First off, I rarely give any establishment 5 stars. But The Egg & I earned all 5 inY opinion. The staff is friendly and attentive. They serve rainforest certified coffee, and the coffee was brewed well, not as strong as I prefer but still had a good flavor. The menu had ample choices for those of is who prefer healthier fare. I had the Veggie Benedict and fruit cup, and it was very good! I highly recommend The Egg and I!

I've lived in ABQ for 3.5 years now and today was the first day I visited this place. The food was really good and the environment was good too!I I definitely recommended it.

Service was very bad. My husband waited 10 minutes before the waitress came around to refill his glass of water. I also noticed other customers waiting a ridiculous amount of time to be waited on and receive their food. My husbands order was wrong but they did fix it quickly. Food was okay. Would have been better off going to Denny's. I will not eat here again.

Good food, portion was good. Had the lunch soup and salad, great on a Sunday. Staff was fabulous! Definitely coming back.

My friend and I came on a Thursday around noon. It was very busy but we were seated writhing two minutes. Our food was out in 3 minutes after we ordered. The food was soooo good. It was served hot and was perfect. I ordered the veggie Benedict and and my friend ordered the Mexican skillet. He said the chile was perfect. A+++

My boyfriend and I had breakfast and our server, Craig, was great. Our experience was wonderful until we were paying for our meal. The hostess, with black and red hair didn't look at the ticket Craig wrote on for our adjusted price. She had to void out the ticket and ran my credit card again but was not happy. It takes one person to ruin a perfect outing. Maybe she should work somewhere else instead of hating to work there.

Met my aunt and uncle here while we were in town on our Chicago to Phoenix road trip. I really enjoyed this place and was excited to learn there's one in the south Chicago burb too! 1) The coffee. It was spectacular. Some sort of almond flavor or something - I'm not quite sure as my aunt ordered it before we got there, but it was so good. I had to exercise retraint knowing I was getting in a car for the next 10 - 13 hours... 2) The hollandaise. I love eggs benedict, but I don't particularly care for hollansaide (weird, I know.) I always order it on the side, but I rarely use it. This was not the case with the hollandaise here. It was fantastic. I loved the use of dill in the sauce, and I actually used it on my eggs! 3) The waitress was so friendly and her service was top notch. It was some of the best, more friendly service I think I've ever had. She was the one who informed me there was a Chicago location. I will definitely be checking out the location near me soon!

I love their waffles! My only personal drawback is that there are not more vegan options. If you are an omnivore, this is the place for you.

  • Cheryl S.

Clean, bright. Most importantly, great tasting food. Had an omelette with spinach, portobello mushroom, and bacon inside, and hollandaise sauce on it. It came with English muffin and a choice of either grits, fruit, or potatoes. Will definitely go back!

Love this place. My favorites are the Belgian Waffle and the Arizona Turkey. The staff is pretty friendly too!

My office and I went for breakfast a week or so ago. The hostess was super nice and friendly. After that everything went downhill. Our waitress visited us once- to take our order... then someone delivered it, cold. We'd waited so long for it and never saw anyone in order to tell them it was cold. Upon leaving- the hostess gave us 10% off one of the meals because it was cold. (Hardly worth it). I promptly sent an email to them explaining our terrible experience and never got so much as an apology. I'm pretty sure that's the last time any of us will eat or recommend this establishment!

Very friendly, family feel to the service. I was quickly seated and both my drinks and food came out very fast. The menu had a lot of options, and they were more than happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions (no egg yolk, gluten, dairy). Food was hot, presented well, and well seasoned. I'll be back tomorrow and on future business trips to Albuquerque!

Lovely little spot, wonderful service. Breakfast burrito with salsa verde was light and perfectly prepared. Great diversion during a long road trip.

Best omelet I've ever had! I ordered the spinach, mushroom and bacon omelet with cheddar cheese, I highly recommend it. Our waitress Judy is so friendly and gave us tons of options for places to check out while in NM.

After a night that I thought scarred Albuquerque for me, we found this little gem. Apparently there are others like it, but this one is so charming and every employee we encountered from hostess, to our server (Julian - he was the best) to the I think manager, they were all great and polite and made me restore my faith in Albuquerque. I honestly didn't think it was possible. I ordered just eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast and everything was prepared to perfection and served quickly. Julian kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok. Thank you Eggs and I for making me like Albuquerque, you deserve a medal!

Had brunch here with my wife and our friend. Wait for our table was shorter than quoted by the host (~20min) which made our brunch date that much better. Wifey and I ordered the Flapper which is essentially pancakes and eggs. I like my eggs medium and they were cooked to order. Pancake was just how I like them- big and fluffy. Coffee is so-so but our waitress made up for it with attentive service. The only downside to our visit to Egg and I was the lipstick on my coffee cup (yuck).

I met up with a friend for brunch. She was running late and so I ordered some turkey sausage and an English muffin whilst I waited. The muffin was burned and I should have sent it back, but for some reason I didn't, but the turkey sausage was very good and I would highly recommend it. I then had the chicken salad for lunch proper and it was pretty good, fresh ingredients and a great dressing. My friend had the chicken salad sandwich on cinnamon raisin bread and that was excellent - I would totally get that on my next visit. The restaurant was very clean, the manager/owner was there that day and was very keen to know how everything was tasting. They have a very extensive menu and so I think you could go back a number of times and try lots of different dishes.

This was a totally fine place to stop for breakfast. It's your average fare, but luckily has healthy options for anyone who doesn't want to go in to a sugar or calorie coma too early in the A.M. Our waitress, hostess and the like was average--attentive, nice, but not going above and beyond which was totally fine--it was 6:15 A.M. on a Friday, none of us wanted to be up that early. My omelet was good, the salsa had a nice kick to it and I got a free cup of coffee for checking in on Yelp! I always like Yelp offers, they're little pleasant surprises. I'd suggest stopping here if you need a place to stop and don't want to do the usual Denny's-esque stop. The decor is homey, the staff is nice, and the meal won't make your stomach hurt!

Probably the most 'small town' restaurant I've ever eaten at (I mean this in a good way). In the booth beside me, a couple of mothers were talking about childrens softball and bears eating the contents of their gardens. Waitress was really nice and friendly, food came quickly. Three different people who I didn't know wished me a good day as I left. New Mexico, come for the meth, stay for the sandwiches. The Apple Walnut sandwich (with a small cup of soup) was an easy going breakfast that'll keep you going for most of the day. All of that for $10 (including a tip) ain't bad at all.

Breakfast was very good, delicious. Unfortunately, if you like traditional hash browns with your eggs, they don't serve it. That part is sad. No hash brown potatoes. The potatoes they serve are good, but there is nothing like the stringy texture that hash browns give you. Their fried mash potatoes would be better if they offer traditional English bubble & squeak.

Fast, friendly and flavorful food! The menu has a lot to choose from. Don't let it overwhelm you. I had the Vera Cruz omelette. The chicken was tender, the green chili was not too hot and the avocado was fresh. It was delicious. Loved the range potatoes. They were seasoned just right and crisped to perfection. I'm definitely coming back be next time I'm in town.

My wife and I stopped here on our way through Albuquerue earlier this month. I vehemently disagree with any suggestion that this place has a corporate feel to it....yes, it is not a hole in the wall diner, but I think you can serve a good breakfast in a nice restaurant without having to necessarily be corporate. I even noticed the "seating cards" that another reviewer complained about....they looked like they were all designed by the individual servers and I thought it was a fun way to keep track of who got the next table....this is FAR from big corporate chain breakfasts. Food was really good - my biscuits and gravy had a really nice spice to them which I loved. The coffee was excellent (make sure you check in on yelp and get it for free). My wife had one of their specialty iced coffees which she loved as well. As with any good breakfast, the portion was too big to finish and we left full and happy. Service was excellent as well. My only con was the pricing...I think they were a little above the price point for what they should be charging for breakfasts...not way above, just on the higher side. If you stay at the Sheraton (right next door) - this is a must eat for morning breakfast without even having to get in your car.

I had high expectations for this place. I wasn't real impressed with the food or service; for the price. It was okay but for the price it should have been better. It's comparable to a Denny's or I hop but 2x the price. The atmosphere is plain but nice. I had so many different people approach my table; I wasn't sure who my server was by the end of my meal.

Tasty waffle and ok eggs! The waffle was cold, but still very tasty. I probably could have eaten two. The eggs were a bit greasy and oily. They only have ranch potatoes :-( which is a downside for hashbrown lovers like me. They have a nice coffee selection and give you a carafe at your table!! I checked-in here and one coffee was free! It was a nice place to have a meal with my bro and I would like to give it another chance :-)

Pretty solid, better than Wecks, service was above average, food was about 4stars, service about 4.5, ambiance was also 4.5. I guess i should give them 5 stars, but I try to reserve that. good toast and real (not packaged, which i understand is expensive) jam would have pushed them into the 5 star realm. prices are not "abq cheap" (i'm from CA) but reasonable for what you receive on your plate. all in all, worth your while.

Food was very tasty. My boyfriend ordered huevos rancheros and said it was very good. I had the special of chicken fried steak with eggs. Ironic it was my eggs order that they messed up, is ordered scrambled with cheese and they brought over easy with shredded cheese on top. It was still a very good meal. Pricey for breakfast but big portions so we both took half home with us. Next time we will probably split a dish.

I had some iffy experiences here in the past, but brunch today was excellent! Very friendly staff, seated right away, food was excellent. I had French toast and eggs, both came out perfect. All 4 in my party were satisfied. My advice is go on weekdays like we did today to avoid crowds and long waits.

Glad this chain made it to Albuquerque. Met friends here for Saturday brunch and ordered the crab benedict. While the crab taste was a little overpowering, the combination was not too bad. My friend who ordered the Parisian benedict was extremely satisfied. Good service and decent food. I will return.

Very good place for breakfast that we've been to several times. The egg dishes are all quite good (as the name would suggest). The pancakes are good too. If they needed a bonus point (they don't), they'd get one for the crackers handed to kids when they get in (smart... very smart). The one downside is that it can get crowded on weekends. But so do the other options around.

Our new breakfast spot! The waffles are light and fluffy and delicious, as was the corned beef hash--even my 19 month old ate her bacon, eggs, and what she could salvage from her waffle after her mommy kept on "tasting" it. I know. Bad mommy. But it's ok, because there was plenty of food--not so much where you're already full once you see the heap on your plate, though. Lastly, the service was great. Very pleased with this place!

Yum yum yum! One of my girlfriends suggested during my #AcrossAmerica roadtrip to stay in the ABQ uptown area. We were thankful that The Egg & I was immediately next door to our hotel since they did not offer complimentary breakfast. It wasn't crazy busy when we walked in, so we were seated immediately. Be sure to check in with Yelp and you'll get a free cup of [delicious] coffee! I tried one of their California specials while my mom went a plain jane option. Both of us were full by the meal's end, and satisfied with our service.

A really good restaurant for breakfast. I woke up around 9am starving and it was one of the closer restaurants to the hotel where I was staying. So I took a quick walk over. I was sat immediately. My waiter was very knowledgable and attentive. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and the Colorado Jack Scramble with bacon, toasted English muffin and the pork green chili. The food portion was decent. I expected a little more for the price I was paying. The Arnold Palmer was just OK. The waiter could've told me that the lemonade and tea were both unsweetened, so that was an unwanted surprise to my taste buds. I'd probably stop by here again when I'm in Albuquerque to try their brunch.

Went on a recent Thursday morning, waitress was sweet. Hazelnut coffee was pretty darn good. Food took a long time to come out for the amount of people that were there. Boyfriend ordered the Eggs Benedict, when he cut into it the whites were still clear. Waitress came to check on us he showed her and she says 'oh that almost never happens' apologizes and takes it away. As I began to dig into my raspberry granola pancake, about three bites in there's a hair. A small one, an eyebrow hair maybe? Sorry to get graphic, anyway I cut away that portion and kept eating because I was starving. About 15 minutes later they bring back out another Eggs Benedict and the waitress informs us that her manager said to order the eggs poached well next time, because otherwise they come out with runny whites. Seriously? Can you say salmonella? At least one of us orders eggs Benedict every time we go out to breakfast (every weekend...) and that is ridiculous. I wasn't aware poached eggs meant runny clear whites...so word to the wise if you don't want to spend 3 days throwing up or potentially die, say 'poached well done' at The Egg and I. He ate the new Eggs Benedict, nothing special, pretty standard. My hairy pancake was good (I never mentioned anything because I didn't feel like waiting another 15 minutes) it was super filling, about 1/2 of it's in my fridge as I type this. But now thinking about that hair I'm not so interested in revisiting the leftovers... 'checked in' for the free coffee, waitress wrote it on the ticket, the guy who rang us up noticed, says thanks for doing so, then proceeds to not actually take the coffee off of the bill because he decides to strike up a conversation with the man in line behind us. I'm all for multitasking, but at least do it efficiently. He was 'busy', and I didn't want to wait for him to void it and re-do it or whatever he would have to do, so we just left.

Typically run of the mill breakfast joint. The menu doesn't offer anything egg-citing (ha). We ordered a variety of things: chicken fried steak, eggs Benedict, and turkey sausage breakfast platter. Everything was very average and bland. They serve "ranch potatoes" aka cubed potatoes instead of hash browns which, for me, is a deal breaker. They also offer a "green chile sauce" as an option to top their potatoes... frankly it looks like gravy and tastes no where near what we are used to here in New Mexico Conclusion: I agree with the other reviews that it gives off a "corporate vibe." Go here if you're desperate. But stick to the local places like Weck's or Barelas Coffee House if you can.

My wife and I avoided the expensive hotel breakfast. We were surprised by the small town feel of this restaurant it was great food and good service too!

Very good eggs & sausage. Waffles are light & crispy; the syrup is light - not heavy. (Our server was Virginia - loved her!) Everything was clean & tidy, too. We'll make this a regular stop!

Two thumbs WAY down. The food was not great. I definitely regret eating here instead of the hotel next door...I ordered an egg omelet off the supposedly "healthier" choices-it was drowning in oil. It came with an english muffin, drowning in butter. The kids food was exactly what you would expect and the oatmeal was fine. The big problem was when I ordered a LARGE milk to go for the bottles. After a VERY long wait, the hostess came back with a cup half full, apologizing for the fact that in order to heat the milk, she could only fill it halfway. I immediately said, okay, but I'd like the cup filled since I ordered a large. She gave me a look, then I waited again several minutes while she sat people and closed checks. No problem. I needed warm milk so I was patient. Several minutes later, she came back and said she her manager said would have to charge me for another cup (EVEN THOUGH MY CUP WAS ONLY HALF FULL). What a joke. When you order a LARGE, and pay $2.88 for a cup of milk, what place brings you a half filled cup and calls it a day? IN WHAT UNIVERSE would that be okay, and not to mention, if the manager wanted to charge more, come say it to my face. I just ate your crappy food in your tired restaurant. The least you can do is come out and talk to me if you want to charge me MORE when I just paid nearly $3 for a half full cup of milk. I would never eat here again, and I would avoid it at all costs. If I were on my way to meet my Maker, and this was to be my last meal, I would rather go hungry. Customer service is very poor.

Tried it once, no intention to visit again. Feels too much like a typical chain restaurant. And, despite being in New Mexico, served sour cream with their chile on my huevos rancheros. Not that that is a terrible thing... but we're not in the midwest here. Service was all right, but, like I said, the whole place gave off an insincere corporate vibe. Very superficial.

  • Matthew E.

A very standard breakfast, better than hotel food I guess. The waffle wasn't cooked quite enough, the yogurt/granola w/ fruit is exactly what's expected. The saddest part -- they were out of their 'bold blend' coffee, so I had one of the worst cups ever. Water with coffee essence. The saving grace: the coffee was free w/ a Yelp check-in.

I came in wanting a great breakfast and boy was I in for a surprise. I ordered a skillet breakfast with no cheese and guess what? Yep, full of cheese. They were quick to bring out the right order, but there was still some cheese in it. The Staff was very nice and the place was clean. It might be a wile before I think about going there again.

  • Ken F.

The food was decent for a breakfast joint but the whole place gave off a very cold, corporate vibe. For example, when we met the hostess at the front to be given a table. There was a stack of cards with all of the waiters listed on them. We were given a table in a section with the waiter at the top of the stack. The card was then moved to the bottom of the stack. I have never seen such a rigid system at a restaurant before. Both my wife and I order a version of their eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly which is a plus. The side of potatoes was okay but nothing special. The Hollandaise didn't seem quite right to me, it was a little too thin and didn't have as much flavor as what I am used to from other places or at home. The biggest turnoff however was the fact that they couldn't figure out the yelp check-in deal. I checked in not expecting anything and then a free beverage check-in deal came up. I told the waitress about it but she wasn't aware of it and said that for checking in on facebook, I could have a dollar off. I tried to explain that yelp isn't facebook and that the deal was different but the message didn't get through. When we went to pay at the front, the hostess was again clueless and the manager was called over. The manager was also unaware and only gave us a dollar off. By that point, it was better just to give up than to keep trying. They don't really seem to get the whole concept of checking-in or yelp deals.

Wisconsin scramble - cheese overwhelmed the eggs. Our friend had the Athena scramble which was OK, but the waitress asked if she wanted cheesy fries and salsa with it. Our friend didn't particularly want them but the waitress said that that was her favorite thing and that she would love it so our friend said that she trusted the waitress and ordered it. What the waitress didn't say was that those additions would cost $1.00 apiece. We were not happy that the waitress wasn't up front with the charges. We felt taken advantage of and will not return. 8/17 I have been back to The Egg and I since I wrote my last review and now that I know to ask the price if offered any extras, it is one of my favorite places. It's a very accomodating menu for weight watchers, the huevos are great, my waffle was perfect, the waitress was funny, congenial and helpful.

As a fan of any "breakfast served all day" establishment, I had great expectations for this restaurant and I was surprised to find out that it is part of a chain. It shares a parking lot with a Chili's and, since I went around lunch time, the lot was pretty crowded. However, I live within walking distance so that wasn't really a factor in my experience. When I arrived they told me that it would be 15-20 minutes before a table was ready. That length of wait is never a show-stopper for me when I am at a place that serves up a consistently good meal. I was seated much faster than that, however. Here are my observations: 1. The time between when I ordered my food and when it was delivered to my table was unacceptably long. This was exacerbated by the fact that my server never stopped by in the meantime to let me know that the kitchen was a little backed up or "your food will be out shortly." A little communication goes a long way in this kind of situation. 2. You have to be specific when you order. I ordered an iced coffee and was asked if I wanted plain or one of their flavored varieties such as french vanilla. The french vanilla sounded good on a hot Sunday so that is what I ordered. When it came out I was surprised that it was already sufficiently creamed and way-too-sweetened. I was also surprised when my meal finally came out and the english muffin that I had ordered came out drowning in what I can only hope was butter. I ordered the eggs (scrambled) with turkey sausage. The quantity of food was good and I ended up with enough leftovers to make a smaller second meal. The quality was really only so-so. The turkey sausage looked house-made and the flavor was good but there was a fair amount of oil on the plate under them. They have only recently opened at this location so they still may be getting the kinks ironed out. If you live in Albuquerque I would, at this point, recommend sticking with the other major local breakfast- and lunch-only chain for a consistently good breakfast experience. The prices are about the same at both places. If you happen to be staying at the Sheraton adjacent to The Egg and I then I would say that this restaurant is sufficient for breakfast if you aren't running late. I will go back after they have had a chance to settle in and see if things have improved. (Turkey Sausage & Eggs* $7.69: Two eggs cooked to order with three turkey sausage patties, ranch potatoes and a choice of toast.)

We have been to the egg and I a few times since its opened. Every time we have visited it has been packed! Their Benedict's are all awesome! The raspberry pancakes are so good I crave them!! My husband and I have never had anything there that we didn't like. Service has been a little hit and miss.... Thus the reason for the 4 stars. We have gone were service was speedy and friendly... And one other time that we didn't even know who our server was. For now I will be chalking this up to being a new restaurant with a high volume of customers....I think they are just working out some kinks. We will definitely be back!

Best breakfast ever!!!! Benedict's are awesome and you have to split a pineapple cocoanut with the table and order the Parisan Benedict. The kitchen can take a little long sometimes but it is worth the wait.

Ultimately, my first impression of this restaurant was that it was a very casual and cozy. The service seemed like nice people, but then we sat down. We got our drinks and those were good except for we didn't get a water refill and I didnt even get ice. I'm half and half on the food it was good but the size was a little small and the price for that size is a little over the top. I got the breakfast burrito and my girlfriend got the chili rellenos. When it came to my burrito the insides were very well done, but the size of the entire burrito was pretty small. I also got the ranch potatoes those are really good though! My girlfriend's food was not what she was expecting. correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Chile rellenos was supposed to have cheese stuffed inside? The food was a 3 out of 5. The service was okay they were quick with taking the drinks and the food but after that they didn't come to check on us at all. the server girl even sat down with her friends at one point in the service because of how slow it was. Wouldn't that mean she would be able to at least come and ask if we were doing okay? Service was a 2 out of 5. The most interesting thing about our visit though was the manager afterward quoting that she knows the breakfast burrito was a little iffy as well as the rellenos was being a different spin on the normal dish. We may not be back for a while but the reason we may come back is because of the manager and her suggestions.

Nice casual place with good food. There typically a short wait for a table and the food does take some time to make, so I don't suggest arriving while starving :-). Servers and host staff were good and attentive. The cinnamon apple pancakes are definitely worth a try. They are a little unusual for pancakes but delicious!

Tried the Santa Fe huevos. It was serious and filling. I loved the green chili sauce that was smothering the food. Sour cream and hot sauce was a perfect touch to add to it it.

We went on a Sunday morning around 10 am. There was a 20 minute wait for 2 people, as was expected. One nice thing they do is provide complimentary coffee for guests while they wait. Our server was great, and took our order right away. If you order water, they bring a pitcher to your table. I'm one of "those" people who drinks about 6 glasses of water during their meal, so this was a nice touch. The food came relatively quickly and had a very nice presentation. Portions are more than enough. Nice combination of ingredients, although it seemed to be missing something... Maybe some spices? Overall, a great experience. Thank you for providing healthy brunch options! I will definitely be returning.

Always great food on the menu including if you are eating healthy. I seen the blueberry pancakes here and wow there humongous!! I love the.Berry hot oatmeal and the kids always have fun here with good big meals for the kids. Coffee is always fresh as is there fruit. I did not see any bad about this place staff is friendly and sufficient at there job. I've come here over a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. Even the kids burgers are full size. Bring the family and enjoy

I've been here twice so far and I love it. I didn't know it was a chain since I live on the East Coast and I've never seen or heard of one before. The hazelnut coffee is the best! I want to buy the coffee beans! The waitstaff is nice and the food is good. Nothing out of this world but I did enjoy my French toast.

When I go out and eat breakfast I am looking for a good hearty breakfast thats worth waking up and getting out of bed for and The Egg and I provides just that. This place has a senior citizens vibe going for it but the food is really good which makes up for the lack of ambiance.

I've eaten here three times, all of which are just A-OK. Service ranges from great to Mediocre. For example last time we went with friends and part of our food arrived late. The rest of us were eating while our friend joked about not getting breakfast as a punishment (his wife enjoyed that). On to the food, this place serves regular american style breakfast food, like Italian it takes work to do it wrong somehow something always seems amiss. On to the salt, my preferred name for this establishment would be "The Egg & Salt", I have never seen a restaurant use more of it. Don't believe me, go look at the nutrition info for eggs and potatoes. Oh but wait these guys make it difficult to see the nutrition info. So there you have it, wish I could end on a positive note I'm not going back here while so many better options exist in Albuquerque.

Service was exceptional and food was perfectly prepared. I'm happy they have locations all over, because they may bey new favorite place to eat, especially if the service is this friendly at every location. If you run across a The Egg & I - stop and enjoy a wonderful meal!!

Best food ever. I had the the banana cinnamon pancake and my wife ate the Monterey bacon & avocado Benedict. Everything was soooooooo delicious. I wish I lived in Albuquerque so I could eat here everyday. My server Britney was so friendly and helpful she really made us feel like valued customers. The manager was the most friendly and professional manager I have encountered in years.

I really enjoyed my breakfast at the egg and i. My eggs were cooked perfectly (with a name like that they better) they offer a lot of different types of hollandaise meals as well as other tasty treats. The potatoes which they call ranch fries threw me to a loop i was wondering "do the potatoes come with ranch dressing are they cooked in some kind of ranch concoction??" No they are called ranch potatoes because it's potatoes cooked the way they do on a ranch. Doh! Nice clean restaurant with filtered tasting water. I hate when you get a glass of tap water yuck not for me. I would defiantly come back and i would recommend this establishment to friends and family. If you haven't gone yet....go!

The wait to be seated was not long at all. We did only have two people. From the time we ordered to the time we were served our meal did take a little bit longer then it should have. However food was delicious. Service was exceptional. On a sad note the elderly gentleman next to us had a stroke. The staff handled this situation superbly. They were professional and extremely kind. All things considered definitely will go back. Make sure to check in before you were seated so you can get your one cup of free coffee!!!

A great little restaurant in Albuquerque. The staff was sweet and friendly, and the establishment itself has a cozy, warm vibe. The prices are just a bit high, but the portions you get make it well worth the price. The pancake I ordered must have been 10 inches across. You can easily take half of your food home and have another meal for later. Overall, a good experience. Don't forget to "check in" on Yelp for a free coffee!

I love this place! I've gone twice and the food is great. They have standard New Mexican breakfast fare...like the huevos rancheros. They also have skillets, omelettes, french toast, pancakes, or even a plain eggs and bacon breakfast. What I love is the selection of eggs benadict. The Egg and I has crab cake benedict, vegetable benedict, traditional benedict, southwestern benedict, and just about any other benedict you can think of. They are delicious! The coffee is also really good. We've had great service both times. Call ahead to put yourself on the waitlist on weekend mornings, as it gets super crowded. Delicious food, though! This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite breakfast places.

Yummy! This place is great for breakfast! Great atmosphere, plenty of parking and friendly service. I had the Colorado jack scramble which was perfectly cooked and had lots of tender crisp veggies in it. My dad had the crab cake Benedict which he said was great and my sis had a club sandwich and said it was ok. She should have ordered an eggcellent egg dish!

We went here with some friends from out of town on a Sunday, around 10 a.m. and was left with just a good feeling. I really appreciated only 30 minute wait for a party of 6, on tax free weekend. And the delicious stuffed French toast (everyone else at the table raved about their meal too). However, they forgot to cook a child's omelet and the poor kid had to wait until everyone else was about half way through their meal, to get his. Which he handle very well. I know mistakes are made, but they didn't even try to remove his meal from the ticket. Which I think personally they could have handle better.

The main reason I frequent this place for breakfast is because Grits are on the menu! Service is always quick and friendly. I like the carafe of tea or water at the table, makes it easy to keep drinking. My family loves the ranch potatoes. I have tried them and they are delicious. I have ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and the eggs and toast. I have ordered eggs cooked various ways and they are always done just right. You have the option of ordering grits, did I mention that already? Atmosphere is relaxed. Dh and I sit and talk while we eat. Also the ketchup bottles have a trivia game to play while you wait the food. We have had an amazing time playing these games. Free wifi at the restaurant so you can play and not use data! If you are looking for chile, don't eat here! But if you don't know what grits are, try them out here instead of chile! Although green chile cheese grits are delicious they are not sold here.

Had breakfast on Friday on my way back to Phoenix. I had the Crab cake Benedict. It was good but served up a bit on the cold side. Probably had to wait for my wife's oatmeal to be served. Overall, the food was good, but should have been served up hot.

A huge variety of delicious breakfast items. The waitstaff was very helpful and friendly. There is several items on their menu I would like to go back and try. Overall a unique perspective on breakfast items you won't find other places. Most menu items under $10!

Wow! The Green Chile Chicken Hash is Amazing! Diced chicken with pork green chile topped with fried eggs with guacamole and sour cream. Mouth watering goodness here. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 star review is because for the price I think the portions can stand to be a little more hearty considering that the entrees are so full of flavor that my taste buds had me contemplating licking the plate clean.

I went here with my parents who I was visiting over the holidays. I'm spoiled by breakfast places here in Portland. This place to me was nothing special. Not many places in ABQ serve breakfast with organic or sustainable fare like in Portland. This place was ok. Nothing to complain about really. Breakfast did take awhile to be served, but they were busy. Sitting next to the windows was chilly too but better than in that back room I thought. It was ok.

I visited on a Friday morning. I had an omelette and it was fantastic. It had sausage and onions and was covered in cheese. I don't eat bread so I wS surprised they allow you to substitute fruit for no extra charge. Great breakfast place!!

This place is definitely hit or miss in my opinion. I get the same exact thing every time (Wisconsin scramble) and it tastes different every time. It was really good the first time I had it but ever since it has been just ok or not good. Have been here probably 6 or 7 times. The ranch potatoes are good but lately they have been hard and crunchy, same with the English muffins. The wait staff is also hit or miss, when asked how everything tasted I let the waitress know that the potatoes were very dry and hard, she apologized and walked away. The regular coffee is always good. Might need to try something else next time if I decide to return.

This place is is great! I ordered the Parisian Eggs Benedict, and was thoroughly pleased. The service was great (even though the place was packed and super busy). Food was excellent, and the dining area was clean and well lit/decorated. I wish there were more places like this for breakfast.

My waitress Virginia was so sweet. My breakfast croissant which I added spinach, onions, substituted ham for bacon, and bell peppers was AMAZEballs. That's all that's important to say in this review. The end.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in town when I'm in the mood for a Belgian waffle and some ranch flavored potatoes with sour cream. It's close to my house and it's definitely a family orientated restaurant. Each time we go we usually wait an average if 15 minutes or so to be seated but it's a painless process and they deliver a pot of coffee when you sit down rather than a cup which I always appreciate. Prices are moderate and my server has never not smiled at us when stopping by (frequently), to check on our table. Their eggs Benedict was tasty but I'd probably only suggest getting breakfast since the lunch items didn't impress me. All in all, it's a solid spot to grab some decent coffee and a scrumptious breakfast.

Wow wow wow, super clean, super nice, super yummy! As a former Marine and former restaurant manager I am picky on the cleanliness of the staff and they were squared away!

This place is delicious! They are quite fast with service which is awesome. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed, and an iced tea is quite large! So far my visits have been in the late morning on weekdays, I can only imagine this place is packed on the weekends. There are several tables large enough for parties of 6 and a few for larger groups. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is very clean.

Kinda surprised by this place. Having been staying at the Sheraton next door for over a month and finally decided to try it. Very good food. Only reason not 5 stars is because of the amount of oil they use. Other than that all is good here. Servers are super friendly. Prices reasonable. Would recommend!

We found this restaurant on Yelp, with great reviews so we decided to try it! I had the eggs Benedict and they were sooooo tasty! My husband had the French toast which was ok. The middle was to soft and soggy. The Waffle was ok. Too dry. But they have awesome potatoes with Ranch seasoning. The service was great! Out waitress was so nice and got everything out quick. Checked on us regularly. The place is in a nice area. And the restaurant is nice and clean!

Very happy with the quality of the food. The amount in my opinion is just right. I asked for no salt on my egg white omelet and it came out perfect. Virginia was our waitress, (from Lithuania) and she was very attentive and professional. I realize that the younger generation is all about tattoos and piercings, but I must say that I would like to see all the ink covered up :-) One critical point: When we came inside to be seated, we watched as two of the hostesses (?) decided where they were going to seat us. It took them a few seconds to figure it out, and once they decided where we were going to sit, the young lady was not all that friendly. I realize that we are in New Mexico, but I still want to expect great customer service. The waitress made up for the hostess for me, and I will try this place again some time :-)

This is a great place for breakfast. I hade the made-from-scratch Corned Beef Hash, and it was delicious! My server, Cheryl, was very attentive and friendly. I'll definitely rerun, the next time I'm in ABQ.

I live walking distance from this place, so I decided to finally try it. They have rainforest alliance certified coffee and a very good selection of benedicts. I got the hiker's benedict, which had an impressive array of vegetables. The front of house was a bit disorganized, but friendly. I will definitely come back here again.
