Best donkatsu in town. Definitely check out this hidden gem. It's tough choosing something over relish, which is next door, but this is definitely worth it.

Bog standard cuisine, drab 50s American decor, helpful waitstaff. I am not sure what other yelpers were raving about. The fried calamari was somehow textureless, and the salad that came with my bento consisted solely of iceberg and dressing. Teriyaki chicken was not terrible, but nothing to write home about....

This place is not authentic Japanese but they totally surprised me by making a great Tonkatsu dish! It's a fried pork cutlet with rice and shredded cabbage. Yummy, crispy...dang.

A great Japanese restaurant. Reminds me of Japanese Kitchen only quite a bit cheaper. I love the teriyaki steak or chicken. Great fried rice and the most savory teriyaki sauce I've ever had. Everyone that works there is so incredibly friendly. Annie and her sister are great waitresses/hostesses. Annie recognizes my voice every time I call in my order and has put in her memory exactly what I order and exactly how I like it. The cook (not sure his name) always waives to me and thanks me for coming in. I'm not a big sushi guy but the sushi I've had from there has been very good. Everyone should support this local business. The people that work at Tokyo Kitchen are wonderful people that truly care.

I've been to this restaurant several times the last year. It's a Japanese restaurant run by Cambodians. I've never tried their sushi but the other dishes are good. If you like mussels, I would recommend their baked mussels. I order it every time. So yummmms. Like others have said, the portions are huge and I always end up taking some home. The staff is super nice and the cook will come out to talk to you when it's not busy. Definitely recommending this place.

I am 100% oblivious as to how this establishment is receiving such high reviews. I just don't get it! Granted, we did not try everything on the menu, but of what we did, meh. Mind you, I do not want to pile on, so I'll return one more time maybe and try some sushi, which I admittedly did not try. If it's out of this word, I'll re-evaluate and score accordingly. However, for now, let's start with the bad OK? This way I'll end on a good note. The décor is horrendous!! Seriously, what are/were they thinking? Don't get me wrong, I do not expect it to look like Cesar's Palace, and I do not expect to be served on fine china and in tiffany glassware, but this was pathetic! I know, I know, harsh yes, but come on! As you enter you see dark and drab walls, zero art/pictures on the walls to speak of, a plain dark concrete floor (not the trendy stained concrete), but the entire dinning area was depressing. Then as you sit in a booth, very uncomfortable, and aren't booths supposed to be the comfy spots to sit? So at this point I'm still trying to have an open mind and hope for the best. The service wasn't bad mind you, but it wasn't good either. Friendly/cordial wait staff yes, but it took an easy 30 minutes to get our food. And there were only three tables in there; no way it should have taken that long. It just really set a sour mood from the get go. Gyozo arrives and we're digging it! Hot, fresh, crispy and very flavorful. The dipping sauce had the perfect amount of spice to it and yes, we're thinking things might improve. Then the main dishes arrive. The fried rice: well...it was just off. I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out that familiar taste, and it dawned on me. Jasmine rice! They used jasmine rice for their fried rice, which just overpowered the overall flavor of the fried rice. Now some of you can square me away if I'm mistaken, but is jasmine rice generally used in Japanese restaurants? Or did they run out of normal sticky rice? Regardless, it wasn't doing it for me. Heaven forbid, I hope they weren't using jasmine rice for the sushi? Chicken teriyaki: not bad, nothing to get excited over either. Small pieces of chicken and a little on the dry side. The seafood dish, which the name escapes me at the moment, not bad either, but nothing to rave about I assure you! The yakisoba: Rockin! Yes they finally redeemed themselves a bit with that, we loved it! So there you go, ending on a good note! However, the experience was not worthy of a repeat visit in my opinion, hence my rating. However, I will return one more time for a bento box and maybe see if they had an off night. But in my opinion, if they're making any money at all, they need to invest it into the dining area; it needs a facelift big time!

I am a regular here. For the price, their Teriyaki Chicken (use the ginger sauce for extra goodness) is one of the best in town. Also recommend the Udon, I'm not a huge fan of their sushi, but the teriyaki chicken keeps me coming back again and again

Ok- plainly put this place is horrid. The decor was simple and clean which I like, however it was dated and oddly not matching for what type of establishment this is- felt like the seating came from a burger joint and was put into a hair salon then a spray coat of Asian flair...... odd The service was good. The sushi SUCKED!!!! Paper thin cuts of fish with oddly old tasting rice. My wife had a chicken bent box and I had a beef- I had stomach issues that evening into the next day.

Good taste, its fairly authentic flavored Japanese, for a place without any Japanese working there (mostly Thai). The sushi is good but not excellent. I would highly recommend the Grilled Salmon Bento, I've had it easily 20 times, it rarely disappointing.

Ambiance - Meh. American diner-style decor (complete with sports TV in the background) with some Asian brick-a-brack. Also, when I went there for a weekday lunch, the place was virtually empty. Not very reassuring. Service - Good; in spite of the casual look of the place, it's a standard sit-down restaurant, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. This place is definitely not run by Japanese, though. Food - This counts the most for me, which is the reason for the high rating: I was very impressed with the bento box meal (teriyaki chicken) I received. The chicken, veggie tempura, 4 California roll pieces, orange, salad, miso soup, and rice on the side made this a fairly large tray of yummy food, arranged very artfully. If I'd known how filling the bento box would be, I wouldn't have also ordered a caterpillar roll - which was the only disappointment of this meal. Though the eel and the sauce was tasty, the roll had obviously been wrapped up in plastic and stored a day or so. The avocado on top was still green but definitely NOT fresh - unpleasantly flavorless and mushy. Major downer. So ultimately, can't vouch for the sushi here, but the bento box was definitely worth a repeat visit!

Not greasy. Comes straight right from the grill. You can even see the kitchen and chefs, so you know it's fresh. Miso soup is salty. Salad is tasteful with the ginger sauce, but comes with iceberg. Overall the main dishes are delicious and plentiful. Your sure to go home with a doggie bag for the next day's lunch.

First of all, this place is not authentic Japanese food so don't expect it to be. However, you shouldn't take it off your list immediately. The service is great, you are greeted and seated immediately. Also, the food portions are kind of generous. The food tastes good, however it is not really Japanese food.
