 30 seconds to flush the toilet properly. Are you kidding me? Shut down the bathroom and fix the damn problem. Then, they're out of soap. It reminded me of a bathroom at 3am at an abandoned gas station halfway between here and the middle of nowhere. I wanted to go back into the RV, grab Jesse's hazmat suit and wear that back into the bathroom so I could do my business. Knowing that wasn't going to be an option, I held my breath as long as I could, peed, and ran out of the bathroom lightheaded from not breathing. The floors were dirty too. But after visiting the literal sh!thole that is their bathroom, who would even care? If this place didn't have such an awful bathroom, I'd consider giving it an extra star. Unfortunately, even the food was substandard. I ordered the chili cheese fries (before the bathroom debacle; if I'd gone to the bathroom first, I'd have run out of the restaurant as fast as my legs could carry me), which were all right at best. Even if I come on the tour a second time, I'll never set foot in this place again. This makes Taco Bell look like gourmet Mexican cuisine.

I visited her last spring while in town to check out the Breaking Bad sites. How can you not visit Los Pollos Hermanos?! We figured since it was also a real fas food joint, we might as well try it. It's not friend chicken, but there Mexican food was pretty tasty! I had the burrito and it was flavorful and a decent size. I think I prefer it to Chipotle and other Mexican chains we have on the east coast. I also love the fact that they had green chile, which you don't find a lot on the east coast. And for those Breaking Bad fans - they left up a Los Pollos Hermanos sign and have posters all over, and they don't mind if you take pictures everywhere.

Like most, I suspect, we drove to this location because it was used as Los Pollos Hermanos in the Breaking Bad series. Aside from the Twisters signage it looks just like it did in the show. They have BB signs inside and kept the Los Pollos painting on the wall too. You can sit in the booth that Walt sat in or the booth that the cartel twins sat in. The staff is more than happy to let you know which booth is which. Ok, so onto the food itself... The parking lot was so empty we thought maybe they were closed. When we first walked in the place smelled AWFUL. Like something rotting or like a toilet had overflowed. It was disgusting. We used the bathrooms and found them less than desirable but not too offensive. The whole place looked and felt grimy. It needs to close for a week and get a head to tail scrub down and refurbish. Even a simple coat of paint would go a long way. So, we decided to order some food (yeah, I know, can you believe it?). You can see through to the kitchen and we'd come all this way... Anyway, after a brief wait our chicken wrap came out accompanied by stale chips. The chips we did not eat but after tentatively tasting the warp, well, it was actually pretty darn good! Shocker, yes, the fried chicken bites were hot and tasty and overall it had a nice flavor. I'm not sure the source of the smell but it was so off putting I can see why no one was there. I doubt we'll ever go back but I'm glad we came if nothing else for the picture opportunities. And we didn't get sick from the food, lol.

Yikes, so this place gets 3 stars for being the infamous setting of Los Pollos Hermanos in the Breaking Bad series. To pay homage I went in an order some food. I had the chili cheese burger and chicken nuggets. Ah... I'm not sure what I ate but it didn't taste anything like what I ordered. The food is poor but the people are super nice!

  • Jayde I.

Had to check this place out as we are huge breaking bad fans but was disappointed in the food. I had the twister burrito with chicken as a lot of people had recommend it on yelp, but it was very underwhelming. The fries obviously get soggy from being smothered in sauce and everything tasted odd. I think I would go back but just order something else. Really cheap though :)

We went into Twisters to have lunch. Not only was it delicous but the staff went above and beyond. They were couteous and very friendly. I went to the counter to asked for thier names. I mentioned how nice they all were and they said it had to do with thier Manager Luz. Thank you Luz, for having such a wondeful crew. The names of these wonderful people that helped us were, Nidia, Heather,Jessica and Dominic. We will be back. Thank you for making it such pleasure....We went to the Twisters on north Coors and Ladera.

I knew this was THEE Los Pollos Hermanos breaking bad location they used in the series. Nice and clean restaurant with alot of popularity from the show. Even signed the book. It was great and fun to see all the people take pictures by the wall art. Now about the actual Twisters. Best customer service. Best burrito I've ever had. I got the Wednesday breakfast special with green sauce. I wish I lived around here to try a bit more variety. Love it!

Came here because we are HUGE fans of breaking bad.. Will be back because of the amazing food! The burrito was delicious! Who knew fries with a burrito would be as great as it was. The churros were just as amazing and FRESH! I wish that they sold pollos hermanos collector glasses - would definitley pay extra for them

    (4)
  • Tim S.

I'm not going to lie....I didn't come here for the food! I did order something (strawberry churro) but the main reason we came was because of Breaking Bad fame. Los Pollos Hermanos...Gus's joint! I ate my churro (it was alright..little crunchy/old), we took a couple of pictures and were out. Pretty cool stuff being able to sit in the same booth that Walter White once did!

First time eating here, definitely not going to be the last. Had the carne adovada twisters burrito with green sauce, absolutely phenomenal!!! Right amount of heat and the taste is indescribable. Love it!!!

Breaking Bad "historical marker," of Los Pollos Hermanos. Clean joint, and the crispy tacos are acceptable. That is all.

  • Jennifer C.

I can't comment on the food (though, our medium beverage of iced tea was absolutely refreshing), so this is really an ode to Twisters -aka- Los Pollos Hermanos as seen on Breaking Bad! What's a trip to ABQ for the annual Balloon Fiesta, without a quick stop at this iconic location?! We had a rental car and therefore zero excuse not to drop in to see where Heisenberg conducted his "pollo" business with Gus Fring. We spent no more than ten minutes here really, but it was worth the scenic drive from downtown Albuquerque to Isleta Blvd. There were other Breaking Bad fans who made the trek here for a photo-op with the Hermanos wall decal, and to sign the unofficial Twisters BB guestbook. Wait! Scratch that! It IS legitimately official because, scribbled atop the upper lefthand corner of this 1/2" black binder, is AARON PAUL'S signature ( i2.cdnds.net/12/37/618x6… ). Ah, yes, that brought me one step closer to Jesse and it was utterly worth it. Yeah, b*tch!!! I will say the service is great! Not only did one of the cashiers compliment me on my oxford flats, but another guy actually took the photos for us in front of the Los Pollos Hermanos wall decal. They were really super friendly. I was told by one of the locals earlier in the day as we inquired about the "Breaking Bad chicken place", that the portions are enormous, and I did see a bunch of people eating voraciously, so this Twisters must be the bombs for its greasy fast food as much as it is for its historic Breaking Bad relevance!!

  • Jason K.

Yeah, like everyone else, I came on a Breaking Bad cruise. The entire menu looked good, so I just randomly picked something my eyes settled on for more than a few moments. I got the Twister Burger, and it was pretty damn amazing. I was thinking it'd be like most other fast food joints, but was pleasantly surprised when it took a bit longer to get my food because it wasn't sitting there waiting for me, but cooked as I ordered it. Staff was great as well, and the place was nice and clean. I'm sure I'll be back.

Like everyone else leaving a review here, I came because I'm a huge BB fan, but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious my breakfast burrito was, especially for the price.

Came here on a road trip from San Francisco and made sure to eat here as well. My buddy and I tipped them pretty well and chatted the employee's up about BrBa for awhile, they gladly snapped a pic of us with the Pollos Hermanos sign and were very friendly. THE FOOD.... was also great! Had a chirizo burrito and it was great, sauce was good and everything was cooked perfectly. Would eat here again any day.

  • Doug M.

If you're expecting a good burrito, go elsewhere. It was bland, even smothered with red and green chiles, which were also bland. I think the only draw that keeps this place open is the Breaking Bad connection. I gave them 2 stars because the manager serving me was friendly and helpful ordering. The rest of the staff up front looked lethargic.

  • Kellee K.

Our first stop upon arriving in ABQ was Twisters, which is known on Breaking Bad as Los Pollos Hermanos. We ordered a "Christmas" Indian Taco (it was decent) and some drinks, we signed the guest book and took obligatory photos.

LOS POLLOS HERMANOOOSSSS! I really love the Breaking Bad series.. but I'm not here to comment on the show, but the actual location, Twisters! At first I thought it would be just those burger and fries competitors kind of place, but believe it or not.. this place has the amazing burritos! I could eat it everyday! carne adovada.. D E L I S H! I keep ordering that beauty everytime I come in here, but I also go to the other Twisters near home.. I have tried their burgers. good as well! but let me give you guys advice... get the twister fries! ah! meh zing!! it's not that oily, which is a good thing, it's crispy.. and they come in baskets, so it's a good deal for that much. and they're curled! oh I mean.. twisted! you guys have to come here if you're planning to try this place.. if you've been here before, keep coming back!

I hate to see a wonderful dining establishment brought down due to a fake review. So, here I am reviewing a fast food establishment. For those who are not fans of Breaking Bad, Hank S. is not a real reviewer. I am pretty shocked that the fake review went under Yelp's radar... guess they are not Breaking Bad fans (gasps). I stopped here on my "Unofficial Breaking Bad Tour." We initially stopped here just to take pictures because I am a huge nerd. We had just eaten a big lunch, but being the hardcore Breaking Bad fan I am, I had to support this local business and dine at Twisters for the experience. So, Chad T. and I ordered some enchiladas to share. We were actually quite impressed. The sauce was more flavorful than I could have ever expected from a fast food place. The enchiladas tasted great. The rice that accompanied them was also wonderful. For a fast food restaurant, I was surprised. Cool tidbit from the guy who worked there... Apparently, they get like 30-40 visitors a day (from all over the world) who come in just because of Breaking Bad. So, we are not the only crazies. We signed a guestbook and were signing next to people who had visited all the way from France. The guestbook was nuts. The guy working there also had some pretty rad stories to share about meeting the stars of Breaking Bad. All in all, pretty cool experience. If you stop at Twisters for a Breaking Bad tour, make sure to order something and support this local business.

I visited Twisters on a trip to Albuquerque for a wedding. If youre a fan of Breaking Bad, this is a pretty cool place to see! They even have the Los Pollos Hermanos logo when you walk through the door. Cool! I had a breakfast burrito here with green sauce and it was surprisingly good! The service was great too, helpful guy behind the counter. He later asked how our meal was going and happily took a picture for us. Great experience!

  • Stephanie N.

Ok so we came here for the Pollos Hermanos logo inside. But we felt weird to just go in there & take a picture, so we ordered food. My husband really enjoyed the avocado burger he ordered. And the kiddos enjoyed their enchiladas. Service was top notch. Nothing but smiles. And when they came by to check on how we were doing, they noticed the kids had to share the plate of enchiladas since they forgot to separate them. They came back w/ another plate of enchiladas for free so the kiddos wouldn't have to share.

We went here while we were on vacation for the photo-op which was a lot of fun the food was mediocre but not horrible the green sauce was kind of gelatinous which was weird.

  • Gretchen C.

Guilty as charged. Passing through town and thought we'd stop and have dinner, as hubby is a Breaking Bad fan. 2 stars for the food, add one for the service and atmosphere. We each had something different. The amount of food for the value is huge- could easily make 2 or 3 meals of it- but it really wasn't anything special.

  • Neal T.

Very clean restaurant. I had no expectation of good food. I just walked in because I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan. But the burger and fries were actually pretty good. The staff was really cool, too. I felt very welcome to be there. I'll say this. If you just want some cheap food that is pretty good, stop on by. If you're a fan of Breaking Bad, you'd be pretty disappointed to visit Albuquerque without seeing this place.

  • Haily H.

Take a picture. Don't eat. If you're a huge Breaking Bad fan, go ahead and live out your dream right now. Take all the pictures you need with the Los Pollos Hermanos logo inside then leave. The food is absolutely terrible. I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito. Hard to mess up a simple bean burrito, right? Anything is possible here. The beans were luke warm, the cheese was not melted, and the tortilla was cold.

    (1)
  • John F.

Yes, this is pollos hermanos. Staff was very friendly, place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I was disappointed that it wasn't a fried chicken place, but I can't fault the restaurant for that. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a chicken taco. The taco was flavorless and I didn't bother to finish it. Seasoning on the breakfast burrito appeared to consist entirely of salt. It was serviceable, but not great.

Finally found this place! Came all the way from Los Angeles and it was totally worth it. Took a whole bunch of pictures and hung out there and talked with the cashiers for a bit. Pretty fun times. Didn't want to leave empty handed so we bought some sodas and some apple bite thingies, pretty yummy.

I went to the Twisters Drive Thru in the afternoon and ordered a South Valley Burrito handheld. I had to wait for a long time even though there was not a line. I was told they normally do not have eggs already cooked in the afternoon. So they needed to make it fresh. Well, when I tasted the burrito it was so salty it was inedible. There was also a lack of red chilli in the burrito.

I was driving through Albuquerque, New Mexico and had to come to THE "Pollos Hermanos" restaurant that appears in Breaking Bad. After some online research and confirmation from fellow New Mexican yelpers I confirmed that this location was in fact the one. I don't know their hours but they were opened at 9 am and their breakfast and lunch menu are extensive. I ordered the two egg breakfast and my brother ordered the Indian Taco. The Indian Taco looked delicious and my brother said it was delicious, but he didn't share. It was the manager's recommendation and it seemed not to disappoint the bro. If you're a coffee freak DO NOT get the coffee here, it's kind of bad. The manager figured out I was a fan of the show when I asked if I could have a cup without actually having ordered a drink. He let me "have" one if I just payed for the refill price of a drink. After asking him some Breaking Bad questions he was polite enough to ask me what season I was so as not to ruin the plot for me. I mean what a nice guy! So thoughtful and a fan of the show! He had us sign a "Breaking Bad" guest book and we noticed there were people from as far away as Europe who made the pilgrimage to Los Pollos Hermanos. Just as we were finishing up our meal 4 Belgian 20-somethings strolled in to take pictures of the Hermanos logo. If you're a fan of the show and find yourself in Albuquerque you HAVE to come and dine here!

When my wife said we'd be taking a trip to see her Dad and Step-Mom, my first thought was I would be staying home. After finding out we would pass through Albuquerque on the way, I decided to do some research into the Breaking Bad filming locations. Enter Twisters. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the manager (I forget his name, but a very nice gentleman) and he answered any questions we had about the show, the food, and the area in general. He suggested I try the New Mexico Chicken Sandwich, which was excellent. It came with a boatload of really tasty fries, and the chicken was perfectly tender. My wife got an Indian Taco which she fell in love with immediately. The place was clean, the other employees (besides the manager) were very friendly, and we just had a great time. The icing on the cake was when the manager pointed out the place next door had an ostrich (which my four year old son loved) in the yard. As I shook the managers hand to thank him for the service, he passed me the prop meth candy from the show and said "From Gus." I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back.

So I actually put the following as a "Tip" but it should have actually been a review, but it could be both. As I could care less about the Breaking Bad aspect of a restaurant this review was just from my observations & my star rating is being extremely generous. $2.50 for a large drink? Wow!! It's no wonder the parking lot was empty in the middle of the day. The place also has a weird odor that I couldn't quite place. I think that it was something between grease & heavy duty pest control chemicals. All I got was a drink and that's all I believe that I want from this place although I'm probably taking a chance with that. I've lived in Albuquerque for 16 years & this was the first time I'd ever been in Twisters & I'm certain that it'll be my last. Oh yeah, I worked on Breaking Bad & there are much better places closer to downtown to grab a bite to eat.

  • Claire V.

Los Pollos Hermanos. Though Twisters is not a chicken place and the food sucks. I got nachos here and they were less than mediocre, plus they were practically cold when I got them. Strange, considering how long it took them to make it (in an empty restaurant). Clearly they're coasting on their Breaking Bad fame. Take a picture outside and leave!

    (1)
  • Nancy M.

Don't go for the food, go because it's Los Pollos Hermanos! My hi so loved the burgers, but my indian taco was god awful.

  • Aaron R.

Like many, I went to Twisters because it was portrayed as Los Pollos Hermanos on Breaking Bad. I was really happy with my experience here. The restaurant embraces its legacy and is tourist-friendly with tons of BB logos and items throughout the store. I was able to get many pictures. The food was also really good and inexpensive - Gus would be happy to know that it was to my satisfaction. This place is a must-visit if you are a fan of the show.

  • Alice L.

The first time I came here, I came solely to take pictures of the restaurant due to its appearance in Breaking Bad and left. I didn't think I would ever come back but we were in town and my friends, also Breaking Bad fans, wanted to check it out and since it was sort of close to the airport and we had to get a quick meal in, we decided to try the place out anyways. I didn't realize that this place didn't sell fried chicken. I figured it being Los Pollos Hermanos in the show that it would sell some, but I guess fast Mexican food is okay. I didn't go in with high expectations just because both times I went, we were basically the only patrons there. I ordered the South Valley breakfast burrito since it was recommended. Pricing is pretty cheap, what you would expect with any fast food restaurant, but portions are HUGE! Their burritos are definitely larger than what you would expect, and overall, looking at all of my friend's dishes, it's best that you share a plate (unless you're really hungry). I did enjoy my breakfast burrito. Simple but satisfying. Because it is a fast food joint, you shouldn't expect top notch Mexican food. Service is also very, very slow. For us being one of 2 parties in the restaurant, food took maybe 10-15 minutes to come out which is somewhat disappointing for a fast food restaurant.

    (4)
  • James C.

Los Pollos Hermanos and they don't serve fried chicken or rotisserie chicken?!? Oh wait that's right this is Twisters, basically they serve Mexican food, and it was delicious! Note: I think this place will do so well if they put some fried or rotisserie chicken on the menu.

    (5)
  • Heather K.

The burger and fries were so good! We came here as Breaking Bad fans and we were very pleased they let us take pictures and goof around. I love that they kept the sign up! Really made our day!

    (5)
  • Fo B.

Yes I'm a rabid BB fan, but yes this place is great fast food Mex. The people are very nice, the 1/8 burrito was a MASSIVE bowl full of goodness (think Rochester NY garbage plate with a SW accent, omg...). The salsa my companion had with her tacos was so good that we both drank it out of the cup. Seriously, whatever your opinion of Gus Fring is, go to this place. Then go across the street and have an aqua fresca. I guarantee that the food will be to your satisfaction.

Came here because of Breaking Bad. Had a taco and some tea. Both were really good. Clean place. They have a Los Pollos Hermanos logo you can take your picture next to. Worth the trip. Breaking Bad fan must! Will be back next time I'm in the ABQ.

    (4)
  • Amy L.

Love. Love. Love. My husband and I are huge Breaking Bad fans, and no Breaking Bad themed trip to the ABQ would be complete without a trip to Twisters. Great ambiance. Wonderful service. Yummy food.

  • Corey H.

So I was visiting ABQ and had some time to kill. As a Breaking Bad fan, I had to come by Twisters, aka Los Pollos Hermanos. They have embraced the show and have stuff to look at from the show. I did order food because I didn't want to be rude. The food was actually pretty darn good. I was impressed. The red chili sauce was REALLY good. If I lived around here, I would frequent this place just for the food. The service was friendly as well.

My husband are HUGE fans of the show Breaking Bad so we decided to eat here where they had filmed parts of the show. Service was awesome and the smothered burritos were delicious. We signed our name in the binder they have on the front counter and we were shocked at how many people came from all over the world , most likely just because they had seen the show! Amazing! Def will be back for more delicious food !

  • Matthew D.

I came here for the Breaking Bad experience (this is Los Pollos Hermanos in the show) and got more than I expected. The place serves burgers and burritos for the most part, along with their signature item, the Twisters Burrito. It's a burrito (chicken, beef, carne adovada or bean & cheese) topped with curly fries, cheese, red or green chile, lettuce and tomato (hold for me). It comes in four sizes; full, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8. I got the 1/4 with carne adovada and red chile and it was plenty of food. Now I'm not generally a fan of fries or wet burritos but I have to say, it was a pretty good combination. Curly fries with cheese and red chile might be my new favorite way to eat fries. And the burrito was pretty tasty, too. The red chile was the kicker, though. It was spicy and flavorful. Albuquerque is a chile town and I'm no expert, but Twisters has a pretty damn good version of the red. The staff was very friendly and attentive, kind of like how they portray the Los Pollos staff in Breaking Bad. I chatted with one employee about the show and how it has affected business. He said they have had fans visit from as far away as France! And he was kind enough to take a picture of me in front of the Los Pollos mural by the front door. If you visit for Breaking Bad, be sure to stay and support the business- you won't be disappointed!
